Guest Reviews
- Erol (1/5): -
- Farrer (9/5): A great little boutique hotel in a fantastic area. I hope to stay here again on my next visit. - The breakfast was excellent and the location was very convenient for walking around and exploring the area. The bottom of the shower door wasn't fully sealed so water spilled onto the bathroom floor but it's such a minor issue that can easily be resolved.

- loriz (9/5): It felt like a boutique hotel... Super cute and fun - Very clean, cute, great staff, great location cute restaurant. Again AMAZING staff especially the front desk Spencer,Janice and GM Luis and housekeeping. They went above and beyond . Don't rent the bikes get an electric one !Buy food at the local places. The food is just ok the cocktails are great .
- Dean (8/5): Fun, because there is a lot one can walk to in the neighbor. - Fantastic courtyard restaurant with great food! I ordered breakfast, but in never arrived.

- stevekQ8581HV (10/5): Great experience and stay - I stayed here while working out in Culver City for a few days. The hotel is super cute and quaint. The stay is so friendly and immediately makes you feel welcomed. Davyd checked me in and was so wonderful. He was very knowledgeable and took such good care of me. Every time I needed anything he was so kind and pleasant. Also the restaurant next to the lobby was delicious and wait staff was also so kind and attentive. Would definitely recommend staying here. Thanks Davyd and staff for the great experience!

- tegwytha2024 (10/5): Great Hotel! - I absolutely loved this hotel. It was the perfect location for me and a great value too. It was a 20 min drive to LAX, so close to a lot of touristy spots, and there’s a coworking space a 5 min walk away for those who need that (I did). I also loved that there were a lot of restaurants within walking distance from the hotel - so if you don’t rent a car (like me) you have a lot of options without ubering! The rooms were so cute and clean and just what I needed. The staff was amazing. I want to shout out Bryan and Davyd. They were so helpful and courteous and just very kind!

- jeffwD7123JY (10/5): Comfortable and convenient. - Had a very nice stay. Staff, especially Davy d made our stay very nice especially when we decided to spend an extra day with you.
- princeaday01 (10/5): Best hotel for a lowkey business trip - Amazing environment and the staff team super friendly and respectful! Davyd is the best as well at the front. Helped in everything needed in the city.
- karlac499 (10/5): Great place to stay - Perfect location, great food, amazing experience, cozy warm hotel, totally recommend this place

- TravelswithJulie (7/5): Good location and price for Culver City. - It is ideally located, but some homeless people nearby, which is not unusual for LA. Clean bathroom which was well appointed for the most part. The location is good - steps away from cute downtown Culver City with shops, a movie theater and restaurants. The Simonette restaurant is very good though a limited menu. Bar is charming. At check in the hostess at first did not make eye contact, was very abrupt. I slowed down my speech and handed things to her very slowly until she looked at me. After that she was much more connected. Rooms felt motel-like, but clean. The price is good for West LA during the holidays.
- Chris (7/5): - Great location, walkable to shops and restaurants in Culver City. Charming lobby and decor. Comfortable bed. Hotel smells musty. Room was very small for LA, and the bathroom lacks privacy.
- mkrajan (8/5): Great boutique hotel in great location - Clean rooms. Love the restaurant. Burger is very solid. Great location. Extended checkout proactively. Would recommend.
- NorthStar09733370196 (10/5): Charming Boutique - Cute boutique hotel - has charm - lovey service - Davyd at the front desk was very kind - the bar made great coffe and drinks.
- Janet (7/5): - They charged $50.00USD and they just parked my car just right outside the hotel it wasn’t in a garage or parking lot
- T9640WOanthonys (6/5): Hard pass - Extremely small, bare room with low quality finishes (e.g., rough carpeting, lumpy floor, subpar bedding, etc.). I was actually shocked when I opened the door, considering the $400+/night rate. The only redeeming qualities of this hotel are the shower, bath products, and location. Otherwise, extremely overpriced. Would neither stay here again nor recommend.
- Lauren (6/5): Underwhelming - Front desk staff were very good. Diptique amenities a very nice touch. Location is great if you hate nightlife. Bartender will not serve a guest a nightcap at 10.03pm…sighting that the bar closed at 10pm…

