Guest Reviews
- Mae (7/5): Good location but stairs difficult with suitcase. - Location Stair

- Mario (8/5): Great Location. Don’t do it if you are carrying lots of luggage and/or hate shared bathrooms. - The location is excellent. The space is clean. There was a small fridge and coffee, tea and a kettle in the room. Shared bathrooms. The highly reviews spiral staircase that you have to use after hours when the front bar entrance is closed. The stairs are fine until you have a large 50 pound suitcase to take down them.
- Alistair (8/5): Exactly what we need for a few nights stay in London. 4th or 5th stay now - see you again next year! - I stay here every year in May for the Desertfest festival in Camden. It's in a great location, the staff are friendly, it's affordable and gives us everything we need for a few nights stay. The bar downstairs is really nice, haven't eaten there but the food looks good. Great selection of beers, and a little cheaper than the bars 5 mins along the road in Camden. It's a budget hotel, but having stayed at a lot of budget hotels on my travels, it's definitely at the upper end of the scale. Rooms have a fridge and a TV (neither are top of the range, but they work, so can't complain), There's teas, coffees, a kettle and some Biscoff biscuits which I take home for my 9 year old who absolutely adores them!! Check in is simple, and if you're early you can leave your bags until later. Check out is just a case of putting your keys through the letterbox if you're leaving before the pub downstairs opens. This is my 5th (I think) stay here, and I'll likely book it again for next years trip. Nothing really. Came home late on the Saturday night to a blocked toilet (shared between 3 or 4 rooms) but it was no fault of the landlord, clearly happened after the cleaners were done, and the bar downstairs was already closed and staff gone home, so not worth calling and getting someone to come all the way out as there was another downstairs.
Slechte bedden, gedeelde badkamer…
- Lapucci (8/5): - La piscina e l'albergo La spa
- lisa (1/5): - The only toilet for the bedrooms was blocked all night could not use it so no toilet facilities all night in human All off it
- Eamonn (3/5): Wont be back - Location, very close to Euston Station Area is very dodgy, especially at night. My heart was in my mouth, trying to get my daughter into the premises, very hard to see the numbers on the key code locks, in the dark. A lot of homeless people outside it and beside it, roaring and shouting outta them. Room was much too warm, wasn't even that warm outside, but room was like a furnace, no aircon, no fans even. Shared bathroom was like Piccadilly Circus, will not be back, ever. Noise all night.

- Doortje (9/5): Prijs-kwaliteit verhouding in orde! Kamer was prima. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding in orde.
- Ayse (8/5): - Very nice staff at the pub. The location is perfect. Noise - but was to be expected and okay for one night
- Stephen (8/5): -
- Merthe (8/5): - Vlakbij station Euston, keuken, douche, schoon, thee, koffie, olie, enige kruiden aanwezig. Erg oud gebouw.
- Erin (8/5): - Bathroom and bedroom were clean and tidy. Property felt secure and staff were kind and helpful. Pub downstairs is lovely with a chill community vibe. My room was directly over the main room in the pub, and the window was over the street and the front / seating area of the pub, so it was a bit loud with the window open (it was a warm evening). However, with the window closed and ear plugs from the local drugstore, it was absolutely fine :)
- Neil (8/5): perfect - its perfect for what you need it for can't think of anything
- Anda (7/5): -
- Victoria (8/5): - Clean, comfortable, well located, friendly staff, & lovely food - very good value for money Stair access only - difficult to get a heavy case up the stairs to your room, and if you're leaving bwfore the main doors open, the exit is a metal, spiral staircase - also very difficult with a heavy suitcase!
- Lynne (5/5): Was convenient location but is old but it was clean. Room access difficult. - Convenient location for us for early morning Eurostar and the pub was nice and had good food. The access to the upstairs rooms was very narrow and hard to navigate with suitcases. Rooms very basic though they were clean and the shower room was passable. Very noisy with other guests entering/exiting in night. Is an old property and this is reflected in the facilities.
- Barbara (8/5): -
- Tabitha (5/5): - The location is great for professionals staying in London for a few days - short walk from Euston station. It's more affordable than hotels in the area. The mattress was incredibly uncomfortable.
- FeralPunk (8/5): A hidden gem, friendly, cute, clean, and great value! - The friendly staff, the surprisingly spacious, clean, and contemporary room. It locks with a key turn from the inside which feels safe. A mini fridge, clothing rail, TV, comfy chair, socket by bed, and comfy sleep. Very cute room too. The ivy-covered spiral staircase. The easy to use coded doors. Easy check-in with staff and easy independent check-out. The beautiful rainbow created from sunrays through the window film in the bathroom. I'd certainly stay here again. Great for Camden on foot, bus, or tube. Bathroom was a little hard to use as my legs were pressed against side of bath when using loo. Noise in night but it was unavoidable as it's next to Euston station and a busy road with folks drinking. I was a bit scared about fumbling with two coded doors in the dark but they worked just fine. I practiced before I left so I'd be confident on my late-night return. You need a torch/mobile torch for the spiral staircase and code panels but that was fine in the end as I planned ahead. Just a practicality. Place was great.
- Alicja (10/5): - It was my second stay in here. Great locations, rooms at the second floor are quite, beds are comfortable. Shared bathroom was clean. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommend for a short stay
- Tim (8/5): - Location right near the station . Shower did not have much water pressure.
- Issitt (7/5): -
- Tommy (7/5): - De locatie Vreselijke bedden
- lorraine (6/5): You get what you pay for -
- 82ef6743991f71716306c7ee2796e9f9 (7/5): - The staff were lovely ..was rooms on top of pub...fair value for money ...good location..near Euston tube station...good food Outside entrance in beer garden up a spiral staircase

