Dirty, dark, foul-smelling, cluttered, hallway filled with luggage making it almost impassible (major fire hazard), stiflingly hot (no AC, no open windows). Basically, the pictures completely misrepresent the property. I'm a low maintenance traveler but it was simply too disgusting to stay. BEWARE: they avoid accountability by hiding behind a strict cancellation policy and booking.com will not help you recoup your money.

• Mazariegos (8/5): Visualización de instalaciones y otros implementos - El respeto que hubo con el cuidado de las pertenencias entre cada huesped no sufri de algún robo o hurto Solo lo que tendrían que mejorar un poco es que tengan más lockers, que haya un pizarrón o que avisen cuando ya esté el desayuno en la refrigerador porque no había indicaciones de eso y por eso nunca lo tome además de que ambos anfitriones hablen multilenguajes y que mejorarán un poco la apariencia de la fachada o el ingreso
• Adriana (7/5): Normal para lo que recibes para estar en LA - Fácil llegar, desde el aeropuerto tomando un bus en línea rosada para que te saque del mismo a cero costo y te lleva a un terminal para coger el bus o metro. Puedes comprar la tarjeta TAP o descargar en tu wallet la TAP y recargarla En el día y noche vas a ver personas en calle o “loquitos” sin embargo no te molestan o se te van, simplemente los ignoras. En el hostal la habitación femenina estaba muy linda sin embargo las camas son en madera y suenan mucho cuando estás en ellas, eso puede incomodarte o a las demás el sueño. Lleva tapaoidos Tienen un aire pero el tubo deben dejarlo en una ventana lo que hace que escuches más ruido del exterior y puedes sentir frío. Para ser mi primera estadía en Los Ángeles considero que me fue bien y me sentí segura. En el desayuno es confuso, solo dejan 1 tarro de leche en la nevera para el cereal y puede que se acabe y no sabes dónde tomar otro, tampoco sabes con el café, a veces había y a veces no, o estaba frío, dejan bananos y manzanas y se acaban rápido, la verdad cambié de hostal para que tuviera desayuno incluido y evítame algo de dinero, sin embargo, me pareció muy pobre. No ofrecen huevos, como en otros hostales que puedes tenerlos.

• Giovanna Bruna (6/5): Boa, mas não ficaria de novo. - Do quarto privativo, check in e check out automático e chuveiro era bom, esquentava bem e saia bastante água. Tem bastante vaga na rua do lado para estacionar o carro. A fechadura elétrica gostei bastante, tentaram entrar no quarto (pq confundiram o quarto)e não abriu. A segurança de dentro do hotel achei boa. No nosso quarto o ar condicionado não estava funcionando, então ficava mto abafado e quente, porque não tinha janela. O café da manhã era só cereais q eles deixam na noite anterior e teve um dia que teve bagel, mas foi pouca quantidade que n sobrou. Se for escolher o hostel porque diz que tem café da manhã incluído, não vale a pena. O chão é bem barulhento também, então tu escuta as pessoas entrando e saindo o tempo todo. A localização achei meio ruim, não me senti muito segura para caminhar, bastante mendigo por perto.

Kaffeemaschine funktionierte nicht. Personal war trotz Öffnungszeiten der Rezeption nicht vor Ort. Unser Zimmer hatte einen starken Eigengeruch. Sauberkeit war passabel aber auch nicht mehr. Das Hostel ist mit einem Auto nicht zu empfehlen. Mussten ewig Parkplatz suchen, wo man über Nacht parken konnte.

There was no hot water during our entire stay, and no information about it either. Another guest who arrived one day before us mentioned that there was already no hot water upon their arrival. The front desk staff told us it would be fixed, but it wasn’t. We tried to contact them again the next day, but by the time the front desk was supposed to open, no one was there, and we waited for another 30 minutes but still no one showed up. We also called them the same day before the front desk closed, but no one answer the phone. Besides that, the breakfast always ran out before 9am, no towel when we first arrived, and the air conditioning didn’t seem to work. 住宿期間完全沒有熱水，冷水冰到不行根本沒辦法洗。櫃檯說會請人修也沒修好，隔天嘗試溝通櫃檯直接no show，晚點打電話也沒人接，透過booking 溝通補償方案，booking 的回覆是「我們與住宿方達成共識」。熱水有技術性問題就算了，完全沒資訊也無法溝通，供給的早餐不夠吃，空調根本沒在動，說好會附的毛巾也沒有，奉勸各位絕對不要住這間，超雷。

Our room and the shared bathrooms and kitchen were so dirty, there were balls of hair rolling around, sticky walls, rubbish in the bathrooms and stains on the sheets! When flagged to staff they ignored us. Also location is bad, there’s nothing around.

