Guest Reviews
- Lott (1/5): Owner should post more realistic photos of the the toilet / shower facilities - Honestly nothing It seems to be a low budget long-term local rental property, which is worth knowing before you book. During my stay I found: no towel or bedding provided beyond a cigarette burnt dirty mattress cover, significant road noise through thin walls, mosquitoes in the room, and the shared bathroom had no working lights, visible mould, and presence of insects. I photographed these conditions. The street it was on also felt uncomfortable to me personally at night.
When I raised my concerns with Booking.com and shared photos, the owner became confrontational. In my opinion, the listing photos did not reflect the actual condition of the facilities, which are in much need of maintenance. I'd suggest booking a short stay before deciding to stay longer.

- rachel (10/5): The host is very nice and helpful -
- Theodosios (10/5): Nice peaceful stay - The man who works there and owns the place is amazing. Everything was okay. It was going to be great if there was hot water on the showers.
- Andygo84 (2/5): - economico tutto! incredibile che booking offra dei posti cosi.. Comunque spero che gli anziani li stiano sempre bene! MEGLIO SE NON CONDIVIDO LE FOTO
- alan (10/5): - Mr. ANURAK is so sweet, kind, considerate, generous, attentive to possible needs, informative, friendly, hospitable, thoughtful, and all round good and honorable man. Leaving
- Felipe Ramon (3/5): - The location is good. The place it's in bad shape, showers and toilets are very dirty, no hot water. There is a lot of old and sick people living there. It's a very very low budget place to stay. The owner is nice, but the place and people living there doesn't make it any comfortable stay. Bed are very hard and no blankets are provided.
- Oleg (6/5): -
- Kari (10/5): - Nice guesthouse friendly host good strong wifi. All good
- Jet (9/5): Gastvrij - De eigenaar van de homestay was heel vriendelijk en gastvrij Het bed was vrij hard, maar dat is het enige. Verder erg tevreden.
- Shane Osgood (10/5): Friendly, Quiet, Convenient and Cheap - The owner is very friendly and accommodating. If you are not a snob, the place has everything you need. Washing machine, fan, shower, western toilet, good internet, parking if needed, beer in fridge (same price as 7-11). The local market is just across the street and the famous Indy night market is a short bus trip away, right down the road. This place is also very quiet because it is off the road and void of the party crowd.
- Michael (6/5): only good in the first days, the personal washing facilities could need some improvements - I liked the fast internet connection, the cheap price The cleaning possibilities
- Adil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thulasitharan (8/5): Good place to stay in budget - It was okay. The person managing it is very experienced and also very informative.
This is a place for just crashing with low Budget. All places are accessible from here. Big C is very close to it.
- Trong (7/5): Good -
- Ethan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Steve (1/5): Bad - Nothing Its the most dirty guesthouse that I had ever been in, my room was like something out of a horror movie, if you look at the one picture they give,it looks like some bus station somewhere it's probably because you can't get a good picture anywhere there
- Reinhard (10/5): Living like the locals. Read what they offer (so that you have wrong expectations) ! - You stay in a traditional local building with shared bathrooms/toilets! Fan was enough for me. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Parking in the closed yard for the motorbike is extra. Owner rents also scooters. Ice cold drinks to 7eleven price ! I knew that the mattress where hard...I personaly would prefer softer, but still was possible to sleep well enough. Recommended for living close with the locals.
- Mike (1/5): Uncomfortable like live in someone's home for free - 1:I can stand the electric fan inteading of air conditioner.,but it's a little bit cold in early morning, No shared kitchen,No electric pox 1: I can stand the heat with electric fan, but I can't stand no hot water to shower, outdated toilets for men, no electric kettle to make hot coffee and tea.
2:They offer hot water to drink by owner's kitchen.
We are not separated from guests from owner themselves, I felt like I live in their house for free uncomfortablely. That's why I come to Thailand for shopping an inexpensive condo for myself.
