- Radina (5/5): Hostel, not a hotel - Location is a definite plus, also good food. Level of service and amenities is of a hostel, not really a hotel. Staff barely speaks English, breakfast starts at 8am, kind of late if you plan early starts of the day. Rooms have charm but are really not sound-proofed well, we woke up multiple times hearing people above and outside. Bathrooms don’t have doors.

Didn’t try breakfast but stayed in the restaurant area in the evenings which was quite nice. Mattress was firm and WiFi worked well (with VPN) Even though it’s advertised as “The bund” expect location to be a bit far from major attractions. Roughly 30min (15min walk to metro, 15min metro ride) to Nanjing road Walls can be a little thin if you are sensible for that kind of thing

- SSA (10/5): A Gem Near the Bund - We chose this place specifically for its loft design, which made the space feel much larger. The layout was well thought out, with a separate sitting area and shower room on the lower level, and the sleeping area upstairs. That said, if having windows is a must for you, this might not be the best fit. The ground floor houses a very cosy, bistro-like café where breakfast is served. It’s a set meal that needs to be ordered the night before, but the food was delicious and generously portioned—we didn’t even manage to finish everything. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating; they even allowed us to customise our breakfast slightly on the second morning. My husband especially enjoyed unwinding there in the evenings with a beer. One night, we ordered the creamy truffle pasta along with some finger food, and it turned out to be one of the best pastas we’ve ever had. The chef was exceptionally warm and treated us like old friends, even spoiling us with extra dishes. The accommodation is nestled in a quiet, industrial-style area, about 10–15 minutes by taxi from the Bund (up to 20 minutes in heavier traffic). Considering the price, food, and service, it’s definitely worth the stay.

- Kamilya (9/5): Отличный отель за свою цену. Стоит учесть что спать на втором этаже сложновато, мы немного приболели и на втором этаже б - Расположение отличное, тихий район, но все очень близко. Много денег на такси не тратишь. Персонал очень милый, в отеле очень чисто. Из огромных плюсов - отель все наши посылки заранее принял и отдал нам в момент заселения. Огромный плюс - кофейня и бистро прям в отеле, можно попить кофе в любое время. Долго пытались с кондером разобраться, но почему-то он постоянно отключался. Не было щеток и в целом других предметов личной гигиены кроме мыла и банных принадлежностей. Но это мелочи, просто стоит учесть.

- Vivian Marissa (5/5): - Der Style des Hotels ist definitiv sehr cool. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig. Das Personal an der Rezeption ist etwas gemischt, die Dame die am meisten dort sitzt ist allerdings sehr nett und wirklich hilfsbereit. Wir haben z.B. während unseres Aufenthaltes etwas von der Apotheke benötigt und nicht finden können, weshalb sie es für uns bestellt hat. Das Frühstück war an sich lecker, hatte allerdings seine Mankos, dazu mehr im Negativen Abschnitt. Die Frühstückszeiten sind nur von 8 - 10 Uhr. Man muss bis 22 Uhr am Vortag sein Menü bestellen, es gibt kein Buffet. Die Auswahl ist sehr gering (Western Breakfast Set, Chinese Breakfast Set oder man kann aus 3 Kleinigkeiten auswählen. Getränke gibt es nur Schwarzen Tee, Milch, Kaffee oder Bier?? Zusätzliches muss man am nächsten Tag gegen Aufpreis dazu bestellen, selbst Orangensaft ist aber manchmal nicht möglich weil "die Küche geschlossen hat"?) Nun mag man meinen, dass das Frühstück bei so kurzen Zeiten Recht fix kommt. Dem ist nicht so. Wenn man zwischen 8 - 9 Uhr runter geht, muss man teilweise 30-40 Minuten auf sein Frühstück warten. Zweites großes Problem an dem Hotel: viele der Zimmer sind nach innen ausgerichtet und haben daher keine Fenster. Abgesehen davon, dass man sich schnell wie in einem Bunker vorkommt und keinerlei Indiz für Tageszeit etc hat, ist man dadurch aber auch auf die Klimaanlage angewiesen bei schlechter Luft. Diese ist aber (auf Nachfrage bestätigt vom Personal) zeitgeschaltet und kann NICHT frei vom Kunden genutzt werden. Zwischenzeitig war die Luft im Zimmer so stickig, warm und leer geatmet, dass man kaum schlafen konnte. Die Klimaanlage lief im Durchschnitt aber nur für 2 - 3 Stunden am Tag und nach Gefühl auch sehr willkürlich von den Zeiten her. Kleinere Mängel: es gibt keinerlei Ablagen für Kleidung. Bis auf ein paar Harken an der Wand ist man da schnell auf geschmissen und gerade bei langem Aufenthalt wird's schnell chaotisch. Die Betten sind auf einer erhöhten Etage. Diese ist nur durch Gittergeländer abgetrennt, es gibt aber keinerlei Möglichkeiten, sein Handy oder ähnliches am Bett zu verstauen. Hier wären kleine Hängekörbe am Geländer super, weil man sonst schnell Gefahr läuft , dass das Handy bis unten fällt. Oder man muss eben alles immer unten lassen.

