- Keith (8/5): Great little hotel. - The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. There was a lot of noise from the other guest rooms. The mini split in the bedroom worked really well. Unfortunately, the rest of the unit depended on that unit too, so the bedroom was always colder than the rest. Some outdoor things needed maintenance too. It was an easy walk to convenience stores and a few little restaurants. The staff was really friendly. I would have liked to have stayed longer and will opt for this location again if I can.

- Wilson (8/5): Could be better but not bad. - Ok so overall 3.5/5. I arrived and my room wasn’t available. They actually told me it shouldn’t have been available to book because the A/C didn’t work in the room. So they put me in a different room. They were initially trying to charge me the same price even though the room I booked was a bigger suite. The next day they fixed the A/C so we moved to the bigger suite. Also there was a in room jacuzzi that they didn’t tell me wasn’t working until I arrived. I Was still charged full price though It was very quiet and other than the cars in front of the hotel, you would never know there were other guests. They don’t supply small bathing towels or medium face towels so bring your own or stack up on the big ones they do provide (also pool towels) Nobody used the pools but we did. It was cleaned each day. The outside bar is closed. It’s actually not a bar at all. Just a bar structure not a bar service . Hope that makes sense and they didn’t tell us that until we got there. The Hotel is in the hotel zone so it’s close to everything. There are a few shopping and food places close by as well. Bed was comfortable, room temperature was great. Lastly, The water pressure for the showers (both rooms) isn’t great at all.

There is a door to the bathroom (I couldn’t tell in the pictures and was worried about this). The bed is just ok. Overall, we enjoyed staying here!

The place was quaint and quiet, nestled in a neighborhood but with easy walking access to the main street where the bus could be taken. There are several restaurants and small shops nearby, including a pharmacy. I always felt safe. The pool is smaller and half covered but it was still a chill spot to hang out. The people who work there are so kind and friendly. They also offer use of their kitchen and have more amenities than they list.

- C3380YLmicha_m (2/5): Avoid, scammers!!!! - Avoid it if you don’t want to ruin your vacation. I booked a room on Booking and paid in advance for the entire stay. When I arrived, it turned out they didn’t have my reservation and there was no room available at the hotel. So, after an 18-hour journey with two heavy suitcases in a foreign country, I had to look for a new hotel. I do not recommend these scammers

- Jubal (8/5): - The property was a good budget option if you want to be economical and want to avoid the resorts. It is a good place if you intend to be roaming around the city and will be using the hotel only to crash at night like me. The room given was very spacious enough for 2. It’s nice and quiet and around 20 mins walk to the main happening area. What I did not like about the place was that they did not have someone sitting at the reception 24 hrs and so for any problem I had to call the number listed on Google and then inform the person who picks up who will then communicate it to the guy who is somewhere in the premises. This is a major inconvenience and turn off.
- David (6/5): Meh - This is my second stay here the first was in 2019. I really enjoyed it then. This time was a bit rougher, 7 days and no room cleaning. The outside still has the same unfinished rock facade wall from 2019 and the same construction debris. The staff was still very friendly and are the highlight of the place. It is unique and quiet.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel - I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a cheaper option then a resort stay but something still close to the main hotel zone. The location is perfect as it has stores 5 minutes away and the main beach (playa chac mool ) is only 5 minute drive or 30 minute walk. The hotel itself is very nice staff are friendly I stayed in the blue diamond which was very spacious and had ac and a balcony overlooking the pool . The only negative is there is no door between the toilet and room only covered by the wall.

- WAYNE (8/5): - Not the quietest place , but its good value. safe area. 15-20 min walk to beaches, grocery store. Topaz room needs a new mattress, sagging on the side close to the tv. Wish Topaz room had a min fridge. Strong cool AC, hot water in shower lasts 1 minute then starts to cool. Excellent wifi strength. Pool was maintained every morning, pool lounnge are swept and outdoor furniture kept clean.

