Guest Reviews
- Gianmarco (1/5): -
- Hans (1/5): - They never answered the phone nor replied any messages
- Blessing (1/5): I did not stay at the property - The host lacks professionalism and is far from being courteous. On the day I was meant to check in, my friends and I rang the host on several occasions for hours and she did not answer her phone leaving us stranded outside the property. By the time, she gave me a call back, she casually said she wasn’t aware of the booking that I made and was already clearly charged. She offered to refund me immediately without any proper apology nor accountability. It’s a real turn off for me. Book this place AT YOUR OWN RISK. Unaccountability, Lack of professionalism
- Varga (10/5): - All apartment verry good Full facility
- paul (5/5): Never again! Best avoided - Leaving! Grim.
Filthy pillows. Smelly bedding. Had to buy our own it was that bad.
Broken fridge-freezer box door missing. Anything put in the fridge will freeze.
Kitchen doors hanging off,
Bath rusted and mouldy tap end, shower screen missing bottom seal and ineffective. Water all over floor while using.
Owner very slow and difficult in forwarding access information, had to sit and wait for this in local coffee shop for an hour at 1830-check in from allegedly from 1500.
- Jodie (1/5): Awful ,no support fr on booking.com - What property ?? I turned up to the address provided to arrive at a Sainsbury’s supermarket . Calked the number provided to be told the property is damaged , you will have to go somewhere else.
Then proceeded to be told I was a bully because I told ‘tayo’ I believe is the name used that this was not acceptable . He then hung up and sent me another address in a total different area of London .
Which was no where near to where I needed to be for my plans for the weekend .
Absolutely appalling . There is no property , on investigation the property has been under investigation for fire negligence and has a court case being presumed against it .
Not only that the property is also on the market for sale .
- Jakub (1/5): - There was NO STAY. Immediately after confirming and paying for my stay I got a call from the host that this place is no longer available and I shall cancel it (paying service fee because of that). Even though I did nothing wrong I’ve gotten turned down and until this day (it’s been a week) I didn’t get any information about the refund besides one that claims that it is MY FAULT. Shame!
- Jason (1/5): Worst stay away I’ve ever had. I won’t be using this platform again after I contacted customer service for help with wha - Nothing as we didn’t stay at the property advertised and the owner sent us somewhere completely different which appeared to be social housing being illegally sublet. The way the owner advertised it and sent us somewhere else. So the property in the original listing clearly doesn’t exist. It’s a scam.
- Ticianne Amanda (1/5): -
- Aderonke (8/5): Had an amazing time -
- Lindsey (1/5): No communication, no access. Awful - Nothing We asked for a late check in, around 9/10pm, the host did not reply. They didn’t reply to any messages and when we turned up they were no where to be found and we could not contact them. We had to last minute at 10pm, find different accommodation. There was also no free parking nearby as stated
- Melinda (1/5): Never book this place, it is terrible. - nothing to like, this was an aweful experience. We had a most unconfortable stay ever, it completely destroyed our holiday!
We booked for 5 persons, as it offered 1 room with double bed and 1 room with double bed & sofa. However, the sofa bed was missing completely. Instead, the owner suggested to our friend to sleep in the living room/kitchen, on a two-seat couch that was no more than 160 cm long, utterly unconfortable, not even made as a bed, so totally unfitting for a person to sleep on it.
Upon arrival owner messaged to collect the key from the post office nearby. The post office demanded to hand over our cell, from which they called the owner again, to justify that we can get the key, telling us "this is the normal way how this guy deals with the guests". We had no other choice but to hand over the cell for the call, feeing extremely uncomfortable. Then we received the key, however, it did not open the front gate. We called the owner again who told us he knows about this but we simply have to push random buttons for the neighbours and someone will let us in. Finally a kind neighbour opened the gate, we got in, and waited for almost 2 hours before the owner arrived. We also noticed that nothing was prepared for our arrival, no bedsheet, no towels.
When the owner arrived, we asked about the code that was needed for the front gate and he said he did not know it. During all the stay, whenever we came home, we had to we had to do this method, sometimes standing in front of the house for 15-20 minutes before someone let us in. It was extremely awkward, also because we had a theatre ticket for Saturday night, arriving back to the apartment after midnight, and we had to ring the neighbours at that time.
