David (9/5): It was beautiful and comfortable and I would highly recommend it. - The room was spacious and comfortable, the bedding was luxurious, and the bathroom was beautiful. I loved the bath products! There was a very faint but noticeable noise at night time that seemed to be coming through the vent. I eventually got used to it, but at first, it was hard to sleep through. Maybe a laundry machine??

Eliyahu (9/5): Excellent spacious hotel in the Bay Area - Location. Near downtown, south beach & bayside marketplace. The hotel is spacious. Excellent breakfast. There is a ship seafair (or something) is docking very close to the hotel and when they have parties (like was on one of the evenings during my stay), they make so much noise that the glass on the 19th floor moves and it lasts till 23:00.

X276XCdanielk (10/5): Every visit exceeds the last, dont bother scrolling, book the Miami Inti - We return often to the Miami Intercontinental simply because it is so very unique. Unlike many other properties where a guest is told why a request cannot be accommodated, the Inti finds ways to accommodate. The personnel are empowered to make decisions, and the result is true customer service, not frustration. For example, on this recent visit, my wife misplaced her cell. Thinking it might be in the car, which was in valet parking, they brought the car around, and three fellas searched it until it was found wedged between seats. Normally, we'd expect indifference, perhaps, and an empty apology, not the MIA Inti.

The recognition and hospitality from the hotel staff truly exceeded my expectations from the moment we arrived. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite, which made the stay feel incredibly special and luxurious. The Ambassador benefits and additional perks were handled exceptionally well, and the team made us feel genuinely valued throughout the stay. The lounge access, service quality, atmosphere, and location were all excellent. This was easily one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had, and InterContinental Miami did a fantastic job recognizing loyal IHG members. I would absolutely return again on my next visit to Miami.

nohag585 (10/5): Mother's Day Weekend Stay - My daughter and I stayed at Intercontinental Miami for Mother's Day weekend. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel was very well maintained, and the entire time was super pleasant and hospitable. The location is very close to the cruise port, MIA and Bayside. Breakfast at Ole was delicious with an omelet station daily and on Mother's Day they had a brunch with a carving station. the food quality is good. I recommend staying there for pre and post cruises, or if you are attending an event at the Kasya center. Hats off to the following employees: Ms. Carolina Hernandez: kind, welcoming and very responsive. Thank you Ms. Hernandez for your hospitality and my welcome amenity. William and Guillermo at Ole Restaurant - we appreciate your hospitality and time even though you were super busy the weekend we were there. I couldn't get the name of the European Restaurant Manager - thank you all for making our stay and Mother's Day a very memorable one.

ltD9205IE (6/5): Grad wknd - Upon arriving to the hotel, the front desk check experience was very nice. We were issued an upgraded room as a little Mother’s Day gift, which was so sweet. The hotel is lovely but shame on me for not reviewing the fees because $70 for parking overnight is crazy. In the middle of night, the room next to us started blasting music then later on around 3 AM the people in the very same room decided to have the loudest FaceTime or speaker conversation on the phone. While this is not the hotel‘s fault, it was so loud. Paper thin walls? The hotel served its purpose for our need. It’s a good location if you need to be downtown. It was clean and overall the staff was friendly.

However, your Blue Wave Bar Needs some serious attention. It should only be paying customers sitting at the bar and taking up table seats or bar seats. There were at least 8 to 10 people who were drinking your free water and not paying customers sitting there taking seats from paying customers.

I get that this is Miami but the property shouldn’t be a refrigerator. The thermostat didn’t work in the room and the only way to manage room temperature was to turn off the unit. My biggest gripe was with the drinking water situation. No free bottles at this luxury property. Instead you need to purchase a $9 refillable bottle. This is ridiculous and not healthy in a warm weather climate. A luxury property like the intercontinental should provide water bottles to its guests free of charge!

