• David (10/5): Excellent stay and would recommend to others. - The location was excellent. The staff was fabulous. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good with lots of options. We wish breakfast would have started a little earlier. There were a few days we weren't able to have breakfast at the hotel because we had to leave early for site seeing.

• Whitehead (7/5): Great location for historic sites. Small room and quite expensive. - The location was very good close to the Coliseum and numpties low cost eateries nearby. Very expensive and an extremely small room with a minuscule bathroom with nowhere to put toiletries. The barman appeared to disappear at every available opportunity usually to Vape in the court yard. I understand the hotel is family owned and occasionally got the impression that we were intruding on their home. Whilst some people would like the style I felt it was a little like a museum.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Old-fashioned flush in the bathroom was not effective and water pressure in the shower was low.

• Poliana (10/5): Me hospedaria de novo, com certeza. - Café da manha excelente, localização segura e de fácil acesso ao metro e ao ônibus. O terraço é uma gracinha, e a limpeza do quarto muito boa. O chuveiro era ótimo, a cama confortável, a toalha era boa, e as instalações também. A equipe simplesmente excepcional, todos muito educados e prestativos. Viajei sozinha e me senti segura tanto no hotel quanto na rua do hotel. E diferente de muita rua em Roma, a rua é asfaltada para quem vem do metro! O que ajuda a arrastar as malas. Da parada de ônibus tem um pedaço de paralelepípedo. As portas são bem pesadas e não consegui abrir com uma mão só. Não é culpa do hotel, mas acho bom deixar registrado para outros viajantes: se você tem dificuldade de carregar a mala, ou estar só com muita coisa, é melhor pedir um taxi para chegar na porta. A caminhada do metro é curta, mas cheia de turistas, você passa por toda a calçada do coliseu.

Fazem mais do que o esperado para poder ajudar. O taxista que chamaram pra me levar para o aeroporto também, outro simpático e prestativo. Bom café da manhã. A porta é bem pesada, não consegui abrir com uma mão só
• Beate (9/5): Familiäre, angenehme Tage in ruhiger und doch zentraler Lage! - Liebevoll eingerichtetes Einzelzimmer mit einem kleinen Balkon, der über dem begrünten Innenhof liegt. Das Badezimmer ist klein und alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Geschlafen habe ich sehr gut - super Matratze, feine Bettwäsche, ruhig. Die Lage des Hotels ist fußläufig zum Kolosseum und zur Untergrundbahn. Kleines, feines Frühstücksbuffet! Sehr nette, freundliche und hilfsbereite MitarbeiterInnen machen den Aufenthalt zusätzlich sehr angenehm.

• Elisabeth (3/5): Bei einem nächsten Rom Besuch würden wir ein anderes Hotel wählen. - Die zentrale aber doch ruhige Lage. Die Ausstattung kann als Antik, kitschig oder vom Speermüll angesehen werden. Die Zimmer haben unhygienische Teppiche. Gereinigt wurde nur oberflächlich, bei uns im Zimmer lag Kabelabfall die ganze Zeit am gleichen Ort, d.h es wurde nicht Staubgesaugt. Im Frühstücksraum gab es keine Tischsets, nur immer die gleichen Tischtücher. Es gibt nur 10er Tische. Das Frühstück ist alles andere als abwechslungsreich und ausgewogen, dass liegt vielleicht auch daran, dass 80% der Gäste Amerikaner oder Engländer sind. Wir haben einmal am ersten Tag dort zu abendgegessen, dass Essen war lecker und die Idee des Zusammensein an den 10er Tischen ist gut gemeint aber anstrengend mit der Kommunikation.

• Miwa (8/5): - コロッセオから近いロケーションでバスなどでどこにでも行けますし、近くに飲食店やスーパーもあり便利でした。シングルルームでしたがお部屋は広く、使いやすかったです。水回りは狭めでしたが珍しく水圧が強かったので特に不便しませんでした。従業員の方もチェックアウト時の男性の対応には疑問を感じてしまいましたが、それ以外の方は皆さん感じがよい方でした。 部屋に入った時に独特の匂いが強く、だんだん慣れましたが初日はきつかったです。また値段の割にアメニティは超最低限で冷蔵庫やボックスティッシュもありませんでした。ローマで他のホテルにも泊まりましたが、同じ価格帯で設備はこれより充実してたので落差を感じてしまいました。清掃は毎日してくれましたが、タオル交換は浴室床においておくなど明らかに交換してほしい感じを出さないと交換してくれないようなので注意です。