- gabrielleponceti (10/5): Hidden gem - The restaurant is gorgeous and has great food and service. My room was cozy and clean. Overall I had a great stay! Dayd and Gonzalo were particularly helpful and kind.
- Angela (10/5): So lovely! We’ll be back! - The room was very clean and the decor is super cute. It’s a historic hotel that’s undergone a multi million dollar renovation so understand that and tamper your expectations. People that give this amazing place a negative review are annoying actually. It was a great experience. Oh and the food is divine.

- null (8/5): Extremely cute building in a fantastic location with solid rooms and great bed - The main cafe is so incredibly cute: a kind of indoor/outdoors with a huge tree covered with lights and surrounded by small tables. The room itself was clean and crisp albeit a bit spare, but the bed was extremely comfortable. My only complaints were that the light switches were very confusing; far too many for one small room, and I had a bit of a difficulty finding outlets for charging. Still, the location was fabulous, it was quiet and clean and I'd definitely stay there again creamer for morning coffee, actually labeled coffee vs. tea pods
- Lou Ellen (5/5): Our stay was OK. We had to park 1/4 mile away on the street. We had to request housekeeping. - The location was great and the room was clean. I feel they could have communicated better in regards to the parking situation and housekeeping.
- Xie (6/5): - Location is convenient. Near to metro and safe. The air conditioning is noisy during night. The soundproofing is bad. I could clearly hear people talking inside the room from the hallway.
The room is a bit small.
- Barbara (9/5): Very pleasant hotel. Would definitely stay here again. - Breakfast was excellent, though restaurant seemed understaffed. Staff overall was great. Would have liked better pillows.
- Branston (7/5): I won’t return due to parking issues - Close to everything, inside restaurant They took $100 deposit with was not told to me, also there is no parking other than valet
- Chieh-An (10/5): Great service and excellent entertainment nearby -
- FarAway10241056268 (10/5): Davyd was great. - The staff was very nice. Clean room. Good location. We enjoyed the stay and would come again next time we are in Los Angeles.

