• Patricia (10/5): Nice place to stay in Rome - The Regency was very clean and the rooms were nice and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. You had to go up a few stairs to get into the hotel which is a little hard if you have multiple heavy suitcases.

Hotel staff make a great coffee for everyone's start of their day. Breakfast variety is more than required. You will enjoy the relaxed space for a good night sleep as you will not hear any street noise at this hotel. My new go to hotel while in ROME.

Rooms small; pillows uncomfortable, but has AC and is overall fine. Watch for discounting the breakfast bundle, even “half off” at 16,50 is a scam. Book elsewhere if you’re able.

• airwav (8/5): Nice hotel very close to the heart of the city - The hotel is a very nice location - very safe area (close to the embassies) and yet close to the Borghese gardens (7 minutes walk), Spanish steps and Trevi (14-20 minutes walk). It is a small hotel probably about 20-30 rooms. We were upgraded to a deluxe with a huge balcony/terrace. Nice gesture . The room itself was pretty big by European standards- it felt it was just out of renovation , very ergonomic and had everything for a comfortable stay . There is no parking at the hotel and the nearby garage is not really convenient. So I suggest using a valet service provided by the hotel. The front office is a bit hit and miss - most staff were great , and a couple definitely need more training. One person I would like to commend is the lady (I think she is the only one ) at the breakfast restaurant and the bar in the morning. She was so sweet. The breakfast itself was a small but good selection- everything was fresh and tasty. All in all, it is a number 1 choice hotel for us in Rome (despite a hiccup with a girl at the front office).

Beautiful boutique hotel located right in the heart of Rome. We were welcomed warmly by staff. Champagne and a nice note from the general manager was a nice touch. We were celebrating a milestone 90th birthday and my own wedding anniversary. The hotel arranged transportation from the airport to the hotel as well as transport to the departing cruise port.
• deelow95 (10/5): Excellent hotel; nice and quiet location - Amazing hotel! This is such a great location that is not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Its in a quiet area over near the Rome Zoo and Piazza de Siena which has the Borghese Gardens! Quick 10-minutes walk. Also some nice restaurants close by and in walking distance. You will need to take a taxi if you come in at the train station, which will cost you under $10. Dont be scammed by a taxi trying to charge off the meter! The room itself was so clean and luxurious. The AC worked pretty well. Had a really nice balcony that had excellent views! The bathroom was very nice and had a rain shower. The bed was comfortable and clean. Nice turn down service and provided us with little chocolates on the bed. I was very impressed with everything. Restaurant was god, we had some snacks and drinks down there! Also had a welcome drink at the bar and coffee in the morning. Coffee was from a nespresso machine, not so great, I was hoping it would be made from the large old school copper espresso machine they had at the bar!! Overall i definitely suggest this hotel. A little rather out of the central rome locations and the touristy things, but still a nice place to stay if you like it a bit quieter!
• hershba (10/5): Amazing boutique hotel in Rome - This hotel is a gem. Located in a good neighborhood this hotel and its staff were superb. They know every guest by room and name. They went out of their way to ensure we had an amazing honeymoon experience from check in to the gift awaiting in our room. The restaurant was good. All in all, a small hotel that offered excellent service, best bed and pillows of the 8 hotels we visited on this trip, nicely decorated, and overall a definite YES for travelers to Rome.

It's approximately 45 minutes from FCO. Highly recommend The Regency for couples, not families. My wife and I had a wonderful stay.

• shawnfE1427YQ (8/5): Overall a good experience and decent location near city centre. - Decent location within reasonable walking distance of Spanish Steps and Piazza di Trevi. There are better hotels closer to the city centre, but this one is more reasonably priced compared to a lot of others in the area. Hotel has a small restaurant and bar, along with small workout room which is a plus considering many local hotels don't have a workout room.

