Guest Reviews
- ZIXUAN (7/5): It's okay to stay overnight temporarily. - When we checked in, there was no electricity in our room. The staff quickly helped us resolve the issue. Although breakfast wasn't a buffet, it was delicious. The hotel room was too small for a four-star hotel, especially for three people.
- Rory (9/5): Awesome stuff - The room was amazing, bed, shower, bits like hairdryer water bottle etc The view was just of a wall and and pipes, I did not pay for any better view so not complaining really! But I would say a room with no view could be a little cheaper than almost 200 quid

- John (8/5): -
A éviter ! - La proximité du tramway ! Le lit était coincé entre 3 murs et un passage de 1m constituait le seul espace de la chambre pour un prix par nuit de 250€ à peu près, du jamais vu!!! Même l'eau en carafe, parce que filtrée, était payante !
- Vincent (10/5): Compact room but everything you need in it; bring a coat hanger or 2 - Friendly staff, no noise from the bar and a good breakfast on the roof. Very thin walls so you could hear the stuff you’d rather not, in the morning
- VLAD (8/5): -
- Anna (5/5): -
- SarahHY (7/5): Very stylish place and nice staff but the room was tiny with no desk. Parking was an issue. - The hotel is very stylish, the staff are lovely, rooftop restaurant has lovely views, the location is good. I booked the wrong hotel. I found the room uncomfortably small, no storage or desk to work at. I would rather these comforts than gadgets like a fancy hairdryer (that requires a deposit fee). Parking was limited, five minutes walk away and for an extra fee, it took me a while to figure out the instructions. There is little available street parking and what there is looks to be time-limited. Again is me not the hotel, but I don't like the idea of soft padding surrounding a hotel bed, would feel happier in something that is easier to keep clean.
- Emma (10/5): Fantastic hotel with brilliant staff! - The staff are absolutely fantastic. They are so welcoming and helpful they make the hotel experience at The Devlin so enjoyable that it made me come back and stay for a second time! Drinks cannot be ordered to the room.
- Caitriona (10/5): -
- Dave (5/5): - Breakfast room view Bed access poor
- Patrick (3/5): -
- Ainhoa (9/5): - La zona está muy bien y el hotel es muy bonito La habiatacion demasiado pequeña
- siobhan (10/5): -
- James (6/5): Adequate but the check in and out times really could be better and clarified more. - Staff are friendly and helpful, unique layout and building. Retro feel The check out is advertised as 12pm on the website and booking.com but apparently it's 11am? I've no idea why it's not advertised as that. I think it's poor as Check In is also quite late at 4pm
- Cara (10/5): Great location, great facility, great staff - The Devlin is conveniently located by public transportation, the rooms are adorable and clean, the staff is amazing We love everything about the property at the Devlin. It’s a perfect place for us to stay.
- Mc Fadden (10/5): -
- Jamal (10/5): -
- Cynthia (7/5): Loved it, room a little small but comfortable. - Location, atmosphere, food, staff very helpful and friendly. The shower is the best one ever would come back just for that!!! There was a considerable amount of noise in the evening, when I got back to the Hotel at 11:30 there was a 40th party going on the and music could be heard from my room on the 1st floor and this was the case the night before when there was a DJ playing in the restaurant below. Customers were also very noisy in the corridors having conversations at midnight and in the early hours, doors slamming etc.. I know that this is out of your control but maybe a polite notice to guests to be mindful that they are not the only ones in the hotel.
- Julien (5/5): -
- Tobias (8/5): - Cool hotel with friendly staff and close to tram station Unfortunately our room never got cleaned the entire time, even though we asked multiple times to do so.
- Miriam (9/5): - Modern look Nothing
- Gail (9/5): - Location
- Robert (10/5): Simply excellent !!! - Immaculately clean , range of drinks and service was fantastic . Staff very helpful and very quick . Great experience overall and there were 11 in our party all thought the same . Thank you so much for a wonderful evening and night . We will definitely be back !!! Quirky but beautiful .
- Mark (8/5): Great location, place to hangout and spotlessly clean - Everything was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed and more Just a cool place to stay and was super clean
- Saulius (10/5): - Very good and cute hotel in a quiet place. Location is also very good. Hotel is near bus stop, where stops 783 route bus heading to Dublin airport.
- Patrick (10/5): -
- Borges Tha (10/5): - Beautiful modern and comfortable hotel Nothing.
- Doris (6/5): - The location and the public area, Restaurant/Bar etc.
