- Norbert (7/5): sehr gut wenn man dort mit dem Auto hinfährt und mit der Umgebung nicht zu tun hat - Das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht dass man sich wohl fühlt. Wir wurden auch auf die Besonderheiten der Umgebung hingewiesen und da wir ein Auto dabei hatten konnten wir es auf dem Hotelparkplatz gesichert parken Frühstück war ok Kaffee leider untrinkbar und den kostenpflichtige Espresso kann man sich auch sparen. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis war sehr gut Umgebung ist furchtbar scheint ein Drogenumschlagplatz zu sein Gegenüber dem Hotel schlafen Obdachlose im Hauseingang. Als Ausgangspunkt ist die Lage sehr gut da nahe der Innenstadt

Nice hotel but very sketchy area.

- Jan (8/5): Great service, walkable location - The staff was amazing. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants close by and options for taking metro or walking to the Acropolis. The location was good, just a 5 minute walk to the Omonia metro and a 15-20 minute walk to Monastiraki and Plaka neighborhoods. We walked to the Acropolis and its museum one day and to the National Archaeological Museum the next. The museums were not to be missed. The only issue we had at the hotel was the WiFi in our room (405) was very weak and dropped off after 10-15 minutes. The signal was strong in the hallway, so we’d have to walk out to the hall frequently to get the signal back. The manager was apologetic about the WiFi and tried to get it fixed.

- Robin (7/5): I would recommend this hotel - Central location. Quiet room. Vasia on reception. She recommended restaurants. Assisted in booking my ferry tickets. Arranged for a bag to go into storage until I returned. Polite friendly funny. So helpful. This lady deserves a pay increase. The bed was really hard.
- Sinisa (4/5): - The staff were lovely and helpful. The property was clean and the breakfast was decent. However, the family suite room had a number of mosquitos and was not soundproofed really well as you could hear every car pass in the middle of the night and people talking on the streets. The hotel was also situated in an unsafe area. Everyday we saw drug addicts shooting up, with the streets surrounding the hotel being littered with used syringes. The reception door to the hotel was kept is also kept locked all day and on one day we saw a person being carried by an ambulance (one can only assume that they had ODed). Obviously this is not the hotel's fault and one cannot fault the staff for this but one to avoid if you are traveling with a family.

Det som inte var bra med läget var att det var otroligt hög ljudnivå på gatan utanför. Bilar, motorcyklar, folk som skrek och slogs. Och att stänga fönster kunde inte stänga ute det tyvärr. Så inte mycket nattsömn.

Gluteenitonta leipää ja keksejä sain etukäteen pyydettyäni, mutta leipä kuivui viikon mittaan. Viikon majoituksen aikana siivous ei aina toiminut. Pyyhkeitä ei aina vaihdettu ja välillä vaan osa. Kerran ei siivottu ollenkaan, koska hotellista lähti ko päivänä iso ryhmä minkä takia eivät ehtineet meidän huonetta siivota. Hotellin ympäristössä paljon huumeiden käyttäjiä ja muuta epämääräistä porukkaa.

MAIS : n'acceptez pas la chambre 305 (non-exhaustif), elle donne sur un patio rempli des unités de clim, bourdonnement à rester éveillé toute la nuit assuré. De plus, et rien à voir avec l'hôtel, l'arrivée dans le quartier a de quoi surprendre ("weird" d'après le personnel). A 2 pas du métro, pratique.

- Benito (3/5): MUY MALA ZONA - la habitación esta bien, el desayuno escaso la ubicación, toda la zona esta llena de drogadictos, hemos visto pincharse a mas de uno, incluso enfrente del hotel. este hotel esta bien pero la zona es muy conflictiva, no lo aconsejo

