The hotel is strongly recommendable to other travallers - We liked the atmoshpere of the hotel, the quality food in the restaurant and the quiteness, the calm of the resort. The room was comfortable, but we think the size of the beds was a bit tight. (We were 4 in one room) The free shuttle for the Universal Studio leaves very early and only once per day and the return is only once per day. This is a bit cumbersome.

No te dicen antes de la reserva que el parqueadero con Valet te vale 50 USD por día, y que si no deseas el Valet y optas por parquear tú mismo te cuesta prácticamente lo mismo algo así como 45 UDD. Para un hospedaje de 5 noches como en mi caso eso representó un incremento de 250 USD más tax por solo parquear. Exagerado.

Very friendly and professional employees from check-in, housekeeping, dining, and cafe. The towels smelled fresh, everything was so clean, and well taken care of. The grounds are well-maintained. The beds were so comfortable. Quiet atmosphere. Finally, the price is very reasonable.

However, the lack of complementary breakfast or at least coffee was upsetting, especially when the breakfast that you have to choose from is per morning The clues of the room was fantastic. I personally did not utilize room service or need much help by the staff was wonderful. They were very nice. The only other thing is that they did not inform you about the $225 security deposit that would be due upon checking in so that was quite frustrating. I don't know that I would take my family to stay here with the cost of everything, but it is a beautiful resort

deriag2020 (8/5): Short lived stay!!! - Spent 3 nights at this location for a work event and all together it was very pleasant. The arrival was decent and it was nice to have all of my gear delivered to my room without me hauling it. Self parking was $39/night plus tax, which was surprising. But, you did need key access, so I gues that's where the funds go 🤷🏾‍♀️. The on site restaurants were really good. E joyed sushi at the Lakehouse restaurant. But, 4 Flamingo' (chefs kiss), was my favorite. I wish I hadn't waited for the last day to dine there. The coconut shrimp were stellar!!! I would've wanted a lower floor for my room, due to my fear of heights and equilibrium, but I managed to survive that as well. I'd bring my kids here in the future for them to have as good a time as I did.

Scenic699752 (2/5): Worst experience as a local booking a staycation for special occasions (Prom and 18th Birthday) - Not everyone is going to have the same experience but check your rooms for cleanliness, be careful when showering, use rubber mats provided for in shower use, shower is slippery and pools of water form outside the shower causing slip risk as well.

All of our special requests were honored, and the staff was very understanding when a family emergency required us to leave earlier than planned. The resort is beautiful, and has a very relaxed vibe, making it nearly perfect for a family get-away. The only disappointing aspect was the absence of a spa.
Solerita (4/5): Not worth it! - The pool and sports area are lots of fun. The staff are very nice and they were very helpful in getting all lake activities under way. The food was sub par in both indoor restaurants. The lunch at the pool restaurant was good and the servers were really nice. The room is OLD. There was large accumulations of dust in vents and on walls, the bathroom was old and grungy looking. The lobby is clean and the property is overall well maintained.

Kristine (10/5): Perfect ! - My husband and I went for a night to celebrate our anniversary. Now I wish I would have booked the whole weekend. The hotel is beautiful, all the staff were so friendly. The pool is beautiful, I can’t wait to go back and take my kids ! I wish the coffee maker in the room was better .. also, the pool seating was a little aggravating at first. We got to the hotel around 12 and we went straight to the pool, of course there were a ton of seats with towels just laying on them and no one in the them even though it says not to severe seats. Very frustrating
mikedL3699VO (10/5): Great stay in Orlando - Overall, a really great stay. Hotel was great. Clean, courteous and helpful staff, and lots on site for the kids to do. The pick of which was the pool which the kids loved and was great for cooling off after 20k steps around a theme park! Good location for the various parks - Disney only 15 mins away and ran a complimentary bus service to, whilst the various Universal parks were no more than a 30 min drive. Food was good. A comprehensive breakfast buffet got each day off to a cracking start, and the hotel restaurants were great for dinner too. The pick was the Four Flamingos, a real treat to round off the holiday. Great base for a great holiday. Would definitely stay again when we come back to Orlando.

