- JohnBluM2 (10/5): Great place if flying out of Orlando. - We live about 2 hours from Orlando and sometimes it's best to fly out of there than our local airport. I like to get a room the night before so I'm not getting up at 4am. This is our first try with Home2Suites. They're only a mile from the airport, have a shuttle and for a fee you can keep your car there while you travel. That's all pretty standard for a bunch of hotels in the area. The reason this one will be our goto, is due to how nice the place is. If it's not brand new (I don't think it is), it was just refurbished. Everything is modern and new. A nice surprise was the size of the rooms. You kind of get used to the default size hotel box room, so the length of these rooms was a nice surprise. We had 2 queen beds. Even with that, there was room for a loveseat and a kitchen with a small full size fridge and a couple of burners. If I was traveling for a week on business, I could easily stay in this place. Free breakfast was a bit better than most, with a few hot things in addition to the make your own waffle station. The staff was way attentive as well. They answered our questions about parking and took care of our reservations for the shuttle. The charge for parking while flying was $12 per day. I mentioned that I swore the website said 10, although mentioned it may not have been their site, but like a booking.com or something. 2 bucks is no big deal so I let it drop. The next morning the guy at the desk said he'd looked online himself and it WAS their site and it still said $10. He fixed that for us and the other 4 parties that stayed. That's great service. There are also a bunch of good places to eat drink within walking distance. There's no bar, but they sell stuff in the lobby where there's plenty of room to spread out inside and outside. There's also a skinny pool in the back. We didn't use that. If you take the shuttle, remember that upon return you need to call them to send the pick up shuttle. They don't just loop the thing all day. I didn't know that, but do now. This will be our new goto place when flying out of Orlando. All in our party thought the same.

Rate was decent for last minute booking. Parking a challenge after 7 p, appears to have several cars abandoned. Their breakfast selection was fair, rising costs of food probably dictates selection. The team at the desk have opportunity to improve guest experience, all frustrated and flustered with “being sold out” - it’s an airport location so high volume should be routine. I did see their manager speak to another guest, nor exactly professional. Overall, decent property. Great options for food and beverage nearby with short drive/ uber.

We had a huge 1 bedroom suite that looked like it had hardly ever been used. Sleek modern design, kitchenette with full size refrigerator, sofa, a small eating table and a pull out table for a laptop or extra eating area. King bed was comfortable and firm. Good breakfast options. A short walk to sevaral restaurant choices. Efficient, included airport shuttle service that we used to pick up a rental car. The one downside was the loud roar of jets overhead. The noise might be bothersome for a longer stay, but we were there only one night and were so tired that we slept right through the noise.

However, as a vacation property manager myself I do understand that microfiber is easier to deal with. However, I still prefer 100% cotton sheets

We arrived on December 30 on a 4 night trip and all went as expected upon arrival with the exception of parking, there was none and I parked on a curb. 2. The next morning I noticed that the room door would activate the door dead bolt upon releasing the door knob and it would do it 2-3 times, this was while trying to exit the room. 3. The morning of the 31st there was hardly any breakfast at 9am, just bread, cheese, coffee and juice so we went out to eat. This issue was solved on the morning of the 2nd so we never ate here, my guess is that they were fully booked but not prepared for such volume. 4. The room thermostat just reads the room temperature, it lets you manipulate the temperature but doesn’t really work. I later discovered that the A/C unit controls worked so I was able to adjust the temperature. This is one of the few hotels that I have been and the thermostat is useless. 5. Lastly, I’m a HH member and love the franchise. We stayed at a Home2 Suites in Kentucky recently and people were friendly and warm. I’m not sure what is going on in Orlando but even when asked for an additional bottle of water for my CPAP it was provided but he commented that bottles of water are provided on check in, really? I think that it was the least he could have provided since breakfast was not provided like they were supposed to do. The location is great, rooms are well equipped but I will never stay at this location again!

They have 2 big grills by the pool so if u wanna grill steaks or whatever pretty cool!!! Now the bad parking is horrible!!! Once its around 7pm the entire lot is nearly full ! U can park in the fire lane if as last resort they won't tow u or anything! 2nd bad part was the damn noise I've never seen a hotel by Hilton have barley any sound proof walls ur by the damn airport for one ! Now staff needs to address guests because around 12 to 2am doors slamming kids running down halls then 7am bright and early everyone slamming doors loud af hey people are sleeping have some damn courtsey ! Overall ok 1 night 2 was pushing it to noise

Very, very thin sheet and really no blanket...it was more like a tissue paper sheet with another sheet/bedspread on top, no "blanket".

- McCarthy (10/5): Great appliances! Operations needs restructuring. - This property pleasantly surprised me! The suite’s appliances were so new and modern. Shower’s water pressure was awesome in that I could select my own version. The beds are firm and the pillows are lousy. Absolutely lacked any firmness in any of the three on my king bed nor for the pullout. The staff members were very pleasant humans. However, they did not seem to operate as a team. This lack of cohesiveness led to a growing line at 5pm Sunday check-in AND check-out with the phone ringing off the hook but only one staff member was apparently allowed to respond to all of this. The three other nearby staff members did not even attempt to alleviate the backlog, even in their pleasantry of conversation and question answering. It was odd.