The bed was comfortable. The room was small. That would be OK but the room in my view is very badly designed.
Distance from toilet to glass separation from shower...... Just a few hooks on the wall,.....no place to put your luggage (you have to put it on the floor) the remaining space is occupied with accessories nobody needs or things the hotel wants to sell.
Some alarm light was blinking above the bed in the night, noise and smell from ventilation outside in front of the window......
The room looks good but not practical for the guest and not practical to clean and maintain.
- Scott (4/5): Bedrooms don't do it for me, need more space. Personal opinion. - Quirky nicely decorated The bedrooms are too small; bed was pushed against a wall/window. Appreciate these are visible in the photos but I would of expected more room to move around.
- Bernadette (10/5): -
- Jon (3/5): Not to be repeated, black mould in shower low down room 112. Not acceptable. - Location Very poor level of service from reservation call center, clearly not on site and long waiting to talk to them about an additional night stay . Having paid in advance for two nights I only stayed 1 and moved elsewhere.
- philip (3/5): -
- frank (9/5): Very good - Great location .
Friendly and efficient staff.
Good breakfast menu .
- Damian (2/5): - There was very loud music in the lobby that you could hear from the room. Rooms are very small. The kettle in the room did not has a necessary adapter. If you go by car there's no parking reservation and it's off-premises (around 10 minutes walk).

- Jon (1/5): Spoiled by unexpected €100 deposit on arrival. - Location Very difficult to deal with out of hotel reservations team. Shower black mould on tiles room112. 2.30 pm and room still had not been serviced.
- Maria Lorena (10/5): Great stay & staff - The location was very good, the bed very, very comfortable even though we didn’t sleep much. We’re definitely coming again. The staff was very friendly and helpful. -
- Svitlana (9/5): -
- Pauline (1/5): Extremely unsatisfactory, our worst hotel experience and I will be communicating this. - Location was good Room allocated for two was not as advertised. The double bed was only accessible from one side unlike the picture on website, we booked a double room but only given a cosy room. . Breakfast had to be returned as the croissant was extremely stale and unable to break into. The rashers dry and shrivelled, fried eggs burnt, tea provided lukewarm warm. The bathroom was arranged as a disability room but nowhere to place your own toiletries. The outside noise from the ventilation system precluded sleep.
- Ronan (10/5): - Close to the city center and transport by Luas or bus None
- Ronan (10/5): - The breakfast was excellent and staff were lovely
- emanuele (9/5): -
- Lisa (7/5): -
- Abraham (10/5): - Amabilidad Todo muy bien

- laFleche (8/5): - Loved the vibe and the staff, very clean! Bed was too soft
- Zach (8/5): - Great location and wonderful staff at front desk. Comfortable beds. We were here on a Saturday and Sunday night. The entire downstairs bar was closed for a private event both nights. There was a full blown DJ dance party until midnight on Saturday which prevented us from enjoying a cocktail. Unfortunate that this area was inaccessible both physically and energy-wise as this was an advertised amenity. So, maybe double check what the hotel’s event schedule is before booking.
- Shirley (10/5): -
- Geoffrey (10/5): Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff set in a central location with easy transport links. - Staff, decor and food
- Stephanie (8/5): - Everything! Staff, decor and the food in the restaurant was amazing. Rooms a little small.
- Michelle (10/5): -
- Sara Sokorelis (7/5): Pleasant - The staff and the location was excellent The room was small
- Jason (7/5): It was pretty average as pretty expensive along with the restaurant - Location was good Stains on bedding found, radio in room didn’t work. Even contacting receptionist they didn’t know what to do.
- Margaret (10/5): -
- Keith (9/5): Friendly and cool hotel in a great Ranelagh village location - Cool vibe. Lovely staff. Quirky rooms Nothing but room better for one than two
- Reece (8/5): -
- Ollie (10/5): -
- annette (9/5): -
- jimmy (9/5): - Bed soooo comfortable nothing
- Marco (8/5): - Terrazza panoramica molto bella. Stanze molto piccole.