- 7db143d6349c72cd5ae0ed8330c32943 (9/5): Was very surprised with the accommodations felt really cosy.I would definitely book again and stay t - Felt really cosy like her home and the communal bathroom was next door to my room. So that was a bonus.

- 33fd084e036a73cc62417aca17cdaa93 (10/5): Fantastic room above a pub, great location - Friendly staff, lovely and clean room The beds were comfy and the location is perfect for getting the tube (just 5 mins walk) AND the shared bathroom had a bath, which is so nice to see these days. It wasn't an issue for us, but others might find the many flights of stairs a problem

- Jeroen (10/5): -
- Brittany (9/5): Good hotel - Clean and nice staff and near to the train The keypad thingy but that's only because I'm part blind and can't see the number buttons in the dark
Or the weird swirly stairs lol
Can hear the tube every 2 minutes
- Courtney (10/5): Very nice would recommend to anyone - It was very clean and cheap for what you got N/a
- Patricia (3/5): Not as promised. - The location was great for me. Right next to the train station and easily accessible to other key points in town. It wasn't really a hotel but more like a hostel. Bathrooms were far from bedrooms. Pillows were hard and uncomfortable. They provide a towel but no washcloth. My soap, which I brought to use, was taken. There was no one on staff to talk with. the bar staff said they weren't responsible for the hotel. I was told to call a Swiss number for any issues. While I realize a 65 year old woman may not be the target at a price of $100 per night you're too high for your target.
- Jake (4/5): Great location, lovely pub downstairs but the rooms need addressing - Location Room was tired , noisy and bed was super uncomfortable and smelt. Also you can’t check out till 11. Even if you want to leave early. There is no where to leave the key. So you can’t check out early and explore the city as it is advertised
- Yuliia (8/5): -
- Robert (7/5): One of the best value for money places in central London - Great place right in the heart of London. The room is not the biggest but for the price you can't complain.the staff is very helpful
- taffy (6/5): - very central location for London & sound rounding area very think ok
- Sean (7/5): - Location
- Kristyn (7/5): - Clean, close to Euston Station. The external, spiral access stairs. Noise and light from street into room.
- Jack (7/5): -
- Debbie (8/5): Good value and fine for an overnight. - Good value for money Noisy… but obviously expected that as a Pub next to a train station - so not a complaint.
- Mark (10/5): - Right next to Euston station. Considering the price, I couldn't ask for more. Clean room, comfy bed and owner was really informative. Will definitely book again. No complaints for the price we paid
- Christophe (8/5): nice and affordable - look autentique nothing realy
- Prince Frederick (10/5): -
- Jared (10/5): Highly recommended for location, price and staff. - Located next to Euston station so access to tube super easy. Close by to many shops, restaurants and pubs including the pub itself the Prince Arthur which was lovely and great staff and service.
- Aboubakr (10/5): -
- Lucie (10/5): the right London apmosphere - Great location. To be honest, London accomodation is something else... the hotel equipment is bit old, but it makes the right atmosphere. The staff is lovely, communication with the hotel without any problem, you can request self check in and check out.
- kevin (8/5): -
- Aaron (8/5): Good spot for a night - It was just what we needed for a night and in a good location. Staff were very friendly. We did known it would be a shared bathroom but was still bit of a nuisance other than that though all was good.
- Roger (1/5): -
- Lester (8/5): Excellent value for money - Great location close to the railway stations. Plenty of planes to eat and drink with a nice bar downstairs that serves beer and food. Great value for money. On checking out the stairs are a little difficult to negotiate especially with luggage, just take your time and don't try to carry too much at once.
- Jones (9/5): London overnight stay - Location N/A
- Steven (7/5): It was ideal for a quick stay over near to all attractions. - Nice bar area with good choices of drinks. Cosy atmosphere. Shared bathroom rather than en-suite facilities. Bedroom was spacious and well equipped though.
- Trudie (9/5): Great for an over night stay - super convenient location 👍 - This pub is perfectly located for both Euston and Kings Cross stations. The room was spacious for a single, and had a comfy bed and chair. The shared bathroom was a bit away down two corridors, so popping out to see if the shower/toilet was free meant going back and forward a few times, which wasn’t the end of the world but worth noting. A small sink in the room would be an excellent addition! The room I was in had windows at the front which overlooked Euston station- so you could hear the trains and announcements but it quietened down past 11pm. 👍 I was asked for ID on arrival, which hadn’t been communicated anywhere in any messages, so I didn’t have on one me. It worked out ok in the end as I found something on my phone with my name on, but worth knowing in future - ensure you have a physical ID to make checking in a little smoother 👍
- Elizabeth (5/5): Room is ideal for train connections - but with an external spiral fire escape for access! - The room above the pub was ideally located for my later arrival at Euston with an early morning Eurostar connection a few hours later from St Pancras - both within easy walking distance as I was on a tight budget with limited time. The room itself was a good size, a comfy bed and the added bonus of a kettle to make tea and coffee with a shared bathroom was just down the hallway and was clean and lots of hot water. Despite being a Saturday night, it was relatively quiet and I was not disturbed by the pub itself underneath. Despite the photos showing a staircase to access the rooms (mine was on the first floor and there was a further internal staircase to rooms on the second floor), the owners deliberately did not include an image or details of the exterior spiral fire escape stairs which the pub staff told me all guests are expected to use both on arrival (despite the pub still being open with the staircase beside the bar) and on departure not just the times the pub is closed ie until mid morning and evenings, with all day on Sundays, my departure day). This is very misleading and should be corrected immediately with images included, as showing types of access is essential to allow potential guests to then make an informed decision!
I am not elderly but I have a genuine fear of heights after a major accident, vision issues and with a large suitcase (+ two smaller bags), so I am very careful in choosing my accommodation for ground or first floor ie within what I can manage by myself including checking on Google maps etc, as do not want to cause a fuss. The staff on duty that night offered me a refund so I could find alternative accommodation, but at that point in time it was too late and a quick check showed nothing within walking distance so I had no choice but to stay. After asking, the staff allowed me to use the internal stairs to go up to the room, but in the morning as the pub was shut all day I faced having to get down the fire escape sitting down dragging my bags behind me in mid January - hoping it was not pouring with rain or icy, as metal steps get slippery. Luckily two other young male guests were leaving at the same time and so one took the larger suitcase and the other my larger of two bags, so I just had to go down with one small bag following closely behind them - but even they commented on how difficult it was for them in the dark without luggage. (Image attached was taken on arrival when pub was open and exterior lights on, so much darker when I left).
- Lydia (7/5): Lovely vibes - The location is amazing, the beds were super comfortable. We didn’t get clean cups throughout our stay or clean towels. If you don’t want to go into the room throughout our stay maybe there should be something about leaving towels and cups outside the room and clean ones will be left in a basket in front of the door or something. There is a solution.
Also on Sunday we ran out of toilet paper, I had to go downstairs and check the other bathroom if there was enough there to bring some back, luckily there was.
- Christopher (8/5): -
- jon (7/5): Basic but adequate - Clean enough Basic
- Aurelia (8/5): Perfect location. Was on a training course and it was so close. - Shared bathroom which i hadnt remembered til i got there, but it was actually fine!
Comfy bed
Fantastic location
Stayed in the room with a little kitchen which was SUPER useful. Kitchen was a bit grubby, i went out, got some kitchen cleaner and gave it a going over! The rest of the room was clean though.