Thanks to Room Service and the lovely personalized welcome note with pastries. Such gestures make a difference, and we, the guests, truly appreciate it. Special thanks to Elena at breakfast. Breakfast variety could be improved. More cheese options, olives, more bread options.
• George (9/5): Very nice - Great room that was large and comfortable. Great location for my meetings. First time I can recall where the room service was massively better than expected - the pansa being superb. Very friendly staff. Not cheap but nice.
• wrfme (6/5): Staff opening the door a couple of times while inside - We stayed here for 3 nights. It would have a great stay but staff walked in a couple of times even having the do not disturb. 1st knock on the door and after I said hello, she just opened the door and asked if she can clean the room. 2nd time, we were sleeping in and again the don’t disturb was on. Slight knock which woke me up and even before I can say anything, the door opened wide and my wife screamed. She closed the door quickly and left. I called the front desk and reported the incident and also asked several times to talk to the manager. During check out, they said the manager is not available but they have told the housekeeping department. Really!

• aplum28 (10/5): Beautiful and comfortable hotel in a quiet neighborhood - Beautiful and clean hotel in a quiet neighborhood not far from tourist spots (10 minutes or so by taxi). Beautifully appointed rooms with Juliet balconies and comfortable beds. Great breakfast each morning, we particularly appreciated Elena and her kind service and excellent cappuccinos :) Really wonderful women working at the front desk with great local restaurant recommendations. We look forward to returning. Would also like to recognize Ernesto for being so kind to us and his help with our luggage as well.
• nofatboys (4/5): Not the best choice in Rome - The good points about this hotel - wonderfully clean. The neighbor appears quite safe and is pretty quiet. The not so good points - let me count the ways. First upon arrival I asked about early check in knowing that they had no obligation to do so. I was clear that I was willing to pay for the courtesy. I was enthusiastically told that my room would be ready in less than an hour and if I wanted wait the desk clerk would personally come find me as soon as it was ready. As a result I decided not to take a walk or go do anything but took a seat in the bar and ordered. Two and a half hours later when I checked in at the desk there was a new person who of course knew nothing about the promise of a room and just wanted to tell me that check in time was 3 pm. The temperature of the room is 100% controlled by the from desk. If you are like me and you think most hotels are overheated you will be very unhappy. Every day I call and ask the desk to turn off the heat (it is in the 60s here currently during the day). Every day the heat comes back on after temporary respite. The neighbor is mostly offices so most neighbor bars and pizza places close mid afternoon. Not much of anything is open on the weekend. You won’t find many places to catch an informal quick early dinner snack. The food at the hotel itself is okay but not much of anything is available between breakfast and when room service starts at 7 pm. I think there might be some cold cuts served during happy hour starting at 6 pm. The room itself is basic but clean and acceptable. The bathroom is odd as the sink has absolutely no counter space (see photo). Who would think this is a good idea?!? Would I stay here again? Probably only if the location was near where I had a meeting. Definitely not in the summer since the room temperature is controlled by big brother.

