- Brigitte (5/5): - Lage okay. Zu Fuss ist die Einkaufsstraße und das Puerto Madera gut erreichbar. Zimmer sind sehr alt und nicht gepflegt, Risse in der Wand, Waschbecken und Badewanne kaputt, Tapeten die sich lösen, Löcher in der Wand..... Für diesen Preis hätte ich ein sehr viel besseres Zimmer erwartet. Anscheinend werden die Zimmer gerade renoviert, davon hatte ich jedoch nicht viel!

- Caglan (7/5): Great, but would prefer modernity. - The breakfast choices and breakfast hours were excellent. The hotel was fully packed with gym equipment, pool and other amenities. The rooms were not as advertised on the property pictures. Rooms were really old, walls had smudges, light fixtures were uneven. One bulb was white, the other bulb was soft white, top light was blue. It was a result of a headache. The room TV was also really old, the view quality was below 1080p. The hotel needs a solid renovation. It feels like it has been stuck in time from the 1980s. (Good for someone who wants to live nostalgia)

Mein Zimmer(1006)hat mir überhaupt nicht gefallen.Die Ausstattung im Zimmer und der Teppichboden sind sehr alt gewesen..Der Lärm von der Strasse war im Zimmer deutlich zu hören.Die Bildqualität vom Fernseher schlecht.

- MBSA8 (10/5): Excellent Stay and Experience! - We had a wonderful stay at this Sheraton, prior to boarding for our cruise. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The location worked well for us to sight see walks to Recolleta and into Puerto Madero and around the nature conservancy. The Hotel restaurant was exceptionally good (especially for hotels) - we had 2 lovely dinners there, and 2 breakfasts, since it was so convenient. We would stay there again without a doubt.

Alex, Daniel, Diego, and the team take great care of you. They remember what you like and how you like it prepared. Great service! The pool and health club are top notch. Great location. I was able to walk to great restaurants and shopping. Again, the staff cares about their mission to be of great service. I will definitely go back!

Lovely room - I used an upgrade award and got an amazingly huge suite - wish we had been there longer!! It’s a large hotel as expected for a convention hotel, but still manages to give the feeling of a more personal service. I would definitely stay again.

- roman4soccer (6/5): A Loyal Marriott Guest’s Honest Reflections on the Sheraton Buenos Aires - As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite Member, it truly pains me to write this review of the Sheraton Buenos Aires Hotel and Convention Center. I have always loved the Marriott brand, and it is my preferred choice whenever I travel, which makes this experience especially disappointing. On March 1, 2025, I booked a stay for November 14 to 24 because I wanted to celebrate my birthday in Argentina. We specifically chose a Marriott property in a quieter part of Buenos Aires, and the Sheraton seemed like the perfect fit. I had stayed near Plaza San Martin during a previous visit, so I was already familiar with the neighborhood and excited to return. When we arrived on November 14, the front desk staff greeted us warmly and professionally, exactly the level of service I have come to expect from Marriott. Our room was not ready for early check-in, so we stored our bags and went out for breakfast. Fortunately, the room became available at 1:30 p.m., which was earlier than the standard check-in time, and we appreciated that effort. However, when we entered Room 1403, I was surprised by how dated the furniture and bathroom fixtures were. The carpet had visible stains, and the window, despite offering a beautiful view of Puerto Madero, needed cleaning. The bed was clean and comfortable, which I was grateful for, but the rest of the room did not meet the standards I associate with Marriott. Part of the fourteenth floor was walled off during our stay, which made me think renovations might be underway, but our room had clearly not been updated yet. During the one warm day of our trip, we went to the pool hoping to relax in the sun. Unfortunately, the pool deck was dirty and needed a thorough power wash and debris removal. We found two lounge chairs and wanted to order cocktails, but there was no poolside service. When we walked to the pool bar to order directly, we were told it was closed. This was the first time I have ever stayed at a Marriott property where poolside drinks were not available, and it was very disappointing. Thankfully, the lobby bar was a much better experience. We visited several times and always enjoyed great food and excellent service. Room service was also fantastic, and the waiter consistently brought us a little something extra to make the meal feel special. On the night of my birthday, the staff surprised me with a complimentary dessert, which was a thoughtful and unexpected gesture that truly meant a lot. The convenience store across from the lobby bar was very helpful as well, although I am not sure if it is operated by the hotel or independently. Either way, we visited it often and always found what we needed. The small coffee bar near the entrance also provided great service, but it seemed to have limited hours. It was closed many times when we walked by during the day. The one time we did order from it, we enjoyed relaxing in the nearby seating area with our drinks. The hotel restaurant, Buono’s Kitchen, was another mixed experience. I made a reservation using the link provided by the hotel, but when we arrived on November 20 at 9:30 p.m., the host could not find it. After waiting about fifteen minutes, we were seated and had a pleasant dinner with good service. We attempted to have breakfast there once, but it was overcrowded and many items were unavailable, so we chose to eat breakfast at nearby cafés for the rest of our stay. The final disappointment was the concierge lounge. We never located it, and its limited hours made it difficult to use even if we had found it. When we stayed at the Marriott in Santiago, Chile in August, the concierge lounge was the highlight of our time at the hotel and added tremendous value to our stay. At the Sheraton Buenos Aires, the lounge felt like a mystery we were never able to solve. I want to be clear that none of these criticisms are directed at the staff. Every employee we interacted with was excellent. Housekeeping, room service, the front desk, the bell staff, hotel security and the lobby bar team all provided outstanding service. I believe the dedication of the staff is the reason the hotel remains busy despite the property’s shortcomings. My message to Marriott Bonvoy is simple. Please invest in the Sheraton Buenos Aires Hotel and Convention Center and restore it to the level of excellence it once had. The staff is exceptional, and the location is one of the best in the entire city. This hotel was once considered the premier property in Latin America during the 1970s, and with the right investment, it can reach that status again.