I noticed that I had ripped a button off a garment when I checked in, and while this was not a listed “service” of the hotel, Maria at the front desk went and found Aida, who tailors clothing for the staff, and she sewed it back on for me on the spot. The willingness to solve a problem for a guest, rather than just say “sorry, we don’t do that” is rare in hospitality these days. It’s obviously a lovely hotel in a great location, but that made the trip stand out.

EdwardW1984 (10/5): Miami Nice! - My wife Cecilia was reading consistently excellent reviews of the Intercontinental Miami from her fellow IHG VIP Facebook group members so we decided to check it out for ourselves (spoiler alert: the experience surpassed our already high expectations!). We received first class treatment well before we even checked in, as Stoyan from Guest Services reached out to Cecilia a week before we arrived to inquire about any special requests (e.g., pillow type, extra towels) and preferences for our welcome amenity. That personalized touch truly made us feel like valued guests and set the tone for a truly exceptional stay. Upon check-in, the guest services rep (unfortunately did not write down her name) greeted us warmly and immediately acknowledged the special occasion that we were there to celebrate. Thank you very much to the general manager who arranged for an extremely generous upgrade to one of their incredibly spacious Executive Suites - which was the same size as our NYC apartment! The suite was furnished with an extra large living room complete with a dining room table, a separate bedroom with its own sitting area, a spa-like master bath, separate powder room, and - get this - a private workout room equipped with a Tonal machine! The suite was beyond luxurious - we were so sad to have to check out at the end of our stay. The club lounge was among one of the finest that we have visited at Intercontinental hotels around the world - including those in Budapest, Vienna and Hong Kong. Special thank you to both Emilia and Stoyan, who provided first class service in the lounge - Emilia was especially superb, who arranged for a seafood offering during evening canapés when she noticed that Cecilia was a pescatarian. And she makes a mean Russian Mule, to boot! Also thank you to spa manager Christian, who was so kind and accommodating with respect to our use of the spa facilities (including the excellent steam room and sauna). The Intercontinental Miami checked all of the boxes and we are already planning our return visit to this amazing property!
T5688CIalyssag (4/5): Unimpressive, worn, slightly dirty - I stayed for one night. We arrived later in the evening after dealing with the airline misplacing my luggage. The front desk staff came off as a little rude and unfriendly. The room was unimpressive and quite dirty. I wish I took more photos, but I attached the photo of the coffee bar in the room. There was debris on the carpet. The bathroom had stains and looked generally a bit worn down. The shades in our room did not work. We had zero waters in our room. Complimentary water is not included, but the bottles for purchase had not been restocked either.

The manager Sean and our server Yaimara were extremely accommodating and very helpful. They made it clear what I could and couldn’t have and allowed me to order separate from the kitchen.

He checked on us regularly, had a great attitude, and truly helped make our experience relaxing and enjoyable. We really appreciated his professionalism and kindness. ndahp2026 (10/5): Lovely hotel and friendly staff! - Lovely hotel and friendly staff. Mayra was our server for breakfast at Olé and was very attentive. She also gave us great recommendations for things to do. Amy was our server at Toro Toro restaurant and went above and beyond. The hotel is in a great location on the bay. Walkable area. They have salsa night with a live band on the first Friday of the month and it's free to hotel guests. We would definitely be back.

He mentioned to us that he has 33 years of experience, and it definitely shows. What impressed us most was how effortlessly he planned our entire day, tailoring everything to our interests and making it completely stress-free. He went above and beyond to make our last day a special one.
jfp123809 (10/5): Great stay - Unfortunately we were only staying for one night because we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was quite spacious and the bed very comfortable, the shower was also very nice with good water pressure. We only had time for a light bite in the lobby bar with a couple of drinks, all good and served with a smile. This is a great location next to Bayfront Park with lots of bars and restaurants around 10 minutes walk away. We would certainly stay here again when next in Miami.

