We stayed at the hotel a few days and were stuck with bad service, the breakfast was very minimal with only a few ingredients. Also the room was not clean enough and there was noise.

• AR1200 (8/5): A good choice - The location of the hotel is very good. It is within walking distance from the tram and bus station. The tourist attractions such as the blue mosque and the Top Kapi palace are easily reachable by tram and even by walking at a 15-20 mins distance. Rooms are spacious and tidy. washrooms are clean. We booked 2 rooms, and the room for 3 adults was quite spacious. The only drawback is that the hotel is located at a height and 15-20 stairs are there to climb to reach the hotel. the staff helps to carry the luggage to and from the hotel, however when you reach the back hotel after a long walk, it feels a bit difficult to climb the stairs. Breakfast is ok. The hotel is also near a good shopping palace.
• AlBaloch (2/5): The cleaning lady was extremely rude - We happen to leave some peanut skins on the floor. The cleaning burst into our room furious and was extremely rude over the apparent ‘mess’ we had left on the floor. She kept shouting in Turkish. Please avoid this hotel. Amir Khan

The room is in unsatisfactory condition, the door lock could not be closed from the inside, the TV remote control was so dirty that it was impossible to pick it up, the sheets were torn. I understand that the hotel has a lot of guests, but its a 4-star property and at an average price in this area, so i believe that the management should bring the room and overall the service back to normal condition,especially in the current situation in the world.

• Iain (8/5): Ok stay for the price range - We were attending the Istanbul half marathon and the hotel is walking distance to Yenikapi for the start line. The marathon start process was delayed so we asked if we could have a delayed check out, we were told this would be 15 Euros for 2 hours but 1 hour was ok, lukcily I ran faster than expected so we only needed the hour but it seemed steep. Check in took a little while and felt unfriendly, it was about 5 minutes before we were acknowledged. Breakfast was ok, standard Turkish pre-prepared plate. We nopticed dozens had been made and placed on the side waiting for people to come down rather than set up fresh. My partner saw it and decided to just buy breakfast elsewhere. The room was nice although the bed was softer than i usually like. The view through the window was the space between the buildings and looked like a dump. All being said the price was 27 pounds so 5 stars was not expected. If I needed that area again i would consider staying.

The decor of the room matched that as advertised, this was very important to us as this was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. The hotel is perfectly located for access to both tram and metro stations. It is also just a few minutes walk from the high street where you will find a large range of eateries and shops. We had a very enjoyable stay and even on the last day when we had checked out and were waiting in reception for our taxi to arrive, the friendly porter offered us tea and coffee, small gestures mean a lot. Great staff, great service, highly recommended hotel. Would definitely stay there again.

• nerminaj2020 (10/5): Istanbul 2020 - I've been at this hotel for five nights in the past few days. The hotel is amazing, the best of all the hotels I have stayed in Istanbul. The rooms are comfortable and very clean, with large beds and lots of mirrors 😇. We got clean towels and new soaps every day. Breakfast there is very plentiful and delicious. All employees are very nice and kind, they helped us in everything we need. The hotel is in a great location, close to the main street and tram and metro station (about a 3 minute walk to Aksaray, and a 5 minutes walk to Yenikapi), but it is also in a quiet place, without noise during the night. I will absolutely stay at this hotel the next time I visit Istanbul.

Acceso complicado por la gran cantidad de escaleras. El personal de recepción es amable pero con inglés poco fluido. Habitación amplia y limpia, cama cómoda. Desayuno poco variado y con un café terrible. Se les solicitó cama de matrimonio desde hotels.com y entendieron camas separadas. Nos pusieron en una habitación triple con las camas separadas, cosa que resolvieron juntando dos camas. Lo mejor del hotel la camarera de pisos, amable, educada y que limpiaba francamente bien..

The room was clean and the people at the reception were very kind and helpful. The shower also has plenty of hot water. Breakfast was also good. The tram and metro stations are close, and all directions including the Sultanahmet district, the Grand Bazaar and the new city are well-accessed, and I was able to enjoy Istanbul. I want to stay here the next time I come to Istanbul.

Breakfast was good, the staff were friendly and really helpful, the hotel is located near the tram station and is within walking distance from all the sights. I will definitely stay there again.

The Maids cleaned the room spotless daily, and the comfort levels were incredible. The breakfast is 5 star and the variety available is incredible The staff at the hotel are extra friendly especially Mr Sehmus. I would defiantly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to the old part of Istanbul. The hotel is literally a few minutes walk from the famous blue mosque. Great hotel and service defiantly 5 Stars from us!

• P8706QGalia (10/5): The Best location of Istanbul. - When I visited to Istanbul in January,with one of my Greek friend,we stayed at Grand Marcello Hotel in Laleli.The location was very close to the old town and all the historical places.It was just walking distance everywhere like Sultanahmet,St.Sophia,Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazaar.There were hundreds shopping centers next to the Hotel.The most important thing was, it's very close to the public transportation like Tram and Metro stations.Tram is only 70 meters far and Metro station 250 meters far from the Hotel.You can arrive to Airport or Otogar only with one way Metro.It takes only around half an hour from the Airport to Yenikapi metro station.It was brand new Hotel and affected us it's cleaning.The staffs're really very helpful and smiling.The breakfast was the rich and large.If we visit to Istanbul again,absolutely we will stay Grand Marcello Hotel again.Thanks to Havva Hanim who made our reservation in this Hotel.

• ANDREY (10/5): Отличный новый отель в удобном месте - Проживали в Grand Marcello Hotel с 23.12.2018 по 02.01.2019. Местоположение - рядом остановка трамвая, 2 станции метро, с которых можно уехать практически куда угодно. Кроме того, в 30 метрах находится Храм Мирелейон, которому уже больше 1000 лет - теперь там небольшая мечеть. А под площадью перед отелем находится маленький ТЦ, встроенный в помещения древней ротонды. В общем очень интересное местоположение. Сам отель новый, открылся пару месяцев назад - все чисто, уютно, сотрудники очень стараются. На ресепшене практически все время есть администраторы, говорящие в том числе и на русском языке(Ирина и Азиз) - спасибо им за помощь во всем. Завтрак - всегда есть суп, чай, кофе, различные нарезки(колбасы, сыры, овощи), оливки, сладости, выпечка, горячие блюда(сосиски в соусах, омлет, яйца, выпечка), фрукты. Также можно попросить пожарить яичницы(омлет) или сварить кофе. В общем нашлось чем позавтракать и детям и взрослым. Номера - на каждом этаже где-то 8-10 номеров(1-2-3 местные). Мы жили в 3-х местном. Фотографии на сайте точно отражают то, как номера выглядят на самом деле - большие, все новое и чистое. Балконные двери с защитой от детей. По нашей просьбе принесли еще 2 кресла. Постояльцы - европейцы, турки, арабы, русские. Только китайцев не было, но это радует. На картах отель найти трудно, т.к. он новый и находится на пешеходной площади. В общем очень рекомендую отель! Отдых во многом удался именно благодаря отелю и его персоналу!
