• Lucas (1/5): Un taudis qui n'a d'hôtel que le nom - C'était un taudis, la salle de bain était immonde, le robinet cassé, des moustiques écrasés sur les murs, une seule des lampes de chevet fonctionnait, il y avait la boîte de capsules de café, mais elle était vide, le mini-frigo était déréglé et faisait un bruit d'enfer qui nous a empêché de dormir... C'était franchement inadmissible. Surtout pour ce prix. Ça n'a d'hôtel que le nom, n'importe quel AirBnb ou auberge de jeunesse aurait mieux convenu aux nécessités de bases, et moins cher.

• Ariana (8/5): Pleasant stay. Room upgrades would improve ratings noticeably. - Antonis was an excellent host. He was ready to provide support directly without any delay. Even though we have been given a standard room and not an upgraded room as shown on Booking.com, the stay was pleasant. The bed was very comfortable, and the room had a very good-sized TV. My high rating is because of the politeness and the supportive host as well as the comfortable bed. We had to ask for daily things that the hotel should have provided every day by default or at least checked, i.e., toilet paper, water or coffee cups (we ended up buying ourselves). The rooms should be cleaned every day unless the visitors ask otherwise. We have asked for a hairdryer. which was provided very quickly, but the next day it was removed from the room without being asked. The bathroom also needs improvement, as it was one open space with the toilet and no proper separation. As a result, whenever we took a shower, everything got wet, including the toilet and the floor.

• Evangelelli (2/5): - Προσφέρθηκε άλλο δωμάτιο απο αυτό που επιλέχθηκε, το μπάνιο δεν ειχε κουρτίνα, πόρτα ή οπουδήποτε να μη τρέχουν τα νερά σε όλο το χώρο του μπάνιου. Επίσης, υπήρχαν κάποια σημεία που θα μπορούσαν να καθαρίσουν καλύτερα, όπως εσωτερικά της λεκάνης. Υπήρχε μπαράκι κατω απο το ξενοδοχείο το οποιο έπαιζε ολο το βράδυ με πολύ δυνατά μπάσα, ετσι ωστε να τρίζουν τα παράθυρα. Επιπλέον, το δωμάτιο δεν ειχε διπλό κρεβάτι, αλλά δύο στρώματα μονά δίπλα δίπλα και η επικοινωνία τηλεφωνικώς ήταν αδύνατη με το προσωπικό μετά τις πρωινές ωρες. Μόνο με αναμονή και με μηνύματα.

• Ralf (7/5): - Hatte den Schlüssel verloren und mir wurde innerhalb von 15 Minuten Ersatz beschafft. Danke noch mal dafür. Sehr nette hilfsbereite Leute. Etwas laut wegen einer Bar gegenüber, entsprechend der Lage okay, da Schallisolierung. Wer empfindlich ist bucht besser ein Zimmer ohne Balkon, ohne Straßenblick. Die Zimmer zum Innenhofsind sind sehr ruhig.

• Birce (6/5): Outside easy to commute, inside clean but noisy - The location was easy to commute from and close to the Omonia Square (with bus, trolleybus, metro, and HOHO stops). The room was clean, and the check-in process was easy, even though we came later than expected. They are really good in chat communication, that they collected our feedbacks and claimed that they will solve the problems after my feedback. The windows were not enough to cut the loudness from the bars outside (the techno beats were inside the room with street view), the bathrooms were getting wet from the shower and the shower head was not working and/or not be able to hanged for handfree usage (the facility have been informed maybe this will be solved for later). We could not be able to see anyone in the reception to be able to ask any question.
• Colin (4/5): If you are expecting a hotel, skip this one. - Booked the room with the balcony which was actually more of a terrace - loads of space and a real sun trap in the morning. Be aware this property is NOT a hotel, even if it says it is. The reception was not manned during the stated check in/out times and there is no daily cleaning service. Speaking of cleaning this was very patchy - the large patio window had not been cleaned for weeks, same can be said of the scum build up in the toothbrush cup and the loo brush holder full of dirty water. The entrance was at night was quite dull and unwelcoming.

Μέσα στο ψυγείο υπήρχαν φαγητά από delivery (jackaroo) του προηγούμενου, αυτός που καθάρισε δεν μπήκε στον κόπο προφανώς να κοιτάξει εκεί. Επίσης το AC υπολειτουργεί. Τέλος το αποκορύφωμα ήταν το μπάνιο!!! Ο νιπτήρας να στάζει στο πάτωμα, η κεφαλή του ντους σπασμένη, μόλις γύρισα το νερό εκεί πετάχτηκε από την πίεση και φυσικά όταν κάνει κάποιος μπάνιο τα νερά βγαίνουν μέχρι το κρεβάτι επειδή δεν υπάρχει ντουζιέρα!

• willem (7/5): - Nice flat in a lively area, not expensive. Unfortunately the shower heads were both broken (I needed to clean one to use it) and it was hard to locate the blankets. I stayed here on saturday and there was music and shouting all night from bars across the street, so bring some earplugs or ask for a room at the back. OK it's in Exarchia, known for its nightlife and nothing the owners can help, and maybe I should have researched the area before I booked, but I didn't sleep very well.

