- GSTraveller200 (10/5): Excellent Base for Exploring Hong Kong - To me, the JW Marriott in Hong Kong is a great spot to explore Hong Kong - especially if you don't mind using the MTR. The hotel is located basically attached to the Admiralty MTR station which gives one stop access to both Kowloon and the Central train station which provides access to the airport express. It's also possible to walk to the Star Ferry, the mid-level escalators and the Hong Kong Peak Tram. The atmosphere is fine even if the hotels interior is a bit dated. The hotel is undergoing a room renovation project which will hopefully brighten the rooms a bit. The rooms themselves are quite comfortable and for our stay very quiet. There are several restaurants at the hotel but we mainly ate outside the hotel. We did take advantage of the executive lounge which was well stocked with good options at breakfast and happy hour. They also offered an afternoon tea service. It would have been nice if the lounge had more spaces just to sit and relax, but the focus seemed to be on providing food. The service at the hotel was great. Our room attendant kept things very well kept and visited our room twice per day. The executive lounge staff was cordial and were happy to help out with special requests. I wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone looking to be in the heart of the action as the immediate area is pretty quiet. The hotel also isn't directly on the water and while some areas/rooms have views over the bay, many more do not.

Otherwise another fine JW Marriott. - The JW Marriott on Victoria Island(Hong Kong) used to have the BEST executive lounge anywhere. It had 2 top floors as a lounge with a super variety of foods. A few years ago, Marriott moved the executive lounge to the 5th floor and combined it with an evening steak(?) restaurant. The selection of foods has been greatly reduced. It is still ok, but a disappointment from the past. We recommended this place to friends and brought this couple with us.

- yangbness (8/5): Still hanging on... - The JW has been one of family's staples for several decades now - the location is still so prime and the views are what you expect when you come to Hong Kong. The hotel still tries very hard on service and you're usually not disappointed - on this stay, we asked the front desk for a luggage tag and they printed up a custom one with our family name and date on it! The rooms are OK - they are due for an update but still very functional. They're not too big, nor too small. The lounge is spacious and has great food - but many guests qualify to access it, so it's always a scene there. The lobby is a bit of a mess TBH - the popularity of this hotel means that the check-in lines are usually long and the bellmen desk is non-stop activity. So you have to be prepared for a little bit of a wait when accessing these spots. The fitness center is nice but small given the amount of guests that use it. No complaints on housekeeping. Be prepared to wait for elevators and for the elevators to be full. Again - business must be good for the JW and clearly people like to frequent it. It's less a business hotel now and more of a family hotel and there are tons of events (weddings) happening all the time here now.

Every team member I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and made the stay feel truly comfortable and relaxing. Front Desk – Alvin & Mandy Alvin managed his team very well especially Mandy was great right from check-in. Super friendly, efficient, and easy to talk to. She made the whole process smooth and welcoming, which really set a positive tone for the stay. The Lounge – Zita Zita was amazing in the lounge. Always warm, and genuinely caring. She made sure everything was taken care of and really added a personal touch to the lounge experience. Fish Bar – Nicole Nicole at the Fish Bar provided excellent service. She was knowledgeable, and very attentive, making the dining experience relaxed and enjoyable. JW Café – Woody Woody stood out at JW Café with his great energy and attentiveness. He was always smiling and checking in to make sure everything was perfect — really appreciated his service. Gym – Belo Belo at the gym was friendly and professional, and the gym area was well looked after. A great place to work out during the stay.Unforunately,i didn't have time to enjoy the Jacuzzi. In-Room Dining – Noble Room service was a highlight as well. Noble was professional, ensuring everything arrived nicely presented and exactly as ordered. Really appreciated the great service. Overall, this was a fantastic experience that truly reflects the high service standards of JW Marriott. Huge thanks to the team mentioned above for making the stay so enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend this hotel to others!

- ewatak (8/5): Perfectly adequate - I was upgraded to a corner (partial) harbour view, on the basis of my Bonvoy s tatus and their availability. It was a nice gesture, but because it was on a low floor, overlooking the busy Queensway traffic, (with audible noise) I asked to be moved to a higher floor, and the mountainside, (with much less traffic on Justice Drive). This was accomplished after I asked by phone twice, and eventually by going to Reception in person. Zarina at Reception fixed the change professionally and quickly, some 1 hour after checking in, and not receiving any response by phone. The room was a good size, and the 2 Queen beds comfortable. The bathroom facilities are very dated, and not much thought given to the old design as to where 2 guests can put down their toiletries; resolved by moving all the hotel clobber into the wardrobe. Again, only 1 luggage rack, so one suitcase remained on the floor throughout. I hope the renovations will address these basic necessities. JW Marriott is very well located in Pacific Place, with access to MTR and walkways to Central. We used the pool a couple of times when it was quiet and managed our 60 lengths workout. For a 5* hotel at around USD500 per night, this is in line with a generally expensive city. After renovation, (beginning in April), I expect the prices will increase dramatically. We did not use any F&B facilities, as they were busy and noisy. The staff were polite and professional, including the cleaning staff.

