Guest Reviews
- Mohanad (6/5): - المكان من داخل هادي وحلو جداا بس عيبه الغرف ضيقه هلبه مش مناسبه لاقامه للامانه غير مريحه ف المساحه
- Helene (4/5): Poor stay - I was given a room without light in bathroom. Then was given the 2nd room without shower ( box room with the head of shower just behind the tiny room where there were a sink & toilet). Then when I asked to change again they said sorry you change already twice...it was only when I really insisted & wasn't happy at all that I wad given the 3rd room a bit better than the first 2 rooms. I was feeling so depressed & nearly cried! After flushing the toilet, it made a very loud noise for a while, the small fridge kept also making loud noise ever now & then, no water given on arrival or in room. The water from shower faded away after a while. The pillow was too high. I asked for an invoice ( receipt) for the shuttle ($25) from airport to hotel but I wasn't given one ( while I was told via email that I could get one) when I booked the room. I could hardly sleep because of the noisy fridge even using my earplugs
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Perfect stuff and advice for along stay

Located in the dawn town which is good for transportation, and intersting walking.

- Verified traveler (2/5): - Easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. To get to this hotel you have to go down a sketchy ally. I get in and someone I guess had used my room as a smoke break because there were ashes and tobacco all over my bed and night stand. There were stains on both beds and pubic hair on them. The “shower” is over the toilet. Do not be fooled by their pictures. The pressure is awful. I was using the sink and the drain on the ground started bubbling up and overflowing with black (I’m really hoping) dirt. One of the towels had blood on it. I left and came back for the day and someone had used my bathroom, even though I marked do not disturb. Glad I literally took all of my belongings because I doubt anything would have been left. Would not be surprised if I became sick or infected after this place. On my last night here I went out and came back late to my bathroom COVERED in what I can only, again, hope is just dirt, and everything soaking wet. Pretty sure the streets of Maadi would have been cleaner. AVOID AT ALL COST.
- Talina (8/5): Small but modern - Everything was good. Had trouble finding the hotel... it’s at a dingy dead end... but when you open the hotel door it’s great. Modern and clean. The rooms are on the small side, but decent.
- Paul (4/5): - Many aggressive hustlers in neighborhood. Taxi driver demanded 50 usd after 20 usd Farr was negotiated. Hotel employers let him harass me. Staff didn’t inform me about breakfast which was was supposed to be included. So
E amenities listed not actually there
- Keith (8/5): Good, no-frills hotel in Downtown Cairo - First, if you're looking for the hotel, it's a bit in the back and on the left side when looking for it on the street. This is a basic, no-frills hotel located in Downtown Cairo, right within walking distance of Tahrir Square. The staff was very nice, but spoke very limited English, so keep this in mind. My room was clean and comfortable. The wifi was not consistent on my phone and faded at some points.
The rules about guests are very ambiguous -- I invited someone to my room very briefly to retrieve something and we were followed by a staff person who knocked on our door. Otherwise, no complications.
- Fred (8/5): - The experience at Miramar was good.... Great location...
The entrance was not impressive..... But once inside the doors.... It was very nice and the people were very helpful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Great location. Helpful staff but most of them do not speak good English. Very basic room.
We booked their airport shuttle but they did not turn up and we were forced to arrange a taxi to the hotel.
- Anderson (10/5): - Great
- victor (10/5): Buen hotel todo cerca - Muy bien lugar en el centro a 8 minutos del museo del Cairo
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location was central and transportation was easy to reach.
- Kendall (2/5): Hotel pics are deceptive - The rooms are extremely small, cramped and dirty. The images of the hotel do not accurately depict what you actually get.
- Sam (10/5): Middle of the action - Perfect spot if you want to be in the middle of the craziness of Cairo. Noise from the outside was minimal but could sometimes could be loud from inside the hotel. We were usually too tired from exploring during the day to mind. Airport pickup was very smooth and the front desk was very helpful in whatever we needed. Continental breakfast was surprisingly filling. Recommended place if you aren't a super light sleeper and want to be amongst the organized chaos of Cairo. Bonus that the Bellies en Route food tour meeting spot is right around the corner.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - property is down a dodgy looking alley
employee insisted i had not yet paid, i showed proof of payment and still had to argue to make sure they didn't charge my card
tv didn't work
bathroom wasn't clean and smelled like sewage
- AHMED (8/5): GREAT TIME AT MIRAMAR DOWNTOWN - I had a good stay at Miramar. Quiet, clean, budget friendly, good location in the centre of the city with shopping stores all around you.
The television service need improvement. Most of the stations are Arabic speaking. For English speaking guests that dont understand Arabic, it is a minus. At least the english news channels should be available. Secondly, the breakfast need some improvement. Its the same menu everyday. Which is a bit boring. But generally, i enjoyed my stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - great staff and location next to tahrir square and cairo tower. wifi excellent will return when back in cairo ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was acceptable but not waw
- Donna (10/5): What A Pleasure!! - Hotel Miramar was such a pleasant hotel!!!The facilities are beautiful and clean, AND you get personal help from the staff for anything you may need. I was promptly picked up at the airport upon arrival by their friendly driver. I didn’t have an adaptor and they provided one. Any directions or assistance I needed with anything was provided. On the third floor, they have a nice lounge area with drinks and snacks.
The location could not be more perfect if you want to be in the heart of Cairo with all the sites and a true neighborhood feeling of Cairo, which is exactly what I wanted! The Egyptian people are incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful just like the staff at Hotel Miramar. Hotel Miramar is a true gem in beautiful Cairo!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff are very friendly and they offered us a late check out for free, and we really enjoyed the surrounding area
