• Thomas (10/5): Amazing Plaka location -Great Stay Apartment!! - The location of this Plaka neighborhood apartment was absolutely incredible, a one minute walk to the main square in Plaka near all the restaurants, bars shopping and historic sites. The entrance to the Acropolis and Parthenon was a short 5-10 minute walk which was very convenient. The apartment itself had all the comforts of home with comfortable bedding, a nice kitchen area with full refrigerator, a table and chairs and our favorite perk, a washing machine!! It was on the lower level of the building and the lock was a little tricky at first, but the host communication was excellent and guided us through the entry process. The host provided restaurant recommendations, and valuable transportation information. We arrived very early way before check in, but another fantastic and unexpected feature was free bag storage at a local cafe where we met the manager who kept our bags safe while we went sightseeing. We had breakfast there and the food was fantastic!! This apartment was a fantastic value for stays in Plaka and was clean, comfortable with a prime location. With the money we saved vs. area hotels we were able to enjoy a fantastic meal (and more) at a delightful nearby restaurant with a great happy hour called Byzantine. All in all, the apartment was a great, highly affordable stay in an incredible location. We will be back!!
• Grant (7/5): Great location being close to shops, restaurants and tourist attractions - Great location. Owners were very helpful when we arrived and place wasn’t cleaned. Did a great job in sorting out. A few things were not great. Shower flooded very easy and left floor very wet in toilet. I think that’s Greek plumbing. The bed is getting old and a bit uncomfortable.

• Alexander (6/5): - We stayed at Nephiria Apartments (Plaka, Athens) from July 31–Aug 4. We arrived past midnight, so the contactless check-in with the key in a lockbox was a lifesaver. The apartment was cozy, clearly recently renovated, and had a nice bedroom, den, bathroom, and a kitchen stocked with basics — even a drip coffee machine with grounds (though the espresso feature didn’t work). The hot water was off by default, but it was easy to switch on using the instructions at the entrance. The included wifi was fast and the smart TV was nice. The hosts sent us a friendly, detailed message the day before check-in with clear entry instructions plus lots of restaurant and activity recommendations. They were responsive to our questions and even to small requests. A couple of downsides: the mattress was just a thin foam pad that sloped toward the middle, so it wasn’t the most comfortable (though after long days exploring, we still slept fine). The bigger issue was finding multiple dead cockroaches each time we came back from being out. We messaged the hosts, who told us they fumigate regularly and sent a cleaner the next day to remove them, but it definitely put a damper on the stay. Overall, the location and layout were great, the hosts were kind and responsive, but the pest issue made it hard for us to fully enjoy the place.
• Harroch (3/5): Location was great but I wouldn’t stay here again. - The location When we got to the property there is a sign at the front door warning to close the door because there are thief’s , the back door to the back alley was open which instantly made us feel unsafe. The bathroom was renovated but very slippery . I slipped on the tiles after my shower. There was a dead cockroach at the entrance and one we found in the living area. The ac wasn’t working even though it was on the lowest setting .

• Karen (8/5): Fabulous location - The apartment is spacious and nicely decorated. There is a microwave, a small oven and 2 burners. We had use of a nice coffee maker and kettle. The bathroom seems to be newly refinished. The location is fantastic to reach all the main tourist spots yet it is on a fairly quiet side street a short walk from the national gardens. Our hosts were helpful and accommodating and self check in process was really easy. It is a bit damp smelling. We didn’t hang our clothes in the closet because of the damp smell.

• Gail (9/5): So MUCH to like ! - The apartment was very fresh and attractively decorated. We found enough necessities provided for our stay of 3 nights. The location is OUTSTANDING! It was only an 8 minute walk to the Acropolis and everything there! It was only a 4 minute walk to many nice restaurants. AND the hosts quickly answered our last minute questions. We were very happy there.
• Peter (7/5): Great location lovely hosts and good value for money - The location, room size, amenities and ease of everything, I noted base don earlier comments that the bathroom had been renovated and was sufficient of our needs. The bed was uncomfortable, the mattress needs to be replaced and th ebed creaks when you go near it, a bed side table either side would be useful but not necessary, id ask the owners to spend a night in the bed.