• Jessica (7/5): Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend The Athens Lights to young travelers, couples, or groups looking for - Room was clean. The location was ideal for a short stay. Omonia Metro Station was less than a 10-minute walk away, and there were plenty of shops, supermarkets, and cafés in the surrounding area. Our room was clean and tidy. One of the blackout curtains was slightly damaged, which let in some light in the morning. The bathroom was also clean, but quite small — the walk-in shower design wasn’t very practical. Without a shower door or curtain, water splashed out easily and almost flooded the floor. There are bars nearby that play loud music until at least 4:30 a.m., but this didn’t bother us too much since we were exhausted after busy days of exploring (and a few too many drinks!). Before arriving, we emailed the property to ask about early check-in since we would be arriving before the official time. They kindly let us check in early because our room was already available. We had also arranged to store our luggage after checkout until 6 p.m., as our flight back to Crete was later that evening. Unfortunately, when we checked out, no staff were present at the property, so we had to use a nearby luggage storage service instead, which was a bit inconvenient.

Δεν υπήρχε σαπούνι υγρό στο dispenser. Μας είχαν αφήσει μόνο πετσέτες χεριών όχι σώματος. Δεν υπήρχε χρηματοκιβώτιο όπως έλεγε στη περιγραφή. Δεν δούλευε σωστά η τηλεόραση.
• Marcel (9/5): Eine neue Erfahrung - Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß für 2 Erwachsene. Der Balkon war super, die Aussicht auf das Nachbargebäude war nicht so schön. Das Bad war super. Anfangs hat der Zugang zum Hotel nicht funktioniert, wurde aber innerhalb von einem Tag repariert. Am Hotel und dessen Ausstattung sowie der Einrichtung habe ich nichts zu beanstanden. Auch der Lärm der Nachbargebäude war bei geschlossenen Fenstern kaum zu hören. Obwohl in Haus gegenüber jeden Abend Techno gespielt wurde. In der Straße gibt es drei sehr schöne Cafés um dort gut zu frühstücken. Auch Abendessen kann man in der Umgebung in zahlreichen Restaurants sehr gut. Ich würde wieder dieses Hotel buchen. In der Umgebung ist zwar viel Polizei aber auch viele Obdachlose und Drogenabhängige. Man muss jedoch keine Angst haben nachts in der Umgebung unterwegs zu sein.
• Geoffrey10 (8/5): A hidden surprise - Behind an inconspicuous facade In a leafy laneway, the hotel is very modern “industrial” design with great rooms and welcoming staff member Anthony. Nothing was a problem for Anthony he went out of his way to describe features of the area and even walked my wife to hail a cab in the busy side street. The hotel is located in an “art”’area of Athens, close to Omonia and museums with bars restaurants and coffee shops close at hand. We’ll be back!
• Kim (4/5): - Noisy and dirty. Never saw anyone at the reception desk in the entrance, but could call the number on the handwritten note on the front door to get in instructions for the room key. Couldn’t find a do not disturbe sign -that didn’t matter though, as there was no cleaning of the room for the eight nights I stayed. Room was not clean on arrival and bathroom smelled of sewer. After the first couple of days I was curious to see how long it would take before room would be cleaned. It never happened and I bought toilet paper myself when the provided roll ran out. No information of any kind in the room except from WiFi password. The bed was good and aircon worked well. Many mosquitoes during night even with windows closed and plenty of small ants. Very noisy from the outside area and from neighbours and other floor guests. Calling it a hotel is an exaggeration, no services of any kind or shared lobby area or anything. Just rooms.

• Georgia222 (10/5): Exceptional - Big apartrment in the heart of Athens with two beds and big kitchen, everything new and with great esthetic. The lady at the reception was so nice and sweet. Great value for money. Will visit again for sure. If you sleep light it might be noisy for you and will have difficulty in sleeping especially if you are on the first floor. I use earplugs so I didn't have any problem.
• Trek56590230751 (4/5): Room for improvement and has potential - You get what you paid for….. I’m a backpacker from southern Europe who has never written a review before, but I felt compelled to here. When I needed assistance most (having problems with the key to access the room) the two “emergency” phone numbers for the hotel were left unanswered several times for hours, making it impossible to get ahold of any hotel staff. Aside from this minor inconvenience, the room was minuscule and the bathroom would be flooded after a quick shower, which to me isn’t a big deal since I’m used to it. I gave this a 2 star review because it’s in an okay location and it provides average bare minimum essentials. The price is very low and it shows, but it’s honestly fine for a low maintenance traveler! Just lower quality but at a good and competitive price. Safe travels!

I guess you get what you pay for. - The room itself was clean and had all the amenities listed, but the property was somewhat difficult to find. I wish there were photos of the residence on the website. I was expecting more of a hotel feel, but its just a front desk person who is only there for certain hours then rooms on the upper floors. Upon arrival, we noticed that the shower was broken. We called the front desk staff to address the problem and he came up to the room and fiddled with the showerhead for some time then just shrugged his shoulders and said "well that sometimes happens here" and left. This was unacceptable as a working shower is a basic minimum amenity.

