Ciara (2/5): OK stay - Male staff member who checked us in was rude, he did not engage in conversations or greet us, only asked for our passports. He then advised our room was not ready even though we arrived after 3pm and check in was at 2pm. That was no issue for us but there was no apology or no offer of water/tea/coffee while we waited. We were just told to wait. Other than the poor check in experience everything else was fine and the housekeeping staff were all pleasant. OK place to stay for 1/2 nights

Disappointed by no hot water in bathroom (pretty fundamental!), no electricity sockets working on bed side of the room, and steam room and sauna were Out of Order - which was very frustrating as we had booked this hotel for the facilities. We arrived after midnight and we were allowed a late check-out to 1:30pm

The property itself is good, just little things show not professional management.

Jeffrey (10/5): - Second time staying here. This hotel is great. The restaurant was strange and it seemed hard to get service but there are many other dining options that you can easily walk to. There is also usually a taxi parked out front so it’s easy to get around if you don’t have a car. The hotel will also call a taxi for you if there isn’t one. The rooms are beautiful and clean. Service in the hotel is 10/10. Definitely recommend this hotel

The hotel restaurant was very strange. It was upscale and beautiful, but the service was confusing. Lots of staff but nobody would approach us. We got asked for our room number four times in five minutes and the wait staff still seemed confused. Food was decent but both orders were incorrect. Recommend checking out some of the the other restaurants along the marina instead
Ahmed (10/5): - Excellent place ! I was welcomed and checked in by Mr. Ibrahim who was very professional and welcoming. Quick and effortless check in with lots of chatting and laughter, felt so welcomed. The room was amazing, very comfortable bed , blinds that blacks out light and an out of the world view. The toilet had a well designed tub that was very comfortable and for the first time I don’t experience an issue with water temperature fluctuations in Abu Dhabi. I was able to hear the neighbours through the walls in few occasions when they were loud. Catch the sunrise with the breakfast for an amazing view. The breakfast buffet was full of options that are nice and would fit all tastes. Nothing extraordinary but overall decent collection and well rounded chefs. They had a show on the pool one evening that was very nice to watch and a lady playing the harp in the lobby some evenings. The only thing I didn’t like much was the location of my room door to the motion sensors. I had to walk in the dark until half way through the corridor for the motion sensor to light up. The staff are helpful and professional, very well trained and managed. Parking spaces are sufficient for many cars. At the hotel door they have a small bench which the delivery riders use to sit and wait for customers to pick up their orders, I found that to be so nice and humanely.. one doesn’t see that much.

Verified traveler (8/5): Great location and value - It's an excellent location wirth spacious rooms overlooking the marina with plenty of nearby cafes and places to relax and enjoy Abu Dhabi before it gets too hot. The hotel has a nice, laidback and contemporary vibe - you definitely get a lot more than what you pay for. The pool looks refreshing (I didn't use it). Another plus, is that there's a bottle shop on premises. The only knock on it is that the F&B )at least what I've tried) isn't great but that's okay because there are nicer places to eat nearby. Service is a bit slow at times but maybe because it was Ramadan. I'd definitely recommend it for tourists who want a place to relax that's not too pricey while being close to the city.

Only thing I would mention is the walls seem thin. Sound travels. You could hear the people next door talking, watching tv, having sex, etc.
Samantha (8/5): 8/10 - The hotel is a short cab ride from most of the sites. There are some good restaurants walking distance from the hotel. It has a nice pool, it is clean, the staff is friendly. Like any hotel there are always little things. Something was broke on a desk and taped up, not as nice to look at, they did some alarm testing on a Sunday morning, some of the cabanas at the pool were missing the curtains for the shade. Nothing that was going to make or break the experience. They didn’t offer any upgrades or vip services that come with hotels.com depending on your level, I had to ask and I did get a late check out which was lovely.
Waddah (4/5): - The hotel is nice, and from its location, probably had some nice beaches and pools, however, i was there for one night booked at a very high rate 2 months in advance. Listed as a VIP hotel, but I was not picky when i was given a room with no view. Teying to sleep, the room is ontop of the entrance without proper sound proofing, so the vocies of everyone who went in and out throughout the night was in the room. You would think a 5 star hotel would consider this and have the roome better sound proofed. Issues happen, but even worse, upon checkout, requested to sepak to the front desk manager. Was told he is not available, left him my number and 9 days later, he did not call. The combination of both issues are indicative of poor experience in operating 5 star hotels. I urge expedia to remove them as VIP plus.

Verified traveler (6/5): Horrible service! - The property itself was nice and quite clean but the service was absolutely terrible! We arrived at the pool and there were no staff anywhere to be found. Despite the fact that the hotel was not busy at all, the staff were not present or attentive. The restaurant was almost empty for dinner but the staff there were avoiding coming to our table to serve us. Although the property itself was nice, we will not be going back!

