Guest Reviews
- Katarzyna (10/5): Best place to stay in Athens if you want peace and good food. - I stayed at this place for a second time and I loved it. Great localisation, delicious breakfasts, comfy rooms. I highly recommend. All good.
- Gergely (10/5): Lovely apartment with excellent service - Very nice staff, always friendly and welcoming. They have been eager to fulfill all our requests regarding check-in, check-out and breakfasts - I truly felt they have been working on making our stay as pleasant as possible. The bar is lovely with an excellent kitchen, we tried it both for breakfasts and dinner (both can be chosen from a menu with a wide and delicious selection). The room is renovated with decent quality and it was cleaned daily during our stay. The apartments are close to the center (15 mins walk), next to major bus lines and the metro line is also nearby. I can absolutelty recommend this accomodation, if you visit Athens, will surely return should we visit the city again.

Busse halten unmittelbar in Hotelnähe.
- tobiasnh (7/5): - Very good location close to great local restaurants where locals actually eat. The nearby hill offered a nice break from the city. The breakfast included offered a good start to the morning. All in all the room was good and in a great location away from the touristy parts of the city, but a new bed would make the room much better. The room was a bit worn down and the furniture seemed cheap and was quite wobbly and needed a handyman to screw it all together. The bed was very shaky and noisy, and for some reason there was a green exit sign in the room lighting up your night of sleep.

- Jeni (10/5): My second stay at neratzia was just as amazing as the first! - Super cool and amazing breakfast
Metro vicinissima e Acropoli a 20 min a piedi.

- Peter (10/5): It was a huge pleasure - Everything, location, equipment, cuisine Matrace cold be stiffer,
- Heather (10/5): Exceptional little hotel in a great location, above a lovely bistro (and GREAT breakfast) - First of all - the staff were so friendly and helpful right from the start, and spoke perfect English. They let us store our bags for a few hours before the room was ready, and check-in was easy. Our room was so comfortable - very clean, a nice size, with a lovely little balcony. The beds were SO COMFORTABLE, it was great. Nice sized bathroom. The location as excellent too - we had stayed in Plaka/Anafiotika for a few days before this, but it was really nice to stay this area and get a taste of what 'real' Athens is like, with some really cool restaurants and bars. It's really close to Pnyx Hill (for a great view of the Acropolis), and an easy walk to the more touristy areas. The breakfast was great - I was expecting to be given a choise of a small number of things but we got our pick from the main Bistro breakfast menu, and the Greek Pancakes, Greek Eggs and Yoghurt Bowl were all delicious. We loved our stay, and would absolutely come back. A minor thing but it was very hard to get the shower in our room (A2) to a suitable temperature. It ran very cold for a long time, then - because we had turned up the temp in an effort to get it hotter - it went scolding hot and was hard to bring down again to a bearable temperature. Tiny movements of the dial produced huge swings in temperature. But other than that, it was fantastic.
- Johannes (9/5): Wonderful! - Very friendly staff, extremely comfortable bed, perfect breakfast and all very nicely decorated in a very nice part of town
- Marie (8/5): -
- Yinglun (9/5): Bed & Breakfast with a nice all-day restaurant in the heart of Athens! - excellent location, walking distance to everything, nice balcony view, good food and helpful staff only a very thin blanket on the bed and heater not really working, a bit cold at night in October
- Sorin (9/5): -
- Oleg (8/5): - Nice room and facilities. Friendly staff. Great breakfast.
- Dong (10/5): - Great property!. Very convinient to restaurants and key historical locations, all walkable. Management was very helpful from start through finish.
- Hana (10/5): -
- Stefanie (7/5): Great location but not the best sleep and service - Location and neighborhood are nice and quiet, about a 15 min walk to the Acropolis. The bed is very comfortable, the rooms are clean and there is a supply of coffee, tea and water every day. The owner is reachable by WhatsApp and happy to answer any questions. While the beds are comfortable, I didn’t sleep well at all as the room doesn’t get dark enough due to a bright shining emergency sign and street lights shining through. The reception is the bar underneath the rooms, unfortunately when I arrived the girls were very busy due to brunch/lunch time. As the room wasn’t ready at that time I decided to have lunch. I was being ignored for 30min before my order was taken while guests who arrived after me already got their food. Also be prepared to carry up your suitcase steep staircase without any help being offered.
