Guest Reviews
- Tim (10/5): - The Service and the best location.
Closest to pyramids.
Felt safe.
- Roger (10/5): - Perfect place to view the pyramids and the sphinx and the meal was the best we had during our 2 weeks in Egypt.
The sunset and dawn photos were also our best photos of the pyramids, ideal spot to stay
- Darius (10/5): -
- Özlem (10/5): -
- Veronica (10/5): - The location is GREAT. Literally next to the Giza plateau ticket offices. They have 3 bedrooms, so the terrace is quiet.
The bedroom was comfy. They have everything you may need (they even lend me an iron).
We had breakfast and dinner there and the food was homemade and amazing.
The first day we arrived quite late from the airport and Mr Adel was there waiting for us. He made sure everything was perfect.
I would stay here if I come back to Giza and recommend it to anyone visiting Only small details!
The toilet in general could do with some updating.
We couldn't communicate okay during breakfast as the cook doesn't speak English and even with Google translate we didn't end up understanding each other, but that's little details.
Rien :)

- Roxane J (3/5): Never again, worst stay in Egypt for me - The owner want to be a good guy and the hotel is in a location giving you a close view on the Sphinx and the 2 biggest pyramids. Sadly there was too many bad points, in one month travelling in Egypt it was my worst experience in term of accommodation. First when you arrive it isn't clear where is the hotel because the same building has two (by the way people from the downstair hotel keep arriving on the roof top thinking it's the same hotel and are politely redirected by the staff). Then you start climbing the stairs to the roof top and it just smells like cat piss all the way, every day. The owner greetings are great, too much in fact, it's widely exaggerated. He proudly showed me a tent in front of my room that smell like cat piss and tells me there's new born kittens there and that he doesn't want to disturb them. (OK i though this guy is great to not disturb them... ) First night is a nightmare: my room smells so intensely like cat piss that it's really hard to breathe in there, packs of dogs are barking the entire night in the ruins surrounding the hotel and there's cats fighting everywhere as well. In the morning I say to him that I can't stay in there because of the cat piss smell and he conveniently changed my room in the evening. But he also suddenly decided to expell the 3 days old baby cat from the tent where he was born. I am a little concerned because that poor single baby is now in a box, in the stairs. Owner tells me not to worry, mama cat will come. I hope he's right but when I come back in the evening the baby is just there. He scream the entire evening, no mother on sight. I grow more and more concerned because that poor new born needs to eat every 3 hours but it's now a full day he was thrown out and the mother didn't come back... I go to bed worried.
The night in the new room doesn't go so well. No more cat piss smell and that's great but sewer smells from the dirty bathroom and the separation door doesn't close. Again cats and dogs screaming the entire night.
- Daniel (8/5): Great location, great service - Adel is amazing! He worked with us to put together an itinerary which was executed with precision. Everyone was fun, professional and showed up on time. Adel always checked in to ensure things were going well.. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. This is in no way the fault of the hotel but the area is noisy. If you're a light sleeper, Invest in some earplugs.
Nulla
- BADAR (10/5): - The facility is next to the wall of the Sphinx gate to the Giza Plateau. You can see the Sphinx and the three pyramids in front of you. The staff are very helpful and nice. They kept my luggage for the whole day, while I went to the Plateau and then to the Grand Museum.
- Amy (9/5): - Perfect location with a balcony overlooking the pyramids and sphinx. Staff were all super nice and friendly and helpful and not pushy about any tours or buying things. I highly recommend.
- Arnaud (10/5): Super !
- Brian (5/5): Terrace views and proximity to the Giza plateau - The location of the apartment is as close to the Sphinx and Pyramids as you can get, so the view from the terrace is second to none.
The ticket office for admission to the Sphinx entrance gate couldn't be closer or more convenient.
Adel and his staff were very friendly and helpful. Traditional local-style breakfast was served. The rooms in the apartment are rather tired and a little shabby. It didn't impact our stay in that we were only there two nights, and it did make our stay feel authentic.

