Huojuva pieni kaappi vie tilaa ja on hyvin epäkäytännöllinen. Parisänky on kapean puoleinen. Parvekkeelta on kiva näkymä aukiolle. Sieltä voi seurata hienosti kaoottista liikennettä. Aamiainen on hyvin vaatimaton. Olimme varanneet huoneen neljäksi yöksi. Toisena päivänä meille ilmoitettiin, että huoneemme menee remonttiin ja meille järjestetään läheltä saman omistajan omistaman hotellin toinen huone. Kävimme katsomassa ikkunattoman huoneen. Valitsimme huoneen, jossa on ikkuna, mutta sen lasi on maalattu valkoiseksi, joten ulos näkee vain avaamalla ikkunan. Huone in kuitenkin normaalikokoinen ja siellä on kaksi nojatuolia ja pieni pöytä. Uusi huone on hinnaltaan edellistä halvempi. Hinnan eron he korvasivat. Kun kuljimme alun perin varaamamme hotellin editse, niin siellä näkyi olevan asukkaita. Remontti taisi olla pelkkää huijausta.
- Enkhmaa (6/5): - Good location for the price I paid. Room had no window! Only window was facing to the wall of the next building and covered with shutters. We did not have sense of daytime in this room. Bathroom was super small, shower was leaking, that looked like was an old issue. Breakfast was good, stay were friendly, wi-fi was slow.

- Daniel (10/5): Wonderful Boutique Hotel in Heart of Cairo - Wonderful hotel for this price point and location. Staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. Room had a great view of Talaat Harb Square, the heart of downtown Cairo and Cairo city life, and was clean. You won’t be disappointed as long as you know what you’re getting into: a boutique hotel in an old historic building located at Talaat Harb Square, the heart of downtown Cairo. If you choose a room with a street view, there will be noise. If you’re looking for something glamorous with five star amenities, this isn’t for you.

The staff were incredibly helpful, providing me with tips on what to do in Cairo. They also assisted in calling all my Ubers and negotiating with drivers regarding the price, which was extremely helpful since I don't speak Arabic.
- Shashank (2/5): - I had a terrible experience of staying in "The Square Boutique Hotel" in Cairo. I booked the double deluxe room with balcony in this property for 06 night stay from 02 -08 November 2024. I confirmed about my room type and availability even after booking and hotel guys confirmed on WhatsApp which I still have the conversation. However when I reached there, reception guy first asked me to do complete payment and then told that my room is not available for 01st night as they need to repair toilet. He shifted me another run down property, not worth what I paid for. I was promised my room next day. But when I reached next day, I was given a different room with only window, no balcony. Reception guy Mohammad kept arguing that I did not book balcony room with lower cost per day. When I confronted him with proofs and their own website details, he came to say sorry that I was right but bathroom is still under repair. But what I found that my room was never under repair. He gave that room to other guest. This was a big scam. You may wonder why I still stayed there. It was because I was there for work and do not have time to go and search. So I just stayed there as location is just on Talaat Harb square, easy to commute. I paid USD 430 for this 06 day stay. first night I was transferred to Grand Palace Hotel where room cost is only USD 27 per night. For the rest of the 05 nights also, I was low cost room. This is a total scam with most of the guest there. They saved USD 150 by doing it.

- Phoebe (10/5): - I personally loved everything about my experience at this hotel. For those looking for a quiet stay, this would not be your location due to the heavy traffic outside. This didn’t bother me because I’m a city person. The outside of the building, walking up the stairs, could use some cleanup since it’s on the street and open to the public. Other than that, the staff was outstanding, the breakfast was lovely, and the room was clean.

A little intimidating in the beginning as i had to stay my first night at a sister hotel due to booking error but that place and staff were very nice. Single African American women, felt safe ,greeted by hotel on 3rd floor as i took the step down to the square. Many eateries have menus in english jusy blooks away from the Egyptian Musuem and independant square, you can walk behind the Musuem and find the Nile! I might have to stay again to get pcr ttest to go home, New York!
- Quennie Ann (10/5): - I love this hotel because the beds are so comfortable and clean compared to some hotels around the area. However, I did not like that I paid a room with balcony and ended up getting the one with just an open window. They told me that its occupied and that's kinda upsetting I should just pay for a regular room if I know this will happen. The staffs and very nice and helpful if you need something. Also, the breakfast is just okay if you compared them from the others. We've been to 4 different hotels in Egypt and so far their breakfast in my least favorite. I would still give 5 stars because they treat us like a family and very helpful but if you stay here don't book a balcony because who knows if you'll get it.
- Stefanie (10/5): - The Square Boutique Hotel is a sweet little place on the 4th floor of the Tulip Hotel building on the south side of Talaat Harb Square. The room we stayed in overlooked the square from a small balcony. Staff were super helpful with everything from check in to printing out travel documents for us to oranging our airport transport. Great value and within walking distance of restaurants and museums.

