Cynthia (8/5): We were there for a wedding and the checking of the bags was excellent since check in wasn’t til 3 pm. - It was very clean and a nice location. The sitting area never cooled down with the temperature in the bedroom. Through no fault of the hotel the alarm clock went off at 6 am. Luckily I was already awake.
Chris (4/5): We have stayed at this Omni a number of times and have been pleased. This time it was different. - location Room service was poor - food never arrived one night Room did not have a fridge - requested one and was told none were available. The service brought a fill ice bucket but then removed it the next day with the items we put in it. We pre-paid for our stay and then Omni charged for the entire stay without informing us or providing a receipt. Now we are waiting for reimb.

69saulc (4/5): Good Midtown Location, Terrible Noise Insulation - Stayed at Omni Berkshire Place recently. The location and overall service were very good, and the staff was friendly throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the soundproofing was a major issue. Early in the morning, we could hear loud water pipe or drainage noises continuously for about an hour. On top of that, the walls between rooms seem extremely thin. We could hear nearly everything happening in the neighboring room, including children waking up because of the noise. Eventually our own kids woke up too, and the entire situation turned chaotic. It honestly felt like every room on the floor could probably hear each other. This hotel has a lot going for it, especially the location, but it really needs serious investment in sound insulation and plumbing noise reduction. For the price point, the noise levels were disappointing.
Jean (10/5): Overall a great stay and excellent location. - The rooms were a decent size allowing good movement, with high ceilings making it feel bigger. Staff was very professional and answered all our questions. The tub didn’t drain that fast so water will accumulate if your shower takes a little long.

Sharon (8/5): We would stay again the location and charm of the hotel was worth it. Its very pretty still. - The staff was available and friendly. They had candy and champagne on Easter. The room was a good size. The location was perfect to get to the Lego store, St. Patrick Cathedral and restaurants. Central park was not a far walk either. The crab house restaurant was not far to walk to. A great historic location. Breakfast is not included but was very good and reasonably priced.

This immediately concerned us about whether staff were actually replacing items between guests. Plus room had no heat first night (despite thermostat showing false info). We complained to front desk next morning, was told repairs would be made to heating system. Second night was marginally better but still too cold, system not working. Housekeeping inconsistent about supplying the proper number of towels/face cloths; there were only 2 of us in the room! Room temperature remained a problem for 5 nights. Repeat complaint to front desk resulted in us being moved to better room plus gave us a $100 voucher for breakfast, much appreciated. Room temperature was good. But shower the next morning was freezing, no hot water at all! Third complaint to front desk: we were told there was a problem with the "boiler" and that it was being fixed. But we should have been informed when the problem was known rather than subjecting us to ice cold shower. Finally the last night we were at Omni was appropriately heated. Thanks. But we were paying close to $500/night room+tax. We deserved much better. Front desk clerk was pleasant. But the hotel itself appeared to be in poor repair with inadequate communication among staff departments. Would not recommend Omni to friends who know we come to NYC every couple of years and do seek info from us when they make plans for NYC visit.

They quickly assist you with additional requests. It’s not noisy even with it being so close to everything. The staff is wonderful and helpful. Love the doorman. You can tell he loves his job

courtcog (8/5): Overall a great spot for families - Great location and very nice set up for families. The Doormen and Bellhops were all super and gave excellent service. We also appreciated the effort of manager Danielle to accomodate us when the hotel made an error with the room we booked. Only complaint I have is no drinking water in rooms or near ice machine. Otherwise, a very nice stay and very helpful, proessional staff.

Stay60874510525 (10/5): One of the Best in Midtown! - We love the Omni Berkshire Place. The location is GREAT for our travel needs - right in the heart of midtown and in walking distance too everything we enjoy during our stays. The rooms are very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Berk's Bar is delicious and service is great. The staff on the premise is very kind and helpful - from arrival to departure! It is absolutely one of our favorites and we have chosen to stay here time after time when we visit.

We had our 10 year old granddaughter with us, and we had plenty of space in the two rooms of the suite and the bath. They brought coffee service up for us at our request, which was very nice. The room was quiet. Location was perfect and the staff, particularly bell staff, were so nice. The building is historical, so that is nice, but the hotel is a bit dated. The breakfast area is fine, the food was good, but it is not too visually appealing.

Robert (8/5): The Omni Berkshire is a reliable place to stay in the heart of the Big Apple. - The room was great, the location makes it walkable for most activities or needs that I have and the Team where all very kind and happy to respond to me questions or needs. I think that the restaurant and bar hours are not in tune with the needs or wishes of your guests. At a minimium, you should have the bar with a mini-bar menu available all day.

585ror (2/5): Maria - worst person alive. - . Like WTF. Sandra apologized and switched my room for me and called someone at the very moment to make sure the new room has been cleaned. She asked if there was anything else, I brought up the USB-C, since I did end up buying another one at Apple, but chick gave me the wrong one! Sandra went and looked and voila - she lend me one. Hallelujah! But now, why couldn't Maria just offered this or do anything remotely helpful besides acting as though I am bothering her? Was it too much to ask for me to get a cleaned room? Is it because I won a night here, so they are punishing me to make me do more than what it is worth? Maria is ZERO stars - the worst front desk person in the world. When I checked out, Maria was there, she never apologized. I asked for Sandra, since I brought back the USB-C, and Maria said she'll tell Sandra. That was it - like why couldn't she be more helpful or even friendlier? MARIA is USELESS! Why is she working in front desk? But at least pillows and bed were good here.
Christina (10/5): The Omni Berkshire Place a must stay in Midtown! - The front desk staff greeted us warmly and made an accommodation to allow us to check out a little later in the day due to me running in the NYC Half Marathon and wanting to take a shower after. The doormen were welcoming, personable and helped us with obtaining taxis to our destinations. The room was large with a nice king bed (for NYC) and the bathroom was spacious with amazing shower pressure...it matters! The pillows could have been better. One was stiff but very thin and the other was fluffy but deflated with any pressure.

