The only negative part is they take a deposit of 1000 TBH per night and the lighting at night in the room is non existent, can hardly see anything, otherwise it’s worth staying here.

We had to pay an extra fee to get into our room early, we did know the check in times but thought maybe thered be a little understanding after flying 17 hours straight. One of the beds had sand in between the sheets. There is construction going on next door to the hotel but it didnt bother us like it did for some.

- Cecilia (8/5): - The staff are all wonderful. They're eager to help and make our stay better. I booked 2 rooms. Front desk gave us connecting rooms. One smelled like smoke while the other waa fine. My granddaughter has asthma and couldn't possibly stay in that room. My mom and sister stayed there until they sprayed the room. The bell boys were fast. They already had our luggages in the room when we went in. The transportation service is top notch. Phanom was excellent. He drove us around Bangkok for 3 days.The pool area has a bar, showers, change room and towel station. However, both the adult and kiddie pools have mold.

The bathroom was in poor condition with water damage to the bathroom door, which meant it couldn’t be closed properly. It felt a bit dirty and dingy. The lobby and outside of the hotel looked lovely though. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was good and nearby transport, plenty of taxi services, restaurants and shopping.

- Garry (6/5): Bad 'chef', bad attitude, bad hygiene, a liability - We booked 3 nights on HB, we don't eat lunch so all good was taken care of. On our last night I chose the penne pasta with tomato sauce. When it arrived Ifound the sauce to be very thick with a bad taste. I think it was just a few cherry tomatoes and some awful tomato paste. I tried to eat it but had to give up. I asked the waitress to change it. She apologised and tookk the plate away. She quickly returned to tell me the 'chef' says there is nothing wrong with it and has refused to change it. Can you imagine that, and in a Mercure Hotel??!! I was intending to complain next morning but events overtook that. All evening, my stomach ached. At 10pm, I needed the toilet. While using the toilet, I suddenly became dizzy, cold sweats and feeling really awful. That passed about 5 mins later, I was still using the toilet. Suddenly and without warning I projectile vomited. Most went into the handbasin but also on the floor. I went down to reception to ask for some cleaning materials. The hotel kindly sent a cleaner to our room. This is a fabulous hotel, fabulous, friendly and helpful staff let down by just one individual, a complete liability. The hotel manager was very apologetic and promised action would be taken to prevent the maverick 'chef' from ever interacting with future guests. So, after some consideration, I feel 5 stars would be excessive even though well deserved by 99.9% of the staff. I was very poorly, vomiting an additional 4 times during the night so 3 stars

The lobby is spacious and beautifully kept but the rooms need updating. Although clean and the bed is very comfortable, the bathroom could use some TLC. The location is a bit out of the touristy area by the river. They did honor the dining discount received from booking thru Expedia as a silver member but didn't honor any upgrade. There is a free shuttle to CentralWorld shopping Mall. The restaurant and bar is nice and the food surprisingly good. The staff in the restaurant is superb.

On the other hand it's walkable to the MRT & BTS stations that can get you to those areas. Overall I would stay there again

- Lalita (8/5): - We stayed at this hotel for 13 nights early August. We booked a corner room. We arrived in the very early hours of the morning so just wanted somewhere to sleep after 18 hours travel. Bed was comfy. Aircon did not work and the floor was sticky (hard floor) Our booking included a free upgrade but we weren't offered one. Next morning we had showers and found the water went out all over the bathroom floor. Went down our included breakfast which was good and quite a few choices and nice restaurant. Staff there were all lovely and helpful. After breakfast we went to reception to change our room. The lovely staff member there showed up a couple of rooms - one had working aircon, carpet and a shower that looked like it would leak water over the floor so we moved to it. The view outside was a construction site but it was interesting to watch the goings on so didn't bother us. They have a shuttle which we made use of but it only went a few times a day to shopping malls and mrt. Mrt was about a 10min walk away so not too far. Also a 7Eleven store just next to hotel, and a Burger King 5 minutes walk away behind a petrol station. The hotel is a tired looking and could do with a make-over otherwise it served our purpose and we enjoyed our stay.

We were given a large room with a fantastic view to the north of Bangkok. Room and hotel was spotless throughout. definitely a 5 star Hotel.

They offered to hold my luggage and allow me to use showers and the pool area while I waited for my room, to which they were able to have ready even earlier than anticipated. Everyone is incredibly friendly. The view from the corner room was amazing. The breakfast is A . So much variety. Would absolutely stay here again.

None of the staff spoke English, so it was a bit hard to order food and organize taxi's etc. don't order a margarita from the pool bar, you'll be disappointed.
