- sleep007 (6/5): Hoped for Better - Have used Andaz before and considered them a high quality quirky blend. I’d say this one provides a good image in the reception area but that hides tired (albeit good sized) bedrooms. We were also offered a $15 per night upgrade to be at the front of the hotel which we took. In hindsight good service would have provided the best room available without charge and being at the front (street side) meant a lack of sleep from the busy streets. No in room refreshment facilities but you can refill water at water stations across the floors or get coffee and a few complimentary treats (breakfast bars, crisps etc. at reception. Despite this the front of desk were professional and friendly. Rooftop pool was small and busy. They put too much of this limited space to at a cost cabanas that stayed empty most the time they were there. To be fair we wouldn’t come back to WeHo again though, if we did, we’d look for better options.

Breakfast is not complimentary. $120 for eggs, smoked salmon, sausage, a banana and orange juice is ridiculously overpriced. Furthermore, the hotel doesn't have backup when the hotel elevator breaks, only one service elevator .

Pool gets crowded so you have to go early. A lot of locals using Resort Pass and the hotel doesn't really monitor it. Right next to Comedy Store and walking distance or short uber to destination places without being in the riff raff. We felt very safe also. Will definitely stay again!

- 368suzanner (10/5): Don't hesitate to book here! - We had such an incredible stay at the Andaz West Hollywood, especially as Hyatt guests of Honor, and I truly can’t say enough good things—especially about Jessie and Nathan. We arrived very early in the morning, well before check-in, and I was unfortunately dealing with pretty severe vertigo. The staff went above and beyond to help us get into our room early so I could lie down and recover. That level of kindness and care meant everything to us and completely set the tone for our stay. From there, everything was just fantastic. The breakfast each morning was phenomenal, the poolside service (those icy drinks!) was perfect, and the views from our 10th-floor room were absolutely stunning. We also loved the thoughtful touches—like the complimentary snacks when returning from our day trips and the soda water always available in the lobby. Every single staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. It made the entire experience feel elevated and special. We truly cannot wait to come back. Thank you again to Jessie and the entire team for such a memorable stay!

- JohnPorriello (6/5): Pool crowded with non-guests - I came to Hollywood for a conference and timed my early arrival so that I could spend some time in the sun by the pool. Upon arriving to the pool, all the lounge chairs were taken. I would soon discover that the majority of the people laying around the pool were NOT hotel guests. I had to patiently wait an hour for a lounge chair to become free in order to lay in the sun. The door to the pool did not require the use of a room key. This is an obvious "fix" to reserving the pool for hotel guests only and does not seem like a change the hotel wants to make. For the premium price of this hotel, I expected the hotel experience to match the price and it did not meet my expectations. One of the two elevators was not working during my three-night stay and no one was working on repairing the elevator. The room was nice and clean. The hotel was clean and modern.

The staff hide behind the front desk and are barely friendly. Broken elevator .. one working elevator for a huge hotel ... long wait times to go anywhere. I can't imagine ever staying here again.

- Wander294126 (4/5): Loud and couldn't use the pool. - The Andaz was in a good location in West Hollywood but I wish I had booked another hotel. I couldn't use the pool on the one free afternoon I had because they were setting up for a private party and the alternative pools they offered weren't nice. But my main issue was the absolutely insane party they had in the lobby restaurant. I could feel the reverberation in my bed on the 5th floor. They didn't really compensate me for either of these things so overall I was disappointed. Stay the One Hotel West Hollywood - a little more expensive but much nicer.

- Fiona (7/5): Amazing location, great size of room and pleasant stay for a good nights sleep. - The hotel is very funky and rich in history. The central location is fabulous for getting straight into the adventures of West Hollywood. The rooms are a brilliant size and were really quiet considering we were overlooking the main road. The bathroom facilities had panelling above the mirror that fell off in the middle of the night and was being held on with double sided tape. Overall the bathroom could do with an upgrade.

Great place….love the Free Coffee! - My daughter just moved to West Hollywood so I stay here when I visit her from Chicago. I’ve stayed a few times. It’s great…good location between Santa Monica Blvd. And Sunset…there are a lot of places to walk. Everything was great!