- Tereza (10/5): Adel made our stay in Giza unforgettable - Adel made our stay in Giza unforgettable, especially with his exceptional care. He greeted us earlier than the regular check-in time, organized our last-minute day trip, and offered dinner service for our convenience. On the day of departure, we left shortly after midnight, and Adel made sure that we safely found our Uber. The room and all facilities were clean and comfortable, and the view was, of course, unbeatable. Thank you!
- Mei San (10/5): -
- Mei San (10/5): Nearest hotel to the Sphinx - The owner of this hotel is a very kind and friendly man. He always give helpful tips and never been pushy on his tours. He is one of the people that makes you have faith in Egyptian again after having bad experiences with others.
Location of the hotel is right opposite the sphinx ticket booth, very convenient and you have a front row view of the Sphinx and pyramids right at the balcony. The breakfast can be improved. Room is a bit too dim for my liking.
- Nhật Bản (8/5): -
God egyptisk frukost. Välsmakande middag. Rymligt rum, enkelt inrett. Ok, vi är i Egypten. Det är dammigt men ändå acceptabel städning.
- Ahmet Hakan (8/5): - çalışanlar mükemmeldi, bilet ofisinin direk karşısıydı. Manzara harika kahvaltı güzel oda biraz soğuktu ama mısırın en soğuk zamanında ziyaret ettim
2 дня не работал wifi( админ подключил к своему телефону)
- Igors Krauksts (10/5): -
- FAROOQ (10/5): Good - The hosts
- Ayşegül (1/5): - Otel sfenksin tam karsinda muhtesem bir manzara. Sahibi her konuda yardimci oldu ve bilgilendirdi. Ancak cok eski ve temiz degil. Dus almak istemedik.
- Louis (10/5): - Great host and location
- ERIC (9/5): -
- peter (9/5): - The view!!!
- hossam (10/5): Best hospitality you will ever experience - Everything amazing host exceptional hospitality unmatched from any other place I have been Nothing all was amazing
- Kathrin (10/5): - Adel is an extraordinary host who not only provided us with an incredible room and the best views on the pyramids in Gizah but also helped us organize the rest of our trip to different cities and the desert with patience and knowledge. We are very happy to have met him and stayed in his beautiful hotel!
- Samara (10/5): The location is perfect for views of the pyramids and the Sphinx. The staff is helpful and very attentive. Adel is a ver - Location, the pyramids view, staff Nothing
- Stéphane (10/5): - Unbelievable View. Devoted personal and manager (Adel). Very good breakfast and dinner. I didn't like to leave this place.
- Emilie (9/5): Exceptionnel !!!
- Dilek (7/5): It did not meet my expectations in terms of scenery. - We chose it because we would be on tour all day and would only use it for sleeping. We liked the variety of breakfast and the teas were nice. We chose it for its terrace and proximity to the pyramids, but we could not find the view we dreamed of. The hotel is at the very end but low
- Theodore (9/5): Might be THE best view on planet earth! AMAZING! And fabulous owner/staff. - Unbelievable view! THE closest property to the Sphinx and pyramids possible. Just stunning to sit on the terrace. WOW! Huge breakfast included. Literally 100 meters from the Sphinx entrance. Plus the owner, Adel, is truly wonderful. Honest, fair, helpful; no games or bs. He's a great resource in Giza/Cairo and all of Egypt. So nice to have someone trustworthy - when scammers are always lurking. Thank you, Adel! Not a luxury property - but plenty comfortable. A good value. And again -- the view! OMG! My wife cried every day. Unforgettable!
- Lynne (10/5): Wonderful - Adel, the owner of the Inn, is the perfect host. He told us he could arrange anything and he did. Our plans changed at the last minute due to our flight being delayed, and Adel was able to arrange to all the details at the last minute. We have special dietary needs and requested a specific authentic egyptian dinner and Adel delivered. It was the best meal we had in Egypt. The location of the Inn at the Spinx entrance is superb as is the view from the terrace.Thank you Adel for a wonderful stay! No dislikes
- Maria (9/5): Friendly host and awesome location! -
- Bariş (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kazi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joshua (10/5): I will visit again. - Adel is super friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was great! I loved everything!
