- PSPJeff (10/5): The Club Lounge is fantastic! Staff are wonderful! - Recently completed another short staycation at this property. The staff are always so friendly. But for me, the Club Lounge is what really sets this property apart. I am Diamond level with the IHG One Rewards program, and have achieved complimentary lounge access by having stayed more than 40 nights with IHG last year and selecting Club Lounge access as one of my Milestone rewards. In this hotel, they have the best buffet spread I have seen in any Holiday Inn Club Lounge and better than many 5 star hotels. The staff in the Club Lounge are friendly and kind. It has become the reason I choose this hotel for staycations in the area. The rooms are a little dated, but they are very well maintained and the beds and pillows are comfortable. Strong water pressure in the shower and fluffy towels. And no street noise from outside. What more could you need? Also highly recommend The Brasserie Buffet for dinner. The Asian side of the family always enjoys the selections here and particularly the seafood. Our party of six all said it was a great meal. Hari's Bar has a great Happy Hour from 4-7 as well. As for location, you are not far from the heart of Silom, not far from the riverfront, not far from the Grand Palace, a short Grab (our Uber) ride to anything you would want to see. Highly recommend this hotel, particularly if you have Club Lounge access through Milestone Rewards on IHG One Rewards.

- monicasK2989DP (10/5): Great stay at holiday inn Bangkok silom - The is our third time staying in this hotel this year and it didn't disappoint. This hotel is located on vibrant Silom Road, making it incredibly convenient for shopping, supermarkets, massages, clubs, bars, and restaurants. As vegans, we really appreciated the number of vegan-friendly restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. We stayed during Songkran water festival and the hotel is located in the heart of the festivities. This time we stayed on the 27 th floor. The room was spacious, cozy, modern, clean, and quiet, with great views of the Bangkok skyline and beautiful sunsets. Lighting was adequate, the air conditioning worked very well, and Wi-Fi connection was excellent throughout the property. The room was equipped with basic amenities, including a kettle, cups, utensils, instant coffee, tea bags, and bottled water which were restocked daily. There was also a small refrigerator, ironing board and iron, a safe, and a smart TV. The bed was very comfortable, with four pillows (two soft and two firm) and soft, clean linens. Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping the room spotless and well stocked. Closet space with hangers was provided, and we were able to request additional hangers as needed. Storage was more than adequate for our one-month stay, with enough drawers and space to unpack comfortably. The room also had a small couch for relaxing and a desk with a comfortable chair for working. The bathroom included a separate full size bath tub and a large walk-in shower with two shower heads and good water pressure. Everything was clean, and basic amenities were provided daily, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, toothbrush, shower cap, shaving kit, and vanity kit. Slippers were available, and robes were provided upon request. Breakfast was buffet-style with a good variety, though vegan options were sometime limited. The executive chef and sous chef , however, were very accommodating and happily prepared vegan dishes such as tofu scramble, tofu and vegetable stir-fry, and chickpea scramble upon request. The waitstaff were extremely friendly and attentive. A special mention to Patcharin, who greeted us daily with such warmth that we felt like family. The doormen and security staff were friendly and helpful, contributing to a welcoming and safe atmosphere. Special thanks to Yoyo, who consistently greeted us warmly and always took the time to ask about our day. The staff in the Executive Lounge were exceptional. Special thanks to Achariyaporn, Chananticha, Netdao, Russarin, Thunyaporn, and the chefs, who went above and beyond every evening to provide outstanding service along with delicious, nutritious, and creative vegan options. The hotel does not offer a self-service laundry facility, which would have been helpful for our longer stay. There are, however, several laundromats located within walking distance. The price is fair value for the location, amenities, and overall experience. Overall: this is a comfortable, well-located hotel with excellent service and solid amenities. We especially appreciated the warm, attentive staff and the convenience of the location. We are looking forward to stay here again on our next visit to Thailand

The shower door was leaking, and water was on the bathroom floor everywhere. 3. Bathtub drainage faucet was so loose that it was inoperable and came out in my hand. 4. The refrigerator was empty and there were no drinks or snacks available. 5. The food portions were very small and prices were pretty high. 6. The water tasted salty in the swimming pool, as a result of which my eyes used to hurt.