Wonderful rooms, simple but spotlessly clean and all you need. Friendly staff, great breakfast. One suggestion, more single/twin tables required in breakfast room. Highly recommended. Grazie Mille!
• 667val_riaa (2/5): Terrible service - I had an extremely disappointing experience at this hotel during my stay in Rome. The behavior of the staff was unacceptable and far from what one would expect from a professional hospitality team. We went to the breakfast area slightly before 7:00 a.m., and instead of being treated with courtesy or understanding, we were met with rudeness and an unwelcoming attitude. The staff made us feel as though we had done something wrong, rather than simply being early guests. This lack of basic politeness and respect left a very negative impression. Hospitality should be about making guests feel comfortable, not judged or mistreated. Unfortunately, this was not the case here. I am extremely disappointed with how we were treated and cannot recommend this hotel to others. The staff clearly needs proper training in customer service and professionalism. This was, without a doubt, my worst experience in Rome.

What a unique and wonderful spot, full of charm, friendly people (guests and staff alike) and a super location too. This was my second stay, having visited over 30 years ago. This time I was with my husband, a wheelchair user, and we found the room and the hotel itself worked very well. Faris and the entire team could not have been more kind and helpful, full of local knowledge, assisting with taxis, etc. We ate in one evening and enjoyed a super meal. Thank you to all the staff at Hotel Lancelot for making our trip to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary so special!
• Jet79772 (10/5): Fantastic place to stay - Such a great place to stay this is the second time we have stayed and the first with my family. The hotel is in a great position to get to the Colosseo and onto the Metro system for travelling further across Rome. The staff were really friendly and accommodating the breakfast was fantastic. The room was great and well apportioned and well looked after with plenty of space for a family of 4. We thought it was good value for money and will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful hotel with so many touches that make it truly designer and elegant, but also comfortable and thought through for travelers. Staff is brilliant and kind, helping in any possible way. Breakfast is perfect. For the first time (with traveling a lot!) I was taking photos of the interior as there were so many beautiful elements and art pieces.

• sheilac651 (10/5): An excellent choice! - This was our second visit to the Hotel Lancelot. It is a lovely, well run, family owned and managed hotel near the Colosseum. The staff are, without exception, kind, helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Mark this year! Breakfasts too are excellent with a wide range of options. We have no hesitation in recommending the Hotel Lancelot and are already planning our return next year.

• Katy (8/5): My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and we would definitely stay again and recommend other people to stay h - Loved the staff, so helpful and pleasant and happy to give recommendations and promptly helped when I got locked in the bathroom! The breakfast was delicious and a lovely choice of foods. Our room had its towels changed everyday, the beds were made everyday, the beds were comfortable and the shower was great! The location was also perfect - not far from the colloseum at all but also a good base point to get to other areas and it had great restaurants only just round the corner. The only thing I can say I didn’t like was the sound at nighttime, there was a lot of noise outside which you could really hear (and I have bad hearing) and you can hear everything going on outside/next to your room like if the neighbours run the water or flush the toilet. But - that really would be the only downfall which could easily be resolved with ear buds!

• Leisie93 (6/5): Great location, great value, policies that made me feel unwelcome - The location was fantastic. The price was a great value. And the hotel was definitely charming. But a lot of policies made me feel unwelcome. Maybe some of these polices have reasons behind them, but I wasn’t made aware of those reasons. - There was a locked gate at the entrance. On my first day, after hauling my luggage from Termini station to here, I waited for 5 minutes, not understanding how the locked gate worked or how to get in or why I was seemingly being shut out. Eventually I figured out what button to press. But even after I figured out the locked gate, several days later, the electricity on the locked gate seemingly went out. I rang the bell 8 times. Then some students staying came and called their friend who was inside the hotel. He tried to let us out from the other side of the gate but couldn’t. Then he got the concierge who also couldn’t unlock the gate with the button on the inside. Finally, the manager came and unlocked it with keys. I think that was 5 people attempting: me, the student standing outside, the student standing inside, the concierge, and the manager. - You have to leave the keys in the lobby before going out. Some people love this as a charming old hotel feature. I love charming physical keys in hotels, but Italy has a shortage of public restrooms and Rome’s public transit is bad. So after walking a lot and coming in needing to pee, the last thing I wanted was to have to wait to get my key to get into my room to pee. Maybe they’re afraid that guests will get keys stolen by pickpockets in Rome, but then wouldn’t that justify key cards? - My room was freezing, so cold I couldn’t comfortably shower. I visited Rome in February. I told the concierge who immediately fixed it, but it was still very cold. The hotel was still a perfect location and a fantastic value. The cleaning staff and laundry people did an amazing job, so thank you for that. ❤️