iblaurajc (8/5): Difficult stay remedied by excellent front desk crew - My four star rating is based on the satisfaction I received from the hotel (refunding hotel "service fee") after I experienced several annoying service-related problems. The pros: -hotel room was very well lighted (!)/bed comfortable (although a little soft for my taste)/ enough electrical outlets/extremely BEAUTIFUL view of the bay/good towels/bathroom well lighted also -hotel spa beauty salon experience was exceptional! I ran into traffic and was running late; they called another customer to switch times with me. I got my perfect blowout in 15-20 minutes immediately upon arrival -great Miami location -I was recognized repeatedly by front desk as IHG member The cons: - my room was never serviced during my two night stay -my room key stopped working twice the morning of checkout (before checkout time) necessitating two runs down to reception to get it re-keyed -bar service in lobby bar was the worst I have ever experienced. Total incompetence. We ordered two drinks; they brought only one 20 min. later but it was incorrect (lemon instead of requested orange peel); took a half hour to get both our drinks even though the bar was not crowded -water pressure not very strong -this is a convention hotel, which is not normally my preference, but I was there with a group
LLandTL (6/5): Meh. - The hotel is well located & close to the cruise port. Stairs lead to the entrance of the lobby making it difficult to navigate with luggage. When we arrived late at night there were no bellman outside to get the luggage. We had to go to the reception area to request for assistance. We booked the hotel through AMEX Platinum. This entitled our stay to receive an upgrade if available. The desk agent didn't offer one. When asked, she said our room was upgraded to an ocean view. We had booked an ocean view room. So her response was not appreciated The room was comfortable. We did not care for the bathroom amenities. There is a lack of attention to detail. Our reservation indicated 2 people but the room came with one robe and one pair of slippers. There is no complimentary water. Guests have to pay $9.00 for a refillable container that can be refilled in the lobby. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was mediocre. So much so, we skipped breakfast the second day. Service was lacking & the wait staff looked unhappy doing their job. The hotel is very busy and loud. It is not a relaxing environment. For a rate of over $600 a night with tax, complimentary water and a couple of slippers are a minimum (room rate was $518. a night).
chilenooo (10/5): Great experience at the club lounge - The club level at this hotel was the highlight of our stay, and I specifically want to thank Jacqueline and Sorayda for making it what it was. Both of them were genuinely warm and attentive every single time we came up — breakfast, afternoon, it didn’t matter. Sorayda brought me warm milk every morning without fail, always with a smile. Jacqueline took care of us throughout and was just consistently lovely. These aren’t small things — this is the kind of service you actually remember. The lounge itself is well done, the food is good, the space is calm. But it’s the two of them who turned it into something special. Thank you both. The hotel overall is great too — solid location on Chopin Plaza, nice views over the bay — but the club level and this team are what I’ll recommend to people.

She’s amazingly knowledgeable about the menu, the daily changes and availability of products. She’s engaging with clientele, able to perfectly code switch to her customer’s needs - happy party folk, families with young children, tired business profesh types just looking for a a relaxed vibe. Her suggestions were spot on, her knowledge of the area so helpful, and she was attentive without being overbearing or intrusive. Honestly - why isn’t this girl running the bar? She completely has the skill to move up the food chain of your organization and continue to enhance the customer experience and satisfaction.

Stephanie, our server, truly made the night special—she was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The drinks were outstanding, easily some of the best we’ve had, and perfectly complemented the overall vibe. On top of that, the view is absolutely breathtaking and adds so much to the atmosphere. Between the amazing service, fantastic drinks, and stunning scenery, this is definitely a place we’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend!

However, the speed and accuracy of my lunch order in the main hotel restaurant was somewhat disappointing. A colleague and I were seated for lunch at 1:30 PM on a Friday afternoon. We each ordered a salad, and it took over 45 minutes to get our order, and my colleague's order was messed up.
VivienH51 (10/5): BEST weekend getaway ever. We literally never left the hotel! - Highly recommend the club lounge, we had all our meals take care of and went out to explore for dinner. Jacqueline was so attentive and made sure our fav drink was ready at happy hour. The spa has dry and wet sauna, pool is well placed to maximizes the sun. The bed is my favorite part, sooooo nice and comfortable.
