Guest Reviews
- Tushita (8/5): Decent - Quaint rooms. Cordial staff. Shower can be better. It's uncomfortable.
- Sofia (2/5): Left right after checking in because I felt unsafe, then was bribed to stay quiet. - The man who checked me in was kind. That was the only positive. The location was in an alley behind a gate that locked. The rep for the property was not able to communicate how I was supposed to access my room when the gate was closed. Check in was a mess, instructions were not given beforehand on how to get to the property and my first 3 calls to the property went unanswered. There were holes and what seemed to be mold on the walls, only one outlet in the room worked, and breakfast isn’t on site. You have to leave the property for the included breakfast. I was on the ground floor of what seemed to be an apartment building, right next to the entrance of the building. I did not feel safe in the building or the area. When I left right after I arrived, I requested at least a partial refund since I didn’t use any of the facilities and would be immediately leaving, and I was denied then bribed to not leave a negative review.
- Cristina (8/5): Very good - The room and the bed were very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast included doesn't have many options to choose.
- Anonymous (10/5): Excellent value for money, ideal for exploring the city and welcoming staff. - With excellent value for money, Casa Sanni was the ideal accommodation for our six-night stay. The room offers a charming view of the domes of the Basilica of Santa Maria della Sanita, which also means that there are no vis-à-vis. The kitchen is shared with two other rooms.
Casa Sanni is linked to the B&B Casa Del Monacone a few metres below, where breakfast is served. Yoghurt, salami, cheese, spreads and jams, not forgetting of course cafè and capucino, this breakfast is the perfect way to start the day.
In terms of location, Casa Sanni overlooks Corso Amedeo di Savoia, where you'll find local shops and restaurants. From a tourist point of view, Casa Sanni is ideally situated for visiting the catacombs of San Gaudioso. We were able to explore all the touristic spots from our accommodation by foot, but those less keen on walking will prefer to take public transports.
The staff made us feel very welcome and remained accessible. They were able to answer all our questions as tourists, from restaurant recommendations to information about the history and culture of the area. We highly recommend it.
- Jung (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tobias (10/5): Simple but great! Really enjoyed it. - Really good breakfast for Italy. Not just dry biscuits, but fresh Napolitan sfogliatelle and other pastries. Also, savory elements like salami and provolone cheese. Coffee was good too!
- Petya (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment itself is great and it is very close to the city center. The breakfast is delicious. Giuseppe and Marco are extremely helpful. Thank you for the lovely stay
- Sreelekshmi (10/5): Exceptional - I didn't get access to the breakfast one day
- Andreea (10/5): Exceptional - - room and bathroom were very nice (also the room had AC, which was much appreciated since it was August), had no issues with them
- breakfast was also very good and the breakfast location was not in the same building but was very close (bonus: the breakfast location is actually right next to a very interesting place that's totally worthy of visiting, the San Gaudioso catacombs)
- the host was very kind and helpful
- building relatively close to the Museo subway station, from where you can easily reach other places in the city - the different keys we received and each of their uses were a bit tricky to remember in the beginning, but with enough trial and error it was always manageable
- Matija (8/5): Very good -
- Ellen (10/5): Very nice and tidy room, cleaned every day. Good breakfast. The staff was kind. - They arranged a gluten free breakfast
- Roberto (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fedon (9/5): Superb - Simple, functional kitchen (could use some more plates), very clean, no noise, nice view over the dome of San Gaudioso catacombs.
- Philip (9/5): Would I come back? Yes! - Nice and friendly people.
Good breakfast, with a good selection. Was at another location, at a 2min walking distance.
Very clean room with daily cleaning. Small bathroom with a rather slow flow of water in the shower.
- Rafal (10/5): Exceptional - - very good and quick contact
- clean and comfy (great, big bed)
- excellent localization - maybe the birds "singing" late at night from the chapel next to BB but nothing can do with that ;)
- Marija (10/5): Very good place, excellent value for money and a pleasant experience - It is a big apartment with three separate rooms with bathrooms and a shared kitchen. The breakfast is served every day until 10AM in a restaurant in an amazing building nearby, down the street and down the elevator. The room and the bathroom were clean. In the apartment there are packed croissants, teas, a coffee machine. The host Giuseppe is kind. I fully recommend staying here. Also the neighbors in the building next door are super friendly! The shower takes a minute for the hot water to come out and is also a bit strong. The shared kitchen is a bit humid but an open window fixes it.
- Martin (6/5): Nice property, shame about the plumbing! - Shared kitchen area
Good self service breakfast
Regular bus service
Owners friendly and helpful
Reduced admission to amazing nearby catacombs Breakfast location offsite involving use of lift
We had ongoing problem with shower which ran hot and cold (despite best efforts of owners to fix it!)
A difficult journey from main train station if using public transport
- Jan (8/5): Very good -
- Regina (9/5): Superb -
- Samina (10/5): Nice place to stay. - Very calm and quiet and everything was available. Felt cold but I am a cold person, heating was on on full.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zoltanlondon (10/5): Friendly apartment close to Catacombe - This place is a quite comfortable apartment about 20 minutes walk from the historical city centre. I really enjoyed to stay here while there are several cafes and restaurants nearby. It is about 5 minutes walking distance from the Napoli Catacombe, which is a place you must visit. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was enough and the cleaning staff were okay - so I really enjoyed to stay here. -
- Merl (9/5): It was a good and clean place - The person in charge spoke English and was available on the phone anytime. Although they had an arrangement to have bfast inside the place, to have fresh bfast you have to walk a little further. It is ok but unfortunately, I got caught to the rain and it was flooding and could not cross the road to come back. In the end I had to cross the dirty water which was almost knee high, and travel to Rome in wet shoes..
It is about 12 or more Euros via taxi from train Station and bus station.
- Sara (10/5): Great place and the best staff! - Our host Giuseppe was incredibly helpful - we were in touch with him during our stay via Whatsapp. He gave us great reccomendations for must have places and food, even helped us with transport when we were having problems. Moreover breakfast was excellent - fresh pastries, great cold meats and cheese, bruschetta, yogurts, juices etc. Giuseppe always made us delicious coffee as well. Rooms were cleaned during our stay, everything was even better than we expected. Highly recommended and will definitely come back if visiting Napoli.
- Ivan (8/5): Nice room in an interesting and under-appreciated neighborhood. Very friendly and helpfull staff. -
- Kristīne (9/5): Superb - Guiseppe is an amazing host! Helps with everything so I highly recommend :)
- Stratos (8/5): Very good - The view of the room and the hospitality of Giuseppe!