• UpgradeAppreciated (6/5): Fair stay near Borghese Gardens - My wife and I stayed four nights at the Regency. There were positives and negatives to the stay. Titanium elite with minimum benefits received. Location is pretty good. We walked and used taxis to get around. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance of hotel. SNA was denied (#BonvoyedAgain). Asked for upgrade to room with a balcony…denied also. Our room was nice but quite small. Bathroom had frosted glass window that illuminates the bedroom even with low light…shines right in the face of someone sleeping. Elite breakfast wasn’t very tasty and had few choices. Most surprising was a five euro charge for a Coke Zero with breakfast. Seemed a bit egregious. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily but one day took out unopened bottle of Prosecco, clean glasses and ice bucket. FDA sent replacement but no ice. The Prosecco came from hotel mgmt with a nice birthday greeting for my wife. The hotel posted a Happy Hour buffet and drinks for 15 euros…we went twice but found no buffet. The bartender tried to explain that we ordered from a menu but after five Euro Cokes we were slow to try it that way. Dinner one night at the restaurant was tasty and a fair value. Most likely, we will choose a different property on our return to Rome. This one wasn’t bad but I really hoped for more as a property and as a Titanium Elite.
• drqtaro (10/5): Excellent and value hotel. Will be back for sure. - We came here for an anniversary trip and what a wonderful experience. It’s a small but clean hotel with excellent service. Housekeeping was meticulously done. Resetting the room everyday after a long walking daily Roman trip was important to us. Will refer to all of my friends for sure. Location was a bit of a walk from the city centre but nice and safe. Thanks for the staff and great operation.
• mdubose82 (2/5): The Regency Rome-Lack of Cleanliness and Security Concerns. - I was directed by a gentleman by the name of Michele who claimed he was the Front Office Manager to contact the GM of the property, Gerardo S. Forestiero directly regarding housekeeping concerns and lack of cleanliness at The Regency Tribute Portfolio (Marriott) property during my stay. Also, the security concern when employees came into my room unannounced while my wife was sleep. This event startled my wife in which she was shaken up, totally not cool and unprofessional. I am a long time Marriott Titanium member and I expected better experiences when staying at a property under the Marriott umbrella, as always. The lack of cleanliness and safety concerns is totally unacceptable, and should always be addressed for improvement for future customers who intend on staying at this property. The focus on cleanliness and safety should be a top priority for us as customers and for property management, especially operating under the Marriott umbrella. My personal experience with cleanliness and safety at this property was unpleasant, especially with COVID-19 still being present in the world today. Michele mentioned for the inconvenience, he would reimburse a total of 58,000 Marriott Bonvoy points that was spent for the night stay back into my Bonvoy account, still waiting on the points reimbursement. They totally lied to me, avoid my calls and offered me a 30% discount on a future stay. I think not, why would want to stay at a property who can no make things right and/or resolve an issues and last but not least fulfill and promise made to me as a customer. Stay here at your own risk, trust me that I do not recommend this property to no one, save your self the headache. I will still push this issue on receiving corrective action regarding this matter I’ve experienced. And I want the points that was promised to me by there employee Michele, who claimed to be there Front Desk Manager. I really hope this review sheds some light to any future customers who even thought about staying at this property. ***Please be advised that I tried to give the property the opportunity to make this matter right with me before writing a review ***
• LK229 (8/5): Pros and Cons - We stayed at this hotel for a week in December. We arrived to the hotel late in the morning. They were able to accommodate our early arrival and we waited for a little over an hour while they got the room ready. During that time there were power outages to repair some issue with the hotel that were scheduled in the morning and afternoon as well. A note in the room indicated they were offering a discount on a future stay for the inconvenience relating to the power, however because of the reasons with our room outlined below we would not book again in the future. We liked the location because it was close enough to tourist attractions to take the bus or walk to a metro but not so close that it was crowded/busy. We booked a king room and were given a room on the second floor with a tub. As platinum members I don’t think we received an upgrade as the room we received seemed to be what we booked. The hotel did offer complimentary American breakfast (buffet of pastries, coffee, juice and ability to order eggs and a meat) as a platinum member benefit choice. We took advantage of the breakfast a few mornings and it was ok but not necessarily worth eating every day. The main issues with this hotel and why we likely wouldn’t stay again was due to the room itself. Our room had a tub that was poorly designed. The tub was inset to a tile surround that was covered with a metal edge. Because of the width and depth of the tub and the extra tile it was very difficult to get in and out if you’re shorter, particularly because the shower also didn’t drain well. The location of the shower head meant you were standing very close to the edge of the tub to reach the water and the tile shelf around the tub got very wet. The glass encasing at the corner near the shower head wasn’t leak proof and there was often water on the corner of the floor by the toilet. On the last night I slipped getting out and banged my leg against the sharp metal side and got a very large bruise as a result. There were also other issues with fixtures in the room as the sockets didn’t seem to work properly and the cover for one of the lighting fixtures near the ceiling was falling down. Overall while the price was very reasonable compared to other Marriott properties in Rome we wouldn’t stay again due to the inconvenience of the room. Also randomly during our stay the fire alarm went off in the early evening and everyone was told to evacuate through the emergency message. When we took the stairs to the lobby many people were sitting in the lobby including hotel employees however no one indicated whether we needed to continue to evacuate so we stayed outside till the alarm stopped. Then we went back in to ask if we were supposed to stay outside since people looked like they were moving around. Someone was told it was a mistake with the alarm because of the way something blew on it and everyone could go back. Overall it doesn’t seem like this potential emergency situation was handled very clearly. Overall while the stay was fine enough it was not something we would want to repeat.

