- fscholar (6/5): Overall nice - We stayed a few nights at Suasana. The apartment unit is located inside Shama Suasana JB. We completed the check-in process based on instructions received via WhatsApp. The host required us to deposit MYR 300 through a website using a credit card. After making the deposit, we received instructions, along with the mailbox number, key, and other details. The deposit was meant to be refunded within 3–7 business days after check-out; however, it was only returned after 9 business days and only after we followed up.
The unit itself was overall pleasant, with a terrific view. It included a bedroom and kitchen, while the spacious living room featured a sofa bed. The air conditioning worked well, and the kitchen was equipped with cutlery, an oven, and a washing machine, with powder detergent provided. One of the best aspects was its location—just across the street from JB Sentral and malls like City Square and KOMTAR, making it very convenient.
However, there were some drawbacks. The unit was poorly cleaned when we checked in, and there was an unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom sewers, which we had to block off during our stay. The bathroom itself felt outdated, with poor water quality. We used water filters, which turned noticeably dark by the end of our stay.
The building also has a gym and a pool on the 33rd (?) floor, as well as a nice-looking café that we unfortunately didn’t get a chance to try.
- Voyage16891542036 (2/5): worse experience ever,manager was useless - useless company ,made a reservation online and even made payment.when we turned up to the hotel,they told us that this subhome thing is a scam and said there was no trace of any such reservation.Employees were not quite useful in helping us in our situation anhd said we had to try contacting booking.com who had apparently turned their customer service offline that day and thus we were unable to seek any help.When we had to cancel the booking,only a bit of money was refunded to us.Not even enough to buy a full meal
- 20traveller21 (2/5): Moldy, smelly & Substandard, no hot water shower for Subhome Suasana Suites - - Nirmal +6012 5138776 at Subhome will ask for RM200 deposit despite paid in full for the accommodation via Agoda.
- Nirmal will breach PDPA (Personal Data Protection Act) and ask for your picture copy of Identification Card (IC) to be sent via whatsapp.
- Be prepared for Nirmal not giving you his full name and respond to you via WhatsApp with poor English.
The accommodation:
- Moldy, smelly, non stick cooking pot flaky and severe scratched and toxic for human use,
- No hot water shower!
- toilet wash basin sink without stopper,
- cracks everywhere (poorly maintained),
~ Balcony door broken, unable to lock. Security issue! as near to common public area: swimming pool.
- No free car park, if park at road side despite parking ticket, be prepared to have your car/vehicle go missing by MBJB towing it away! and pay hundreds for fine and hundred for tow.

- azrin73 (10/5): Spacious rooms - Took two rooms 3 bedroom and 1 bedroom suitable for families with children you have the option of 1,2 or 3 bedroom suite. Very spacious with fridge, utensils, simple electric hob, kettle etc.. bathroom huge with separate bath.. check in was ok.. good facilities.. town centre location..7 eleven convenience store near lobby..and hotel is value for money..

- C2122BNsusanr (10/5): its a place with dreams - wow the rooms are so good and the Single rooms are really wonderful equipped. The swimming pools is also quite good and the breakfast should be arranged with the rooms not paying the difference from the rooms that should be included. We were the first clients when it was opened as we live in Johor.
- 955fifig (6/5): Just an ordinary home - The place is clean but not properly maintained. The wifi is down and the tv doesn’t work. When i informed the owner, owner replied me “ok” for wifi down and take it that I am too ignorant to on the tv using a remote! Luckily we stayed only for a night. Don’t even have the mood to take any pictures. Have to endure the whole night with the sound of construction going on beside the building. The location is perfect to visit City Square and Komtar Shopping Mall.
- yvonnecsg (8/5): Very nice decoration and new. Some risk involved though - Its next to Amari hotel, so its conveniently located next to the johor bahru custom. So location wise is fantastic for eating and shopping. Loved the fully equipped kitchen, fast internet and television channel with strong network. The service was good, owner was fast to respond to our question on how to retrieve access card. Its a big apartment with a living room and dining area. So my baby enjoyed exploring the place compared to the smaller hotel room.
Cons: The housekeeping can be better. Common bathroom floor looks dirty, the master bedroom bed had hair on the bed. There were also no toilet paper, or toothbrush or toothpaste provided, so you have to bring your own. We found towels in the washing machine still when we check-in, not sure how long they have been there so we didn't dare to use the towels provided. Toiletries were also all open and used by other guests before. There was a strong mildew or mouldy smell from the master bedroom toilet. So if you are not particular about the housekeeping portion, the place is very modern, stylishly decorated and fully equipped enough for me to cook all meals for my baby.
- Lhacuze09 (8/5): Good location - Suasana Suites exceeded my expectation.. The room is very clean with complete amenities such as toiletries, slippers and bathrobes no need to request. They also have microwave where you can reheat your food and some kitchenwear like pans, utensils and a induction cooker, toaster and electric kettle. But no plates to use. We used the gym and its impressive, clean and with a lot of exercise machines and equipment to use. The pool is quite small good for kids. The bathroom hot water is not working properly. The hair dryer difficult to use.
The hotel is very convenient, near to the restaurants, bars, shopping mall and custom. But is expensive compared in other hotels.
- cheske (10/5): Hidden treasure - This service apartment is part of the hotel and it is conveniently located near the checkpoint. Check-in process with Mr Nirmal was fast and efficient. Room was spacious and clean.