- Mark (10/5): Spot on location and staff were marvellous -
- Josh (9/5): Ideal pub and accommodation on a budget. - Nice pub for a drink. Great location near all public transport. Particularly Euston station. Room was cheap, cheerful and tidy. With tea, coffee provided and a TV. No complaints.

- Hazel (10/5): Comfortable - Location None fair for what we paid for
- Daniel (7/5): - Great location, very helpful staff, easy check in and check out. Would use again..Recommended. Booking.com are a nightmare. No customer complaints procedure in place. Nothing to do with this hotel but I complained about another hotel and no one has responded.
- Heather (8/5): - The reasonable price, the availability of hot meals, the ease of checking in and access out of hours, the location. The atmosphere was nice and there was an open mike night on I think. The food was overpriced

- Mustafa Sharif (3/5): -
- John (3/5): - The pub at the bottom of the building was OK The room was very tired, no bathroom and was cold
- Olsen (1/5): Worst stay i have had ever. Absolutely terrible! - Nothing Everything. This is the worst hotel I have ever been to. Just terrible!
- Agnes (7/5): -
- Shawn (6/5): Cheap, conveniently located hotel with a traditional pub. - Location is good, close to attractions. The pub is great! Cost was good compared to surrounding options and staff were responsive over email, noting I would not be able to check in early (I had accidentally requested during booking). The shared bathroom was nice, like what you'd find in a house with locking door, with ~5 rooms sharing on my floor. Staff were friendly, but I had hoped to drop my bag off earlier in the day (well before checkin, staff said I'd be able to), and the door was locked and no answer on the phone; staff are not there 24/7 and there is a side door with code. My room smelled of cigarette smoke, bed was OK, pillow not so much, could not get the (small) TV to work properly. Wifi was good but occasionally dropped connectivity and came back up a minute or so later.
- Sasha (10/5): -