But the misery was not over. Upon departure we were informed, that we had to deposit the key again at the post office, where the officer demanded 10 pounds from us to accept the key, again saying, "this is the normal procedure of this guy".
There was no heating, only 3 towels for 5...
- Michaella (4/5): Not the best location we had to wait out in the cold for over an hour for the keys it was cold - There was no instructions on how to pick up the keys or which flat number were staying in we had to sit outside in the freezing cold and dark for over an hour to wait for the keys
- Fayese (9/5): Superb - Nice and clean apartment
- Odunayo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Idris (10/5): Exceptional - The location and the services Non
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Colin (7/5): Good -
- John (9/5): Superb - The proximity to train station, supermarkets and bus stops. The washing machine didn’t work well
- Gmac (3/5): OK but would not recommend! - Flat was spacious enough for two adults and 3 children although there was only 2 double beds so the 3 children had to share a bed.
Sainsbury superstore right next door which was good and train station about 2 min walk away. The host did not respond to multiple attempts to contact by email in the run up to our stay and even when I phoned they didn't answer. I received a call from a different number and was greeted by someone asking me "who is this?" and it turned out to be the host calling me back. I was told they would call me back once they found my booking but didn't so I tried contacting them again and all i got back was a text message telling me to "contact them when we are 20 mins away". When I did try to contact them I was told to "go to the Post Office and then call them back". The Post Office is at the bottom of the apartment building but to be told to "go into the Post Office and hand your phone over to the man behind the counter" is not really great especially when the man behind the counter didn't really know what was going on! I eventually go the key to the property from one of the people working in the shop then the host WhatsApp video called me to explain where and how to get into the property. This was an absolute joke of a check in process.
The property itself was OK as we only used it as a base but there was not enough towels provided, limited TV options for the kids, no plug for the kitchen sink which meant we had to use the dishwasher but then there was hardly any crockery provided.
Although the pictures show a shower you cannot stand underneath it as the shower head, which looks like it has been badly replaced as was not matching the photos, just sprays straight ahead so you have to take it off and hold it when showering. Also there was no hot water on our last day in the flat.
The intercom went off in the early hours of the morning on a couple of occasions which was not great.
We did not attempt to contact the host regarding any of the above given how non responsive they had been from booking to check in as we did not want the hassle.
- Ty (1/5): Didn't get access to property still got charge full amount - Didn't get access to property still got charge full amount Didn't get access to property still got charge full amount
- Japheth (8/5): Very good - location
- Nuria (5/5): Passable - Apartment was comfy, and served us for what we needed, the TV was nice to have and had an HDMI cable so we could connect the laptop and watch what we wanted. Part of the property was damaged, there was damage to beside tables etc, the vacuum was not emptied previous to our stay and whatever was left in there smelt horrible.
However that was not the main issue we had, my group and I decided to stay in this place due to how close it was to a train station (less than 5 mins walk) and that suited us well as we had an event at the ExCel which was two stops away. On the day, the guy seemingly forgot we had a booking at the place, so asked to meet at 2:30 rather than 2. Once calling the guy again, he had gone to the wrong apartment and was in Canary Wharf, so we had to wait outside for another 30/40 mins for him. Once arriving, it was ONLY once he met up with us that he told us the apartment was out of power, and "didn't want to pressure himself to fix it" that day. So we had to be moved to another flat entirely which was further away from the station and caused us to spend a lot more on travel throughout the weekend.
The guy was also already seemingly in a huff when he met up with us, saying he wasn't meant to be working today.
The apartment itself wasn't bad, the the circumstances around us having to be moved to the different apartment was not fun at all and made us all quite stressed and upset.
I'd suggest to please double check apartments/places are ready and in a good condition for those staying beforehand rather than on the day making them aware of issues within the flat.
Not the most fun experience.
- Elvis (10/5): HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - Location is just beside the Abbey Wood train station but no noise from the trains since it is a terminus. There is a sainsbury beside the accommodation so easy to get groceries and other things you need as it also has a ARGOS in the sainsbury. Location is about 10-15 mins from central london Some broken refrigerator and freezers trays but fridge and freezer were functional.