When I booked this hotel on the Marriott website, I chose a Harbor view room with breakfast included. As a Marriott Titanium Bonvoy member, I already knew what benefits I am entitled to so I did not expect much when checking in. Upon arrival from the airport, our luggage was quickly retrieved from the vehicle and we were escorted into the check in area of the hotel. The person was young and very welcoming. She confirmed my reservation and confidently stated we have been upgraded to a Harbor view room. I mentioned to her that I paid for harbor view room but received no response. She correctly stated that as a Bonvoy Titanium member, we would have access in the lounge for breakfast. I mentioned to her, I paid for a breakfast option and expected to have breakfast in the restaurant, far better than the lounge with my experience . She said that that rate means you would be entitled to breakfast in the lounge, I rolled my eyes but did not push the issue. The rooms are small and a bit outdated . Nice view of the Victoria harbor through the neighboring buildings . The bathroom are stocked well. Lounge breakfast was what I expected . Not very appetizing. As a westerner, I appreciate the western options but it was very limited. The usual runny scrabbled eggs, over cooked bacon and turkey sausage , I prefer pork. This hotel obviously panders toward Asian guests and I fully understand this as being in Asia. But, once in a while someone may pop in from the rest of the world. I can honestly say this was a poor experience and definitely will not stay at the JW Marriott Hong Kong in the future. Now, they may have a media department and will respond to this with a canned response with an apology and a we hope to see you again. Not a chance, so save your response !

До метро вроде рядом, но пока пройдешь все торговые центры по пути, кажется что дорога занимает вечность)) реально где-то минут 10 идти до метро.

While its prime location—arguably one of the best in Hong Kong—speaks for itself, what truly sets this hotel apart is its exceptional team. Having stayed at many Marriott properties across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, I have come to believe that the most meaningful hospitality often begins behind the scenes, with the housekeeping team. JW Marriott Hong Kong exemplifies this beautifully. After I requested decaffeinated coffee once, Jack thoughtfully ensured that only decaf was prepared in our room for the remainder of our stay—without any further reminders. This was more than service; it was genuine attentiveness and care. Although Wendy was assigned to a different section, she noticed when I appeared to be looking for a housekeeping staff member and proactively contacted the appropriate team member on my behalf. That initiative and awareness truly represent service that goes above and beyond. Nana and Gail, along with the entire housekeeping team, consistently maintained the highest standards of cleanliness and professionalism throughout our extended stay. Their warmth and dedication made our room feel like home. They absolutely deserve formal recognition for the remarkable consistency and heart they bring to their work. Our gratitude also extends to Front Desk Supervisor Vivian, who responded with sincere empathy and professionalism when we experienced a minor inconvenience caused by another guest. Klaris thoughtfully prepared a sweet farewell surprise for our children before our departure, leaving them with a lasting memory. Nicole made our final evening at the pool especially meaningful, and Mr. Sunny brightened each taxi departure with his warm smile and attentive assistance. Because of these individuals, JW Marriott Hong Kong was not simply a place we stayed—it became a true home away from home. I sincerely hope this review brings well-deserved recognition to the team members mentioned above. They embody the very best of the JW Marriott brand.

And there was some renovation work that was going on that was a bit noisy at times.
- Pauleen (8/5): Affordable luxury in the heart of Hong Kong - Room was really well appointed and lots of room for our family of 4. Location is very convenient and it's so easy to get taxi's and public transport from here (MTR just a short walk into Pacific Place). Being able to access the hotel directly from the Mall is a huge advantage, and there are so many eating options nearby, it's not necessary to only use hotel facilities. We opted for the inclusive breakfast which is a big winner by my family's standards - something to suit everyone (we call it "dining around the world at breakfast"). Definitely recommend this hotel. The air con in the room was not very powerful and we subsequently had interrupted sleep due to the high temperature. This isn't a deal-breaker for us, as if we were staying longer than 1 night, we would have asked for assistance, but definitely something to be aware of.

The hotel is classy and feels like home away from home. The staff are very nice and very professional from check in to staff at the Breakfast lounge. The hotel is situated right next to a fantastic mall. I stayed in room with a fantastic view of the hills of Hong Kong. The room is very comfortable and you will not be disappointed.t The staff went out of their way to find my wife and I excellent seating at Breakfast. Can't wait to come back to Hong Kong.
