The room was incredibly cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything you need to relax after a long day of travel. The bed was super comfortable, the space felt modern and inviting, and the amenities made it easy to settle in and recharge before the next day. One of the highlights of the stay was the restaurant. The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and much better than what you would normally expect from an airport hotel. It was the perfect way to unwind without having to leave the property. The service was also friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. If you’re flying in or out of Miami and need a comfortable place to stay, this is a fantastic option. Cozy rooms, great amenities, and surprisingly delicious food make it a stay I would definitely recommend.

- ApurvaN14 (8/5): Would definitely stay here again. - We stayed for 2 nights and took the free shuttle from the airport. This can be tracked using the link from their website. Check-in: It was smooth, uneventful and quick. Breakfast was included in my reservation, which I made through Booking. Room: AC is blasted in the hallways but once in the room, there are individual controls. The room was bright, renovated, and clean, except in front of the coffee machine. Washroom: Well stocked and spacious. Bed: King size, comfortable and good quality linens. Room: Newly renovated, and the view was of NW 42nd street. The photos are from 656. 2 points to note: * The light for the tv frame is on the front of the bench. * Before you check-out, confirm the charges. I was charged for breakfast even though it was already included. I needed to visit them again after my cruise to ge that removed, which was verified and promptly handled. I took the free shuttle back to the airport. Given the 10min walk to Target, a nearby (but expensive) SLT Cafe, yes, I would definitely stay here again.

- CamilleNYCDiva (10/5): Great Airport Hotel , a shuttle too. - This is the kind of place where you stay one night, coming or going. I requested and got an ADA room, king bed with a walk in shower. I especially loved that the room was very clean and the bedding was top notch. Great pillows, too. This hotel has a restaurant that is open late, so important when traveling and every flight is late. There's a buffet and menu. Eat from the buffet, since the menu food is made when you order, and takes forever. Great news! The shuttle to the airport really works. Actually, everything works.

- ChinaShrek (8/5): Nice airport hotel - I stayed here for one night because of a flight cancellation. The airport shuttle runs continuously every 20 minutes. You do not need to call to be picked up. Just be at one the correct pickup doors. That information is on the website. I arrived at noon but was unable to check into the hotel until 2pm, without paying a fee of $45. I didn't mind waiting until 2. Rooms are very modern and have been recently updated. Rooms have wood floors instead of carpeting. The bed was comfortable. The bathrooms do not have tubs. Instead, there have nice walk-in showers. There was no outside noise, which made sleeping delightful. The AC worked fine. There are not a lot of dinner options nearby, so I ended up eating at the hotel . The hotel restaurant had a dinner buffet for $37 but that seemed too expensive for what was being offered. Instead, i ordered the caesar salad with salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly. Service was good at the bar, which was where I sat. I would happily stay here again.

I come here often for work and see Sayda and Wilson. The two never make me feel like i am home away from home. - KidDocDMC (6/5): Average airport hotel - This place is about 10 minutes from the airport. A colleague says it’s where American puts stranded passengers. We had a business meeting there. Surprisingly, the group rate was more than the Sonesta member rate, so I booked the second way. Turns out that my rate didn’t include breakfast, so I shelled out an extra $27 for the buffet. Also had to pay $29 for “premium” internet, so I could take a business call. Rooms had a confusing set of light switches.
- Hosta_La_Vista (2/5): Check Your Credit Card Bank Statement Early and Often - BEWARE!!! We booked 2 rooms and pre-paid in full a 5 hour Day room at a Miami hotel through HotelsByDay. When we arrived we had to put up a $50 (pending) credit card hold. Two hours after we left we had noticed that both rooms had been charged an additional $93 plus $43 over and above the paid room. We contacted the hotel and was told there was no such charge, we contacted HotelsbyDay and they said the charges were in error and would be removed. 5 days later and the $50 was removed but not the other 2 charges. We contacted our bank to dispute the charges and they advised that it is a possible fraud against our credit card. We are still waiting for the reversals or for the credit card company to resolve and reverse the fraudulent or fake charges.
- L5574BUjasminet (10/5): Best Sonesta Bartender 2026: Wilson - Wilson is truly a great bartender at the Sonesta. From the moment I sat down, he was warm, personable, and incredibly attentive. His drinks were AMAZING. What stood out most was how sweet and inviting he was to every customer, even after sharing that he was holding it down alone because his coworker called off. Despite being extremely busy, he never let it affect his attitude or the quality of service. He was so kind and made everyone feel welcome. Wilson is an absolute gem and a huge asset to the Sonesta— Gracias Wilson! :)

Cruise line shuttle was $17 per person showed up an hour and 5 minutes late. It takes 1 hour 10 minutes to get to the cruise ships s take an Uber, it will cost 1/2 the price for a group of 6 and you won't run behind schedule.