La stanza era abbastanza pulita ma solo superficialmente. Di sicuro i muri hanno bisogno di una sistemata perché è bruttissimo vedere colature ovunque, soprattutto anche vicino al letto. Metro comunque lontana soprattutto se si vuole portare valigie con sé. C’è il bollitore ma non caffè e te, tazze senza cucchiaino. Manca un posto dove mettere i vestiti.

- Boyoung (2/5): shared bathroom unit 에 관한 것입니다. 호텔의 다른 부분은 몰라요 - 스태프들은 매우 친철했습니다. 좋은 사람들이라고 느꼈습니다. 바로 옆 건물에서 상하이 비엔날레 전시중이어서 걸어서 전시장에 갈 수 있었습니다. 다만 11시에 열어서 아쉬웠습니다. 10분쯤 떨어진 곳에 공원과 스타벅스가 있습니다. 실내슬리퍼와 bottled water 를 제공합니다. 이 코멘트는 내가 머문 SHARED BATHROOM Unit 에 관한 것이고, 이 호텔의 다른 부분은 모릅니다. 새벽3시 상해 도착이라 잠만 자고 나올 계획이었어서, SHARED BATHROOM 1박을 예약했는데, 시설이 너무 열악해서 깜짝 놀랐습니다. 상해에서 3개 호텔에서 머물렀는데, 다른 호텔들과 비교해도 너무 안 좋았습니다. 숙소는 건물 1층에 놓여있는 가로 세로 높이 대략 2.2m x 2.2m x 2.2m 정도의 RAISED CONTAINER BOX 였습니다. 창문 모양의 유리창과 블라인드는 있는데, 실제 열리는 창문은 아니었고, 방문 열면 바로 앞의 호텔 로비에 있는 식당이 다른 구조물들 사이로 보이고, 소리도 다 들렸음. 바닦엔 어두운 색의 카펫이 깔려있었는데, sticky 한걸 바닦에 떨어트려서 바로 줏었는데, 검은 먼지뭉텅이가 붙어있었음. 카펫 색때문에 눈에 보이지 않을 뿐 먼지도 엄청 많은 것이었음. 베드는 베드라기 보다는 daybed 라고 해야할 듯한 것이었음. 나는 샤워용 플라스틱 슬리퍼를 가지고 가서 그거 신고 샤워했는데, 맨 발이었다면 샤워 안하고 그냥 나왔을듯함. TV는 없었고, 영사기 같은것은 있었는데, 사용해보지 않았음 (사진참조) 사진에 중국어로 쓰인 노트내용은 객실내에서 식사를 할 경우 청소비가 발생할 수 있으니, 준비된 비닐을 깔고 먹으라는 내용입니다. 실제로 얇은 비닐을 하나 제공했습니다. 저는 그것을 바닦에 깔고 그 위에 트렁크를 놓았습니다.

- Valerie (10/5): Great vibes! - Spacious room with everything that you could need while away. The shower was always hot with great pressure. The bed was very comfortable, with options of pillows which we loved. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and kept us going for hours afterwards. We loved the coffee also! The hotel has such a great vibe & we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the metro station and 5 minute walk from a bus stop, both bring you into Shanghai city centre very quick and easy. The staff were so helpful and spoke a good amount of English. Fair play! Can get noisy in the corridor but the hotel provide earplugs. This didn’t bother us anyway as we were jet lagged and barely heard our alarm…

The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We received a free beer...that was a nice gesture. the window was a bit missing from the room. The door to the bathroom was missing It wasn't that close to The Bund.

