- Lu (10/5): - I highly recommend this hotel! I was traveling with my dog, and they are truly pet-friendly, which made everything so easy and comfortable. I had two large suitcases that were hard to carry, and the front desk staff, Ms. Liu, kindly helped me bring them up to my room and even placed some of my food in the fridge. Her service was outstanding and very thoughtful. The location is also excellent — right on a lively street with plenty of restaurants, shops, and places to grab food, so it’s super convenient. They also arranged a shuttle bus to Pudong Airport based on my flight schedule, which made my trip much smoother. Overall, the service and experience were top-notch, and I will definitely choose this hotel again the next time I come to Shanghai. One small area for improvement: since this is a pet-friendly hotel and I had informed them in advance that I would be bringing my dog, it would have been even better if the room had been prepared with a water bowl and food bowl for the dog.

The only negative is the hotel was a bit warm, especially in the community areas. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely come back again! - Verified traveler (6/5): Only stay one night near airport - Night staff inept. Tried to tell me only on card key was available. Room lights were motion detectors which was terrible at night. Toilet had minimal privacy with only a partial clouded glass door. Breakfast was average. Gym barely plausible. Treadmill not right. A few interesting restaurants nearby. Close to airport.
- Huihui (10/5): Chic clean friendly resort-style hotel near PVG - Unique resort-style hotel, with cultural books displayed in the hotel rooms and tons of books in the floor-to-ceiling bookshelf in the 3rd floor cafeteria. I stayed there for 10 days in August. AC worked well. Love the laundry room, self-serving easy laundry. Two types of fruit teas and herbal teas were served at the front desk ball day long. Dried herbs were displayed in the hall way, free to take for freshness in hot summer. Super friendly staff. They use Bots to delivery small packages and food deliveries to the room doors. When I checked out, I had them ship two packages and one suitcase. The staff took care everything. All three packages arrived at my house in Hangzhou in two days as expected. With that, I flew super light from Shanghai to Beihai. Thumbs up! Make sure download WeChat and communicate with front desk real time in WeChat!

- SHUAI (2/5): - Be aware that the noted 24-hour shuttle does not run 24 hours. They picked up our phones during the trip but did not show up to pick us up. And the food is not as good as many other 4-star hotels. Better to stay away from it.

- Kylie (10/5): Wonderful stay - wish it was longer! - We stayed during a 28hr stopover in Shanghai - apart form being a little tricky to find (there’s signs for Moonlo hotel and Manli - the reception staff referred to the hotel as Moonlo) it was perfect. The room was nicely decorated, spacious, and very clean. Bed was super comfy. Also stocked with everything you could need! 10/10 - I wish we could have stayed a few more nights! Friendly and helpful staff that allowed us to check in early (for a small fee)

- Gordon (10/5): Good location for airport and Disney Land - Convenient for the airport, located in a small shopping centre area. Didi dropped us on road and entrance is visible from road. Quick check in. Room was big with plenty of hot water and lighting very good. Comfortable bed. Quiet room. No restaurant available for dinner but there are local options available nearby together with Pizza Hut, Burger King and Starbucks. Shuttle to airport was complimentary and worked well.

Hotel is beautiful and not your typical chain hotel decor, which was a refreshing change. Small kids play area in the lobby area, where one can enjoy tea as well. Convenience stores, Burger King and multiple dining options right at the doorstep. Take note that the hotel does not have a car front porch, you have to alight by the road and pull your luggage in about 30m (1-2 min walk). I did not really see how wheelchair accessible this was. Something to note.

- Shelley (10/5): - For anyone seeking a small boutique hotel style stay this place surely delivers. Its Great value, very clean and stylish rooms and comfortable beds and staff super helpful! I’ve not encountered anything similar in China - it seemed more in keeping with a holiday in Bali. Would highly recommend. And will stay again in my next trip to Shanghai.

- Brady (10/5): - Was looking for a hotel near pudong airport, and this is my new favorite (have tried many over the years). Pros: great service and especially great breakfast (and they have their own garden for cooking, which you can hang out in), very cool rooms, and there’s a lot of food options outside (we went for one of the noodle shops), and has an airport shuttle (you do need to reserve the times in advance with the desk staff). Cons: staff doesn’t speak English so best if you speak Chinese or have a translator app handy (I saw the staff are comfortable using them with the other guests), and the hotel is hidden inside a somewhat “old school” Chinese mall that isn’t the most attractive. Overall, great place if you’re looking to sleep a night near the airport or for a base from which to go to Disneyland.

