- Adam (10/5): Relaxing and beautiful stay in the desert - Everything was amazing, the private villa was big with a beautiful garden with pool and hot tub. The bedroom and bathroom were great and very comfortable. The amenities on site were great, fantastic bar and breakfast and all the staff were so helpful. Almost everything was perfect, one small detail was the mini fridge in our room wasn’t very cold.

And the breakfast. OMG, it’s like the buffet in Michlien restaurant. A lot of kinds of bakery and desert are very common In Middle East countries and it’s not very tasty: dry and tasteless, but in Al Wathda there is the best hotel breakfast I ever visit, and bakery was very soft, tasty and unusual.

- David (10/5): Fantastische oase van rust in Abu Dhabi. - Heerlijke oase van rust in de woestijn zo'n 40 minuten vanuit het centrum van Abu Dhabi. Zodra je het terrein oprijdt, hoef je er dagen niet meer af (wij zijn er een week niet afgeweest). De restaurants bieden genoeg variatie, het zwembad en de overige faciliteiten (wave rider, paardrijden, boogschieten om er een paar te noemen) houden je bezig, en het personeel doet er alles aan om je verblijf top te maken (Majid natuurlijk, en David bij de pool). Alhoewel we er verbleven tijdens een onrustige tijd in de Emiraten, merkten we er hier weinig van. Voor iedereen werd fantastisch gezorgd. Ik zal er zo terugkomen. Kan niets bedenken

- Caroline (9/5): A peaceful & relaxing resort for a 3 night mini break. - A wonderful peaceful resort with a beautiful pool, comfortable rooms and good dining options. The staff in all areas were super friendly and helpful, even allowing us access to their concierge room to store our bikes during the stay. 2 minor things to mention. The fridge in our room was never really cold so if you do have drinks or snacks they may not last well. Secondly, I originally booked a room with 2 twin beds (for 2 adults and a teenager) having been told the beds were a really good size. On arrival it was clear that the sleeping space would be a bit tight for the 3 of us but, the staff quickly recognised this and arranged for an extra bed for our son…not a negative as such, more just something to be aware of.

They offered an alternative resort, which we accepted and which was very nice. However it wasn’t what we were looking for and consequently not what we wanted. Please see above answer.
- anubha (9/5): - The location and how secluded it is , you can see the clear skies and breathe the fresh air ! Amazing rooms , loved the pool and the in-house restaurants . The hospitality is top notch , you can feel the warmth and kindness of every staff member in every interaction with them. I believe the breakfast can be better - the buffet options are quite limited and often keep running out . Having said that they have an amazing eggs menu , which doesn’t let the breakfast feel boring !

- Sarah (9/5): Beautiful retreat in the desert! - Al Wathba is stunning! So beautiful to be out in the desert and to enjoy the tranquility of the area! We booked a room with a pool, but sadly, we could only use it once, as there is a lamp above the pool, where pigeons roost, and they then heavily pooped in the pool whilst we were at supper, and so we then couldn’t use it. As it was the evening, and we had been told that a pool man would clean the pool in the morning, we weren’t too concerned, and thought we would be able to swim in the morning, but unfortunately they don’t come in the morning, so we were disappointed to not be able to use our pool. If we returned, we wouldn’t book a room with a pool- not worth it.

- Cornelia (10/5): Ein Traumurlaub in der Wüste! - Wir haben einen phantastischen Aufenthalt im Al Wathba Resort erleben dürfen. Unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Wo fange ich an? Die Lage des Resorts ist sehr schön; es ist sehr ruhig und idyllisch. Trotzdem ist es kein Problem, in ca 45 Minuten in der Stadt zu sein. Unser zimmer war sehr geräumig; die Pflegeprodukte im Bad hochwertig. Alles war sehr sauber, Extrawünsche wurden sofort erfüllt. Unser liebenswürdiger Butler Barnabas versorgte uns noch mit einer Flasche Wein und Macrons, so aufmerksam. Das Frühstücksbuffet ließ kulinarisch keinen Wunsch offen, ebenso das wunderbare Iftar-Buffet, das wir zweimal genießen durften. Alles war perfekt organisiert und auf sehr hohem Niveau. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr aufmerksam und nett; leider konnten wir uns nicht alle Namen merken; stellvertretend für so viele möchten wir Ms. Khin und Mr Ishak vom Frühstücksteam nennen und Mr Hakin von der Rezeption. Jedoch war wirklich jeder einzelne Mitarbeiter wunderbar. Sehr schön ist auch der Spa-Bereich; wie die ganze Anlage ist auch der Spabereich wunderschön und großzügig konzipiert. Wir haben uns in diese Anlage verliebt und werden sehr gerne wiederkommen. Unser herzlichstes Dankeschön für diesen unvergesslich schönen Aufenthalt. nichts!

We booked a two-bedroom private pool villa (Villa 2), and it was the perfect choice for our family of four – spacious, private, and utterly luxurious. The staff were exceptional – attentive, friendly, and always going the extra mile to make our stay special. Special shoutout to the butler service Barnabas for arranging a memorable desert tour during our stay and upon check out. Al Wathba strikes the perfect balance of adventure and luxury for families. We’ve already recommended it to friends and can’t wait to return. 5 stars without hesitation

There were plenty of activities for the kids including archery buggy driving in the sand dunes and also they absolutely loved the wave machine! My husband had a great massage in the spa, sadly I had fractured my foot before we went away. The staff could not have been more helpful and really made such a difference to the holiday to help it run smoothly. Customer service was excellent. A huge thank you to Asanka who helped us every day with our trip and really helped me to get around the resort, he made it so special and was so attentive to us all, we hope to be back one day!

- Nino (9/5): Sehr schönes Resort am Eingang zur weiten Wüste - Wunderschönes Resort mit vielen guten Restaurants und Freizeitaktivitäten. Auch das SPA Angebot ist wirklich sehr gut und bietet eine sehr schöne Einrichtung, die kostenlos genutzt werden kann. Das Personal ist zudem sehr freundlich. Das Resort ist zudem gut mit dem Taxi aus dem Zentrum erreichbar (max. 60min). Es wäre gut, wenn es einen Erwachsenenbereich am Pool und im Frühstücksbereich gäbe. Zudem fanden wir den "FlowRider" eher unpassend für einen so magischen Ort.

- Starryflower (8/5): just 45 min from abu dhabi nice weekend chill spot - we stayed there couple of nights, beautiful resort, just dont expect it to be in the centre of desert amongst the sand dunes & such, it is in the edge of desert and the surrounding is not wow like other places right in the middle of desert amongst the sand dunes. its a relaxing place to go for couple of nights, service was amazing, beautiful sunsets, ( ask buggy rider to take you for amazing view of the sunset) we had pool villa which as right at the ege with the expanse of sand view, very private and pool was also nice, to just dip in the heat of the afternoon, they have good food, also the main pool was nice.

- 367munyaradzik (8/5): RELAXING!!!!! - Me and my wife visited the hotel about a month ago and we didn’t know what to expect considering it was our first and I might say it was sooo relaxing and we had a good time Mr Mohammed the tall manager (cool guy) who wears glasses was soo amazing even my wife was very pleased to and also the manager in the breakfast restaurant who wore absolutely stellar suits was also very good. Special thanks to Aza and lanisa from the spar side they they gave us a smoothing relaxing massage experience. Another waitress was very nice to us but we have forgotten her name. Definitely coming back.