- Eleanor (7/5): Good -
- Vamshi (8/5): Very good -
- Bismarck (1/5): Bad - I didn't even know the door number to even ring the door as they only gave you just the the name of the road and it's difficult to locate the apartment block because there's too many roads in the estate and the apartment block is literally hidden and be careful with your luggage because there are a lot of funny people standing below the apartment in the night. You can't change the date or the time when you book this apartment, so in case you have any delay for whatever the reason, they won't be at the property and they won't answer your calls. I got scammed £509 when I got to the property just 30 minutes late, which I informed the property of my delay and Booking.com due to my flight, but they rejected it the changes and I didn't get to even see the property. The place is far away. Simple be careful. I didn't see the place and they took my money. A lot of funny looking people stand on the ground floor of the apartment in the night, so be very careful. Dangerous looking area. So be ware.
- Robert (3/5): Poor -
- Iulian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adam (7/5): overall worth the stay, comfortable and good value - Great location, warm apartment with multiple fans. Good price, big Sainsburys next door No pillow cases on bed pillows, missing kitchen items like oven gloves (nothing to get food out of oven with), no kitchen towels or kitchen roll
- Cedric (10/5): Amazing - The property was clean and tidy just like in the picture and the host was lovely.
- Rimsha (7/5): Reasonably priced, good location. - The location was great as the tube was on the doorstep. There was also a convenience store and a Sainsbury’s just below the apartment. The apartment was furnished nicely and had all of the needed amenities. Our toilet got blocked on the first day and when I texted to get it fixed, the message was seen but not replied to and no one came out so we had to fix it ourselves. The apartment was also very warm (it was sunny when we stayed) and we were unsure how to work the thermostat, but because no one replied to our earlier request we didn’t feel like we could ask. It would be good if the host also let people who want to book know about the parking situation as the street parking was only permitted from 1pm till the next day at 11am, but for the 2 hours in between there is no free parking which can be inconvenient if you are out and about. We used “Just Park” to find other parking spots that we could leave our car at and not worry about (had to pay but is worth the leave of mind).
- Hemendra (7/5): good property for family with some little improvements - location was perfect for family. it’s safe for family because property just 2 min away from abbey wood station and supermarket is available on ground floor this property is in 1st floor of aprtment it’s not Complaint for owner but it’s suggestion to property owner
i have seen some review about property owner which is totally incorrect about him.
he is a gentleman and come on time when i was arrived and give proper understanding of his house.
things to missing in apartment
hair dryer
dusbin in toilet
body wash
shampoo
Need to repair sofa bed
bath tab is leaking ( just need to fix rest is all good)
- Heather (6/5): More attention to detail and cleaning Req - Bedding and lounge soft furnishings stained and unmentionables located behind the bed reported . Other wise nice big apartments and reasonable clean . Location above Sansburys next to overground tube into London. I requested a small refund given the serious nature of unmentionable items located in the bedroom no one has bothered to reconpence appologies or contact me hence a much poorer review .
- Adeduro (2/5): Very poor -
- Arif (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sechei (5/5): Passable - All the pictures of this apartment is not real and the agency guys are not nice people. They don't have a car park just say , you can park in Sainsbury store. The kitchen is dirty, plates and cups was dirty. No towels,no toilet roll. Shame.
- Rahma (6/5): Pleasant -
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The apartment was perfectly adequate. Minutes from Abbey Wood station and a supermarket at the bottom of the building. Only one wine glass meant we had to buy some, a large pan had the handle falling off and crockery had chips in it so some work needs to be done here. We were here for the London Marathon and the apartment suited our needs for 3 nights but it definitely needs some attention.
- Lorenzo (8/5): - Hard to get in contact with the manager once we did the reservation, I had to call hotels.com service.
Nevertheless once we get there the manager was really gentle since he had to wait us more than 30 mins over the check-in limit (our flight was delayed).
Cleaniness to be improved. Overall is a good choice for 3-4 days with a family since is really close to Abbey Wood station and moreover it has a big Sainsbury downstairs.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The property was clean, needed some maintenance as light bulbs were missing and the shower was blocked, we were given the wrong address on the booking form which meant another taxi ride to the correct one then we had to pay a £40 cleaning bill which was noted when we booked however it had to be paid in cash overall experience on reflection was poor and would not do this again