The man at reception (unfortunately didn’t get his name) was very helpful and recommended an amazing authentic Greek restaurant to us which we loved! You can hear a lot of street noise, and there was a night club very close where you can hear the loud music all night.

Bed was broken - felt like I am laying down in some crater… On top of it in the room was strange smell, something like cheap sope, or sope which belongs to the toilet. Okey price was low, but why the price didnt included at least minimum…? Better to pay more and stay in different hotel next time.
• Alexia (8/5): Excellent stay, great location, a decent clean urban hotel - This is a great little hotel in a very central location. Easy access to buses going around the city and Omonia train station. It does not offer breakfast, but there is a coffee machine in the rooms, and when we asked for a kettle for tea, they hotel brought one and left it in the room. Also, a small coffee/ breakfast place is just underneath the hotel, so you can get a decent breakfast. The 2bed rooms are a bit small but the double bedrooms where more spacious. If you are looking for something proper and not too fancy, this is a great, clean place to stay The 2 single beds room was a bit small. Not much light from the window

Two 2A USB ports under the desk for extra device charging was very appreciated . Mosquito repellent plug. Great location in Exarcheia, close to many cool bars and cafés. A metro ride away from the ancient attractions. Bus pass is 8€ for five days, worth it for this location. Some mosquitoes, in spite of the owners best efforts. Plug in that mosquito repellent thing right when you get in the room, it's there for a reason!

• Ezgi (8/5): Kısa süreli seyahatler için düşünülebilir. - Omonia Meydanı'na ve ulaşım hatlarına çok yakın, merkezi bir otel. Kaldığımız oda küçüktü ama işimizi gördü. Oda ve banyo temizdi. Banyodaki metal raf epey küflenmişti, değiştirilmesi gerekiyor. Yatak da çok konforlu diyemem, yatınca içine çok fazla gömülüyorsunuz ve sırt ağrısına sebep oluyor. 2 gece kaldığımız için çok büyük sıkıntı olmadı, fakat daha uzun kalsaydık çok sıkıntı çekerdik. Bunun dışında günlük oda temizliği, otele giriş-çıkış kolaylığı açısından memnun kaldık.

• Юлиян (7/5): I would recommend the hotel. - Communication with the hotel staff is excellent. Hotel location is very convenient in the city center. There is subway station near the hotel. The room was clean enough and the bed is very comfortable for sleeping. The street is very noisy during the night. There are a lot of bars with loud music. If you're on business trip you will need earbuds.

• Georgios (3/5): Poor - I was on the 2nd floor and there was not Wi-Fi at all. I asked the guy to fix it but it didn't work any kind of fix he did. In addition, the area is very loud at night so good sleep cannot be achieved. Finally, the room was not properly cleaned as I found in the bed linen long hair.

• Katharina (9/5): Good clean hotel in the city center - The hotel is very central located. Good rooms. Clean and comfortable. The staff is very kind and the housekeeping is amazing. Thank you so much. It is very loud from the bar next door. The reception is very friendly and professional but the opening hours are confusing.

• Dimitris (8/5): The room was perfect and with some changes in details will be even better. Keep on the good Job! - It's suitable for youths that travel to Athens to live the night life of Greece. It's worm and cozy place for two people; maybe couple. It's a club underneath that has great music, the problem is that if you work you can't be on the first two floors because you need to be fresh in the morning. They have coffee machine and tea and that is excellent. I wanted a door that blocks the water on the shower because the water goes everywhere when you take one. I believe a window net and some citronella candles, could be a wonderful investment; at least in one of the windows because of the mosquitos problem in Athens Center.
• Anonymous (7/5): I recommend this room for the location! - The room was nice and the location very convenient, really close to the city centre and in a live area. Unfortunately, the bar downstairs was really loud (everyday and till early in the morning) and even when windows were closed you could hear the noise. Also, there were many mosquitoes in the room, so that wasn’t really pleasant.
• Magdalena (7/5): Pros and one con - Really friendly and helpful staff, the room was clean and comfortable, the hotel is in walking distance to important stations: Omonia, Syntagma and Acropoli The hotel is on a street with clubs that play loud music every night, banging techno up until 4 am, sometimes music until 7 am, so keep that in mind

• Vicky (3/5): Really bad experience, worst location - Room was ok and bed was comfortable 😌 the staff were accommodating The worst location, scary at night, street was either pitch black or extremely loud with heavy rock music playing till 7AM, my room was directly across/next to bars made it impossible to sleep. 4 Bars to be exact...and the hotel room had a set of fome earplugs , which were useless in reducing the noise. I asked to be moved after the first night or was going to leave...l was mood to another room away from the front of the building. I would never recommend or stay there again
• Ciara (7/5): Good - The staff were very friendly, had a smooth check-in, and the location is near the city centre. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels provided. , Unfortunately, the accommodation is near a very loud late bar. The hotel does provide ear plugs that work well, but if you're sensitive to loud noise, it's probably best choosing somewhere else.