Booking.com also did nothing to help me while I was there as I was trying to cancel my booking and leave early. I ended up paying for the full duration and left early. Was a terrible experience

Había un olor a humedad y sucio en la habitación terrible, al punto de que pense que se me iba a quedar pegado a la ropa y al pelo, tuvimos que abrir la ventana para que se ventile. Como a toalla mojada o algo asi. El aire acondicionado estaba en 19, no se podía regular, llamamos a mantenimiento y nos dijeron que era producto de una falla en no se donde, que teníamos que esperar 2 hs aprox que terminaran de hacer un arreglo. En consecuencia, tuvimos que apagar el aire porque me estaba congelado. La bacha del baño estaba quebrada y pegada, humedad en el techo del baño y parte de los azulejos de la ducha amarillos. Ell desayuno medio pelo, los huevos estaban fríos y muy poca variedad. Esperaba mas.

The room was ready upon check-in at 11:45 AM, which was greatly appreciated 😀 The hotel is located in a nice area near the Retiro subte station. The view from my room of the Torre Monumental and the city itself was beautiful. The hotel premises like the lobby were fine but the place has seen better days. Room and bathroom were fine as well with expected décor and amenities from Sheraton, however it was in need of some renovating as I understand the hotel is in the process of completing. There was some wear and tear on the room furniture, outdated look, bathtub finish was peeling off, dangling light fixture/bulb in the bathroom, no hooks in the bathroom (only the covered holes on the wall where there was a hook before but they did not bother to replace it), which are all hopefully items that will be refurnished. In addition, some TV channels did not work (no image or with static.) Bed was comfortable though the pillows were too soft for my taste. Staff were usually nice and helpful; for example, I requested a teapot to heat water and was promptly brought in but another time I requested hand towels and sugar but they were not brought in so had to request again the next day. Speaking of teapots...the room has a coffeemaker with coffee pods but, as per a sign next to the coffeemaker, they only provide two complimentary coffee pods per stay (!), any more can be requested at an additional charge (!) 😤 Stingy, isn't it? I liked the daily bottles of water, empty mini-fridge, and robes/slippers. Had dinner at their on-site restaurant Buono once, which was relatively expensive and has a somewhat small menu; it was good though the calamari/squid in the pasta dish was too tough. Buono also has a Sunday brunch buffet 1-3 PM at 85,000 Argentinian pesos per person (kids under 12 eat free) but I did not partake in this. Surprisingly, there were not that many nice places to eat at walking distance, other than small or fast food type of establishments but other neighborhoods with tons of places to eat were a short drive away. I enjoyed and appreciated the benefits as a Bonvoy Platinum 😀, including access to the lounge, which has a decent breakfast spread with hot and cold dishes (the usual eggs, pastries, etc.) from 6-11 AM, then opens 2-9 PM with some hot items and desserts. Keep in mind that the 4 PM guaranteed check-out does not apply here because it's a convention hotel; I did request it on day of departure but was not available so I stored my bags with the concierge/bell desk upon check-out to pick up later in the day. Wi-fi was good. They also have a small convenience store with snacks, medications, etc. The pool/spa/gym looked great did not use.

Enjoyed club lounge comfort and meals. Great views from my very pleasant, high floor room. Rooms will be even better when refreshed in renovations currently underway. Some of the surrounding areas could be dangerous at night. (The hotel itself felt perfectly safe with many visible security officials.)

Ariana at reception set the tone with her warm, welcoming personality and informative check-in, making us feel at home right away. The hotel itself is beautiful, with an unbeatable location that makes exploring the city effortless. Our suite was modern, newly renovated, and thoughtfully designed—a truly comfortable retreat after a day out in Buenos Aires. Every staff member we encountered was cordial, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. Special shout-outs to Cristian at the concierge and the entire Executive Lounge team—absolutely phenomenal! The on-site restaurant was another highlight, serving delicious food with excellent service. The complimentary bottle of wine waiting in our room was an unexpected and delightful touch that made our stay even more special. Overall, our stay exceeded expectations, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommended! Update: Ariana continues to exemplify true customer care. She noticed it was my husband’s birthday, and upon returning to our room on our second day here, we found a beautiful birthday cake and thoughtful message. We both immediately said that we’re coming back as soon as we can. Thank you, Sheraton, for having such exceptional, caring staff. And the view!!! I’ll add pictures taken from our room.

We were at one of the recently renovated roos. They are elegant and full of light , as the walls are light colors painted. Staff is very kind and professioinal. Fitness center is 24 hours open, what is great. It is a very nice place looking towards outdorr swimmingpool. There is also an indoor one, open since early in the morning. Breakfast is OK though it coul have more variety of fresh fruit. We had dinner at the restaurant: delicious food and very kind staff. Prices not so high.