- Jose (9/5): Loved the view from the hotel. - Location Not all staff speaks or understand English
- Joshua (10/5): Best place to stay in Egypt! - Nice clean rooms with great view of the pyramids. Breakfast was great. The owner is super friendly and great at setting up tours. I will definitely come back! Thanks. Everything was perfect.
- Stephen (10/5): Five star treatment for a three star price. - I stayed in the room with the view of the Sphinx and pyramids in January. The bed was Very comfortable. There was even an oil heater in my bedroom if I had needed it. Everything worked in the bathroom. What I liked most was the hospitality of Mr. Adell, the long time proprieter of the Inn. His hospitality is intentional and genuine. He really went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed to experience a satisfying stay. This is true for all his guests from my observations. I was expecting breakfast because it was included, but not dinner, which came every evening right out of the kitchen for his guests at no additional charge. This is just one of many instances I could mention. The only thing that I didn't like was that the illumination from the light fixtures in the bedroom and the bathroom was inadequate, at least for me it was. Although there was enough functional light, I would not have been able to open a paper or a book and read the pages very easily in the room.
- Barbara (8/5): Very good - The view! It was amazing and well worth booking this stay. Localization very near all kinds of shops, restaurants, etc.
Eating breakfast every day on a terasse with the view of the Sphinx and the Pyramids was breathtaking.
The owner is very friendly, acommodating, and easygoing. He speaks English very, very well. The wall are thin and there is no privacy at all. You can hear all that is said in the kitchen.
It is impossible to get water to flow right at an acceptable temperature to take a shower. It either cold or burning and usually trickles due to low and variable water pressure.
- Krutika (10/5): Feels like home - Fantastic view of the pyramids, you can see the light show from the terrace. The owner Adel made the place extra special he treated us like a family, he offered us some tasty local food and helped to make our trip smooth. It was a shame we couldn't stay longer.
- Yee (10/5): Exceptional - Adel, the owner speaks perfect English and couldn't be more friendly and helpful with everything that we need! Thanks for the wonderful stay!
- Rafal (10/5): Exceptional - The best location, there is nothing closer, first row for pyramids and sphinx. The host couldn't be more friendly and welcoming. He will organise your whole stay if you ask including trips and drivers . Highly recommend.
- Martha (8/5): The location is great and the owner is very helpful and friendly will stay again there highly recommend - Location the owner is helpful Location
- David (9/5): A home from home right in front of the pyramids - Adel was the perfect host! He gave us an authentic experience we would not have had at a five star hotel. Room ceiling needs some maintenance but it didn’t detract from our enjoyable stay.
- Jeremiah (10/5): Great view. Great host. Highly recommended. - View of the Pyramids and Sphinx are unparalleled, but the best part was the host. He helped with everything I needed. (Have him help you with tours, transportation, meals, and whatever else you want. It will save you money.) Facilities are not new, but clean and comfortable. It is definitely not a hotel. If you are looking for a place where you are treated like a guest in someone's home, this is it. The shower in the bathroom was small and had low water pressure. You have to know where you are going as it is a little hard to find, but the host will arrange transportation straight to the door cheaper than you can find on your own.
- Stephen (10/5): Hidden gem - Location was fantastic. View incredible (Pyramids and Sphinx) . Owner (Adel) was the nicest chap you could meet who would do anything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Bottled water available (free). Breakfast varied each day (example bread, jam, battered chips, omelette, falafel, sour cream, fruit tea and bottled water). Seating areas indoor and outdoor if you want to chill and take in the views. Staff were great and available most of the day if you had any problems. A hidden gem is the best way to describe this hotel. If I'm ever in Cairo again I would stay here for sure. Not much toilet paper but we had some of our own so no big deal.