- Diana (10/5): Great location - Location was excellent. Just a few yards from Culver steps and coffee and bagel shops. Trader Joes just around the corner. Situated in a quiet side street so very peaceful. Lovely buzzy atmosphere in the bar and courtyard. Had a few cooling drinks there at lunchtime. One improvement would be storage space. Although the wardrobe was adequate the room did not have a single set of drawers for clothes. Had to live out of a suitcase. There is room for drawers but so much emphasis on the massive shower room. That was great however.
- Scott (8/5): Clean upgraded property with good staff in great neighborhood - Clean and good location
Front desk staff helpful
Spacious room Bathroom very old style
Room at end of hall
Somewhat cluttered near entrance to room
Far to talk from operating elevator
- michaelbN9550FF (10/5): 5 Star Experience - I stayed 3 days and the total experience was 5 Star. The room was cozy, spotless and the service was excellent. The bar/resturant was so inviting. The location is within walking distance of most everything. I will definitly stay again!
- Explorer12974937968 (4/5): Overpriced small room - Let’s start with pros:
Location can be a pro depending
So upon arrival per usual I’m given a valet ticket with the phone number and code to text when I need my car. The website doesn’t work. Go wait for valet to show up and wait for the car.
Room is so small and I was a solo traveler. I only had a backpack, a carry on and a check in sized suitcase. Well … there wasn’t much room to walk much less put the suitcases so the floor it was.
There are no drawers just 3-5 hangers in a very small closet a suitcase may fit in standing up but the safe is in there so you can’t do that. Then what fridge? The mini fridge with $13 water that you can get for $3-5 a block away at any store…?
House cleaning was terrible the carpets were dirty and no one ever came to change towels in 5N even much less the bed. Valet charged me ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS EXTRA “by mistake”. Okay no problem when can I get it back? “Overnight” no that was not true and I knew it wasn’t going to happen. It took the usual 3-5 business days to reverse which isn’t a fun time to have $1000 in limbo OVER THEIR ERROR when you’re alone and not even mid vacation. ALL I GOT WAS AN APOLOGY…thanks that you’re sorry?? I understand mistakes happen but a random false charge for $1000!?!?! Not even a coffee for compensation. I will not be staying here anytime soon again unless it’s a shorter stay and well minimum 2N stay. No the rooms with a patio are not much better. It’s a shared patio and the room might be just a liiiittle bigger. So throw everything on one side of the bed/room and walk around try not to hit or fall on items/furniture/luggage etc-
- Teri (10/5): Culver City Gem - Everything to like about this gem of a hotel. Great staff, great location, great food in the charming restaurant. Nothing
- A7579GAmattn (10/5): Worth every penny (or dollar) Pali Hotel is the place to stay.. - The staff is where this place really wins from the people on reception to the staff in Simonette Restaurant (& on the bar) you are made to feel entirely welcome. Special mention to Ian (restaurant/bar), David (reception) and the female manager (everywhere - sorry I forget the name).
This hotel ticks all the boxes. It is well located for all that Culver City has to offer. The room was spacious with a large shower and well stocked fridge and snack options. You were always met with a smile and pleasantries. I was fortunate enough to have a special vehicle during my staff and the valets were exceptional in ensuring it got safely located. This place had a great atmosphere. It represented great value for money, it’s not the cheapest but very well located. The staff took great care of the cleanliness of all areas, working throughout the day. My room looked in to the restaurant area and noise was minimal until this morning when they were fixing furniture after it had been raining. If you like lie ins you might consider another room choice.