- Perkins2577 (6/5): Met our needs - Stayed here on a Tuesday night. Flight was supposed to land at 9:30 but got delayed and we landed at 12:30. Called hotel and no shuttle available after midnight so luckily got a car and drove. Room was clean and no complaints. Next morning hotel did take what the extra cost of car off of room rate. Had we not already had reservations we would’ve just went on too our resort.

- davidsT5557ZI (2/5): Live German roaches - 2 live German roaches found in the morning; an adult and a nymph. I brought this to the attention of the front desk, who notified management. Management offered to move me to a different room; this is an insufficient resolution. Multiple life stages of roach clearly indicate a systemic problem, changing rooms won't help. I had to book a different hotel at the last minute, which was a major inconvenience. I was asked zero questions about the state of pests or roaches in the room to help inform future pest control measures, which indicates to me that this is a known problem and that management finds this tolerable. I do not find this tolerable.

The issue I had was with the A/C, the filter was completely covered with dust. The mattress had a sink hole, the bathroom exhaust fan also covered with dust and the bathroom sink faucet splashed water wildly everywhere.

- jocelyncU8906HZ (4/5): Staff lack of professionalism, complacent, and inattentive - I booked an advance reservation and when the system sent a email I immediately confirmed my room # 318 24hrs prior and waited until check-in day for my digital key. My credit card was charged the full amount plus incidentals at 12 PM. I sent a message in the portal to ask what time the digital key would be generated. There was no response for 2 hours. At 2 PM I sent a second message in the portal, asking again when my digital key will be generated. No reply from the staff so I called twice and both times they hung up on me. The 3rd time I call at 4:30pm. A man answered "Hello". I asked is this the Hilton hotel? Since he did not say "Thank you for calling Home2Suites". He snarkily said "Yes we are owned by Hilton, but this is Home2Suites" as he chewed food while talking. I told him my credit card was charged at 12pm and that means my digital key should be arriving within minutes but it wasn't and it is now been 4 1/2 hours. He tells me the digital key system is down. I asked will it be reset or available at a later time? He says "we don't know". I asked is there anyone available to respond in the portal, and he says "I have no idea what that is". I arrive at the hotel close to 5 PM after waiting hours for my room 318 to get snarky and rude staff with no eye contact and a young woman who never looks up or addresses us by name or says welcome or thank you to hand me keys and toss a bag with two water bottles in it. I ask why my room number was different and the man next to her tells me 524 is a "bigger room and better room" Even though I chose 318 because I had stayed there before and was happy with the plumbing electrical and amenities. No explanation why the online reservation wasn't honored or why I waited hours to get a key for an available room. I asked the young lady for 3rd key and she snapped at me. You want a third key? You want a third key?. Again I said yes I would like a third key because I have a teenager in my room that I would like to be able to enter on her own. She scoffs and pulls the key card out of a box and does not program it. I leave because I am uncomfortable. I send my husband back to the front desk to ask for my water and snack, which is part of my Hilton diamond benefit. The same woman argues with him that she doesn't know what that is and "we don't do that here" my husband shows his phone This is a diamond benefit and the same man at the front desk tells her where to go to get the snacks which apparently they don't provide to diamond members because they don't "know what that is". Disappointed in dismissive, rude, and complacent staff. The customer service was nonexistent and there was no one in a leadership position to correct poorly trained or new hires with no eye contact and rushed procedures. The room, 524 is 8ft directly in front of the elevators and ice machine. There are only 2 sets of towels, dirty sheets stuffed into a plastic bag for the sofa sleeper, the electrical and USB outlets next to the bed don't work, and the AC unit next to the window has a broken fin and a loose washer, and it makes a super high frequency pitch scream throughout the night, where we could not sleep. The worst was the water pressure in the shower. We turned it onto Max and it poured out with 15% of what should've been 80% with proper flow. Our showers took 35 minutes just to wash shampoo and soap from our bodies because there was literally the drip low pressure of a small green water canister. We had to beg three times to get towels in the room for the children. We had to take toilet paper and tissue from the housekeeping cart in the hallway when they would not give us any. The shower wall bottles were nearly empty. Just poor CustomerService, no eye contact no greetings cordiality professionalism nonexistent. Very strange. This was night #61 I've stayed at a Hilton property so this was remarkably bad.

There was dirt and hair in the corners that should have been swept before renting out again. The hotel clerk was constantly on his cell phone and we had to interrupt more than once when we went to the desk. He seemed very nice and friendly, just unprofessional. I would not stay here again.

- Jane (9/5): No geral muito bom. - Hotel com instalações novas e bem conservadas. Os quartos estavam muito limpos, com todos os itens funcionando perfeitamente. A limpeza diária básica é realizada mediante solicitação no dia anterior. O café da manhã segue o padrão americano, oferecendo uma boa variedade de opções: sucos, pães, omelete, café, leite, chocolate, frutas (banana e maçã), frios e iogurte. A localização é excelente, com fácil acesso aos principais pontos turísticos. Fica próximo ao aeroporto, em uma área agradável, com diversos hotéis e comércios ao redor. Os funcionários na recepção não eram simpáticos. Atendimento bem frio. A maioria só fala o idioma inglês, o que dificulta a comunicação para hóspedes de língua portuguesa ou espanhola.