Taxi driver called hotel but no answer. After 2 hours we eventually got there. As we were flying out the next morning and leaving at 5.15am there was no breakfast or airport transfer available. I wished we had booked an airport hotel as it would have been so much easier. Had dinner in a nice restaurant next to hotel. Hotel room was huge and. was a bit tiered looking. Had a deck outside which we used and it was nice and quiet. Not sure what was near the hotel as we didn't get to have much time there. Looked like a very family area with lots of children about. Excellent supermarket next to the hotel and was very cheap.
- Chong (10/5): - Moonlo hotel is awesome. I would heartily recommend it to all my friends. We arrived at the end of May, initially I booked the family suite with loft style but because my son is too young to climb and my parents are too old to climb, I asked for room change. They helped us free of charge and switch to the room that suit us the best. We had a wonderful three nights there, we rested very well for our Disneyland trip during the day. They also provide breakfast service with lots of food options which is awesome. The location is great - there are lots of restaurants and It is close to Disneyland and pudong airport.

- Maria (10/5): Cozy Hospitality - My stay was amazing! The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and caring, making me feel right at home. It was a short drive to Disney and the airport as well and very convenient if you have a long layover. Highly recommend for a cozy and welcoming experience.

We went to the breakfast quite late and the owner has offered to cook extra dishes just for us. It was raining when we leave and the owner and a staff member walked us to the shuttle bus with an umbrella. On top of the friendly staff, the interior of the hotel is full of characters. Highly recommended to all and we’ll surely be back again.

- Hannah (10/5): - I loved everything about this hotel. My stay was very short - only one night because I was in Shanghai for a layover. But I wish I was staying longer. Everything was great. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfy. But thing that made my experience extra special, was the morning right before I checked out. The breakfast was delicious, and the restaurant lady was the sweetest ever and made me an amazing wonton soup. It felt very welcoming. Check out was seamless and the front desk staff helped me carry my luggage to the car. Definitely have to come back and stay much much longer!

I highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional service, cleanliness, and attention to guest satisfaction.

Their Driver went above and beyond for us. We lost our luggage at the airport and he drove us to 2 different terminals and went in to the airport with us to make sure we found our luggage and head to the right direction for our next flight. The hotel itself is very quiet and clean. The atmosphere is very culturally in depth, but includes modern features as well. We are so grateful for everything and everyone there during our visit and definitely will recommend it to everyone.

- Wang (10/5): - Was on a overnight connection at PVG, and booked this hotel. Overall it was a satisfactory stay. Their airport shuttle service was quick and convenient, and the staff there were all very friendly and helpful. Their breakfast was beyond expectation, and facilities within and around the hotel were comprehensive. We booked a family suite, and the room was a little smaller than we anticipated, but it didn't bother much. Regardless of the language you speak, the staff would be able to serve you well. Will definitely come back again for next PVG trip.
- Peipei (10/5): Excellent hotel near PVG, Five Stars - This is our second time staying at this hotel. It offers convenient airport pick-up and drop-off service. All the facilities were great. More importantly, the service is amazing. Everyone we interacted with were professional and friendly. With our evening flight, it also allowed us to check out late, which we greatly appreciated. Couldn't have asked for a better stay and will stay again next time.

And very Impressed with the staff … so kind and polite and helpful. Finally, the shuttle is perfectly on time from and to the airport. I strongly recommend to you this wonderful boutique hotel !!!

- Akash (10/5): Great place for stopover - Stayed for a transit stopover (obtained the 24hr. visa to leave PVG). Was a little difficult in organising the shuttle to the hotel - the number provided didnt work, and when I did get through, turned out they charged for post 11pm pickups. Took a taxi - showed chinese address - took just under 20 mins, 60RMB (take cash) At night it looked a little weird, the hotel seems to be part of a mall complex, and setback from the main road. However, the photos are accurate - the reception guy didnt speak English, but was very calm and proficient with the translation app - so checkin was no problem Room/building is excellent - my bed was huge, mix of large and small pillows, quiet, very clean. Breakfast was quite nice - was an egg/noodle station (that I didnt avail of), and a small but good selection of hot/cold foods. Shuttle to airport came promptly on time at 9am - journery to T2 took around 16-18mins. Overall would strongly recommend - would suggest the hotel put an email address to communicate beforehand, and put a google maps profile.