- twalshy (2/5): Faulty Towers - Poor service , no WiFi , no working tv in the room , no bar , staff not hospitable,,no pool , no external seating area , the only benefit was the the airport shuttle We stayed for 5 hrs at a cost of $100 and were charged for 2 Pepsi and 1 water at $37 Absolutely scandalous we may as well of gone straight to the airport . How this hotel has a majority of positive reviews is beyond compression. Avoid this hotel at all cost , total rip off . If I had no choice but this hotel again I would stand in a bus stop for 5 hrs because there’s definitely more happening there
- HeckersLeeds (6/5): Just What You Expect for an Airport Hotel - No problems with this airport hotel in Miami. We had prebooked for a 1 night layover and our stay was marred by the airline checking in our bags to our final destination so we had nothing for our overnight stay. The hotel helped out with toothbrushes and toothpaste (complimentary) and they sold Old Spice deodorant which meant we weren't quite as unpleasant as we would have otherwise been! We didn't stay for breakfast and the room was quite busy from 6am to 7am when we left. The shuttle to the airport was very satisfactory, sufficiently frequent and quick. Decent room which was clean, well equipped and a good size.

- christinerU84JQ (10/5): Best front desk service ever!! - I was stranded at Miami airport and stayed at the Sonesta for 3 nights. The whole stay was great, comfy bed, quiet and good meals in the restaurant. However, the stand out feature was the excellent warm, friendly and helpful service of the front desk staff: Franceina, Antrice, Allen, Rick , Jasmin, Krystyn and Davian. - David (2/5): - I slected this hotel for the pool and airport shuttle, selected a poolside room as well for easy access to it for our stay. After speaking with person at check in that we would need to wait another 3 hours for our room to be ready I asked how to get to the pool. This is when they finally notified me that that the pool is CLOSED for maintenance. Nowhere during filter search on Expedia or when selecting the POOLSIDE room did it mention there is NO pool available. I would NOT have selected this location had the information been provided upfront.I have screenshots of hotel website advertising POOL including EXPEDIA site filters this location with a POOL. If the pool is not available it should not be marketed as having a pool. I am now fighting over refund as we booked another hotel also with airport shuttle and an actual availabe pool as advertised. Very poor experience all aroynd including spending an hour back and forth with hotel and Expedia when requested to cancel our stay.

- joshuah616 (2/5): Don’t Stay Here! - Extremely disappointed with the customer service. The front desk supervisor, Jasmine, was disorganized and unhelpful. My reservation was booked with the wrong dates, and when Hotels.com attempted to work with the resort to correct the issue, the staff offered little to no assistance. I’ve called multiple times, and each time I’m told to “call back,” yet nothing is ever resolved. The lack of competence and accountability is frustrating. Once I return home, I plan to escalate my experience to upper management.

- Leah (8/5): - The hotel is newly renovated so the rooms and lobby are attractive. The shuttle to the airport was a major benefit for me. I had an early morning flight. The staff are friendly and helpful enough. I stayed in a king room. I was hoping for a tub since it was the weekend. To get it I would have had to switch to an accessible-friendly room and lose out on the little view I had. I opted to keep the original room assignment. Room was nice and clean. I really liked the lighting options. Drinking water in the room was Evian @ $7 a bottle. You could fill your own bottle on the ground floor on the opposite side of the building from the lobby. I'm yet to find a shortcut. Keep this in mind for the coffee maker :-) They do have cheaper bottled water available in the lobby area. No additional blankets/pillows in the closet. The TV guide wasn't available. Overall, a decent stay. I see room for improvement.

Clean, very close to the airport and many restaurants and main places in the city . Rooms are incredible comfortable and renovated. Staff very helpful and cooperative all the time . Fantastic breakfast buffet . Airport shuttle service each 20 min. They allow me to check in early and prepared an small breakfast for us because we checked out in the midnight. I deeply recommend this hotel to everyone

- Curious17015250844 (10/5): Lorena the savior - I was not planning in staying at this hotel. But my flight got cancelled and we needed to spend the night at Sonesta Hotel. We checked in and then me and my family were starving. We went to the restaurant area and Lorena took care of us while taking care of other 50 people that was waiting to be attended. Super multitasking skills of this girl, being a bartender, order taker and server. I’ve never seen such a thing. Congrats to Lorena for always going above and beyond for her guests .

- 253kario (10/5): Best drinks ever! - My boyfriend and I decided to go to the hotel lobby restaurant for a drink, and we met the nicest bartender named Wilson. We asked what drinks he recommended, and he made two different delicious drinks for us! Wilson was not wrong! The lavender one I had was SO delicious! Hats off to Wilson and the crew that was on staff that night! They were wonderful.

They should update it online or at least mention the alternative. An extra hour in Miami’s traffic was no fun specially after driving a long drive . Also not convenient to call every time you have to get in or out of parking so they can let you in ,cards didn’t work

The only two things which stood out to me and for my personal experience was (1) the front desk staff took forever to check us in, and (2) small bottles of water could have been complimentary as opposed to the only option being to having to pay $7 for a bottle of Evian.

- Nick (4/5): - I am expecting a fifty percent discount as the hotel said they would honor it and notify you all as the third party. The fire alarm went off from 6 AM to 9:30 AM on the only night I stayed which was unacceptable. I have video proof as well if you will end up needing this.

Unfortunately the fire alarm went off at 6 am, luckily there was no fire and it was an alarm malfunction but no one came to turn off the alarm until past 9 am. The emergency stair area was functional but looked aged and wet.

- Jeremy (2/5): Horrible Stay - When it’s says view of the pool, that’s what was expected. Instead I got a view of a very large wall. Also at 6 am the fire alarm went off. Never stopped so had to leave and wasn’t able to shower, eat and get ready for the next part of my trip. Overall experience was horrible. Also it is prolly in the worst neighborhood. Didn’t feel safe to walk to a restaurant.