- V9517FNmichaelk (6/5): Overpriced, trendy hotel with a terrible shower - Trendy type of hotel, which probably wasn't the right fit for my family. Everything felt laid back as opposed to an establishment going out of their way for a professional and upscale experience despite the $500 per night charge. The bathroom might have been the worst I have ever had. Not only was it tiny, but the shower had no door and no curtain, just a glass wall that covered only half of it. With the lack of water pressure due to California law (not the hotel's fault) and the hot water going in and out intermittently, we would get cold in the shower. Terrible experience that made me want to leave. Breakfast buffet was $50!!!!! And was little more than the free breakfast at most Marriott and other Hyatt properties. Pre-made eggs, bacon, and sausage, horrible potatoes, pastries, a couple cereals, and fruit. Felt bad. Bed didn't have a traditional headboard. I found myself at night hitting the cold, hard shelf where the headboard should be. Bizarre. Ice cold water in the lobby was refreshing every day. We appreciated the "free" chips and snacks there as well. I say "free" but I assume it was part of the $40 destination fee we were saddled with every day. Not the worst place I have ever been, but we certainly would never go back.
- W3692HPericl (8/5): Good overall with a couple minor hiccups! - With the transitioning weather the hotel turned the master heat on. So at night when we tried to turn the temperature down to sleep. It was pretty warm in the room. In their defense, we like to sleep it with it very cold. It was All-Star weekend so traffic was pretty rough on Sunset Boulevard, so entering and exiting the property was a little bit challenging. The property itself was very nice. Great location. Had a little sticker shock at $75 a night for parking.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Constant availability of snacks, coffee, and water was a nice touch.

The entire team was incredibly accommodating—quick to respond, flexible with last-minute changes, and genuinely collaborative throughout the process. Not to mention the rooms were clean and beautiful, and everyone loved the Andaz-branded water bottles! Anne was especially outstanding to work with. She was consistently available by phone, text, and in person, and truly made us feel supported every step of the way. She kept everything organized, communicated seamlessly with the broader hotel team, and expertly managed special requests including room drops, dietary restrictions, and logistics. Anne took the time to walk us through each component of the BEO and associated costs, ensuring complete alignment and transparency throughout. Her professionalism and personal approach were unmatched. We highly recommend working with Anne and her colleague, Marissa. Additionally, the valet team deserves special recognition—they were fantastic partners and a pleasure to work with.

- Marcello (9/5): Tolle Erfahrung - gutes Hotel - bemühtes Personal - gerne wieder ! - Ein grosses und geräumiges Zimmer mit genug Platz im Bad. Wir waren 4 Freunde in einem Zimmer für ein Trip in den Staaten. Wir hatten ebenfalls eine Marshall Musikbox mit dem jeder sich verbinden konnte. Das Frühstück im Hotel war ebenfalls gut und das Personal in allen Belangen sehr toll gewesen. Gerne wieder ! Ich kann nichts negatives Erwähnen.

The staff is outstanding,very friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The bed was extremely comfortable, which made my stay even more enjoyable. A nice touch was the complimentary snacks and sweets available at the reception, as well as free coffee and water throughout the day. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay here again.
- allenxie77 (4/5): Disappointing Cleanliness for an Andaz Property - I stayed at Andaz West Hollywood from December 24 to December 28 in a standard suite, using a World of Hyatt Globalist Suite Upgrade Award. While there were a few positives, the overall experience fell well below expectations for an Andaz property. The most concerning issue was cleanliness. The bathtub had multiple visible stains that remained throughout my stay. I initially overlooked this on the first day, assuming housekeeping would address it, but the stains were still present on the second and third days. In addition, the area underneath the living room sofa was extremely dirty, suggesting a lack of thorough cleaning. I also found stains on the bed sheets in less visible areas, further raising concerns about hygiene. For a suite-level room, this level of cleanliness is unacceptable. There were also billing issues. I later discovered an extra charge on my credit card that did not appear on the final bill, which required me to call the hotel and wait for a refund. This type of error should not happen and added unnecessary frustration to the stay. Additionally, the room manager promised a goodwill gesture of 15,000 World of Hyatt points to compensate for these issues, but the points were never credited to my account, which further undermined confidence in service follow-through. To provide context, I stayed over 130 nights at Hyatt properties last year, across various brands. Based on that experience, I can confidently say that this stay did not meet the standards expected of an Andaz property or even a comparable Hyatt brand. On the positive side, the location is convenient, the suite itself was spacious and had a unique layout, and the valet parking staff were friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. Overall, while the hotel has potential, the cleanliness concerns, billing error, and unfulfilled compensation significantly detracted from the experience. This stay did not align with the brand standards one would expect from Andaz or Hyatt at this level.