3:I spend $800THB by taxi to arrive to next Sabrina Club (as:confirm No:4603,767,203 oin:3478)I was allowed to stay 1 night, the boss came from Mainland China, he shouted at me, and tried to beat me, I called to cops of Lat Phrao Police station, it didn't work anyway, I spent taxi fee get to the polce, they want me transferred email to paper, and translated English into Thai, I made it via another hotel's wifi, and taught them connect cell phone to print it out with paper document from A4.They made too many mistakes in paper they gave to me, including my sex, I am an old femal, and my expired date of passport, Sabrina hotel was replaced by a Happyland Hotel, an useless paper, I use wifi of the hotel, use Google translated Thai into English, that's why I can understand what's the paper talking about. I am so tired since I came to Thailand, while slept in Anurak, other people there, smoking, and ran a business for repairing motorcycle with smoke and loud sounds .People wrote nice reviews, because they have relationships with owner, Thay all from Mainland China.
The owner of Sabrina hotel kicked me out, and tried to beat me, he said You Booking.com took the money, Sabrina Club didn't take any money, other guests they all very fine to check in except me.
They all accept briberies for free plastic surgeries and injections to higher their noses and height , including Taiwanese in Taipei Economic in Thailand, and stolen money came from My invoices for consumers to shop in Taiwan, I hit the jackpot 2-3 times.
- Colli (10/5): Exceptional - The host Anurak is an amazing and well travelled person , he helped me to rent a scooter and advised me about some places to visit, he is always there for his guests, his place is in a very convenient location , close to Many restaurants , street food, gas station , Seven eleven , atm, big shopping centre and everything you need , I would recommend this place specially if you are a solo traveler and want a chill and authentic place to stay , thank you, Anurak !
- Stolfi (10/5): Exceptional - The owner is very nice and he will help you with everything you need. The neighborhood is a local place with markets, parks and river and still close from the BST krung thonburi (30-40 baths with a motorbike). I highly recommend if you like the local Thai lifestyle 🇹🇭
- Chapman (7/5): Good for the price you get. - Fan was amazing. Owner really polite and friendly and helpful with my needs Water ran out when I was brushing my teeth but this was only once in one of
The bathrooms. Other bathrooms were fine. No elevator so if you have a lot of luggage be prepped to bring it
Up the stairs because you may have an upper room
- Renato (10/5): Exceptional - * simple but clean room and facilities
* location close to a main road where you can catch buses to many locations within bangkok.
* stable wifi (99% of the time), i only had to reset my wifi connection 1 or 2 times during 2 weeks, thats very stable for bangkok standards and you will have a hard time getting a more stable connection at other places I didnt have anything to complain and I dont really know what to improve.
- Sajjad (1/5): very bad experience. - Toilets are very old. Toilets has no toilet roll and only have water to use with mugs. Mattress are very uncomfortable.
Only table fan is available. No shower.
- Nay (8/5): Very good -
- Melania (7/5): chill and cheap - the owner was a nice guy who really was trying to make sure everything is good. for this cheap price i think everything was as it should could have been cleaner
- Muhammad (7/5): Good -
- Meph1766 (8/5): Very good - Good price and responsive owner
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional - The host was very attentive and always asked if I needed anything! Very helpful.
- Danydgmdc (10/5): Exceptional - 100% satisfied, I recommend this place. Nice service, great resort and beautiful views.
- Trong (8/5): Very good -
- Eval (10/5): Budget friendly stay with locals - Firstly, dont pay too much attention to bad reviews...
You get what you pay for. Its still bargain for what you get considering its capital.
Owner is simple and honest man, he was chasing me worried asking If I wasnt charged twice from my card after paying in cash, that tells something..
Everyone has their own ways and especially when we get older so respect and tolerance is required here.
Overall its a lovely simple budget friendly place where locals live in quiet neighborhood so
you get authentic experience for small fee.