401JoeS (10/5): Great Resort for Families and Solo Travelers - Hyatt regecy resort Cypress is wonderful, although very family friendly with children I totally still enjoyed being a solo adult on my own here most of my visit. Large spaces, plenty of moving room outside. Clean rooms. One thing to note, while having multiple dining options, the resort had no practical indoor dining available from about 2 PM to 5 PM. During cold and rainy weather I had for my last two days, being limited to poolside food or taking food back to the room was not ideal. I understand it's a hotel logistics thing and noticed this at other Regencys. Because the property is large and set back in a private setting, it is not especially convenient to get to off-property dining without a car. That said when food was available , Four Flamingos, Looby Bar, and the Breakfast were all exceptional experiences.

emmakO7098TW (6/5): A Mixed Stay — Lovely Amenities, But Needs Work - We chose this resort for an Easter getaway with our two young kids, and while there were some genuinely fun moments, there were enough frustrations that I wanted to share an honest take. The kids loved that the resort had bikes with training wheels available, helmets included. That was a really thoughtful touch and a big hit with our little ones. The pickleball court was a nice amenity too and we got good use out of it. There are two hot tubs on the property but only one allows kids. We actually liked the other one more since it’s not under the cave and gets a lot more natural sunlight. Of course, that ended up being the one kids weren’t allowed in, so we couldn’t enjoy it as a family. A little frustrating when you’re traveling with young children. The Easter egg hunt was well organized and the kids had a blast. It started about 10 minutes late but once it got going it was fun and well run. Moments like that are exactly why you bring young kids to a resort. The Pool Area The pool area was understaffed. We rarely saw attendants coming around to take orders so we had to get up and order ourselves. On Sunday every chair was taken and with two young kids and all their gear, we had no place to set anything down while moving between pools and the hot tub. We were carrying everything the entire time, which is not what you want on a family vacation. My kids had been looking forward to s’mores the whole trip. We tried two nights in a row and both nights the gas fire pits were fully claimed. The large fire pit by the pool wasn’t lit on either night. The first night we were told it was too windy, which I get. The second night was completely calm and it still wasn’t lit, with no explanation given. We had already bought the s’mores kit. Watching my kids’ disappointment was really tough and it felt like something that could have easily been avoided. The room felt older and more worn down than I remembered from my stay here last year. The air was heavy and stale and the cleanliness wasn’t where it should be. I woke up with red spots on my face and neck. I can’t say for sure whether it was dust mites or a reaction to the detergent on the bedding, but either way it was unsettling. My husband woke up congested most mornings and we suspect it was related. The sheets were rough and uncomfortable on top of that. A drawer also broke when we pulled it out, the track came dislodged and it wouldn’t close. I let the front desk know right away so we wouldn’t be charged, and they did send someone to fix it, but the repair came while my kids were napping. When you’re traveling with young children, disruptions to their schedule really matter. Dealing with broken furniture on vacation is just not what you want. I’ve been a loyal Hyatt guest for years and held Explorist and Discoverist status last year. I stay exclusively at Hyatt properties when I travel, so I came in with real expectations. When I asked for a late checkout I was offered one extra hour, with paid options beyond that. For a returning loyal guest that felt more transactional than welcoming. Not the Hyatt experience I’m used to. Parking is $39 a day, which feels steep for guests already paying resort rates. And when we retrieved our luggage from the front desk after waiting for our room, the interaction felt like a tip was expected. That’s not something I’d anticipate at a resort and it left an awkward impression. There’s a good resort in here. The amenities, the setting, and the family friendly touches like the bikes and the egg hunt show real potential. But between the cleanliness issues, the worn room, the understaffed pool, and service that didn’t quite match the loyalty I’ve shown this brand, this trip didn’t live up to what I’ve come to expect from Hyatt. I hope they take this feedback seriously because families like ours want to keep coming back

