• Anthony (10/5): - The staff were very friendly and professional. The hotel was very quiet and comfortable. I wasn't sure if I was to receive a benefit or not, and I wasn't made aware of any upgrade or benefit through this booking. I would definitely stay here again.

• Liisa (10/5): - This hotel is a bit tucked away. You'll need to walk a bit or take a train or a bus if you're planning to do anything in central Paris. But that's a feature and not a flaw for me. The room is clean, has air conditioning and there's a small elevator which in some places can be rare. It's lovely here, I'll be back!

Love the area near Canal St Martin, a slice of the real Paris but walkable to everywhere.

Hotel is good location for bars and restaurants of Canal St Martin and short metro ride to Eurostar and city centre. Room was quiet and good sparkling clean bathroom facilities. Wifi was bit problematic and we needed to keep logging in and bedside tables are tiny but overall a comfortable stay and nice breakfast. Would come again.

• Hanife (8/5): - Nice quiet hotel in the vicinity of Canal St Martin. We stayed in the deluxe room which was spacious and comfortable. Elevator was very small, not for claustrophobic people. We stayed at the last floor (6th) which was al right. Nice people and particularly because coffee downstairs was good and no extra charge. We didn’t take any breakfast, some good boulangeries and breakfast places nearby. Metro in walking distance & also bus on place de la republique takes you to hotspots.

• Diane (8/5): - When we arrived for check in, there was no one at the front desk. We rang a doorbell as indicated by a sign to get assistance, and waited several minutes. It was past 2200 due to our train being delayed into the city, and as we were waiting, I felt my anxiety rising - if no one showed, there was no number to call, and I could not find who in Expedia I would need to connect with in order to sort out another accommodation. Luckily, after about 10 minutes, staff arrived to check us in. I think as feedback, I would recommend the property have a note that says it may take 10 minutes for staff to arrive, if it is in the night and no one is around. Especially in the case that you know a reservation has not arrived.

The helpfulness of the staff before our visit and during was hit or miss— some seemed put out with even an easy question or minor request while others worked quickly to help with a positive attitude. The wi-do in the hotel was spotty and not always reliably strong.

Breakfast is lovely and top of the line espresso/coffee machines and sparkling and regular water machine are always available, anytime. Downstairs there’s a big table that’s good for working. I meet up with an international group of colleagues there once or twice a year and we all enjoy La Planque.

• Anne Marie (10/5): Hyggeligt lille hotel - Vi har haft et dejligt ophold på La Plangue Hotel i Paris. Meget venligt og servicemindet personale. Rent og pænt overalt. Lækker morgenmadsbuffet. Eneste minus er, at værelserne er meget små, og der er ingen skabe, så man kan ikke pakke ud.

• Dominique (6/5): - Fell short of expectations. I booked to stay a little outside of the centre as I wanted a little more for my money, but I actually got a little less. The room was very noisy, I was able to hear traffic outside and everyone who came up and down the stairs very clearly. The laundry being collected at 3am didn't help... It was also incredibly small. And not just "Paris" small. It would be a struggle for more than one person to stay here. I was solo and was glad to only be there for a couple of nights. There is no where to put a bag or any space to unpack at all (no shelves, drawers, sidetable etc.). It's just very awkward - For example, things in the bathroom fell onto the floor as there was just nowhere to put literally anything at all. Finally, the staff came across as angry that you were there. My check in was rushed and I wasn't told about breakfast or anything that was available to me (so, I didn't eat breakfast once and was made to feel stupid on checkout that I didn't know I could have had it every day) Such a shame as I wanted to like it!

The rooms are stylish and clean, the common areas are great & really quiet, I was able to do a Zoom meeting from the lovely courtyard garden & also share a bottle of wine with friends who came over to visit. The staff are really friendly & even gave me a free bus ticket when no Ubers/taxis were available!

• Verified traveler (8/5): Could be great, needs attention. - Beautiful decorated, staff were excellent and beds comfortable. But uot enough hanging space in rooms, no where to hang a wet coat. The desk is barely big enough to write a postcard and the chair is a low stool. Breakfast is basic - no hot food. Lift is so small it's a real squish for two people. (Two big people forget it) Kettle positioned in hanging space so the few clothes you can hang get nice and steamy. Nowhere else to put the kettle but on the floor.

• Hans (10/5): Lovely! - Charming rooms, friendly staff. The breakfast is the only (slight) downside. For the prize, other hotels offer more. I preferred to have a bite in the nearby coffeeshops instead, of which there are many around in that neighbourhood :).

The room was very clean and well maintained. The air conditioning worked perfectly as the temperature was around 42 degrees Celsius(107 farenheit).

Não tem frigobar no quarto. A iluminação do quarto é deficiênte, fazendo do quarto muito escuro. Os equipamentos vivem quebrados tais como a máquina de café e a de fazer gelo. O staff é simpático.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Definitely book here, you won't be sorry! - This was one of the best hotel experiences I've had in a long time. The staff was exceptionally friendly without losing their individual personalities. The room itself is well-appointed borderline luxurious with nice fabrics and cool decor, although, the bathroom -- with its large, standup shower and mosaic floor, was my favorite aspect. Beyond the room, we found the hotel to be rather centrally located for the places and adventures we wanted to explore. The nearby canal is so beautiful, full of life, and rife with places to pop into for dinner, drinks, snacks. When we return to Paris, we will totally stay here again!

• Stephen (10/5): Best kept secret - What a gem of a hotel a bit off the beaten path and just minutes from République square and Gare de l’Est. Excellent service, very convenient lobby and free coffee make it a great place to overnight, holiday or stay on a business trip. Also several great restaurants within 10-15 minute walk.
• Paru (10/5): - Situated in one of my fav areas in Paris, this stylish boutique hotel is just miniutes walk from Canal St.Martin as well as the great bars and restaurants around. Being close to the Goncourt Metro means all of Paris is easily accessible too. Big shout out to the staff especially Moos who made our check-in experience so great. We will definitely be coming back to stay at La Planque!
• Chelsea (8/5): - Definitely a 4 star hotel. The decor really makes up for whatever lacks, depends on what you look for when booking hotels. They offer light snacks in the lobby, if you’d like breakfast you are charged extra. I love boutique hotels so this was a decent pick. Only downfalls were the carpet and the small bathrooms. The bed, however, super comfortable. Things were clean for the most part. Hotel is in a decent area, near the metro and restaurants/cafe. Would recommend upgrading depending on how many travelers and your preference on space. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

• REBECCA (8/5): Quaint charming hotel in emerging neighborhood - This is a lovely, small boutique hotel with friendly, warm and personal service. The intimate lobby and breakfast area are warm and inviting, in contrast to a large fashionable hotel. There was daily water, coffee, croissants and snacks, and only a liquor license would have made it better! Rooms are comfortable and nicely designed. Bathrooms are clean but bare bones, with little to no amenities. Walls are a bit thin because it’s such a small hotel. The area is emerging, with great new restaurants close by, but it is not “picturesque” Paris as other neighborhoods are. Cost is a plus.