Sonia (10/5): Beyond the comfort zone - This hotel chain never disappoints. Booked rooms for my sister. Loved the calm and tranquility so much, she asked me to extend her stay. Mind you, my sister doesn't speak Arabic, has never traveled to this side of the world, and unfortunately circumstances made it so I was unable to be home to show her around; hence hotel. The staff was SUPER friendly and accommodating to this first time travelor. Whenever she needed anything, had a question, or needed directions, someone was there to assist.

I booked a Premium Suite which was nice in layout however the A/C and Lighting was malfunctioning all the time due to faulty sensors. Couldn't fix so moved to another suite next day but lost the pool view and found the Suite not cleaned and ready and A/C still had some issues so I think the system needs to be checked all over. Couldn't bother to move again. Should've been compensated for the high price paid.

Mark (8/5): Silencing the guests from breakfast - The breakfast was that of a premier Inn... But I think it's a middle Eastern thing. We have cockroaches joining us for breakfast this morning... Completely went off my food when we saw that. The staff took some time to get into action to get the cockroach removed. We was then asked to join for the brunch in compensation, and I said no thanks not if it's prepared in the same kitchen as breakfast They just seem to want to keep us quiet about it

Lee James (8/5): - The pool area is amazing, and the staff are all very nice and helpful. The rooms are modern and overall excellent. The area is fairly quiet and peaceful, although the marina’s cafes and shops are only a short walk away. The only negatives are the food options at night really. It’s a choice of two rather pricey buffets, which isn’t ideal, and when we went for the Mezze buffet, we were taken to a table at the back and staff never returned to offer us water etc. Alcohol is very expensive but that’s not unique to this hotel. There are good dining options by the pool in the day but you have to ask, nobody is going to tell you about it. Overall though, a very nice place and perfect if you just fancy a chilled out week in the sun, relaxing by the stunning pool.

Manuel (10/5): 5 Stars! - Very courteous staff. Very generous as well and gave us a free upgrade. Rooms were clean and spacious. Bathroom was immaculate. The breakfast had a wide selection as well.
Mohammad (8/5): - I really enjoyed my stay here. I like that it’s not located in a busy area and easy to get to the hotel. The hotel smells great and is pretty clean. I like the that they provide so many bathroom amenities! They give you everything you need. Breakfast was good. Just wish they would keep the food a little more hot. We had a deluxe suite, and I did not expect that our view would be partly the parking lot. If you want an ocean view I guess you should get a premium suite. You would have more privacy too and can leave your curtains open. The hotel was pretty clean overall but the couches and the dinning chairs were pretty dirty in our room. I wiped them down because of covid and they had stains all over which I didn’t like. I also wished that they had smart tvs so we could enjoy our shows on Netflix or something. We had two TVs but they were useless Bcz the channels offered were not good. We used my laptop instead to watch something while we had dinner in the room which is unfortunate when you have a big suite and tv. But overall I did enjoy my stay and would come here again.
Marilyn (10/5): Fabulous hotel. - Royal M Hotel was the perfect choice. A modern, clean hotel with amazing decor with a luxurious feel. The huge pool was amazing with plenty of sun loungers and cabanas. Breakfast was great with lots of options and service was great. Location was good with several nice restaurants close by. Loved the Hotel's private island which was a real bonus. Would recommend.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel is new and well maintained. We took a trip to a private island of the hotel that is not advertised, which is also very recommended,

Atif (10/5): Super 7 stars hotel - It was excellent and as name indicates it is for Royals. Super construction elegant design and state of the art equipment and fittings. This hotel is out of the world and the breakfast is 7 stars. Overall hotel should be rated as 7 and I will be booking this next time as well.

Jamie (6/5): Mixed feelings - I have mixed emotions with my stay here. First of all the hotel is stunning. All new & contemporary & the infinity pool & sun beds are epic! The staff are very friendly. One evening after enjoying a few drinks by the pool bar I went to my room to get changed for the night. There was a housekeeping staff member & an electrician in my room saying there was a problem. Which I thought was random as everything worked fine before but fair enough, it’s a new hotel, teething problems... I’m an electrician myself, these things happen. Anyway I explained I was going out and needed to change. I waited nearly an hour outside the room for them to tell me I had to change rooms. So I had to pack all of my things in darkness which wasn’t ideal. To add to the frustration they said they would upgrade the room but it was barely an upgrade. Just a sea view but smaller balcony. Anyway later that night after returning from the night out I noticed my wallet missing. I didn’t take this out with me, the last place I remembered it was the safe. It was a wedding gift from my wife & had money in which made it worse. I reported this &cancelled all cards & went through all the procedures with security, checked my old room with them etc. Upon checkout no sign of it still but I managed to catch the manager to inform him. Later that day the manger phoned to say that housekeeping had found the wallet but didn’t specify where. Very relieved to have the wallet back but downer on the stay.