- DavidV2355 (2/5): AVOID!! Worst ever - Absolutely Terrible Stay – Avoid Palihotel Culver City
I rarely write reviews, but this experience was so disappointing that it deserves to be shared. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that Palihotel Culver City has no respect for guest comfort or hospitality.
My room was impossible to rest in due to the constant loud noise from the restaurant and bar. You could literally hear full conversations and music blaring through the windows — it felt like trying to sleep inside the restaurant itself.
To make matters worse, the room had a strong, unpleasant odor that never went away — a mix of cleaning chemicals and stale air. When we tried to get help, we were told no manager was on site, and the receptionist we spoke to was incredibly rude and dismissive, showing zero empathy or willingness to assist.
For a hotel that markets itself as “boutique” and “stylish,” the reality is far from it. It’s noisy, poorly managed, and completely lacking in basic customer service. If you’re looking for a relaxing or even tolerable stay in LA, do yourself a favor and book anywhere else.
- Sarah (8/5): -
- Steven (6/5): - The room had a door leading to a courtyard and when I first checked in I realized that it wasn't fully locked, so other guests could have been able to enter had I not checked it before leaving for dinner. There was also a small crack at the bottom of the door which let in bugs when I had the lights on at nighttime. The bathroom floor is absolutely freezing and they didn't offer slippers, only a bathrobe. The bathmat for the floor and the towels were thin and small, I ended up moving the bathmat around the bathroom to keep my feet from freezing. There was a lot of light coming in from the windows around the room at night. The sound of the guests footsteps moving about the room above me woke me up each morning. Everything felt on the older and a bit musty.
- Megg (10/5): - A great weekend away!
- Jordie (10/5): -
- Sergio (9/5): - The decoration and ambient. Great! Small room with loud air con.
- Krista (8/5): A solid choice for a short stay, kind staff, within walking distance to bars and restaurants. - The property has a lot of character overall, and the location is great. The hallways had a musty smell, and my room in particular (117) was unfortunately directly behind the dumpster enclosure. I was only staying for a night, so I lived with it but if your stay is longer it might be worth it to upgrade.
- Sam (10/5): -
- Dominic (10/5): - Great
- 649leylaw (10/5): Excellent Service - Wow! Davye was amazing. Staying here was a warm human experience with creative designer atmosphere. Will definitely return!
- Tara (10/5): - Such a fun boutique property. Highly recommend!
- Anne (9/5): - Location! All was great
- daniel (8/5): -
- michael (8/5): Stylish city stay - The location was perfect. The room was comfortable The restaurant seemed to lack simple things at breakfast , like orange juice.
The housekeeping staff can be noisy
- Manal (10/5): -
- Manal (10/5): -
- Ellen (10/5): - The location is excellent. Walk to shops, restaurants, etc. . Parking around the hotel is permit only so this os a challenge but during the day, walk to public parking structures. Concierge only for overnight is pricey.
Really enjoyed my stay.
- Natasha (8/5): - The happy hour on week days is a great affordable option if you eat burgers. The rooms a small but nicely decorated. It's right off the main square so its still quiet. Not a lot of amenities but great for a staycation. We had a nice restful long weekend.
- Alissa (6/5): - Parking is $50 a night! Ridiculous. The Langham doesn’t even charge that much. They are gauging because they can - no other parking.
The rooms are TINY!! Breakfast was good. Woudlnt stay again.
- McEwan (10/5): - Super cute rooms, I slept like a baby. Loved the restaurant, it has a beautiful tree in the middle of it. Great food and cocktails. Location near the culver steps and shopping at the Platform was excellent! Would recommend!
- F2679EIvictoriar (6/5): Eh…Dark, Gloomy - I wanted to love this hotel. It’s in a great location, has a charming French bar and bistro…but the rooms (and I only saw 2 of them) are in dire need of an upgrade. The first one I was assigned to was tiny, (felt like a box), gloomy, musty and had a loud hum (running water?). Thankfully, the front desk found me another room. A little larger, but still gloomy. In any upscale-ish destination hotel, you should return to your room at the end of your day and feel excited, comforted, embraced by a little mini haven, whether it be luxury or a hip design. Thoughtful touches are not 2 bottles of a $13 water and a random selection of overpriced chocolates and chips. I mean, put some thought into it. I’ve spent many trips at the Ace in Palm Springs. It’s rough and tumble, quirky, but has a personality. The Pali needs to put a little love into their property.
- Alexander (8/5): - The AC system in my room was very loud, couldn't leave it on for long because of the noise. Had a similar issue last time I stayed as well.
- valentina (10/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): Quiet hotel location near the Culver City Steps - This is a very nice hotel a block from the Culver City Steps, with restaurants and a few play areas for kids. It's in a quiet neighborhood next to a school administration building and housing. The restaurant is very charming, sort of indoors-outdoors. The Palihotel is quite expensive, but was a bit cheaper than the closeby Culver Hotel, so that's why I chose it. I was surprised that there was no recycling bin for guests in such an eco-friendly city. It is also close to bus routes so that you can get all over the city and the beach in Venice. There is a Trader Joe's 2 blocks away, a good place to get snacks.