The hotel is contemporary, the staff is outstanding, rooms re nicely appointed, beds are super comfortable and food and drinks are delicious. Quiet, upscale location within walking distance to many attractions and train station. Loved sitting on our balcony enjoying the beautiful weather and views.
• Larry (10/5): A Perfect Hotel Visit - As tourists in Rome we found the Regency very convenient, in a nice safe walkable area. The staff were excellent friendly helpful and professional. The modern hotel and our room were incredibly clean and tidy. Our European sized room was quiet and very comfortable and well designed. The Heat / AC allowed us to set a comfortable temperature and it's really noiseless. Highly recommend.

We loved the amenities, size of the room, balcony, friendly staff, wonderful welcome drink and cleanliness. The gym is small but has everything you need (two treadmills, a bike, weights, etc.) Really enjoyed the entire experience. The only issue we had was that the room across from us was the storage room for facilities so we heard them go in and out often. But not a huge issue for us since we weren't in the room too often.

• Lidyip (10/5): Excellent stay - The hotel was a wonderful stay for the last leg of our trip. They were so kind from the minute we booked. We left a bag there while we skipped to a different city for 5 days with no problem. When we checked in, we were greeted especially warmly as we were celebrating the end of our honeymoon. This was a wonderful way to celebrate the occasion. The hotel is modern and well appointed and very comfortable. It is a little further away from most of the hustle and bustle (10 min walk), but it was perfect for us as we were looking to be close but wanted to also enjoy a little peace and quiet.

• Chioma (8/5): - The property was very clean. The beds are small - twin size beds. I expected a double sized beds or a king size bed. Booked superior room with king size bed but was given regular room with twin beds the first night yet charged same amount for all 3 nights. Also when I booked on Expedia, the rate was lower than I was charged today.
• Sanjeev (6/5): - Hotel was decent ,location 15 mins by car or 25 mins walking to via del Corsa,or 10 mins in the car to the main centre… The check in was smooth ,and the night duty reception was also warm..except there was vibration in the floor and shakiness whenever a very heavy vehicle passed Infront of the building ..which was scary….housekeeping was efficient ..but at the time of check out,the hotel has already booked a taxi upon a confirming a day before which we had said no to..some miscommunication,I think owing the language clarity but the hotel lady was very oblivious to the fact that we had not booked it and said she had got this info…and said a penalty will be charged..not very hospitable…will not stay th second time..as it was jot clearly inbthe city x

• Ancuta (10/5): Exceptional - The rooms are very luxury and clean, the Windows are soundproof, so we could rest very well. The staff was very helpful with any request. We really loved our staying There was a sensor in the ceiling and every time it would detect movement it made a sound.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Hôtel correct - L'hôtel est agréable et propre ! Il se situe au centre historique. Le petit déjeuner propose jambon, fromage, yaourt, confitures, croissants. Si vous voulez des oeufs ou du lard, il vous faudra payer en plus ! Vu le prix du petit déj..... Surplus final : la taxe communale est de 12€ par jour. Aucun tri n'est effectué au sein de l'hôtel ou demandé aux clients ! De plus les lumières des balcons sont allumés automatiquement tous les soirs sans que le client ne puisse les éteindre. Quel dommage.

• Lidija (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was very friendly and we were offered an upgrade upon arrival. Room was really nicely decorated and everything was very clean. As a bonus you are also offered a complimentary drink so that was a nice touch!

• Marta (8/5): - Friendly staff, clean property, somewhat removed from the city center but close enough where it is still possible to walk about ~20 min or so to the main attractions. The traditional breakfast was not worth the €15 in my opinion.

• Kimberly (8/5): - Lovely 4 star boutique hotel. Terrific staff, the intimate dining area is great for breakfast, lunch and drinks. My room was efficiently decorated with a countertop desk area and chair, coffee machine and mini bar, great closet area and drawer space---the king bed was super comfortable! The bathroom is spacious with great shelving for personal care items.
• Kimberly (4/5): - No counterspace. Plugs didn’t work. Poor lighting. Small room. Hard bed, hard pillow. Long walk to everything. Area run down with trash and graffiti. Staff friendly and helpful.

The customer service is excellent!!! ... from the reception, bar/restaurant to the people from housekeeping. It has a parking for the clients and the gym is very well equipped. We will surely come back the next time we go to Rome.

Il personale si è mostrato molto disponibile e garbato. Molto comodo anche Garage convenzionato a pochi metri.