- zhihanf2024 (2/5): Bad experience at Andaz West Hollywood - the only thing the front desk staff know is smile and do nothing. On the first day of my stay, my room was not serviced at all. When I contacted the front desk to report this, I was told that if I wanted daily housekeeping, I was required to personally notify the front desk every morning before leaving my room. I was honestly shocked by this response. This is the first time I have ever been informed that daily housekeeping at a hotel—especially a property under the Andaz and Hyatt brand—requires the guest to proactively request it every single day. This expectation was never communicated at check-in. In addition to this, the walk-in shower in my room had completely run out of shampoo and body wash. I contacted the front desk twice requesting a refill. Despite these repeated requests, when I returned to my room that evening, the amenities still had not been replenished. To make matters worse, on my first night I requested two bars of soap. What was delivered instead was a toothbrush. At that point, the level of disorganization and lack of attention to basic guest requests left me speechless. These are not luxury requests—they are the most basic standards of hotel housekeeping and guest service. The combination of an unserviced room, missing bathroom amenities, repeated unfulfilled requests, and dismissive explanations from the front desk reflects extremely poor internal communication and operational management. This experience fell far below the expectations of an Andaz property and significantly impacted my stay. I did not feel taken seriously as a guest, nor did I feel that resolving these issues was treated as a priority.

It was genuinely the worst experience with how many things went wrong and the attitude of staff, especially with what you’re paying for. I requested early check in and connecting rooms, which they weren’t able to accommodate and that was totally fine with me because hotels can never guarantee it. But once I arrived with my party (3 hours before check in) I got in the queue for early check in. I asked the woman helping me a question and she was condescending and passive aggressive which made me feel uncomfortable to ask anything. I waited in the lobby, as did many others awaiting early check in. Slowly, the lobby became empty as people got their rooms but I still waited for over 2 hours until the staff walked by me and realized I was still in the lobby and said she’d check on my room for me and come and update me. She never did and I never got the text from the queue letting me know the room was ready. I finally went up to the desk again to check in and another staff member was there and let me know the room had already been ready…..this was frustrating because there was no communication once the room was ready as promised. I finally get to my room and they gave me the wrong room. I paid for a blvd facing room (100$ more expensive) and they gave me a smaller room that faced the back parking lot. Once I let staff know they gave me the wrong room, they tried to say there’s essentially no price difference between rooms. I had to pull up my email confirmation and THEIR OWN WEBSITE to show them which type of room I got and their prices as shown online. They still tried to say there’s no difference but they’ll fix my room. They also offered to let me stay in the room and they’d take 32$ off. Keep in mind the room I paid for was 100$ more expensive than the room they put me in…they also weren’t apologetic for this at all. I don’t expect much, mistakes happen. But being okay with letting me pay extra for the nicer room while staying in the smaller room with no view was not cool and they were just like oh..okay. I also want to note that once I initially told the staff they gave us the wrong room, she said she was going to look into it and call us. She never did. This was twice now that she said she’d come back with an update and never did. Once this got resolved, which of course took a while, we got our room and the door was jammed and was hard to open to the point it seemed locked. We had to push really hard to get in, which I’ll note wasn’t a huge deal, just inconvenient after the already bad experience I was having. Anyways, wasn’t a big deal until the toilet flooded. It got my clothes soaked with toilet water …we let the front desk know on our way out to dinner and they said they’d fix it. Once we got back, the toilet had still not been fixed because the maintenance man couldn’t get in because of the door being hard to open. It eventually got fixed thankfully but it was just a series of inconveniences. I never write reviews but this was my worst experience at a hotel . I expected more from what seemed like a great place to stay. I do not recommend, I’m sure the nearby hotels are a lot better than the Andaz.

- yuliya (2/5): Better go somewhere else - Breakfast service, main chef/waiter finally decided to grant my allergies and actually gave me food, he was nice about, interesting that you have to beg for paid service My diamond earring were taking from my car, I reported to management and Mr Paz yet to answer my emails or calls, I also reported to Hyatt membership but 6 carat earring were taken and no one care. This is not all for experience at this hotel. I couldn't order dinner since waiter refused to grant my dietary restriction and cook food on olive oil, he refused to even check with a chef. This shocking experience leaves you wonder...
- xtinebbb (6/5): Skip this one - I've stayed in two Andaz hotels back to back. The brand appears to be "stylish, functional, rock and roll" but it's not working. In this hotel, the rooms are very dated, very much felt like an old motel. Yucky old carpet that I didn't want to walk on. Chipped paint and everything was dingy. I wouldn't stay here again. The Andaz the previous week was in Mexico City - it was more up-to-date but also seemed to be cutting some corners. Maybe it's something about the brand. I'll probably avoid Andaz in the future.

I booked weeks before my stay and they put my fiancé and I in the 3rd floor with view to the parking lot. I called the front desk they said they were sorry but the rooms were all booked for that night. That they could offer me a $25 voucher to use at their hotel “store”. Like what!

I love the atmosphere of the lobby and the general decor of both common spaces and individual rooms. They have very friendly, helpful staff (for the most part) and great amenities (but sadly the rooftop pool was closed throughout my stay due to the rain). The one major downside to staying here is that parking is quite expensive per night. There’s limited parking in the area but having a car is essential to exploring LA!

