Breakfast was excellent with loads of choices for all needs. Pool area was lovely and gardens well attended. Very handy to train station. can't think of anything.
- yangbness (8/5): Can't beat the location if you're trying to go to Ocean Park! - Stayed here for 2 nights recently - my family wanted to go to the park and thought we would give this location a try. You really can't say enough about the convenience of the location - a short walk to the park entrance and just a little further to access the MTR. We really wanted to see the pandas and other wildlife at the park and that did not disappoint - and we loved the panda themes throughout the hotel and its grounds. The rooms were smaller than expected. The bathroom had a tub with a shower which is atypical but clearly for the kids? The breakfast buffet appears to be the main event as everyone who stays at the hotel seems to eat there - it can be a zoo in there. The food is ample, diverse and you will stuff your face. The fitness center has great equipment but it's a tight squeeze in there - which TBH, I don't understand given how much space the property and the hotel has (why make the gym so small). Front desk and bellman service were excellence. Calling a taxi or Uber was easy, but frankly, the MTR is so compelling given that you're just 1 stop from Admiralty.

They handled a minor issue during our stay with great efficiency and care, proactively upgrading our room and providing complimentary breakfast. This level of attentiveness to guest satisfaction is truly commendable. The hotel facilities and views were also excellent. We encountered some ants in our room on the first night. While the manager’s recovery service was outstanding, I would suggest strengthening the pest control and deep cleaning protocols to ensure the consistent high standards of the Marriott brand are maintained.

- Suet Yee (10/5): 10/10 comfort, would stay again - This was easily the most comfortable hotel I've ever stayed at. The room was not only spacious, but thoughtfully designed, with plenty of floor space (for luggage) and table surfaces to place our items during our stay. The bathtub was humongous, and it was the highlight for my kids. I also appreciated the wonderful service at the children's play area, as well as the staff at Prohibition Grill & Bar. Unfortunately what could have been a perfect stay was marred by some of the rowdier guests. At least once every night, I was be woken up by noise from the corridor. There are also no food options nearby aside from hotel restaurants or theme park food, but since it's walking distance to the MTR station, it's not a big problem if you're willing to hop on to the MTR to get some local fare.

While there were some positives—Alvin at the front desk was excellent, and the breakfast team at Marina Kitchen was friendly—several issues during my stay and the hotel's handling of my feedback left me deeply disappointed. Room Condition My room had visible rust on the bathroom sliding door frame and handle. The marble surface under the TV had noticeable stains and imprints, likely from a hot cup or pot left there for a prolonged period. These are not minor oversights, they suggest a lack of regular maintenance and attention to detail. Service Lapses I had a confirmed late checkout at 13:00, which was clearly noted on my registration card. Yet at 12:42, a housekeeper knocked on my door despite the Do Not Disturb sign being active. I had to answer in my underwear. This should never happen with a confirmed late checkout and DND enabled. During breakfast at Marina Kitchen, food items were not replenished toward the end of the service, while chefs stood nearby chatting. The buffet was supposed to run until 11:00, but by 10:40, several items were empty and not refilled. Service Recovery – The Real Problem I provided detailed feedback to the hotel. My first reply was a generic, copy-pasted template by Assistant Guest Service Manager, Nancy Law, one I recognized because it was practically identical to a response I received after a previous stay. When I called this out, I received a slightly more personalized reply, but it framed the issues as a matter of my "expectations" rather than the hotel's own standards. The phrase "We will schedule a deep cleaning to meet—and exceed—your expectations" implied that basic maintenance was a special favor to me. I asked directly whether the rust and stains were overlooked or simply ignored. That question was never answered by a subsequent reply by Guest Service Manager, Austen So. I requested to be invited to complete a post-stay survey so my feedback could be published. I was told the hotel "cannot control its delivery, a response that felt like an attempt to suppress honest feedback rather than to address it. The Bottom Line A hotel of this standard should not have rust in the bathroom, stained marble, or housekeeping disturbances during a confirmed late checkout. But what disappointed me most was the hotel's refusal to take accountability. Instead of answering my questions or acknowledging the failures, I received polite but evasive replies that shifted responsibility back to me. While one might expect a high level of service and mutual respect after such a commitment, my recent experience with the sales management and property upkeep has been incredibly upsetting. Management’s Refusal to Listen & The "Nice People" Excuse The most frustrating issue has been a persistent noise disturbance. My neighboring guests leave their room door wide open 24/7—even throughout the night. This allows chattering and baby screaming to flood directly into the hallway and my room. When I brought this to the Sales Manager, they were incredibly dismissive. They jumped to the conclusion that I was simply complaining about a baby, completely ignoring the root of the problem: the open door. I was told these guests are "very nice people." This logic is baffling. • Does being “nice” mean you are exempt from basic hotel etiquette? • Does it mean "nice" people are allowed to disturb others at 3:00 AM? • As a loyal guest of seven months, am I suddenly "not nice" because I expect the standard of privacy and quiet I am paying for? A Daily Cycle of Reporting The situation has become a daily burden for me. I have had to report this to housekeeping every single day. The Housekeeping Manager will come by to close the door, but the neighboring guests simply reopen it the moment the manager leaves the floor. It is clear that the hotel lacks any proactive "surveillance routine" or security protocols to maintain guest comfort and low noise levels. A premium hotel should not rely on a guest to do the job of their security or floor management teams. Room Conditions & Subpar Dining The physical state of the room has also declined. There is a persistent, heavy humidity smell that makes the space feel damp and uninviting. Furthermore, for a long-term resident, the dining options are a major disappointment: • Breakfast: The majority of the food feels pre-made, stale, and lacks freshness. • Room Service & Pier Lounge: Across the board, the meals are untasty and do not reflect the premium price point. It is a sad state of affairs when a long-term guest has to look outside the hotel for a decent meal. Final Verdict After seven months of loyalty, I expected to be treated as a valued resident. Instead, I was met with a Sales Manager who made excuses for other guests' poor behavior and ignored the deteriorating state of the property. If you value professional service and a quiet environment, I suggest you look elsewhere.