Location: The hotel’s location is one of its greatest strengths. Situated in the heart of Silom, it is perfectly positioned near major tourist landmarks, shopping areas, dining spots, and cultural attractions. During Songkran, I especially appreciated how easy it was to access festivities, nearby temples, and riverside celebrations, while still having a peaceful place to retreat to at the end of the day. The proximity to public transportation made getting around the city effortless. Atmosphere: The overall atmosphere of the hotel is welcoming, relaxed, and well-balanced. Despite the lively energy of Songkran outside, the hotel maintained a calm and refined ambiance throughout. The lobby feels spacious and inviting, setting a positive tone the moment you arrive. - 500dank (8/5): Good stay, but pool bar needs a bit of improvement - In June last year, I stayed in the InterContinental Bangkok. So for my recent stay in the Holiday Inn Bangkok Silom, it was very hard for me not to compare the two. Both were Reward Night booking, but unfortunately the IC did not have availability. So I ended up booking the HI for 6 nights for 87550 points (after I cancelled and rebooked, saving another 16k in points). So don't forget to regularly check Reward Night bookings. And checkout my other post on how to use a Confirmable Suite Upgrade (CSU) on a 5 day plus booking! I arrived in the morning at just before 08:00, my room was ready at 10:00. I killed some time in the lobby, and got offered a free drink. I chose guava juice. When I ordered a second (paid) glass of guava juice, the glass magically doubled in size 😉 My points booking was for a King Premium Room. I used my CSU to upgrade to the newer one bedroom suite. But the hotel upgraded me to the larger, but older King Premium one bedroom suite. Despite that, I really liked the room. I had a nice view on the Lebua Sky Tower and skyline of Bangkok. And a nice mirror stand with corridor and two large closets connecting my living room and bedroom. Check out my room tour video. The staff in the horel were very nice. The lobby is very nice too. it reminded me of the Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre, but with more seating and a beter view on Si Lom Road. Location wise, the BTS Sky Train Surasak is about 10 - 12 minutes of walking away, connecting to the Si Lom Line. Si Lom Soi 20 for street food (breakfast and lunch), is just over 5 minutes of walking. If you fancy a nice walk: turn left, exiting the lobby. Turn right on Si Lom Road (Thanon Si Lom). Keep on walking, walk under the Sirat Express Way and then you will reach the Charoen Krung Road intersection. Turn right onto Charoen Krung Road, and you'll walk straight to Talat Noi. Turn left at Soi 30 for street food, Warehouse 30 and graffiti art murals. There you can take the Chao Phraya RIver Boat at Si Phraya. Or continue walking up Charoen Krung Road and you'll reach China Town. Back to the hotel. I slept really well. The bed was fantastic.The air con was struggling a bit, but I never go lower than 24 degrees Celsius anyway, to keep temperature differences manageable (it was 38 degrees Celsius outside during the day). I ordered room service once, because after an early arriving and a full day in Bangkok I was to tired to venture out for food. Ordered Thai food, it was okay but did not blow me away. The room service menu link opened to a Google Drive folder... I did not like the hotel breakfast. i found it very chaotic and the choices were so so. Even the omelets, which are hard to not get right. It made me want to be back in the IC Bangkok again, where the breakfast was top notch. The HI has a lounge. As matter of at, I picked the HI because of the lounge. But ended up not going there at all. So no info on that. The pool bar was sub par too. Not only did I drank the worse piña collada ever, staff were closing the bar down 40 minutes before the bar closed. When I ordered another drink, staff had to get the cutlery out to make my mango smoothie that was already cleaned and tucked away in a cabinet. They did not like that, but hey. Don't close early if you're still open. Again, when compared to the IC Bangkok, it came nowhere near. All in all I had a good stay. I was mainly in the hotel for sleeping, taking a shower and changing clothes. Not to spend a lot of time. I had breakfast 2 times out of necessity, and it was free due to my Diamond Elite status anyway. But I'd rather eat out or skip breakfast and go straight for lunch. My end verdict would be 7 out of 10. So good, but not great. With some staff improvements. Would I recommend the hotel? Certainly. it's close to everything, but not so busy as the IC. Which is in the middle of of Bangkok, close to attractions and BTS. But also very hard to get a Grab fro,, as it;s close to two major intersections and traffic on Ploenchit Road is always crazy.

Schöne Zimmer, ordentliches Bad, alles funktioniert. Netter Pool, wenn auch kein spektakulärer Rooftop Pool, dafür sauber und gepflegt. Sehr aufmerksame Mitarbeiter, alle nett und kompetent. Tolle Lage in Bangkok, ein sehr guter Ort um ein par Tage zu verbringen, wird auch gerne von Geschäftsleuten genutzt. Die Bewertung 4 Sterne sowie der Booking Wert ist hier in jedem Fall gerechtfertigt. An Kleinigkeiten merkt man dass das Haus schon etwas älter ist, aber das ist schon auf hohem Niveau gemeckert, ich finde es toll, meine Familie fand es toll und wir kommen gerne wieder.