- Luisa (10/5): - Morning staff was slightly rude, and did not help when we asked
- Verified traveler (4/5): thanks, but no thanks - Room was nice/clean, but their “Garden Room” should be renamed “Restaurant Room” as: (a) 2 x lobby toilets are right outside your room door, and (b) there’s restaurant tables literally right outside your window, diners could be looking right in to your bed/room if don’t have your shutters closed. Cutlery & plates start banging around a few feet from your bed very early AM (particularly frustrating after a night of AC machines going off out there too). Also note that you can’t park within at least about 10 min walk of the hotel due to local resident parking zone, and the $50 valet parking is not available after about 10p apparently.
- S7340RSstevenm (10/5): Great location, great vibe, solid value. - Excellent location, just one block off the center of Culver City center. Good vibe, good value. Lobby bar & restaurant had a French theme and served great apps & drinks.
Our room was smaller than any cruise ship we’ve been on, but it was clean & functional.
- Lucy (9/5): Cute boutique hotel in the heart of Culver City - The location was perfect, surrounded by some great restaurants/sights/shops/bars. The shower was possibly the highlight of the room! Very little storage space (only 3 hangers in the closet?). The light system was a little confusing - I believe they are on a motion sensor timer?
- Taylor (6/5): - Started in Room 306 — weird energy. Moved to 106 and the bathroom door slammed open and shut all night. Remote ended up under the bed. Tapping came from the bathroom plexiglass. Not the window. Told the staff — they acted totally clueless. This place is haunted.
- Marc (10/5): Great place if you don't mind tight rooms - Everything was great. Only down side is the room was small, but it wasn't a big deal. I loved it.
- Oald_traveler (2/5): Would not stay again - Would never stay again. Rooms are noisy and face out into the dining area where people dine late and then you are awakened early at 5am when the dining staff sets up for the morning. AC in the room was loud as well.
- Lisa (9/5): - Staff, room, bar and restaurant, happening atmosphere parking, no parking
- Lisa (10/5): Great experience - Great location!
The hotel is very cool. Beautiful courtyard, bar, eating area with full restaurant and coffee bar. Very nicely done decor in rooms and comfortable. Great selection of drinks and snacks available for purchase in the mini fridge/room.
- Maryalice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Valenzuela (10/5): Great Location. - Location location locations Noise from the bar.
- Carlos (2/5): - Unsafe, rude staff, and unprofessional environment
I stayed at Palihotel Culver City and was threatened with the police by a rude front desk employee simply for asking for my room to be cleaned and for his name. The hotel did not feel like a safe place to stay, and it was uncomfortable to even host business meetings there—my clients didn’t feel comfortable either. I reported this to management and am still waiting for a meaningful response. I will follow up and update this review accordingly.
- Mark (10/5): - Thanks to Davyd, we were able to conclude our stay smoothly and nicely!thank you so much!
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (10/5): - I loved the staff, the hotel overall was so pretty. There isn’t enough parking close by available though.
- Fitzgerald (10/5): amazing -
- Julia (10/5): - Had an amazing stay at the Palihotel Culver City. The staff were outstanding and incredibly friendly. We absolutely loved the location. Walkable to restaurants, shopping and entertainment.
- Rich (7/5): Good -
- Alex (5/5): Passable -
- Michael (1/5): Good idea. Poorly executed - The location is great for Culver City. Not clean. Sent me to a dirty room. Soap was not filled old bottles of lotion that were used.
- Sandy (8/5): - Cute Room
- Violet (10/5): Summer stay in Culver City - Great location, friendly staff, aesthetic and comfy room
- Pearson (8/5): Short and sweet stay. Room was clean and contemporary. - Small boutique hotel in the heart of trendy Culver City, walking distance from restaurants and coffeehouses. Pricey valet parking and not enough space to accommodate hotel guests and diners/bar patrons. Light switches were a puzzle to figure out.
- Kelly (10/5): - Great hotel and service
- Fraser (10/5): Exceptional -
- dinesh s (10/5): - Excellent, ideal for introverts!
- Emma (10/5): Great place to stay and perfect location - Very clean and great location. Very good value for money also. Nothing
- Viviano (10/5): The Pali west end - The Pali hotel was perfect. Tucked away from the busy main streets yet only a few steps away from amazing restaurants, shops and theater.
The Pali Hotel restaurant was incredible. Elegant but casual with an open courtyard decorated to perfection. Awesome food served late with a drink menu to make anyone happy.
The Pali Hotel is also pet friendly with a skilled valet staff. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.
- Christine (8/5): Very good -
