Although the Interior design of the hotel meets the 5 stars level of the hotel, but it is old and i believe need modernization, it is becoming Dark. As for the breakfast, good variety. - 265shadyr (10/5): Great Location with Stunning Nile Views - I recently stayed at the Ramses Hilton in Cairo, and overall, the experience was a mix of positives and areas that could use improvement. The hotel’s location is definitely a strong point. It’s right in the heart of Cairo, overlooking the Nile and close to key attractions like Tahrir Square and the Egyptian Museum. This made it very convenient for both sightseeing and transportation. The room had a nice Nile view, which was a highlight of the stay. However, the furniture and decor felt a bit outdated, and some maintenance details could be improved. Cleanliness was acceptable, but not at the level expected from a five-star hotel. And also need to thank mr. Henawy for his assistance and facilitate our accommodation This guy is super gold

Reception is always welcoming and friendly and ready to go the extra mile. Housekeeping won’t stop caring and the rooms are always tidy and clean. Night and day restaurant offers a great variety of breakfast items. The intercontinental club at the Ambassador bar has the nicest staff members. Always warm hearted welcome, and hospitable. They are helpful with everything, even if it’s not their scope. I love this place and will always come back and recommend it to everyone I know.

- Eliyes (10/5): An unforgettable stay at the InterContinental Cairo Semiramis, where stunning Nile views, a prime location, and exceptio - We recently stayed at the InterContinental Cairo Semiramis as a multi-generational family trip with kids and elderly members, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. The hotel has a luxurious feel. While it is an older property, you can clearly see that efforts are being made to renovate and maintain it well. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, offering great variety for different tastes. The location is excellent—just a few minutes’ easy walk to Tahrir Square, which made getting around very convenient. We chose a Nile view room, and it was absolutely worth it—the views were stunning and added so much to our stay. What truly made this hotel special, though, was the staff. Their hospitality went above and beyond our expectations. They kindly upgraded our second room to a Nile view free of charge and allowed us a late checkout to accommodate our transport, which we really appreciated. The restaurant staff—both during the day and at night—were exceptional. A special thank you to Mr. Nashaet for taking such great care of us at breakfast, and to Chef Riyadh for making our dinner memorable and introducing us to authentic Egyptian cuisine. The lovely lady making bread ensured we always had it fresh and hot—such a thoughtful touch. Every member of staff was warm, welcoming, and always smiling, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back!

Our room staff, housekeeping, concierge, bit especially the staff in the Ambassador lounge on the second floor. They where so pleasant and accommodating. Making sure that we always had everything we needed while having our little happy two hours. The pool staff and lifeguards where also very helpful always checking on us. Day or night restaurant on the 1st floor is where breakfast is served with a large assortment of hot and cold and freshly prepared eggs, omelettes, pita and juices. Also so sweet as to make us pancakes to order at the very end of breakfast service. All in all this is the only place we would stay when returning to Cairo, Egypt ...Thank you to the staff of the Ambassador Lounge for such great service.

I was not, I ordered a double shot of Jack on the rocks and was charged $98 for the drink. I went to management to discuss and the only solution they were willing to offer was to take the cash out of the server wage. I refused as I will not punish a hard working server for "rip off" pricing. I googled the average price for the same drink at other high end hotels - not even close! Avoid this place, management is horrible. I will never be back.

Due to this incident, I will not be returning in the future. - I am writing to formally complain about my stay at the InterContinental Cairo Semiramis in room 741. Upon arrival, I noticed that the towels in the room were not clean and appeared very old. After using them, I developed a rash on my body, likely due to the towels. Furthermore, despite activating the "Do Not Disturb" button, I was disturbed by staff who attempted to enter the room without prior notice. This is a serious breach of privacy and comfort. I request immediate attention to this matter.

- carlosthejackal1960 (10/5): Visiting Grand Egyptian Museum & Pyramids - The upgrade to a suite with balcony and Nile view was a welcome surprise to recognise my IHG Diamond Elite membership. Some renovation work onsite meant we had to change rooms on day 1 due to excessive noise but this was done quickly and without fuss. We would like to give special recognition to Wahlid, whose attentiveness and friendly demeanor made each visit to the club lounge special - a credit to IHG brand. The afternoon teas and cocktail hour are definitely worth trying! The location is ideal to see the Cairo Tower and (old) Egyptian Museum on Tahir Square. We would love to return and highly recommend Intercontinental Semiramis to anyone visiting Cairo.

The lounge offers a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere with beautiful views of the Nile, making it a perfect place to unwind after a busy day in Cairo. What truly makes the difference, however, is the exceptional service. The team is attentive, welcoming, and highly professional. I would especially like to recognize Reem, Heidi, and Hatim, who take great care of the guests and ensure everything runs smoothly. Their professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail make the experience truly special. The lounge itself is well organized and provides a calm environment, whether for breakfast, a quick coffee during the day, or evening refreshments. It is definitely one of the highlights of staying at the hotel. Overall, a wonderful experience and a great example of hospitality done right. I look forward to returning again.

- triciah181 (10/5): Rooms with a view and much more besides - The Semiramis is located in a great position just off the Qasr al nil bridge. Our rooms on the 9th floor had 180o views up and down the Nile and overlooking the Cairo tower, making for a charming and relaxing environment. The rooms themselves were spacious, exceptionally clean and well appointed with details such as Byredo bar D'Afrique toiletries and a welcome bowl of fruit and plate of cakes. The staff could not have been more helpful and tried hard to make you feel welcomed and appreciated. We paid for the club lounge option and this was well worth it. The lounge was large very comfortable and provided afternoon teas and evening small dinner, drinks and canapés which were all thoughtfully prepared and served with a smile and a chat. We also took a couples treatment in the Spa which was fabulous. Our only dinner in the hotel was in the Grill Restaurant, which was on the evening we chose an exclusive affair. It was early in the season and Ramadan so we were the only guests and to say the staff went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed ourselves would be an understatement. This is a great hotel, ideally located and with top class facilities. We recommend it without hesitation.
- globaltraveller200 (10/5): Excellent location and facilities, friendly staff, four star room - Overall, but with some qualifications, we enjoyed a four night stay in the InterContinental Semiramis, a c. 25 storey modern building on the E bank of the Nile and centrally located close to Tahrir Square and the Egyptian Museum (not to be confused with the new and spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum). The five star public areas are spacious and include a lavish spa and a large outdoor pool. Our somewhat minimalist room was four rather than five star, compensated by its splendid view over the river. It was well sized and included a balcony. The bathroom was well equipped but the shower over bath was awkward to use. There was no directory, room service menu, notepad etc – all the usual information had to be accessed through scanning one of several QR codes or by calling the service number (which always responded quickly and helpfully). Not everything worked but remediation was quick. Breakfast was an extensive buffet of a variety of cuisines. We also took meals in four of the hotel’s five restaurants/cafeterias - all were satisfactory but none were exceptional, and service tended to be quite slow. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Value for money was generally good by ‘western’ standards (provided one drinks the local wine!). However, the tour offerings were surprisingly expensive. Overall, a marginal 5/5.