Overall: if u r here for a night stay I will recommend to you but beyond that better book directly from the hotel and not subhome. Will not book under subhome again. If want to book better direct to the hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The apartment was spacious but the furniture was Low quality. Check in was also not as smooth. Messaged the property for check in instructions but didn’t receive any response. Had to call Expedia to help get a response from the property. But was still not clear on the procedures. On top of it, the property did not have a reception.
- Cherychoclatecandy (10/5): Short Getaway - I made a booking few days before going to Johor. The studio aparment is spacious and clean. There are many amenities in The apartment and It is within a walking distance from The aparment to City Square Mall and Komtar JBCC. We mostly took grab to go anywhere. The price is reasonable on non peak hour rate. I would love to come back here again with my family

Poor upkeep and finishing.....toilet seats x2 broken, grouting mouldy and poor finish. The description of the property as a ‘home stay’ and not as part of the suasana suite hotel was lacking. The suasana staff on arrival did not want to help us. Nirmil, the host, did not communicate clearly.....no instructions prior to arrival of how to check in and get the key. I was left in reception uncertain of what to do. With 2 young kids in tow after a long haul flight this was not cool. I eventually worked out I needed to call nirmal (from my overseas mobile which = ++cost) who sounded like he’d been napping and most unfriendly. He then barked down the phone he’d forwarded a text of instructions (which he hadn’t) and kept on shouting ‘mailbox’ which made no sense. He then hung up. The text then arrived stating I needed to get the key from a specific mailbox. There was a code to access the room which was forwarded on further prompting. A thoroughly bizarre set up and difficult to navigate with a rude host with poor English communication skills. I travel a lot and I’ve rarely been so disappointed. My advice = AVOID
- 207jasminel (8/5): Service apt with a view - First time staying at this hotel, but it’s more like a service apartment. Location is very very good. Just across from city square mall. The apt is clean and tidy. Have gotten a 3 bedroom apt. Bed is comfortable and the apt design is very modern. Great view of Johor. The only cons are there is no towel and hand towel provided. Only 1 hair dryer provided. Probably the housekeeping forgot about the towel. Otherwise would come back again if traveling with big group.

But room doesn't have hair dryer. Lock isn't working. Toilet has sewage smell. Blanket comes with stain.
We booked two one bedroom suites. Hilarious thing is, one room is without wifi one room has. One room is without hairdryer one room has. But both rooms have issues with the door locks.
- _nurdiana_abaziz (10/5): Luxurious stay! - I would say that this was my 5 star experience at Suasana. The room was fantastic, with complete facilities and amenities. The kitchenettes were complete with fridge and microwave. Plus, the staffs were very friendly and helpful. DOUBLE THUMBS UP!
- peter_0091 (10/5): Best city apartment in Jb! - The apartment is big and spacious. Loved the pool at the top level and the view from the top is mesmerizing. Many shopping malls nearby and restaurants are many as well. They have a night market just about 5 minutes walk.
- Gauthamar (10/5): Great Location - My stay here was really good considering the fact that this place was dead middle of the city of JB. So convenient to walk over to Komtar & City square. Plus u just need to cross a few roads to get to the Malaysian immigration to cross over into Singapore. Service was good but the rooms were lovely to stay in. Great place to stay if you're visiting Johor Bahru.

- Koh (10/5): Excellent Location - The apartment is very cozy and spacious, it is the same as booking directly thru Suasana Suite. The only con is you need to contact thru what's App or phone. I love the TV, large and good.
Check-in time is 2.30pm.
The best part is the location, so close to shopping malls, good eateries and CIQ.

- Ya Ching (10/5): A good impression for the stay - Although when we just reach the hotel, we took longer time to contact the receptionist to check in. (But We were ahead of time for check in , at first we just wanted to deposit our luaggage. End up we check in earlier. ) I suggest outside of the bathroom can put a carpet avoid from slippery. But overall is still a good impression of the stay. Thank you for the service :) It was a good experience! and we like it a lot !!!

- TENG TENG (8/5): Not bad overall - It's really spacious and overall in good and comfortable condition. Ideal for families and group of friends. Only towels and shampoo/shower gel is provided so do bring your other toiletries need (e.g. toothbrush, toothpaste, shaver). Toilet in the master bedroom has lots of ants. Wi-fi connection is unstable and only connectable from the master bedroom. The check-in process is hassle-free although there is no reception counter, just give them a call and they will guide you accordingly.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - You cannot check in when you reach the property but contact the contact person and wait. It took me about an hour for checking in. The room was big but insufficient living necessities were provided. No bottled water, teethbrush, slippers were provided in this room so make sure you have to bring or buy before you reach the property. Luckily the property located next to two shopping centres so you can get all necessities you need.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The 3-bedroom property was not sufficiently clean - there were trails of ants crawling all over the place. Ants would crawl up on us when we were on the bed and sofa. The common shower had no hot water despite us switching on the water heater. Our repeated messages to Subhome regarding the water heater issue were ignored and the issue was not resolved during our 2-days stay (6 of us ended up sharing one bathroom). There were also no toiletries except two bottles of cheaply-scented body shower and shampoo - it was not sufficient at all for 6 pax over a 2-days stay. There were also no bathroom mats and we could not dry our feet after shower. We also had to ask repeatedly for the wifi password and despite reading our messages, Subhome refuses to respond. We had to write again the next day before we got a response. Even then, the password was inaccurate (we had to figure out by ourselves that Subhome made a mistake with the capital letters). This was an apartment for 6 pax but we were given only one access card. Lastly, Subhome was so unprofessional - it asked me to provide my credit card details over WhatsApp. When I refused citing security concerns, Subhome forwarded me other customer’s credit card slip to prove their point that this was their usual way of handling payment! This was a complete breach of customer’s confidential information. We are extremely unhappy with Subhome and we will be pursuing this matter directly with Expedia.