- 宜旻 (10/5): 值得推薦的舒適居所 - 地鐵站出站有超市，很方便；住客點一樓餐廳餐點有折扣；房間很大，行李箱攤開後還有很多空間可以堆雜物；床超級舒適，所以第一天睡過頭，到中午才起床🤣🤣🤣，最棒的一點是環境很清幽，晚上很安靜，超愛，之後來上海會再選擇urside 距離地鐵有段距離，不過上海打車價格合理，地鐵站出站也有共享單車，下次來會穿著好走的鞋及適合騎單車的衣著

- Thomas (6/5): - Great location for the main sights in Shanghai, design was quirky and a bit different to the usual hotels. Walls are paper thin so we heard every noise from the rooms next door, not particularly great when they were arguing until 3am, staff tried to stop this but weren’t firm enough with them so we didn’t get much sleep. We had to move rooms initially due to bad smell in the first room we were given.

The bed was large and comfy, the shower was great and we figured out how to use the TV, easy to buy films or watch certain things for free! Rooms without a window still have a window just into the corridor (high up so not intrusive) didn’t feel closed off and room was big. 15 minutes walk to metro and restaurants and shops, and a few other bits around. Free to use washing and drying machine and staff were very kind and helpful :) thank you so much for our stay! N/A

- Camille (9/5): - Bon établissement. Les employés de l’hôtel sont vraiment super et attentifs. La chambre est grande, on ne se marche pas dessus. Les serviettes de bain étaient changées tous les jours et nous étions aussi réapprovisionné en bouteilles d’eau. L’établissement est à 15 minutes environ de la station de métro. Quelques traces sur les murs de la chambre et écritures sur le mur des toilettes.

- Nina (8/5): Hip and Quite Stay - Staff was friendly, the area was quite, room/hotel interior was very hip/modern and the breakfast was rly good! Museum close by was also worth a visit! The shower is half open, you can't rly close it, it's an open space and the light in the room was a bit dark. Fridge was quite tiny and there was no safe to lock up tech or other pricey things sadly. Also, it's about 17min walk to get to the next train station, I don't find that to be an issue, but some people might find it a bit annoying, so I am just letting people know :D

- hugo (9/5): Great value - This is a hidden gem especially for solo travellers. It's great value for money. Location is good in a quite area but still 10 minutes walk to the nearest subway. There are plenty of bicicles outside if you don't feel like walking. English of the staff is limited but they are happy to help. Breakfast only from. 8am so if you plan te head out early its a bit late.

She was so kind to offer to mail back to my hometown, and declined accept fees. Didnt hv chance to treat a drink, sincerely wish her best dreams and good karma to come in future.
- Alina (10/5): I recommend staying here! - It was excellent! I stayed for more than a week. It was clean, comfortable, pleasant with a modern aesthetic. The location is exceptional. Chique and modern neighborhood next to Shanghai MOCA and close to the metro. There was no AC in the room so that it was a bit hot and stuffy. I had to leave the room door cracked open at night in order to sleep better. This is my only problem, however. Everything else was amazing and I would stay there again.

- Milla-ya (9/5): Shanghai creative spot - I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were matching with the description. Breakfast was a value of money (every day was the same set, so I managed to take away a sandwich for a snack later), and loved brewed coffee. The bed was cozy and with the heater inside for winter. -I could not sleep the first two nights (I came to Shanghai in January) as it took time for the heater to get the space warm. Last several nights it was fine. -water in the shower as well was cold in the evening and I only managed to have warmer one in the morning -last night I could not sleep due to the noise (loud speaking conversations after 11pm, shower doors made such a loud noise when someone was inside and could not shut it properly and as well doors are heavy and people did not mind sitting it without care). If that would be paid attention to-it will improve the satisfaction of the travellers.

Personal muy atento, instalaciones a pesar de ser compartidas muy limpias, orden, sin ruido. El cuarto pues era una cápsula pero prácticamente era para dormir por lo que no era lo más cómodo pero lo valió y fue buena experiencia Todo bien!

- Stanislav (10/5): Enjoyable stay in a stylish accomodation - The URSIDE Hotel Shanghai The Bund was a great find for our stay in Shanghai. Far enough from the bustling places to have a good rest and relax and near enough to reach all the attractions we wanted, The bonus was the abtastic Biennale art exhibition literally next door whoch we visited on one of the nights and enjoyed thoroughly. The hotel is easy to find and it is so easy to call in taxis and DiDi car rides. The travel time is between 5 and 20 minutes to most locations of interest and the transport fees are very affordable. The interior is truly Instagram-ready. The staff are very helpful and breakfast is yummy! Thank you! Not sure about other rooms but our room did not have external window, but there was sufficient artificial light otherwise.