There was no hot water during my stay. The kitchen lacks enough glasses and mugs for the guests. The trash bins should be emptied more often as they were always too full. AC was not working well in my room.

• Rafael Niceas (1/5): - My flight arrived @11:45pm, no staff check in available. but unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The instructions provided via email were unclear, making it extremely difficult to locate the main entrance. Once inside, there was a persistent unpleasant odor in the main hallway. The check-in process was also confusing; the email mentioned 'pods' on the left, but no doors were labeled as such, and the codes provided did not work on any of the doors I tried. To make matters worse, there were no towels available, and the shower water never warmed up. I ended up having to leave and spend the rest of the night in my car at the airport parking lot. Additionally, parking near the property is nearly impossible. I hope the management can improve their signage and maintenance, as this was a very stressful stay

• Van den Noortgate (8/5): - The shared rooms and shared spaces were really nice, it felt welcoming, it had a good vibe. The staff was friendly and helpful. I think the quality of your stay really depends on your roommates/other people staying there, but the layout really encourages social interactions. I had a great time with many fun interactions! My biggest problem was the cleanliness. The staff cleaned a few times while I was there, but it was very superficial. So it's mostly okay, but it could be so much better! The rooms also get quite hot in the summer, although there is air-conditioning, but not enough to keep the rooms cool. Also, be aware that this is a real hostel, more old-school, so you don't have a lot of privacy. The newer hostels often have curtains around the bed or pods, but here I just had a normal bunk bed. This isn't necessarily something negative imo, but keep that in mind.

• cristian (8/5): It was very nice and as expected aside from the one staff member being inconsiderate - It was as described The one staff member the Asian guy with longer hair was super disrespectful in the common area just smacking his food and not respecting the other people in the space.He stretched out on the couch taking up majority of the space which was inconsiderate of others. He really rubbed me the wrong way as I’m a very respectful person and that to me was not ok at all
• Renata (1/5): Not recomend if you re going to stay more than 2 days, if you have a problem it is very difficult to deal with the staff - I asked to talk to the manager about an issue and that never solved. The person in the front desk told me they could no disclose the name of the manager or tell when the manager would be working. I booked my stay for the entire week and after try to stay after 2 days, I gave up because the place wasn't clean when I arrived, but the worst experience was trying to sleep. All night long people kept coming and going all the time, make loud noises and that was really hard to sleep. Also, I noticed people acting weird, and I didn't feel safe. I just want the refund of 3 nights because I didn't stay there since it was unbearable. I called booking and they didn't solve the problem as well because they were waiting for the manager to accept my request.

W części wspólnej również zapach nie był za ciekawy. Niska cena obiektu w ogóle nie rekompensuje kosztów które poniesiemy za dezynfekcje wszystkiego.

(Dec26/2025) - NONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The staff member named AJ, who was on duty on the evening of Dec 26, 2025, treated customers in a EXTREMELY RUDE and unprofessional manner. I stayed at this hostel for three nights . I want to be clear from the start: the way I was treated by a staff member named AJ on my check-out day was extremely disrespectful to a paying guest and unacceptable in a hospitality setting!!! I checked out properly and on time, followed all stated requirements, stored my luggage since my flight was later that evening, and returned to the front desk to return a borrowed lock and complete my departure. At no point did I return to my room after check-out. While I was at the front desk, AJ repeatedly ordered me to leave, using phrases such as “You should leave” and “You must leave,” and said, “You are not supposed to be here after you check out.” His tone was abrupt, command-like, and lacked basic courtesy. Being spoken to this way as a guest who had complied with all stated rules was shocking and deeply upsetting. AJ insisted that guests must leave the property immediately after check-out; however, this policy was never explained to me at check-in and was not mentioned in the pre–check-in message I received from the property, which otherwise listed many important details such as check-in/check-out times, deposit requirements, and parking rules. He then pointed to a printed notice on a board covered with multiple papers, but this notice is not clearly visible to guests during check-in because it is placed on a foldable desk panel that does not face guests when staff are seated and is difficult to read from the check-in position. Guests and businesses are equal parties, and in the absence of any safety concern or serious issue—and especially when staff failed to clearly communicate a rule in advance—the property has no justification to speak to a guest in such a rude and confrontational manner.

• Piotr (7/5): Very decent place in LA - It has everything one needs, but The Steady exceeds with one thing: it is so much cheaper than any other place. And there is still coffee, breakfast, WiFi, and plenty of restrooms and showers to use. Loved how functional the place is. Very good: the left overs from other people, especially in the bathroom - very useful. On a chilly night, the windows are not fully closable so it is kind of chilly inside. Otherwise - it was fully functional.