383lenn (4/5): PATHETIC!!! - First of all, very nice staff. Professional! If you are going to relax at the pool. Forget about it. You would be much more comfortable on a hospital gurney than the lounges you are presented at the Hyatt. They are truly AWFUL. No cushion. NOTHING! Hyatt Management should be truly ashamed of themselves for subjecting clients/customers to this abysmal experience. Spend some short money & make the stay memorable! I was testing the Hyatt for a 2027 Corporate Sales Meeting with over 1500 people attending. I would NEVER recommend this place. NEVER in a million years. Thank God there are other places! Dinner prices at their TOP restaurant are over-the-top. Ridiculous! Hyatt...Wake Up...You are missing the boat!

lorayahtl (10/5): Will be back! - This was such a perfect resort, not too far but it still felt secluded. It had so many amazing included activities that was perfect for our family. We ordered room service from Lake House practically every night. Our room saw the Epcot fireworks which was such a great nightcap. I wish we had a full balcony to sit outside, but other than that everything about this was great!

They told us we had to wait 40 minutes, but I understand they have to accommodate a lot of people for the size of the breakfast area. It wasn't a big deal for me. I think it's a very cool, elegant, and clean place, I really liked the shops they have, the beach, the kayak area, the restaurant; very interesting.
596nicholasc (10/5): Incredible hotel with one small issue. - Great location, amazing pool, and tons of fun activities. The food/drink cost situation needs attention as the prices continue to go up every year. This year in particular, prices are out of control compared to local stores and restaurants. Other than this issue, staff is great, pool is incredible and my family had a great time. Just felt slightly held hostage by food and drink situation. (Enough so that I'm actually starting to reconsider our yearly visit next year.)

DrStu21 (10/5): Fantastic property for your Disney trip! - This property is absolutely wonderful. The grounds, pool, food, service, rooms, and staff are as good as it gets! The proximity to the parks is excellent. I cannot recommend it enough. We have come 2 years straight and can't imagine going anywhere else. Whoever hires their staff and manages them deserves props. They are great to guests and to me that means the bosses are great to their employees!

dselvan (8/5): Stayed for conference. Expensive parking fees!! - Stayed here for a conference. Rooms were nice with lovely views. Rooms had all the basic amenities. Bed was comfortable. Sound proofing was not as good. Plenty of car parking spaces for self park but high parking fees at $39.41 including taxes and the self park was a bit of a walk from the hotel. Food options were quite expensive but ate out for dinner and breakfast was included in the conference and so can't comment on the hotel offering. The conference facilities in the hotel were excellent. Didn't use the pool area.

lynchl2025 (8/5): No service during breakfast but overall ok. - During breakfast, there was no service at all. No waiter came to our table, and no one asked if we needed water or coffee. We waited for about 25 minutes without receiving anything. Meanwhile, guests who arrived after us were already served coffee, while we still had nothing. Only after we finished our buffet and went to the front desk to ask for the bill did a waiter finally show up and apologize. However, there was simply no service throughout the entire breakfast. As a World of Hyatt Globalist member who travels frequently, I have stayed at many hotels over the years. This was honestly one of the worst service experiences I have ever had.