185nicholasl (2/5): Anywhere Else - Terrible spot with paper thin walls and zero frills. When we got to our floor, there was wet paint everywhere. There were no amenities, no mini fridge, no coffee machine. The beds were uncomfortable, not that it would matter due to noise. This hotel is totally inadequate for any major city.

Special shout out to JenniferTorres for helping make this trip a memorable one. Thanks to Danielle Lee for checking in with us during our stay. Jessica Munetz was a delight at the front desk, always helpful and always smiling! My wife and I enjoyed bantering back and forth with the bartender Demil. He has a great personality and is excellent at his craft. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back!!

The room was clean and our view from the balcony was breathtaking. We will definitely return. Location was perfect and the nightcap in the hotel bar was a perfect ending.
ncdel (10/5): Perfect spot for holiday trip to NYC - I went with my teen daughter to New York for a weekend during the holidays and the Omni was perfect for us! The location was awesome- so close to 5th ave/Rockefeller and pretty short walk to other midtown spots while not being in the crazy Times Square and surrounding environment. Also close to the 6 train for easy travel down to Union Sq, Bryant Park, Soho, etc. Everyone who worked there was super nice, free coffee in the morning, and we had no noise in our room (we didn't face the street though, which was fine b/c we weren't there much except to sleep/relax). Room was clean and not terribly tiny for a city hotel IMO. Only negatives were minimal clothing storage aside from hanging/closet and a broken elevator during our stay though they have 3 or 4 total and it's not a huge hotel so the wait was really not too bad compared to what I hear about normally at some of the huge hotels! Would definitely stay here again.

A2021UOlaurat (8/5): Great stay overall, but one upsetting concierge interaction - We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Omni Berkshire Place with our two kids (ages 5 and 7). As Omni Select Guest Icon members, we were upgraded to a suite at check-in and the welcome amenities and note were thoughtful and appreciated. Most of our experience was excellent, however one incident during our stay was upsetting: my husband (Filipino) returned to the hotel alone with shopping bags and was stopped at the guest elevators and told to take his “delivery” to the front desk. He stated he was a guest and showed his room key, but the concierge continued insisting he go to the front desk. It was embarrassing and felt like profiling. Management later acknowledged the issue, but this interaction significantly impacted our overall impression. We would still stay here again, but I hope staff training reinforces respectful, non-assumptive guest interactions.

AtlantaO (10/5): Great location, great service, great rooms - This is in a great location. We reserved the Berkshire suite (two room suite) with one of the hotel's seasonal packages. We were there just for a quick overnight trip for an appointment. The room was comfortable (two rooms with a pull out sofa in the sitting area - I slept on that comfortably), and the bathroom was very spacious. A nice surprise was having a thermostat in each room so we could each sleep at the temperature we wanted. We requested an extra blanket and it came quickly. Hotel has a bar/restaurant on site. We shared a dessert there and it was very good. We also had in room breakfast delivered due to the early morning appointment the next day. Selection was great, delivery was on time and helpful. I'd stay here again.

Having to request things like slippers, coffee machine (and being told they are out unless I sign up to their loyalty program - thankfully they found one). One bellman made a very inappropriate and misogynistic comment to me I.e that my “husband spent too much money on me” commenting on my designer luggage and hand luggage

stdominic (10/5): Ask and you receive! - Nothing was too much for the staff! If you request something, like water bottles, a refrigerator etc it appears in minutes! We were upgraded and had a very comfortable size suite. I did reluctantly end up on the sofa bed due to my husband injury and can’t say it was better or worse than any other but it worked. I have stayed at Omni’s many times ( DC is my fav) this helped as I was familiar with the brand. Omni is replacing soap bars w strictly liquid so I was prepared to bring my own. I had mentioned my preference and the staff had soap bars in our bathroom. Those small details really matter We didn’t hear much street noise after dark but I did request fans and later found they had noise machines which I suggest taking advantage off My only disappointment which can’t be helped is the small lobby. It could have felt very confining in a small room on a very rainy day.

I was continually impressed with the offers of help from doormen and enjoyed coming back to the hotel during the stay. The room was bigger than I imagined and very clean. I didn't have a single negative experience during our three day stay and would definitely stay here again in the future!
lmiller626 (10/5): Wonderful Experience Overall - We stayed at the Omni over NYE with our 2 kids and it was perfect. The location was centrally located and made it easy for us to get around the City. We stayed in a double bed suite, which was perfect for family of 4. In addition to having ample room, the room was clean and well equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful - they even provided a small welcome gift for our kids, which was very thoughtful. We will definitely stay here again, with our without kids, and would recommend to anyone visiting.

The rooms were spacious, modern and clean. The location was perfect and easily walkable everywhere. The staff made sure we had everything we needed (including sending us something we forgot in the room). Highly recommend.