- JOHN (8/5): A+ for the room and staff, B for the location (less important if you don't mind walking.) - Beautiful, clean room with a balcony and a nicer bath than our own. Restaurant/bar below was hip, trendy, always full of young adults (staff included). Food was great. And, the staff helped us deal with a potential airline/taxi/public transportation strike on the day we were to fly back to the states, by arranging a 4:45 a.m. taxi for us a day early (to avoid the strike). Staff spoke English very well. This place is quite a hike from some of the main tourist attractions in Athens, like the Acropolis and the Plaka neighborhood. It got old after about the third day, especially when bringing back groceries/snacks. Having a car wouldn't have helped because Athens is choked with cars already, and parking is an ordeal.
- Kelsi (10/5): - The front door to the hotel was a bit loud (slams shut) and could be disturbing at night when trying to sleep.
- Fabrizio (9/5): Amazing breakfast/bruch!! 😍 - The breakfast in the bistro downstairs was absolutely divine, a whole brunch at your disposal!!
The staff was super friendly too and the room was very functional and cute. To come back for sure!!
- Hugh (10/5): -

- Karim (8/5): -
- Kim (9/5): - very nice staff, excellent breakfast and drinks, the room has everything you need and is cute, very good spot to experience Athens by foot
Important to know: the rooms are on 1. or 2. floor with no elevator
- nathalie (9/5): -
- Jonathan (9/5): -
- Michael (9/5): Great stay easy in and out.nice rooms with AC would - Big rooms. beds were comfortable. Each bedroom had its own AC unit which made it very nice. bathroom marble finishes were very pleasing. No AC in hall or bathroom so they stayed pretty hot.
- Elisenda (8/5): Very good -
- Sara (10/5): Great spot in Athens. - Convenient location. Delicious breakfast and friendly staff.
- Emma (10/5): Lovely chilled the place, staff great, room nice and breakfast was great - Really nice two bedroom - great with our 20 year old daughter. Staff really friendly and helpful. Also amazing breakfast There isn’t a lift which was fine for us. Staff carried bags up but probably would recommend if stair are difficult for someone
- Joanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): Great area to stay - Very friendly staff,Comfortable and clean room with good sized balcony, great location, delicious breakfast and excellent music in the bar. Nothing
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- D (7/5): Mixed - Staff in associated bistro accommodating. Airco worked well. A fair walk to main sights (or bus). Our own fault but 1st night was in economy room that was a back packers' cupboard. Room for remaining nights was good. District not as bohemian as descriptions make out, really backpacker vibe.
- Cherie (9/5): Charming rooms in a great location. Friendly restaurant staff that will carry your bags up and down the Exorcist stairs - Convenient location, adorable decor. Would definitely rebook again. As posted by others, the location can be noisy. But surprisingly the noise wasn’t from the bar but from cacophonous birds that perched outside my window and from the all-day construction next door. But ear plugs are provided and noise is just to be expected from any hotel in an urban location. The breakfast was delicious but we only had a chance to enjoy it one morning out of our four day stay. We wish it started before 8:00 am as most city tours and day trips start earlier than that. Perhaps they could provide a to-go option with a pastry and coffee.
- Shonam (8/5): Overall it was a very pleasant stay. - Very nice breakfast. It was delicious. Staff were very friendly. WiFi was not very good. Connection kept dropping in and out. The facility needs lifts, especially to get all our big bags up.
- Godsey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (8/5): Vintage boutique hotel close to restaurants and tourist attractions where you feel part of the local vibe. - Convenient location, charmingly renovated and furnished, spacious bar and bistro downstairs, friendly and helpful staff No lift, quite noisy at night
- Christel (9/5): Excellent - Breakfast was rally good
- Katarzyna (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Athens - Localisation is great, calm neighbourhood, a lot of restaurants, cafes and bars. Close to Acropoli and metro station. Breakfast was delicious, several options to choose. Very good coffee! All was fine. I reccommend!
