- Abbey (7/5): - Setting and warmth of the staff Didn't have hot water and had to go to another room to take a bath which iwas very unfortunate. Need to improve to also have the room ready with all facilities in time and not provide limited and not all to make someone's stay enjoyable without interruption

The staff was friendly The bathroom shower was leaking at the base such that the whole toilet floods with water while showering
There was a kettle in the room but no cups, no glasses.
The carpet is very dirt. This cannot be rated a 3 star hotel. The images shown on the website are an exaggeration.

Love how big the mugs are had a nice cup of tea in it. We had to shower with cold water !! So disappointing, the hot water is limited at night

In the morning the water was extremely cold and it didn't have pressure. There was no toilet paper towels and tea stuff and cups. I had to go down and fetch everything. Only one channel on TV.

- Muthaphuli (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zamaswazi (10/5): The courtesy of the front line lady - Staff and food None
- Hlalala (3/5): Poor -
- Mthombeni (10/5): Warmest reception at Garden Top Hotel. - Their curtacy and etiquette, out of this world. It's surprising that an institution may achieve to recruit literally all excellent staff from their general assistant, security, reception, kitchen.
I liked the fact that my daughter and I were attending my son's Graduation at University of Johannesburg, We arrived later than check in time, yet warmly welcomed. I was feeling discomfort and not feeling well when driving from the university to the venue, due to stomach ache. The Super Chef tailor made my supper to suit my condition. During breakfast I watched my daughter indulge in their well balanced breakfast. The Chef again prepared my oats and herbal tea.
It was rainy and cold. My daughter and I felt the warmth, we wanted to extend our stay, but I needed to consult for my health.
We were surprised to find our car washed clean ❤️. I didn't like the road from University of Johannesburg towards the venue. It might be due to the fact that we did not know the place well, we navigated and we got a road with potholes.
- Mathaha (10/5): Exceptional - It was great
- Mavuso (10/5): It aweresome beside being treated like kids as if we were staying for free - The price I had in bookin is not the same as the price I paid when I get to the venue The attitude with their security was not right especially during the day the night shift security and reception was good during check in
- Micky (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel is very clean and the staff are fantastic, very friendly.
- Akhona (10/5): My stay was comfortable - Had the best vacation. The receptionist Elizabeth and the Chef were outstanding very accommodative and welcoming Nothing
- Innamorato (10/5): Exceptional - The rooms were safe, clean and spacious No towels in the room ,the fridge wasn't working
- Baleni (1/5): N/A - Staff very helpful Linen very dirty , maybe the property should use darker linen than white linen (staff very kind helpful)
- Mdletshe (1/5): Bad - Nothing Room was dirty, bedding was having sperms and drops of diarrhea x
- Swastika (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was the best. Staff did their best to make us comfortable.
- Manando (10/5): Go and visit Garden Top Hotel u will never Go wrong because the price is reasonable 👌 - I like everything about the hotel and is Very clean n quiet Everything was perfect
- Mirriam (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tjiparuro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tjiparuro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Precious (9/5): I enjoyed my stay at Garden Top Hotel and would definitely recommend it - Almost everything. The service was very good Nothing at all
- Lefoka (2/5): Very poor - the reception staff and cleaningness Cold water in the morning, late breakfast
- Tshego (8/5): I guess it's value for the little money we paid as breakfast is included ... - There was no backup water supply, there was no water im the fridge , there were no cups and spoons for tea yet all tea and coffee stuff is there... The basin is way too small.
- Thuso (5/5): Passable -
- Lloyd (9/5): Superb -
- Nelisile (1/5): If crummy hotels had a prize, this hotel would be the winner! - Firstly, we couldn't check in when we arrived at 2:30pm because the rooms were not ready. We had to wait on the chairs while they cleaned.
Secondly, there was no water. Nobody even bothered to warn us so we can carry our own gallons, sigh! The receptionist comfortably told us that we will get water the next morning. The next morning came and there was still no water, therefore we couldn't bath or use the toilet for the rest of our stay.
Thirdly, the lack of service. Beside the security guard and receptionist, we didn’t see anyone. It was a lonely, crummy hotel with no water and curtains that fall down if you close them.
I hope the owner reconsiders if this is really a hotel or just a shelter with four walls that he charges people to walk through.
- Tele (4/5): Was pleasant enough - Breakfast Bed sheets don’t fit the bed. One light was broken and was falling out. Bath was old and cracked. Was uncomfortable. I had to wear flip flops and stand while washing . Chipped plates and grey stain on pillow.
- Kwena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sithembinkosi (7/5): Good until we got our passports and other valuables stolen - Kitchen staff was amazing and the breakfast was good We had our valuables including passports stolen
- Kenneth (3/5): My Regretable return - Nice bathroom, with Jacuzzi.
The chef was good, even though the breakfast was not the best but his service was awesome Poor management of the hotel.
No one checked if our room was ready for new guest before we came. Our linens were dirty. Another guest was complaining about dead battery for aircon remote. It was nothing near my first time experience here.
- Sebenzile (4/5): Disappointing -
- SEHEMBZ (8/5): - Nice and friendly staffs
- Dlamini (7/5): Good -
- hani (8/5): Good hotel - Everything went well the breakfast was fine, same breakfast every day, away from downtown you need a car or an Uber there is no buses.
- Winners (2/5): I regret sleeping there. Pillows were dirty, towels were not there unless you ask, dirty kettle was - I never had breakfast, the pictures I saw on the internet differ with what I saw with my naked eyes. Very poor place. Poor standard. A place for foreigners eating drugs. I can't recommend anyone to sleep there. I actually regret booking on line. NO MORE!!!! Close the facilities and renovate everything and train the staff on hospitality.
- Themba (8/5): Very good -
- Sbongokuhle (1/5): Bad - Food only👌 Everything about that place 😪😪they refused to give us our money 💰 😪even the pool was cleaner not cleaned👍
- Neo (8/5): Very good -
- Dennis (5/5): Passable -