Recommended for budget travelers and whoever plan to stay longer in city.
You get discount if staying longer and not using booking.com..
Its a bit further away, but you can use Indrive app (Uber alternative) to get to sites..
Good internet speeds, clothes washing for1$. Big C mall, Seven/eleven nearby with great local restaurant (by petrol station).
Thanks Anurak for care and pleasant stay 🌴🫶🤝✌️🚲🙏
- Prasanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kiddle (1/5): Bad - Nothing. The vendor touched me up. The aforementioned
- Aiden (10/5): Exceptional -
- Isabelle-angelina (7/5): Its a basic homestay runned by nice elderly people - cheap price and close to night market, a big mall and bus station I dont want to complain because it was very basic, I find it quiet hypocritical to expect super luxury then. If you re okay with very basic accomodation and you re also somebody who is using earplugs because you re not at home, its totally fine
- Eddie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jere (1/5): Thief - Not recommended. The downsides far outweight the positives. The owner is a thief. I went to visit the toilet and didn't lock the door since the owner was meditating just outside my room. When I came back the man, my credit card and 1000-2000 baht was missing which I remember leaving on the bed before I left. He of course denied everything and will likely continue doing so since there clearly is no spine supporting this guy. Well done.
- Mukhutdinov (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tóth (4/5): Quaint place, real hillbillies - It's a real disappointment the rooms facing the Shabu buffet place was very noisy and loud, except no air-conditioning, rooms are depressing old walls are dirty and the bed mattress feels like a sheet of plywood so hard no blankets,no running hot water ,coughing smokers next door..... The only think I liked Big C was across the street and the market nearby, hard to find it if you arrive late no lights to see the sign in the evening
- Coraian (7/5): Good -
- Romano (6/5): Pleasant - Cheap privat room. Nice Local Area with less foreiner. Mosquito outside
- Christine (7/5): Good - Quite area with food market, restaurant and big supermarket close by. Single room not sharing. All good, I got what I was expecting.
- Sofia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynette (3/5): Don’t do it - No breakfast The owner tried to be helpful
- Sönke (10/5): Exceptional - Super nice host, he will make you feel like you are family.
Rooms and toilets are a bit barebones, but incredible value for you money.
- Miyuking (1/5): Mad - Host lady was kind. Save money. Everything.
- Miyuking (1/5): Bad -
- Miyuking (1/5): Bad -
- Miyuking (2/5): Regret - Host was friendly only at the first time Ive met. Location, is not good actually If you wanna use nearest train by walk 40mins, and it's triple expensive than metro. If you wanna use bus, you can't avoid cloudy and congestion in center.
After complaining about the room located next restaurant, host got mad ? completely changed the first attitude I've known about him, not nice. When he took me new room , the next door was open I saw inside cuz just I passed there in front, then he got mad "don't look at , privacy" then he let me see the window then "don't make step sounds!! people sleeping" it's around 10am. Then I accepted the new room, came back to noisy room for packing, he came to my room soon like... In 3mins? "hurry next customer come ". Just so frustrated. He has no matter being a good host. It's just his fault let me get in the noisy room next restaurant which staffs washing dishes loudy and talking till 2am. He should have known the room was noisy. Anyways the room has no sheets bed and so sticky, like man's head. it's so hard to sleep but I was tired at the time. And the bed was so hard, I have never been relaxed. It's almost the pipes stuck in my body. Two room same so hard corrupt old bed. And when I put my cup ice cream into refrigerator, it's gone next day. I think the host threw it. I remember he introduced the fridge. And hot wafer, evertime he asked me if I used it or not to turn off for saving energy for himself. it's so annoy. just leave me alone, I have never had relaxed in front of him. Anyone says he is a good English speaker really? If so he is pretty rude every time he said " I can't hear you I don't understand" repeatedly stupidly.
Always to everyone. Sounds really bad.