• Greg (9/5): Fantastic stay. - Amazingly close to everything we wanted to see. Right in the heart of the old city. We were able to walk to all the sites, shopping and dining. Our hosts were fantastic responding to all our questions The sofa beds were a bit on the hard side. Daughter couldn't sleep on it. Maybe a mattress topper would help for future guests. Not a deal breaker however. Just meant Dad had to sleep on it LOL
• Shelby (10/5): Exceptional - This is located in an amazing location. Every attraction is within a 20minute walk. Setting up a driver was very nice as well to pick us up from the airport and To be able to privately message them for any other ride needs. Nothing bad to say.
• Toni (8/5): We loved the fact that Angelina's apartment is so well situated and enjoyed our stay. - This was our second time staying at this apartment and we were happy that we were able to book it again. We love the fact that it is so close to the plaka, and within easy walking distance of museums, restaurants and the Acropolis. Angelina sent us clear instructions in terms of getting the keys for the property and recommendations for our stay. She also very kindly organized for us to be picked up in Piraeus which we really appreciated. Since our first stay she has remodeled the bathroom and it is stylish, with a great shower. We love the fact that there is a little kitchen so that we were able to make tea and coffee and our own breakfast and snacks. Her apartment is very cheerful and nicely decorated and was a great option for us.

The location was great, downtown, we walked around for all the sightseeings and tge recommendations from Angelina were amazing! Woyld definetely come back! Nothing at all! Great experience!

• Helene (10/5): Exceptional - Everything really good, only minor comments below. In general, it was clean and cosy, ideally located. The management is easily reachable. Problem with the water of the toilet, which constantly runs. The functioning of the coffee machine could be explained (we couldn't make it work properly, there was always some water running on the wrong side of the machine). Mattress really soft.
• Ken (6/5): The property entrance was very dirty. - It had a washing machine and the hosts provided tea and coffee and sugar. The shower cubicle was very small and the shower curtain just didn’t do the job. water went everywhere.
• Shauneen (2/5): Overpriced, unclean, uncomfortable, didn’t feel safe, very unhelpful & agressive hosts. Wasn’t for me, & I’ll ne - Good location (once you get your bearings) - definitely have maps.me downloaded before arriving if you so decide to give up your hard earned cash to stay here. Taxi took me to the address that was given. Hecouldn’t drive due to the roads being so narrow (part of the beauty of this part of the city) and it being so late at night - early hours of the morning which the hosts had been informed of days in advance. Couldn’t access the building for nearly 30 mins which was frightful as a solo female traveller as it is located down side streets which are not very well lit. Prior to flying I had asked for an hour extra to check out on my last day so I could attend a tour. The response was very abrupt. At that point I should have listened to my gut instinct. On managing to gain entry to the building in the early hours of the morning (with zero help/contact from host) I was met with a very dirty entrance. The apartment is below ground floor, so smell & dampness was rampant. Although I was booked to stay on my own, I had a number of unwanted visitors (cockroaches & wood lice). I slept covered head to toe, & my luggage was never left unopened & I never unpacked. Time is needed to start the boiler for hot water which wasn’t an issue for me however worth noting for others who may decide to stay here. I had problems with the main door to the building & on one occasion I was unable to get out of the building for nearly an hour. This was another frightening experience and although messages, both texts & voice notes were sent to hosts, no one contacted to help. Indeed the only acknowledgement I got was when I received an automated message from hosts regarding my stay and to leave a good review, I responded asking if this was a joke message, to which I was given an aggressive reply and mocking my frightening experience of being locked in the building. Everyone has their expectations. This did not meet mine on a human basic need of expectation never mind the basic expectation of hospitality, courtesy & customer service you’d want from having handed over your hard earned cash to this type of business.
• Verified traveler (8/5): お風呂のボイラー以外は最高 - まずお風呂の入り方について書かなくてはなりません。お風呂に入るには部屋の玄関を入ってすぐ左にあるブレーカーで、ボイラーと書かれたスイッチをONにしなければなりません。この説明が無かったので、てっきり水を浴びなければならないのかと思ったほどです。この説明は宿主がするべきだと思いますが…けれどその他の点については最高です！ ただ、最終日に宿を出る時、宿の建物の扉が内側から開かなくなっていました…どういうことなんでしょう？何が起きている？パニックになりました。その日は帰国日だったのです！ もらった鍵はどれもささりません。万事休すかと思いましたが、鉄扉のプラスチック部分は開くことを発見。プラスチックの扉を開けて、鉄格子から腕を伸ばして、外側の鍵穴に鍵を差して、なんとか開けることが出来ました。 他の日はこんなこと無かったのに、なぜ帰国する日に…とにかく恐ろしい経験でした。他のサービスは本当に良いんですけれどね… 宿のすぐ近くから空港連絡バスが出る広場がありますから、交通の便については最高です。パンテオン神殿も歩いて行けますよ。