- Timothy (10/5): - What a hidden gem this hotel was. Perfect for our 15 hour stopover in Shanghai. The staff allowed us to check in around 9am, which we were so grateful for. The family room had two huge king beds and the staff were AMAZING. I'm not sure of the name of the young guy at reception who speaks English but he had the best energy and was so kind and helpful and also made sure that we had breakfast which was so yum. Make sure you head to the wonton/noodle/omelette section of the breakfast because it's incredible. I wish we could have stayed another night or two but we had to catch our flight to Sydney. It was a little tricky trying to get the shuttle there so we just caught a cab but the shuttle back to the airport was clean, on time and free! Love this property so much. Thanks for having us.

We stayed one night after the long international flight, and travelled to a domestic flight the second day. We were pleased to book this hotel as it gave the local experience compared to the big chain hotel. The staffs are very friendly. The breakfast is extraordinary with variety of choices. Highly recommended!

- Xuping (10/5): - This hotel is really beyond our expectations. The staffs are helpful and thoughtful. The owner serves the breakfast buffet herself, and her homemade wonton is delicious and on the order menu everybody. We will definitely come back!
- Junyi (10/5): - The room is very clean, quiet and specious. Close to the airport, about 15-20 mins. The hotel tries to preserve Chinese culture, it’s in a small town in Shanghai you get to see the rural area in China at same time have a nice place to stay. I told them i need to leave around 7am and might need early breakfast they told me to come to the cafe around 630am, and accommodated my requests. The highlight is definitely the interaction during breakfast with a lady who woke up around 430am and made traditional Chinese and American breakfast for guests. I got to try food I haven’t had for years and the experience reminded me how delicious real Chinese food is compared to American food😄. She kept making food and kept feeding me like a grandma. Later the driver Liu took me to the airport and we had a conversation about the hotel, economic in China, he is super friendly. Overall this is a private owned hotel instead of corporate owned, they provide customized experiences. I appreciated the human interactions with people who works there.I rate the service 5 star.

- Wei (10/5): - We choose this hotel because it is near the airport and had good reviews. When we arrived, we are updated to a spacious room, and the bed and pillow are very comfortable. It was late night, some resteraunts nearby were still open, so we were able to enjoy a hot pot after a long flight. The breakfast was excellent that was personaly attended by the hotel owner.

- Craig (10/5): - MOONLO Hotel is great. It is a quick shuttle ride away from Pudong International Airport. The hotel had a relaxing vibe, a nice atmosphere, and unique aesthetic. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast was good and there are nice areas around the hotel to relax. They let us check out very late for a modest fee. It is situated with many restaurants and grocery stores right outside. I highly recommend this place.
- Li Hwee Jacqueline (10/5): - Having a 16hr transit from Shanghai to Chengdu, i decided to book a nearby hotel and i picked Moonlo, which is about 15 min away. Airport pickup can be quite a challenge as they are not allow to pick you up from Pudong T1 and you have to navigate your own way to T2. Pudong airport is big and arriving at midnight, most of the glass door leading to T2 were closed, you will have to walk to door 4, thru a long linked bridge to reach T2 carpark and the driver will meet you at level 1, H6 pillar. A good 15 min walk with all your luggages, I am glad i finally meet my driver (a very friendly driver i must say) and thereafter, everything im going to say about the hotel is 5stars. The room is clean, very clean actually. Staff all very friendly and nice, you feel like you are being treated like their family. Ms Yang greeted me at the breakfast lounge the next morning and she sure made my noodles extra tasty by adding some very nice seaweed from fujian, some dried tiny prawn and seasoning. I empty up the big bowl. The chef， 阿姨 i call her, made me some very delicious wanton too 现点现做馄饨 . I would say their top notch service make it all worthwhile.
- Zicheng (10/5): - This is a convenient hotel if you need an overnight stay for flight connections at Pudong Airport. The airport shuttle is highly dependable and wonderful, as the hotel offers individualized pick-up and drop-off, so just call/email before your arrival or let the front desk know your departure time. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, including shuttle drivers! The hotel and rooms are artistically and nicely designed and decorated. Stores and restaurants are nearby, including a nice Yunnan mushroom hotpot place right next door.