- fvn260 (10/5): My Second Birthday Stay - The hotel staff provided me with excellent service from my arrival to my birthday celebration which I had planned for the weekend. The check-in process was quick and efficient, allowing me to settle in without any hassle. The front desk staff surprised me with their birthday wishes although my actual birthday has just passed. The front desk staff treated me as a special guest who deserved their greeting. The M Club Lounge remains my absolute favorite part of the hotel. The lounge provided delicious food together with various drink options which customers could choose from according to their individual preferences. During my stay, I had the pleasure of reconnecting with the Guest Experience Manager, Kirby Au. I found it enjoyable to share my stay experiences with her because she dedicated herself to customer service while showing authentic concern for their needs. The dedication and commitment to her work which she demonstrates through her team members Johnny and Mia and Samil deserve special recognition. The team members provided outstanding service which made me feel completely comfortable during my entire visit. The oversized bathtub in my room at this hotel was always my most anticipated feature. And, the celebration became more special when I received a birthday cake with a candle together with a card and some fruits which served as a special gift. I shared my breakfast buffet feedback during my previous visit to the hotel. The hotel showed commitment to improving its restaurant environment through their substantial efforts which I observed during my visit. The hotel upgrades created a better dining experience which established a more pleasant atmosphere through improvements and their aim to satisfy guests. I will certainly visit again!

The breakfast isn't included and that's a big turn down for families with kids. As there are no food centres or restaurants nearby, an mtr ride to causeaybay or central us nearest.

На ресепшене не всегда охотно отвечали на вопросы, что было особенно некомфортно, учитывая, что это был мой первый визит в Гонконг. Номера обычные, без каких-либо особенностей — ничего сверхъестественного или запоминающегося. В целом ожидания от сервиса были выше. Также в отеле отсутствуют какие-либо приветственные напитки. На ресепшене нет ни welcome drink, ни даже воды для гостей. В жарком климате это особенно ощущается, так как я привыкла, что в подобных странах гостям всегда доступна питьевая вода.
- Chee07 (10/5): Wonderful and amazing stay! - My family and I had a great experience at Marriott Ocean Park. We are grateful for the upgrade to a room where there's a tub, so the kids could enjoy! It's easy access to everything is just very convenient for families. We loved the service at the Pier Lounge. And also, the kids' play area is a total savior! The only thing is, even if the child is old enough, you need to be there while they play. Nonetheless, everything was top-notch!

The location is outright brilliant with direct connection to the Ocean Park Entrance and MTR Station. The most basic room was quite big and clean. The ambiance was wonderful with music playing in the lobby. The lobby also was incredibly clean with a good fragrance and positive vibes. The staff were very friendly, helping us in every way possible. The price for breakfast was quite high. They also charged for basic amenity kits.

The rating would have been 5 stars but the soundproofing between rooms due to interlocking door was poor but we were fortunate this shortcoming did not cause us a major issue during our stay.

- Natalie F (8/5): Good option close to Ocean Park, but misses the mark considering the price tag - Convenient to get to and from Ocean Park - just a couple of escalators away. The bathroom is spacious, but lacks hooks for hanging up towels. Water pressure and heat of shower is okay. The Philips water filter in room was appreciated considering there is also a coffee pot. Hotel staff were all very helpful and no problems storing luggage before and after stay. Highly recommend booking the buffet for the night of your stay. Considering the price of the hotel, furniture is well used and the room overall is lacking USB charging/power points. Taxi is the only convenient way of travelling/exploring the neighbourhood.