We had a large group of 600+ attendees and everything went off without a hitch. I have attended multiple conferences over the years and this entire 7-day experience was by far the best one I have experienced so far.
carries278 (6/5): A real review from a mom traveling with kids. - I traveled to Orlando with my two kids (8 and 11) for some sun and warm weather during spring break. Overall, the resort is beautiful with well kept, sprawling grounds. Now here’s the detail you may find helpful… - The amenities included in the resort fee were lovely and we had the opportunity to use several of the inclusions including: ^ Bicycles: They had a variety of sizes which is very family friendly. The trail around the lake is beautiful however, is covered with a thick layer of bark. What a workout! The kids were tired halfway through due to the hard pedaling required (and me too, phew!). ^ Water Bike (Double): We tried to use it but it was too challenging for my 8 year old; that’s a personal issue but where we grew frustrated was when we got off a realized she was covered in grease. Doh! ^ The pools are gorgeous but unless you’re looking for a cold plunge experience, only the pool by the slide is heated (and packed with people). As such, loungers were hard to come by. People were also holding chairs (with things like a book and sweatshirt) for hours without using them and when I approached staff to assist, they advised they can’t touch people’s belongings. ^ We used the shuttle to Disney Springs a few times and the drivers were all friendly. - The rooms are nice however, there were a few things to note: our first room had paint peeling on the ceiling and black mold. The safe was also locked upon arrival so maintenance had to come up to reset it; they were prompt and friendly. We were also supposed to be in a double bed room but were put into a king bed room; that made for a rough night as the sofa bed was uncomfortable. Our second room had a leaky sink that soaked our belongings underneath. Waiting for maintenance is never fun but I will say they were also prompt and friendly. The couch was also filthy (to the point we didn’t want to touch it). - The staff were all friendly and helpful which makes for a better experience. Shout out to Fernando at the elevators; his smile is contagious and we enjoyed seeing him every day. - The way my credit card was charged authorizations for incidentals made for a frustrating experience. Instead of taking one authorization, the system was authorizing my credit card for room charges throughout our stay which felt like double charges. While it all balanced out (although I still have two pending authorizations 3 days after checkout), it is a flaw in the system. - For anyone who likes to be walkable to coffee/restaurants, there are a few options within a 10 minute walk. - We enjoyed the buffet one morning and the omelette station was fantastic. The kids enjoyed it too. All that to say, while not a perfect experience, we had a great time.

Amazing pools with caves they can swim through, water slide, movies by the pool, paddle boards, peddle boats, rock climbing, mini golf, basketball, ping pong, and more. They offer free shuttles to the disney parks and have many different dining options. The staff was 5 starts in every department and the hotel was very clean and well kept. Our family of five had the best time and will absolutely be back.

O800BUmichellew (10/5): Great family friendly hotel - This was our third visit to the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. I visited with my two daughters during spring break. The hotel was busy and quite full but we still had a great time. Our room had a great view of the fireworks at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT which we really enjoyed. Breakfast at Lakehouse and Dinner from the Lobby Bar was tasty and satisfying. The whipped brie was really yummy! The pool was a bit too cold for me, but it definitely didn't stop my kids from enjoying it!

Le personnel est adorable, le petit déjeuner est délicieux. Les piscines sont magnifiques. Les ballades à faire sont très agréables. Le monsieur brésilien qui est au ascenseur est adorable, et pareil pour un des bagagiste et Aicha au petit déjeuner un vrai rayon de soleil. La gentillesse du personnel est incroyable. Les points negatifs: pourquoi chauffer qu'une seule piscine? et pas les autres? Les navettes pour les parcs ne sont pas pratiques.Elles ne déposent pas partout.
nancybD8412BG (8/5): A Great Venue - For both Personal and Business - A beautiful hotel with incredibly friendly staff - very professional and extremely accommodating - even when I arrived at 1:00 in the morning! The room was clean and the bed / pillows were comfortable - very important for someone like me with low-back / neck / hip problems. The fitness center was very well stocked with plenty of equipment from which to choose. The dining choices were excellent and the wait staff very attentive. Even though I was attending a conference at the hotel (very busy and often intense), the staff and facilities allowed for relaxation outside of work hours. Our event concluded with a "Margarita-ville" theme outside. Again, the food, staff and event space were fantastic. The hotel is very close to Disney (can see it from most of the hotel windows!) and a 20-minute ride from the airport. The hotel is a bit pricey - it was more affordable for me due to the Conference Group Rate - but again, you get what you pay for - high quality

Not only did the customer service representative not actually log a note in the system, but I was still charged a no-show fee for a room night that I did not occupy the room.