- David (8/5): Boutique hotel in trendy neighborhood - The staff, the breakfast and the bar Beginning to look a bit run down
- Laura (10/5): Staff were so friendly and helpful! Let us keep our bags there for the day free of charge after we checked out :) - Walking distance to public transport Nothing
- AKTİF BESİN (7/5): -
- Angela (7/5): - Climbing in and out of the double bed was a challenge
- Georgia (2/5): Misleading snack display, inconvenient parking and a very drafty room, although the reception staff was professional and - The gentleman at the reception desk was professional and helpful. Parking is very inconvenient. The nearest parking is about a 10-minute walk away and costs around €15 per night, with only a few spaces available. In the room, chocolates, sweets and chips were displayed on a shelf in a way that gives the impression they are complimentary, like a welcome treat. However, even if this was mentioned somewhere, it was not clearly communicated, and the surprise comes at checkout when you discover they are charged. The worst issue was the room during the night: despite the window being fully closed, there was a strong cold draft coming through it. It was so uncomfortable that I had to place a blanket along the window to block the air and be able to sleep.
- Brianna (10/5): Really enjoyable! I’d definitely go back! - The staff were so pleasant. The rooms were spotless. Good vibes from the minute we checked in. The parking situation isnt great. We didnt know they didnt have their own car park. We also didnt know you had to pre book parking so when we arrived we had to park on a random street. Would be great if this was highlighted when booking :)
- Calem (8/5): -
- Steeve (10/5): -
- Brian (5/5): -
- Hannah (10/5): Fabulous stay with staff that go above and beyond for their customers. - Quirky, rooms with everything you needed. Staff were brilliant. Small room but this didn’t bother us really for what we wanted.
- Neil (6/5): -
- Guest (10/5): - Loved everything. The food, staff and facilities were amazing.
- Mark (9/5): Lovely cosy room in nice part of the city, would recommend. - I stayed in a small double, it was small but very cozy and well appointed. Great resturatunt on the roof and many fine restuarents in the the area. Its 15/20 minute walk to the centre of dublin and its easily connected by tram too. Parking options are limited.
- Július (8/5): Perfect calm stay in Dublin with everything in one place. - Perfect arangement of hotel facilties. Bar, restaurant, cinema, espresso window with light pastry, great hotel staff, everything you need, or dont even need in the room.
Very good location - bus stop very near, basic services also few meter away.
Very pleasant experience. When I think back, I recall a leaking shower with lots of mould in it, that was a little disturbing and inconvenient, since we had to mop the floor after every shower session.
- Favero (9/5): -
- Sanchez (10/5): -
- Maria (8/5): Lovely rooftop but parking an issue - lovely roof top bar restaurant and very nice staff and lovely white towels. Car parking is a real issue with the car park only having 7 spaces and a good 10 minutes walk from hotel and difficult to find. Hotel on a busy road with no set down awkward for taxis. Walls thin so early morning was quite noisy with doors banging. Room needs a bit of tlc.
- Power (2/5): - A stay which was massively disrupted by other guests who had a loud altercation during the early hours. As a result, I had a very poor night’s sleep.
The room was satisfactory, albeit expensive for the size. The experience was blighted by misbehaving hotel guests which I appreciate was difficult to handle for the hotel staff.
- Leana Lilly (8/5): -
- Saoirse (8/5): My new favourite hotel. And my family said they would also return with husbands. - Love, love this hotel. Home from home.
Staff are so helpful and friendly. As a solo female traveller I feel safe and secure.
This is a gem and a find of a hotel.
Food definitely could be improved.
Soughdough would break your teeth! But everything else is perfect. Noise of deliveries at 6am
.sorted with earplugs.
Food definitely needs to be looked at.
But Irish breakfast is fantastic.
- Kiley (10/5): -
- Buttle (5/5): Ok stay but smell of sewage constantly in my room 103 - Staff
Ease of booking
Early drop off of luggage Very bad smell of sewage in room for all of my stay. Room 103
- Floris (9/5): Yhe Devlin really felt like a home I would like to return to - I appreciated the atmosphere of the interior: Bar, Rooftop, hallways, even the stairs. The bed is good but for a 2m/6'7'' person maybe a bit boxed in. Diagonal yes.
- Julia (8/5): - Great and affordable place to stay, very comfortable and good location if you don’t have a car. Parking wasn’t onsite which was a bit of a hassle considering the bad weather but not bad, and no water in one of the two rooms we booked.
- Rachel (5/5): - Comfortable bed and clean room. The lady on check in was really nice and friendly. The barman in the lobby restaurant wasn't very pleasant 😕 not sure he wanted to be there. No water in the room to drink unless you bought it from the mini bar. Rooms not soundproofed. Could hear everything through vent. Compared to other hotels in the area I think it is lacking.
- Catherine (10/5): Will return - Excellent staff, lovely decor and very comfortable. Rooms are small but every inch is utilised.
- James (8/5): -