Bathroom is too bad. It's never mentioned that the shower is only cold water when I was booking. its smelling and you can't avoid to hear others sounds. People taking shower sounds coming to your room.
- Olivia (10/5): Perfect - Location was totally ok, for that price. Will always come again
- Igor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emmanuel (8/5): Very good -
- Yun (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matthew (8/5): Very good -
- ฐิรวัฒน์ (7/5): Good -
- Gennady (8/5): Very good -
- Amol (7/5): basic guesthouse for cheap price - very basic guesthouse, rooms without ac though fan is provided. Wi-Fi is available. few options to eat close by, bus stop on 5 minutes walking. Owner of guesthouse is helpful.
I needed the place only to sleep in the night since I was doing day trips around Bangkok so if you looking for fun activities it’s far away from activities happening places.
I did slept good at this place for 3 nights no noise to disturb. doesn’t have hot water for shower. didn’t see any microwave for heat the food
- David (4/5): Disappointing - The owner is nice and tries to help as best he can. The facilities are very basic (pipe from the ceiling or bucket with ladle for the shower, for example). It's fine for backpackers user to roughing it but not for those who need a basic level of comfort. Beds and pillows are stone hard. Very noisy at almost all hours and the heat is not helped much by the table fan. The neighborhood itself is quite dreary and not of much interest and transport options out of it are limited. Honestly I don't understand all the rave reviews - yes the owner is nice, but a place needs much more to make it worth staying.
- Mohammad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yvonne (10/5): Thai living - Love anurak and his guesthouse
Great price for authentic thai living in Bangkok
He is very helpful
It was my second time in his house Nothing bad to say
- Aristide (1/5): Bad -
- Svetlana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Claudiu (10/5): Exceptional - the friendliest welcome ever. the host is always at your disposal and there to help with any questions.
I would highly recommend this place looking for great value. everything was very well
- Girish (8/5): Very good - It's a good place for a long stay
- Luke (5/5): Passable -
- Marius (10/5): … - … :)
- Inspiration1001 (2/5): owner is nice - The bathrooms are not clean, the bed and pillow are so hard and also old. It is inconvenient to use, too noisy from the street and restaurant.
- Yun (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, friendly and helpful owner, very clean, and great value
- Nagri (10/5): Best budget stay in Asia what I have had - Anurak is just amazing! Great service, he is doing literally everything for his guests. And we had birthdays on the same day! Anurak, I wish all the best for you, stay as you are 😀 It's so homy there, I loved everything ❤️
- Yunchong (4/5): Not good. - The location is okay. The hygiene is not good, and there is no hot water to take a shower. The sound outside is noisy.
- Blatter (5/5): all in all, they should have a room for women not just mix room. I will difinitely recommend this hostel if they can sep - I guess the living room. I believe they should check the shower room because it isn’t that safe to use it.
- Elizalde (10/5): Exceptional - Fine and ok for me.
- Romigio (8/5): Very good -
- Elaiyaraja (9/5): Superb -
- Ashutoshdhamale (10/5): Definitely recommend - Absolute value for money while on budget.
Owner is very helpful, guided very well,
Due to flight delay, I arrived at place quite late around 1.30am, but he helped me check-in without any problem.
Place is also well connected with the city, bustop 3 mins near the mall. Nothing
- Ryan (5/5): if the bedding was clean and the shower facility was slightly better the. it would be great for the money. it didn’t cos - the staff were great. couldn’t fault the guy. really nice man and spoke great English. the bedding wasn’t clean. although it was super cheap and relatively central in Bangkok it needs to have a clean bed.
- Stephen (9/5): A simple welcoming hostel. The best available for those on a budget. - Host does all he can to make people welcome, and is constantly on hand seeing if there is anything else he can do to make people welcome and comfortable. No complaints- you won't find better for this price anywhere in BKK.
- Werner (8/5): - alles ok. ich war nur eine Nacht
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Despite its cheap price, the place was a bit better than tolerable.