- Rebecca (9/5): Great stay 😌 - Lovely place to stay, very helpful and friendly staff , cafe/bar is lovely. Room was always cleaned well. Stayed with my teenage daughter and we always felt safe in the area and at the location. Would definitely stay again. N/a
- Bilal (10/5): Loved it , staff inclusive , especially Orestos and Zoge! - Loved the classic touch Small rooms
- Ieva (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location, very clean and nice room, breakfast was fresh and delicious😊
- Lesley (8/5): Very good - We especially loved the neighborhood and the cafe downstairs for breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was up two steep flights of stairs. Comfortable room, spacious.
- Franklin (9/5): Perfect Spot - I desperately enjoyed my stay at Neratzia Rooms! I arrived way before check-in, but they welcomed me right away since no one was in my room the night prior. This was super helpful since I was running on only 2.5 hrs of sleep. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, the staff was helpful without being super pushy, and the location was in a great/safe location. It's about a 25 min walk from the city center, or a 10 min cab drive. I stumbled across a local market on my first day, which had a lot of good produce. At night, you can tell it's a hot spot, but this didn't interfere with my ability to get a good night sleep. Not really a bad thing, but the water took a while to get warm. I'm assuming it's just due to the weather though.
- Viviane (9/5): Lovely bed and breakfast in a great location. - Location is excellent - Acropolis is 15 mins on foot and metro/tram is under 10 mins on foot. Room was clean and comfortable. Received a lovely welcome on arrival with a coffee. Lots of very tasty breakfast options from the bistro downstairs. Small supermarket and other shops practically next door. First floor room was a bit noisy due to the bar/bistro downstairs but ear plugs were provided.
- Sofia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marie (7/5): Friendly staff, clean , close to acropolis. - 15 min walk to acropolis ! The area itself is quite run down , lots of shops etc all closed .. restricted choice of any other restaurants & bars generally
- Pierluigi (8/5): Nice place to stay in Koukaki - Nice rooms located in a very cute area away from the chaos of the more touristy neighbourhoods. The staff is very kind and friendly. The bar downstairs, where they also serve the delicious breakfast, is very nice and lively at night. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The room doesn’t get fully dark due to a bright emergency exit sign that can’t be covered or turned off. Additionally, the window shutters don’t close tightly. Noise from the nearby bar might disturb light sleepers, but earplugs are provided for convenience
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Great location -close enough to major sights and public transportation, but not in a totally tourist area. Great bar/restaurant downstairs.
- Sunny (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Heather (9/5): Superb - The location was great, felt safe in the neighborhood, and the room was clean and comfortable! We would definitely stay here again in the future! The TV didn't have a lot of channels but that's okay!
- Sandra (10/5): Best stay in Athens - From a great location to the friendly staff, everything was perfect. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was so filling! We came back to the restaurant a few times as it was just high quality. The size of the room was just enough. On the weekend it got a bit loud at night, because we were just above the bar. Nevertheless, it wasn't too noisy. They also already foresaw earplugs, which we never had had before in a hotel, so that was very kind!
- Aaron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Márica (8/5): Very good - The location is great, personnel is very gentle, and the bistro just below has amazing food and serves a delicious breakfast.
The room was clean and had everything needed. At night, it can get a bit noisy
- Eva (9/5): The only place you should stay in Koukaki. - The rooms were spotless, very comfortable beds and nice big bathroom, great shower. The breakfast was delicious but the highlight was the staff - they were so helpful, kind and generous when we needed some coffee and water! You are also a 2 minute walk away from all of Koukaki’s best bars and restaurants! Nothing
- Kim (9/5): Superb - Love the cafe/bar downstairs… staff there were awesome!! Food was great..
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Very clean comfortable room. Great staff, good value for Athens, only 1.2 kilometers from the Acropolis. Plenty of restsurant options in the area. Lots of cabs, bus and trolley car transportation options. Very good breakfast. Very busy neighborhood with numerous bars, cafes, and restaurants. Lots of loud traffic but our room seemed insulated from the activity on the street. Bathroom needs shelves and more wall hooks.
- Nadia (10/5): Amazing & vibrant stay few steps from everywhere - Style in a great hood, not too touristy. The bistro is nice, good vibe & nice food - breakfast. Breakfast was awesome but could start earlier than 8am.
- Jeni (10/5): Best holiday breakfast ever - Absolutely gorgeous rooms. Plenty of space.