- Joiner (4/5): Mejor buscar otra opción. - La casa es muy bonita mas sin embargo la habitación que nos tocó (Red) no estaba para nada bien, tenía un olor impregnado a cigarro, el colchón es muy incómodo, la TV nunca funcionó, el aire acondicionado no enfría bien, la señal del internet es pésima, prácticamente no tuvimos nada de señal y la ropa de cama olía muy mal, la piscina es pequeña y siempre se veía sucia. Más debo de rescatar la buena atención del personal.

- Bridget (2/5): - This was the single worst hotel experience I've ever encountered. Since we were in Mexico I was careful to choose a hotel that stated there was English speaking staff, there was not. The room itself was stuffy and had an almost stale towel smell. We opened the windows and turned the fan on the highest setting to air it out. The plumbing to the bathroom sink leaked onto the floor. The shower barely dribbled any water out. We had to keep refilling our water bottle in the sink and pouring it on ourself to wash our hair and body off. One of the bathroom lights did not work and the mirror had rust around it. The towels were old, frayed, and rough. The comforter on the bed was worn thin in areas and had frayed seams. The pool was not kept clean and although it was very hot we absolutely did not want to swim in it. The door to our room was not even sealed, you could see into the hallway. And so you could also hear everyone outside of the room as well. But then! The worst thing of all happened! Some complete stranger swiped a room card to our room, opened the door, and walked right in. While we were in bed! All he said was, "Oh sorry, guess they gave me the wrong room card." Seriously?! We ended up moving furniture to barricade the door shut the rest of the night. But regardless, neither of us were able to sleep. At one point we even considered checking out and just paying for another room somewhere else. It was horrible!

Both rooms: all sheets, towels were very stained and very old Shower water smelled like sewage Pool filter was not functioning at all, quite dirty Mold growing on ceilings Ceilings cracking and breaking Pillows were lumps of nothing, and stained Beds very hard, and stained Wifi was almost unusable in both rooms Not very quiet, couldn’t get room to be dark enough Pros: No insects / bugs Decent location, closest beach access is 1.6 km away. Cannot access beach from across the street. Staff tried their hardest with what they were given. They tried to bleach the sheets and towels, but they are too old to be bleached again. Cleaning lady did a good job every time, she did everything within her power to make it clean. Reception lady was very nice and helpful. This place is starting to really get old and broken down, owner does not invest enough in proper upkeep. Will not return. If renovations are done, it could be a nice place. Or at least get new sheets and towels! It’s gross!
- Carol (10/5): - Casa Maraf Hotel is a great value! The location is a short walk from a few food options, and Tortuga Beach and the main Hotel District are also not far! The location is quiet and safe, and the room has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The staff are incredibly helpful!

- Kiuk (10/5): One of the Best Budget Hotel in Cancun Hotel Zone. - Staffs were super friendly. Staff helped me to check-in 3 hours early. The room was very clean and spacious. I wanted to stay here more, but it was already booked. I’ll definitely stay here again if I come back to Cancun. The location is little far away from the main club area, but it’s good exercise to walk. There are convenience stores and restaurants in 3 minutes walk, so it was convenient.

- Flassoum (10/5): - I was recently in this place and I love it. It’s close to everything like restaurants, beaches, downtown, public transportation etc. The area is known to be a private area which provide an extra security. You can literally be walking at night without no safety concerns. This will definitely be my go to place anytime I visit Cancun.
- Charles (8/5): - Love the super soft down pillow! The mattress was too hard though. Close to a little market and convenience store in Mexican food strip mall. All in all great place for the money.