We found the staff to be very friendly and it was nice to get little snacks right when we checked in. It is overall in a good location that is conveniently close to many other sites that are only a few minutes Uber drive away. No complaints about anything and would recommend and consider staying again.
- W8405RHemilyk (2/5): Disappointing Experience - We checked into the Andaz on Friday, November 7 after flying from the east coast. I had booked two rooms, one for my husband and me and one for my two teenage daughters. I called ahead to make sure that they were adjoining. When we arrived, our rooms were not even on the same floor. The woman checking us in said there was nothing she could do without getting in trouble with management and that it was late and by that time of night, we had to take what we could get (it was about 10:30 pm). We were exhausted from our flight and work/school the whole day, so we just went with it and figured we would take care of it in the morning. Our younger daughter ended up too anxious, so one of us went down and slept in their room. The next day we had a family wedding, so I texted the hotel really early to sort this out. I was told that a manager would be on duty at 7 am and would reach out. It didn't happen. On top of that, the kids' room was never cleaned. We were out of the hotel room the entire day that day and were never contacted.I called down after we got back to the hotel about a dirty room. I was told they did have a room for my husband and me to move to, but I have no missed calls, no messages, and no texts. By the time we got back after the wedding, the kids crashed (jet lag) and we let it go. At this point we were checking out the next day to move to a different part of LA. The hotel was dingy (see pics of the bathroom) and the plugs didn't work to hold your phone charger. The view is great but the windows were filthy. The good: The location of the hotel cannot be beat and the restaurant, both food and service, were fabulous.

- MayuD7 (4/5): Below Expectations for the Andaz Brand - Andaz has an excellent reputation for service quality in my country, with consistently high reviews. However, the experience here seemed very different. I wasn’t aware that hotel here does not provide a kettle or coffee/tea amenities in the room. The complimentary coffee in the lobby also tasted quite poor. When I requested tea, the front desk kindly offered to bring a kettle and some tea bags, which I appreciated. However, the shower water pressure in the room was another disappointing point. Although the hotel mentioned that the pressure is regulated by California state law, I have stayed at other hotels in the area and the water pressure there was normal.
- Mahmood (1/5): Rip-off. Never again. - Location I never leave reviews but I had to for this one. The security deposit for a 5 night stay came at a whopping $750. I only used the valet parking service which cost $225 for 3 nights but they charged $410 to my card. They have not supported when I tried reaching out and I could not find a way to contact them. They also came close to double charging me for the stay at check-in when it was pre-paid.

Never received either wasn’t checked in till 830-9. I had to be at an event at 530. I had to roll my luggage across the streeet to a friends room to get ready then roll my stuff back. - E296KWmelissal (6/5): 2.5 to 3 for Andaz West Hollywood - The Pros: good location, very comfortable beds & pillows, the robes in the room were nice, and we appreciated them honoring our Hyatt Guest of Honor pass that came with free breakfast and a late check out. The Cons: valet parking is the only option and was $75 PER DAY. The check in process was pretty disorganized. They checked us in, and told us they would text us when our room was ready...and then never did. We got impatient sometime around 5:15-20 since we had somewhere we needed to be, and they were like "oh, yeah" and then we proceeded to go through the whole check in procedure again for another 10 mins. Now for the worst part: I attempt to take a shower to get ready for our event, and we could not get the water temperature to go above a "cool-to-barely-luke warm" temp. The shower also has a sign on it about a city regulation of 2.something gallons a minute, so the pressure is very low, AND the final kicker: The shower door is just a 1/2 piece of glass that opens to the bathroom; so I absolutely froze my ass off trying to wash my hair. If you do book there make sure you have hot water the moment you get to the room. I didn't have time to call maintenance since we were on a tight schedule.

- David (9/5): A good place to stay when visiting LA - This was our second time at the facility. The room provided added space for us with a small alcove by the window that we could use to rest and read. Our breakfast came with the room and the food and service was very good. We arrived 1.5 hours before the 4:00 check-in. Our room was not ready (it was in the queue to be cleaned), and we waited in the lobby. During this time, many people checked in and went to their rooms. At 3:45 I approached the front desk and asked about the room. It was still not ready and still in the queue, but the staff assigned another room with a king bed, after consulting with management. The room lighting (not including the bathroom) could use some improving.

Becareful booking online (Booking.com or similar) the hotel added USD50 per night for the room clean. In most hotels this is already included. This is unacceptable from a cleanliness, comfort, and safety standpoint. • Dirty bathroom: The bathroom had not been properly cleaned (visible dirt/grime), which made the room unsanitary. • No Globalist recognition / amenities: The front desk did not acknowledge my Globalist status and did not offer daily bottled water, which is a published Globalist benefit.