- Isabella (8/5): Very good - Adel is a lovely host. Always available to help with everything
Good portion breakfast
Location is just amazing in front of the Sphinx The room need a refreshment.
- Beingbim (10/5): A home in Giza - I enjoyed my stay at the Pyramids Overlook Inn. I had a delay and arrived late at night but Adel the owner kindly waited for me. I was received like a guest in someone's home.
My bedroom was very clean and faced the pyramids, a treat for my first night in Eygpt. Breakfast was delicious! Suzu cooked up a spread for me.
The ticket office is right outside and Adel gave me advice on how to navigate the complex.
The bed was large and comfortable and the shower pressure was great as long as the tap was off in the kitchen! That I only had one night there!
- Traveloneworld (9/5): Superb - Location, literally sleeping next to pyramid. The owner and staff amazing hospitality and so helpful. We arrived really late after 2am and following morning, overslept by missing alarms and Mr. Adel and Zizi were so nice and understanding even though we passed the check out time. It made our first ever pyramid visit a special one, thank you Brother Adel and all staff. Bedsheets and bathroom door lock could be better.
- Jose (10/5): Exceptional - Can’t tell how I loved the place
Location
Host
Size of the room
Shower
Yes it is simple B&B but the view and how welcome and how much the host try to make u welcome pays everything Nothing to complain about
- Marcoazs (10/5): Unbeatable view - This is probably the best view from the sphinx and pyramids you can get, the light show happens in front of you. Staff is great and kind, the breakfast and dinner were delicious (I am vegetarian). My room was spacious, bathroom wasn't inside it but very close so nothing to bother. That view to the pyramids everyday I was there will remain in my memory forever. This is really a small issue, but a shower curtain would do wonders inside the toilet, also there could be more vegetarian options, if there were I do probably even have lunch there, but the food was excellent nonetheless.
- Emilia (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location and very welcoming staff. A great place to stay in Giza, cosy and clean rooms with an incredible view.
- Chris (8/5): Great short stay in Giza in perfect location. - Most friendly and welcoming owner. Adel you are top man in Giza. Very helpful. Organised our driver for Memphis and Saccara and our camel and horse for pyramids. It's the last house before pyramids so view from the balcony is amazing. Depends of your expactations - 60usd for 2 nights for 2- wonder how much would be 5star hotel in this location. Adel was waiting for us till we arrived from airport at midnight.A little breakfast in the morning with coffee is a plus, nice lady served it. Even hours after chceck out they let us in to refresh before flight. Very much recomended for short stay.
- Ilyas (10/5): Exceptional - The location and the owner making this place so wonderful. I am already missing the unique vibe of this place.
- Alexvarela (8/5): good value for money if you want to be in front of pyramids - great views from terrace and very nice personnel.
have breakfast in front of the pyramids is stunning.
communication with the owner is good and the help he provides invaluable.
- Taras (10/5): Exceptional -
- Terence (10/5): Wonderful - Superb friendly service. Unbelievable location. Nothing
- Zheling (10/5): very good - The staff and the boss are very nice and pay great attention to the safety needs of their customers. The hotel is very close to the Sphinx. One day, we returned to the hotel quite late, and the young lady at the front desk was still waiting for us to return and open the door for us. She was very responsible. The rooms are also very clean, and breakfast is provided. You can even dine with a view of the pyramids. It felt like a home in Egypt. I wish the boss and his staff all the best. thanks for your help, Greetings from China no
- Mike (9/5): Superb - Could not be closer to the pyramids, just 2 minutes from the entrance to the sphinx side of the pyramids. For the budget it did as expected The shower didn't work which was an inconvenience.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucio (8/5): Thank you, Adel - I chose this place after a careful evaluation of its position and actually the balcony of the guesthouse is the one with the best view of the Sphinx and the Pyramids, it feels like you can touch them with your hand (for how close they are)
Naturally, being a guesthouse (with an irrisory price) I couldn't expect luxury and comfort, in fact the structure is quite simple
Adel is the owner and I must say a special person who makes you feel at home (maybe a bit attentive to the financial aspect but it should be so).
