• Rebecca (10/5): Comfortable and convenient suburban apartment - Clean and spacious apartment with a comfortable bed and a large terrace. We chose this apartment for its location in the suburbs as it was easy to drive to and park at, but also close to the Metro and the airport. We traveled to the centre within 20 minutes on the Metro, and it was just a 20 minute drive to the airport which is also at the end of the local Metro line. There’s a large AB supermarket opposite the metro station which had everything we could possibly need. Perfect for our needs and with a very friendly and helpful host. We won’t hesitate to use this accommodation in future.

• Otilia (10/5): Very good value for money - The house is large, it was great for a family of 3. The kitchen is well equipped, it has a lot of space, although we did not needed for our short stay. Although there are not many things to do in the area, the metro station is very close, and you can reach very easily the city center or other parts of Athens. The area is quiet and safe. A very good point is the private parking spot, which was important for us. It was very easy to pick up the keys, we received excellent instructions.

Die Gartenwohnung war sehr nett eingerichtet und lag in einer ruhigen Gegend, und trotzdem fußläufig zur Metro. Sowohl die Innenstadt als auch der Flughafen sind öffentlich gut erreichbar. Der Vermieter hat für uns auf Anfrage einen Transfer zum Flughafen organisiert, der gut funktioniert hat.

The photos on the advert are of 2 different apartments - the one we stayed in had the green curtains and orange bedspread - I hadn't realised the booking.com listing had two different properties shown.

• Yana (10/5): - This property is in a lovely quiet area in the city. We have Loft 2, with the stunning terrace which we put to good use along with the BBQ. The highlight of the stay was without a doubt the incredible hosts. My partner had an operation while in Athens and the hosts kindly transported us to the hospital and back twice during the taxi strikes in the city. They also provided excellent authentic Greek food recommendations where locals went, and assisted in auto hire. Hosts this kind are hard to come by and one in a million, we are so thankful we stayed with them during this time which was vulnerable for my partner after surgery. There is nothing bad about this place. You get everything you need and more, thank you to the whole family and specifically to Sprios for the help getting to the hospital. All the best.

• Dirk Hamburg (9/5): Safe, quiet, good value for money. - The garden of the "Garden" apartment is a strong plus in the hot summer period. The location is comparatively far from the center of Athens (a 30 minutes ride by Metro), but it is close to the Metro station (5 minutes walk) and a large convenience store where you can get nearly anything is also close (5 minutes walk). The kitchen equipment is adequate but could have been better (I could have used a knife for cutting fruit, for example). A larger towel would have been nice, as well (perhaps I could have asked for it but I didn't).

Czysto, komfortowo, bezpieczna i spokojna okolica. Blisko duży market AB. Mieszkanie na górze ma duży taras, są dwie klimatyzacje, wyposażona kuchnia. Zameldowanie bezkontaktowe, klucze w skrytce. Wszystko mi się podobało.

Reserveeritav parkimiskoht (tasuline- meie maksime 7euri öö) ja elektriauto laadimise võimalus. 11kw pistik mille kasutamise eest maksime 10eur. Tore vastuvõtja kes vastas meie kõikidele küsimustele. Toas ootasid meie nii tee, kohv, mahlad ja puuviljavalik. Personaalselt ei sümpatiseeri vannikardinad. Kahjuks dušš lekkis ka igalt poolt.

• Masuzawa (5/5): I find this property quite expensive for what it is compared to a few properties I stayed at in Athens. - The property has a parking space. The unit we stayed was quite different from the picture and not as nice at all. The loft space has a staircase without rail on one side and not so safe for toddlers.

The host went out of her way to provide water and juice in the fridge and tea and coffee on the countertop. There were also disposable slippers if needed. Nothing...it was a very nice apartment and I would stay there again.

• Dane (4/5): Friendly hosts but subpar apartment - -We wanted something located close to the climbing gym Mono, which this was. -The host was very friendly and his son greeted us very nicely and provided all the instructions. -Dedicated parking -Pin-based entry was convenient -The bathroom has no venting except for out to the hallway, this means moisture from a shower or smells linger -The apartment has clearly housed a smoker for many years and despite efforts to remove that smell, it still lingers strongly -The place is not well-lit, resulting in the place being quite dark
• Kenneth (10/5): Great location - The location is excellent, 5 minutes from the metro, bus and a good size supermarket (AB). Metro line serves the airport and city centre, airport express bus stops at the bus stop. Free parking was a bonus, we could park and unload before returning our hire car. Quiet neighborhood, apartment a good size, clean and well equipped. Large bed is comfortable, we didn't try the air conditioner as the room never got too warm. Big fridge/freezer. Direct access to the garden which has citrus trees. Host responded quickly to requests, and was there to greet us on arrival. The bed is on a sleeping platform, plenty of headroom cupboard space, and floorspace but up 10 stairs. The listing reads 'entire unit on ground floor', the stairs could be a problem for someone with limited mobility.

It is not near the centre but we chose this neighborhood because it is near the bus station to Lavrio. Would have stayed longer if we didn't have to leave Athens.

The space is very well organized, with a huge terrace and parking. The apartment is well-equipped and the contact with the hosts and their willingness to help are at the highest level. Thank you!
• Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional lodging, location, and hosts! - Valahouse was perfect, and the hosts were wonderful! Natalia and Evangelos were very warm, welcoming, attentive, and responsive. They went above and beyond to answer our questions. They also left homemade cookies for us that were delicious and a sweet surprise! The accommodations were perfect for us! Uber rides were easy to and from here to Athens and affordable. Super convenient to our son who was studying at Deree (American College of Greece). We liked everything!

• Khajak (10/5): Fantastic comfortable apartment - Great quiet apartment with fantastic amenities 3 mins from the metro (direct line to the airport and centre). The bed was very comfortable, kitchen fully stocked with amenities and thoughtful treats. The neighbourhood is really nice and quiet. Perfect! I would definitely stay here again. Nothing to complain about. Everything was perfect!

• Emilia (10/5): Exceptional - spacious apartment with a huge terrace in a very quiet area and very close to the metro - line 3 (connects the airport to the port via the city center) we will definitely come back
• Babcock (10/5): Recommended for your Athens stay - Forgot to book room after ferry crossing and thank goodness Valahouse was available. Great reviews are warranted. Right near metro line to get to airport. Private aparment with garden. Fridge was stocked with basics (thanks!) Supermarket right at station so we could get staples. Very comfortable bed, cold air conditioning, hot shower, washing machine... everything we needed. While we stayed elsewhere for our first few days, we wish we had just booked Valahouse instead of down in the noisy/tourist area. Lessons learned. Steep staircase up to the loft so you have to be careful at night.