- Meagan (10/5): - This little hotel is in a perfect location, just a short walk from the Presidente Intercontinental on the main road, and within longer walking distance of Playa Tortugas for the Isla Mujeres ferry. Or just take the bus that comes on the main road every few minutes! The hotel itself is quiet, well-laid out, and offers the basic amenities. (Only 9 rooms, so there isn’t always someone on site, just FYI.). A/C, TV with Roku (Netflix/Prime/Spotify), and two pillow each! The person who met us at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We’re low-maintenance and this was a low-maintenance, chill place. I would definitely recommend it to anyone on a budget or who is spending their time mainly elsewhere. Also, just out the front gate on Calle Quetzal is a taxi stand and across the street is a small shop for things you may have forgotten, snacks, etc. On the main road just as you turn into Calle Quetzal is a row of little food places and a pharmacy, and a convenience store/gas station. Couldn’t be more conveniently located!

My room had a small kitchen with a seating area. Great for friends or family.!!!

- jenn-ac-1993 (8/5): Great little spot! - We stayed in the black diamond suite for a couple of nights in November 2020 and had a great stay! The bed was very comfortable and the room was huge! Shower was nice too. The hotel could do with a little bit of paint in places but it doesn't detract too much! We stayed shortly after several hurricanes had hit and during a storm so the pool was not usable which was completely understandable! Location is good - just round the corner from central Cancun so you're only a short drive away. Would definitely recommend!
- Alejulia (4/5): They claim to be a luxury hotel, but it is really not - The staff was really nice, but the hotel itself is definitely not a luxury hotel (maybe it was one 10 years ago). The light in our room was not working one the first day, on the second day the air-condition was leaking so that my bag was completely wet and every time when it was raining, water run down the wall in the bathroom so that the floor was full of water. As you can see on our photos, the ceiling and wall in the bathroom are yellow. That means that the "rain issue" is not new and I don't know why they don't fix it. Coming to the pool: the pool pump doesn't work, that's why the water is stale and not clean at all. In addition there was no ladder to go out and most of the time the pool was not really full (3/4 full). So you need to have strong arms to come out of the pool. On one day, a woman was swimming in the pool and she was not abel to come out. My boyfriend handed her a chair so she could climbe out of the pool. There were no parasols and the plastic sunlounger were dirty. It was also not really comfortable because there was no mat to lay on. In sum we can say that this hotel did not fulfill our expectations at all.
- topkrikor (8/5): Quiet hidden gem - I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. Very clean, quiet and large rooms. Netflix included , wifi works very well. And if you have any issue just ask Plutarco the maintenance guy and he will take care of it instantly! I would go back just for him! Its in a side street off the main Kulukan Avenue, very private!
- Jeannensworld (10/5): Exceptional stay - The amazing staff makes the stay very comfortable and home like. The staff is always there to help improve your stay and experience. There is a lovely pool, beautiful balcony to view the sunset for the Blue Room (very spacious). The hotel is very close to a currency exchange, affordable eating and a GoSmart (like a 7/11). The bus is also easily accessible. Will continue returning.

- abokremar (10/5): Great Place - I rally enjoy my vocation in this hotel, big rooms worth prices. And the stuff are really helpful and so friendly. close to the main area 15 mins, walking and 3-5 mins with a bus close to the beach too. Hope everyone visiting Cancun and visiting this nice hotel.

- Lawrence (4/5): Skip this place - look elsewhere - for some reason, with all the nice hotels in the Zona, I picked this one. Must have been the pictures and the reviews. Their ad is deceiving - it is nowhere as nice as the photos. No one is at the front desk after 9. Lucky I made it just in time or else I would have had to try and call someone after hours. The room was nothing like the photos. they had me upstairs and with no elevator, I would have had to haul all the luggage up there. They did give me a room downstairs right next to the lobby. Lamp was broken, power outlet wouldn't work and worst of all - THERE WAS NO HOT WATER! Asked the staff to fix it and they said they turned the heat up. That didn't work. That nice looking pool - forget it. The water was dirty and stuff floating on top. To top it all off, I paid $132US. Checked a few days before getting there and rooms were $50. Asked for credit - NO WAY JOSE. This place is a RIP!