I stayed once here over 20 years ago and using a combination of points and cash decided to stay a week.a great decision. This has got to be one of the best value for money hotels in the city. For under €100 per night you cannot and will not go wrong. The rooms are large, excellent bed and in room facilities.. linens changed frequently and on request. The lobby lounge offers a wide range of eating options and the choice of having a breakfast/brunch at any time was the icing on the cake. Also the menu is reasonably priced. If you’re a Ihg member the discount on food items ensured I did not have to dine elsewhere. By European standards the hotel offers excellent value for money. I can safely say it will be my go to hotel in Bangkok should I return. Location, service,comfort and quality 10/10. Value priceless

We arrived and checked in at 7:30 pm which was late. It was really hot and I was really tired. The room wasn't ready. The front desk staff that checked me in told me that my room wasn't ready. The guest hasn't checked out yet. I told her to give me another room then. I don't want to wait for that room. Just wondering if the hotel was that fully booked??. The staff then found me another room and gave me and my friend complimentary drinks (no alcohol), which I though was very smart of her. I wasn't happy that I had to wait for my room. Location was great. There are a lot of street food around on the weekdays, not so much on the weekends. Room was clean, very spacious and beds were really big (2 separate beds).

- Y9698XKsuer (8/5): Good Hôtel I a convenient location - Very large hotel, high rise. We were on 15th floor and didn’t hear any noise at night which was good. Staff were all helpful and room was clean and functional. Decor was a bit tired. Swimming pool was lovely and we had no problem getting a chair there each afternoon when we got back from sightseeing.

- 897udenia (10/5): Unexpectedly very good. - We had a wonderful time. The hotel is a bit old but the rooms were spacious, breakfast was WONDERFUL! Staff were gentle, kind and friendly. They helped us get taxies, rescheduled our reservations at restaurants to match the traffic. They were always with a big smile! We felt so relaxed and taken care of. The sticky rice with mango was to die for. We saw a fantastic mix of humanity. Felt very good.

- kitcharatn (10/5): Holiday Inn Bangkok Silom - I had a very comfortable stay at Holiday Inn Bangkok Silom and it truly exceeded my expectations for a city hotel in this area. I stayed in a Premium Room, which was spacious, well-designed, and thoughtfully laid out. The bedding was extremely comfortable, and I appreciated the option of soft or firm pillows. The room had a proper work desk, great natural light, and enough space to both relax and work comfortably. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained, with quality amenities and strong water pressure. Everything felt practical yet polished. One of the highlights was the Executive Lounge access. The atmosphere was quiet and refined, perfect for breakfast, afternoon refreshments, and evening drinks away from the crowds. The service throughout the hotel was attentive and professional. The location is excellent — centrally located in Silom and within walking distance to Sri Mahamariamman Temple, with easy access to BTS and main roads. Overall, this hotel offers great value for comfort, space, and service in central Bangkok. Ideal for business travelers and weekend stays alike. Would definitely stay again.

- andyrE1533CV (10/5): Comfort & Relaxation in Bangkok - This is the second time we have stayed at this Hotel & it has not failed to impress on both occasions. This time was a three night stay to settle in after our flight from the UK before heading down to Pattaya Holiday Inn for a 54 day stay. This Holiday Inn at Bangkok Silom is extremely clean with the upgraded room appointed to us spotless with excellent amenities. The Lounge was well suited to our taste with soft background music & an excellent selection of food. The staff were all excellent & very attentive & we would like to give a special thanks to Minchaya who met us on our first visit & also this recent visit.

- PSPJeff (10/5): A great staycation at this hotel - everything was perfect! - Really enjoyed our one night staycation in this hotel. Good location, not far to BTS. The rooms are HUGE and are nicer than the InterContinental Bali! I am Diamond with IHG One Rewards for context and I have the Club Lounge access with the Milestone Rewards part of the program. We were booked in a premium room and upgraded to a higher floor. It was an end room with large walk in closet with floor to ceiling windows. Bathrooms are very large with bathtubs and separate showers. The bathroom was nicer than our recent InterContinental Bali room as well. Certainly the rooms could use a bit of a refresh, but they are well maintained. The Club Lounge is great. The Club Lounge manager just happened to check us in. Service was impeccable and there was quite a spread of food available along with an extensive cocktail and wine list. We had a table looking toward sunset which was very nice. Here the Club Lounge does not serve breakfast and it is offered downstairs in the buffet, which had a nice selection of everything and again great service. I think this hotel is one of the often overlooked gems of Bangkok. If you are here as a tourist, it is a great location. And if you have IHG Club Lounge access through Milestone Rewards, or you book a Club Level room directly, you will not be disappointed.