- Diana (9/5): Superb -
- Vasiliou (10/5): Comfort in a classic Athenian renovated building in the center of Athens - Beautifully renovated building, excellent rooms Nothing
- Jane (8/5): Very good -
- Dana (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel is situated atop a beautiful bistro, in a walkable destination to all the sights and local tavernas. The staff is lovely and welcoming. Our room was comfortable and relaxing. I enjoyed everything about our stay!
- Jakub (10/5): Great place within a walking distance from most of Athens' attractions - Great little boutique hotel in a very good location. Super clean room. Friendly and helpful staff. All you might need literally at the doorstep (a supermarket and a number of restaurants, bistros, sweet/pastry shops). Close to Acropolis (10-15 mins on foot). Safe and nice neighborhood.
Breakfasts are simply...E P I C!
Highly recommended. No lift in the building, but the staff offered to carry the luggage. The rooms facing the side street could get a little noisy on some evenings due to the music played downstairs - earplugs found in the drawer were a bit of a mystery at the beginning, but actually found their use (my wife did not need them though).
- Nirali (9/5): Comfortable stay - The room was clean and pleasant to stay in. Location was 10-12 mins walk to Acropolis and lot of good restaurants once you are at Acropolis. which was great as I was visiting for touristic purposes. The bistro was great and had excellent breakfast (included) and also other options for lunch/dinner. The food was also very good.
The staff was very helpful and also arranged airport pick up on arrival (extra cost) The light curtains allowing street light at night to penetrated the room
- Kristina (10/5): Great place to stay in Athens - Large well appointed rooms and very comfortable beds. The breakfast was beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Natasha (10/5): A wonderful stay in the heart of Athens with amazing staff - Great location with a fantastic bistro beneath but the most amazing part of our stay here was the staff! Kind, friendly, helpful and so accomodating. As long as there is room available, I will be staying here every time I return to Athens! Nothing
- Mary (8/5): Very good - breakfast space, staff and food/coffee room decor and details were a little off in terms of style but clean and comfortable nonetheless
- Cohen (9/5): Superb - Great Caffe for the breakfast. No real hotel facilities - just the caffe below and the rooms above.
- May (10/5): Would highly recommend Neratzia Rooms - The management and staff at Neratzia rooms were absolutely exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble, the decor was lovely and room well maintained and clean.
It’s conveniently located close to all the major attractions. Breakfast in the morning was delicious!
- Cann (9/5): Great little hotel right in the heart of Athens. The staff are great - always friendly and helpful! - Great location and a real taste of Athens. It was all great, this is our second stay.
- Douglas (10/5): Our regular stay in Athens - The new extension downstairs in the café bistro Sweetened almond milk in the vegan cappucino
- Kia (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable bed, super central location, very spacious room and easy checking. The breakfast included with the room next door at the bistro was SO DELICIOUS! Yannis and his team were so so nice and helpful
- Richardson (10/5): Within walking of fantastic neighborhoods and sights, safe and clean room with amazing breakfast - The staff was so nice, calm, friendly. The room was well air conditioned. We loved that. The bathroom had new features, lovely shower, and was very clean. The breakfast was truly amazing — better than any we had anywhere else. Delicious Greek pancakes and yogurt bowls. Wow! We could hear the bar noise at night but it was fine with a noise machine.
- Angela (8/5): Very good - Location.
Breakfast. Early check-out at 7.00am so missed breakfast.
- Daniela (9/5): Superb - The breakfast is exceptional!!
The staff is super nice and friendly. The bed was too soft in my opinion.
The air conditioner is not sufficient in the hot days of the summer.
- Patti (9/5): Superb - The minute we got there they offered us a coffee and tea. And our room was ready early.
- Georgina (8/5): Very good -
- Georgina (8/5): Very good -
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful reception from the moment we arrived. Great food and very welcoming staff. We would love to return here when we return to Athens.
- Galirosinnesgmail (9/5): Superb - The rooms are very clean and the location is great. The small bistro is excellent and the breakfast there is included and very generous. The stuff is helpfull and kind. There is a beautiful market there on Fridays, so mind that if you get there on a Friday, the road to the hotel will be blocked and you will have to walk (a very short distance). I loved the place and will stay there again.