- 99Reyes (2/5): Bad smell, shared bathroom, poor amenities, terrible service. - Take your business elsewhere!!! There is a TERRIBLE odor throughout the entire complex and in every room (we tried a few). The rooms have SHARED bathrooms which is not at all listed on the booking. The SHOWER in the shared bathroom had a flow that was little more than a drip and definitely not ideal after a sandy day at the beach. There are no essential items like mirror and tv. After about 30 mins we went to get a refund on our room and find another place (plenty nearby)

They share their culture with you specially Christine at the front desk she is awesome and will stand up for you. I was a victim of racism and prejudice on a tour bus/tour guide while I went to visit Tulum, Coba, and Playa del Carmen. Christine stoop up for me. Great stay and amazing experience.
- Coloradotm (2/5): This IS NOT a hotel !! - Buyer BEWARE!! This IS NOT a hotel at all. Just a run down house in a residential neighborhood with ABSOLUTELY NO SIGNS whatsoever — we pulled up around 2:30pm after finally finding the place — got out of the car and it smelled like we drove into a sewer toilet pipe!! Some sort of paper on inside of windows blocking what’s inside - very very shady place! Not ONE car in the parking area- NOT ONE SIGN that says it is a “hotel” Something told me we were being watched - had my daughter in the car, so jumped back in and called HOTELS.COM! of course they could not reach the hotel, kept me on hold a long time- then the call was disconnected!! Got back on with HOTELS.com and they claim the manager at the front desk says we NEVER CHECKED IN!! check in where?? WHAT “FRONT DESK”?? It is a run down house in a neighborhood without a sign what so ever - and I’m suppose to take a chance and go up to a door of this so called hotel!??? In Mexico ?? WTF. I was born at night, but not last night — If you smell a skunk- then it is one!!! DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!! they refused to refund our money !! Well Hotels.com should NOT be representing such a horrible place!! The photo has been absolutely photo shopped. I can send you real photos of this dive!! LOOK AT THESE PHOTOS!! Would you take a chance and get out of your car ???
- Teresa (2/5): STAY AWAY- spend your money elsewhere !!! - THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL SCAM! not a hotel at all- run down house in a not so great residential neighborhood !! Not one sign, not one car in the lot, smelled like sewer when we got out of the car!! Omg!! Nightmare gone real live!! Tried to call Hotels.com to cancel - they suggested we stay in the car and drive somewhere safe while they contact the front desk!! What damn front desk?? Wasn’t even a HOTEL... not even a MOTEL !! Run down looking house with paper or something taped to inside windows... major RED FLAG place with not ONE SIGN indicating we were even at the right place !!! Photo on HOTELS.com has been major photoshop touched up to reflect a beautiful place. NOT TRUE FOLKS!! I took photos!! See photos of the real property. Run fast from this dive of all dives!! THEY REFUSED TO REFUND MY MONEY!! Said I was never there — how did I get these photos of this horrible place ??? As a single mom with a daughter in the car ???? Would you take a chance and go up to the front door ??? In MEXICO???? Hell to the NO!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing! - Amazing location. The people were extremely helpful and attentive. I definitely recommend. It is located downtown in the bar area and you are able to walk to them. Clean, quiet, and the staff were always courteous. Will be staying there again next time we go!
- Kaleigh (8/5): Not great service - The hotel is nice. A bit cheap feeling, but clean and close to lots of shopping. It's very quiet which is great. However, they say they have an airport shuttle which we asked to book and the next day the day crew acted like I was crazy for thinking they even offered a shuttle service and said the best they could do was call us a taxi. Their breakfast wasn't served until 9am so the free breakfast wasn't even approachable if you had to leave in the morning.
- Abhijit (8/5): - Room was very clean. Hotel was very quiet. Fast wi-fi. Staff manning the reception & room boy extremely courteous & respectful. Area is nice with shops nearby. The breakfast service starts at 9 AM which I felt was very late. However there is one big disadvantage. The electricity fluctuated very badly to the point I was concerned our electronic devices might be damaged because of the extreme fluctuations & surges. The staff put the blame on the grid. The airport super shuttle charges US$12/- one way per traveler to this hotel.