However, his presence revealed to be an added value to my stay in Giza, I appreciated his kindness, availability and patience.
The staff was also very kind.
In summary, the positive aspects were
1) staff
2) quality/price ratio
3) location
4) owner We spent 5 nights in the place, so probably cleaning the room at least once should have been opportune but this is not a big deal even because we did not ask
The water pressure of the shower tub
I took 2 excursions with Adel and despite they were quite good, I would not take them back again, as the quality of service has not been up to the situation
- Davide (8/5): Very good -
- Chandramohan (8/5): Amazing close view of the pyramids - Perfect location. The view from the balcony is amazing. The three largest pyramids and the Sphinx could be seen without any distractions. The closest hotel to the Sphinx. The owner was friendly and helpful throughout. Our bathroom (triple room) is separate and can be seen by the kitchen when we walk inside the bathroom (it's only for us though). Room is small. Outside of the hotel doesn't have a proper name board and doesn't look nice (the inside is clean and tidy)
- Chandra (10/5): Exceptional - Location and view cannot be beat! Like you are staying in the shadow of the pyramid. Host and staff were so helpful and the food was fantastic! Water pressure in the shower was a little low but it was fine.
- Sergio (8/5): Great view and close everything - The view, amazing
- Sza54 (9/5): Perfect place, kind owner - The view from the terrace is amazing from morning to night. You almost can touch the face of the Sphinx. Breakfast on the terrace was enough variety. We had a 3 bed room with private shower. Everything is simple, it is not a Hotel, but a homestay where you can communicate with local people, see their life. You could prepare a delicious dinner too. You are inside. AC, wifi and fridge in the room was excellent.
Pyramids Light Show is FREE from the terrace. Security is also perfect.
The best is the owner Adel and his family. Kind, smiling. If you wish something, they do it. He organized a car with driver Hisham (very kind guy, good English) with raisonable price to a trip Saqqara-Memphis-Dahsur and a day tour to Alexandria.
I recommend, recommend, recommend. Shower curtain
- Jorunn (9/5): If you look for a cosy stay with a stunning view and don’t care to much for luxury, this is the one! - Really very warmhearted staff and owner, also very helpful.
The greatest view to the pyramids possible!
If you look for a cosy authentic stay around the pyramids and don’t care too much for luxury this is the one.
- Richard (9/5): Superb - Couldn't be any closer to the pyramids - a wonderful complement to a night in downtown Cairo Lovely to see the pyramids, but also great to escape the area afterwards
(1/5): Dirty, Poor a room - Location.piramid view of rooftop. Breakfast is traditional food. Badbugs in the bed.
Nothing amenities inside a toilet even toilet tissue. What happend !!!!!!.
In a room, there was only one towel. No clean, very dirty traditional Egypt style dirty room. But $43 for one night price. There are so many cheaper hotels (with piramid view)than this one around there.
- Bruno (10/5): Exceptional - The place is at the front of the pyramids and it has an amazing view, the owner and staff are very kind and polite. Everything was good
- Sebastiano (10/5): A breathtaking view - The view was out of this world. I saw the pictures before booking but once there you are totally blown away. Words cannot explain. The owner, Mr Rady, is an exquisite person. He’s extremely gentle and kind, just like the three women working there. They even made me have a wonderful cake on the table because they knew it was my birthday. A little thing that turned that night an unforgettable experience. The room was very clean but basic. I didn’t expect that much for the price, but honestly the bathroom had a couple of problems. But still, you pay for the view and the kindness of the incredible staff.
- Esther (10/5): Exceptional - We were well received by our amazingly service-oriented host Adele. It's the closest place to stay with the best view to the Sphinx and pyramids. It was great to be able to have dinner at the rooftop and watch the sound and light show that night! Great host and great place to stay for great views! It's all good.