- Romain (10/5): - On a beaucoup aimer cet hotel. Le petit point negatif c'est peut etre la clim qui ne marche pas, mais dans l'ensemble tres bien. La réception est top, toujours serviable, et réceptive à toute demande particulière. Une equipe formidable. Le petit dejeuner est complet, varié. Je recommande cet hotel, malgré le quartier d'Omonia sallement réputé. Toutefois on y trouve arret de bus et metro.
- Alessia (10/5): Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo - Molto accogliente, struttura piuttosto nuova, ben tenuta, pulita, staff molto gentile, colazione inclusa, camera molto grande e dotata di comfort, posto per moto in parcheggio privato chiuso a chiave e custodito. Anche se non in una zona centralissima, quartiere non bello ma nonostante ciò nessuno è una zona in cui nessuno ci ha dato fastidio. molto vicina al Museo Nazionale. L’unico appunto che mi sento di fare, e vorrei che passasse come critica costruttiva perché è con tale intenzione che la faccio, è che, dato che avevamo l’opzione colazione inclusa, per tutti i giorni che vi abbiamo soggiornato al mattino bevevamo sempre il caffè. Quando abbiamo lasciato la struttura ci sono stati addebitati. Consiglio, per correttezza, di segnalare in anticipo cosa non è incluso nella colazione. Non è per la spesa di 10 o 15€ ( non ricordo esattamente) che non rappresenta un problema per nessuno, semplicemente ne faccio una questione di correttezza e trasparenza.

- Michaël (7/5): - La gentillesse du personnel et la proximité avec le centre ville. La salle de bain était spacieuse. La rue de l’hôtel est squatté par des drogués à cause d’un centre de shoot juste à coté. L’hôtel n’y est pour rien malheureusement.
- Charlie (8/5): - I stayed at Tins hotel city for 3 nights in August 2025. The hotel itself was lovely, with really friendly staff and nice amenities. Almost perfect for solo travellers like myself. However, the surrounding area was quite unpleasant and actually really dangerous, especially after sunset. The hotel entrance is locked 24 hours a day which I can only assume is for safety purposes because the area really is that bad. It's such a shame but overall I can't fault the hotel and it's not their fault. I can only be honest about the area it's located.

- Iain (8/5): - The breakfast was somewhat limited, and the area around the hotel was quite concerning. There were about four or five large waste bins outside the hotel, and I noticed several people rummaging through them. The surroundings did not feel safe; fortunately, my son and I can take care of ourselves, but I wouldn't have felt comfortable with my daughter being there alone.

- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional - Tins Hotel City was a great choice for my city break in Athens. The room was modern, well-equipped, and very clean, exactly like in the photos. The bed was super comfortable, and the lighting and design gave the space a relaxing feel. The hotel is located in a lively area with lots of cafes and shops nearby, and the metro station is just a short walk away. Everything was smooth and easy. I would happily stay here again!

- Irmina (7/5): It was good - The hotel itself is good. It was safe. The entrance is controlled by the stuff. The stuff is super kind and helpful. It was clean, the Wi-Fi worked well and so did the AC. Breakfast is simple and rather repetitive, but enough for such hot weather. We received a lunch box on the day of our early checkout. The Omonia metro station is located around 6min of a walk from the hotel. The surroundings. There are many drug addicts in this area. They didn't seem to be dangerous, but still it wasn't too appealing.

Mais le petit déjeuner est à revoir : fruits pas du tout frais, les aliments sont remis plusieurs jours d'affilés et ça se voit, le café est transparent et si on veut quelque chose de plus comme du lait chaud ou autre, il faut le demander à chaque fois. Ça serait plus simple de proposer des boissons chaudes dans un thermos. Concernant l'emplacement, l'hôtel se situe dans un quartier très sale. On y trouve des prostituées entre autres. Je ne recommande pas si vous venez avec des enfants. Je ne comprends pas qu'Expedia puisse le proposer !

I left an item behind but they said they could not find it The area was a bit dirty but really Athens is really dirty. So it’s kind of the same everywhere. - Ana Loreley (8/5): - The hotel is well-maintained and clean. The staff is courteous, and they have convenient access to public transportation. The only issue is the neighborhood. It poses a significant safety risk, and the taxi companies that I used to provide transportation corroborated this assessment. Should you wish to take a taxi from the hotel to the train station during early morning or late evening hours, that is an option available to you. The hotel is a welcome oasis in the otherwise unremarkable surroundings.

This is not a nice neighborhood of Athens and the streets around the hotel are not very pleasant. I did not feel unsafe but I also didn't enjoy my way back from the restaurant...........