- Ivan (2/5): Worst hotel. Avoid. - Dont normally leave reviews, but this one topped the cake with being the worst hotel iv ever stayed in. At check in recpetion they had issues finding my booking because their laptop was broken. Then i couldnt pay because their card machine was also broken. It was 4am so i couldnt get cash, but they kept asking. I paid the day after after 3 hrs of sleep. Then the shower had issues with hot and cold settings and the wifi didnt work.

- Shannon (6/5): - The two main items that qualified the hotel is the wi-fi and breakfast. There is no breakfast and the wi-fi is terribly weak.
- Casha (8/5): Mostly great - This hotel is a great value. The rooms are beautiful, and the view of the square is nice. People have complained of the tiny bathrooms.. but they’re just fine. The people working there were nice and helpful. One thing to be wary of, specifically for unmarried couples: we stayed there 3 nights, and on the first night things were fine. Check in was smooth, they made copies of our passports, and we went to our room. On day 2 after exploring, we returned to our room for a nap, when there was a knock on the door. We were told that they needed to make copies of our passports—again. I’m not exactly sure what was going on.. they rifled through the pages and then told us they needed a copy of our marriage certificate. We’re not married, but in a panic we told them that we were and didn’t have copies. Eventually they let it go.. but I wasn’t sure what to make of it. There are laws against unmarried Egyptians staying together, or Egyptians and foreigners.. but it’s very much legal for westerners, so I don’t know. I never want to violate people’s cultural standards, and wouldn’t have stayed there if they mentioned this before hand.. but I did feel pretty uncomfortable after. If married or single, I would highly recommend though! In the same building as the Tulip hotel, on the 4th floor
- Verified traveler (8/5): Adequate accommodations in a convenient location - This place is difficult to find since it's on the 4th floor and there is no sign on the street level. You should follow the Tulip Hotel sign instead and take the elevator. The bathroom was cramped but at least there was a small table and chair for my laptop. Fortunately there was also a wall heater/AC which came in handy since the weather was somewhat chilly. There are a couple on inexpensive Egyptian fast food places nearby, e.g. Kazaz and Felfela, which are quite popular with the locals but may require some figuring out how they operate. Menus available in English on the wall. This area is very noisy with the constant traffic in the square, but I just took out my hearing aids and it was bearable then. On the positive side Tahrir Square and the Egyptian Museum are well within walking distance.

Difficult to sleep as I could hear people in check-in area talking. Door to my room was across from breakfast area, so no sleeping in. Bed very comfortable, water hot, clean, beat, minimal amenities. Very good location for food, shopping, ATMs. Difficult to find for taxi drop off and pickup. Not fancy but clean and Adam went out of his way to make me feel at home.

Our room smells like sewage, so hotel try to mask it with a very strong air freshener. bathroom floor flooded every time sink drains . Supposedly have a balcony with chairs, but is broken and can't be opened . Overall the staffs were friendly and try hard to please.

- Shamim (8/5): Nice stay - The square boutique hotel is more of a pension than a boutique hotel, in the sense that it’s not luxury or particularly stylish, is slightly run-down but does have a lot of character. The entrance to the main building is in a very bad state of disrepair but the hotel itself, which is on the fourth floor, is nice for the price. It’s in a old building, so has high ceilings, original features etc, which gives a unique ‘cairo’ feel to it. The rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly. The location is excellent and if you ask for a room with a balcony facing talaat harb square you get to see the charming old buildings nearby, although it is quite noisy! the hotel Also provides a shuttle service to and from the airport, which is really efficient and very good value. I would recommend this hotel if you’re on a limited budget.
- MYKY (8/5): - The building is not new but this hotel is very updated. Great location, only 10 min walk to the museum. Friendly front desk and big breakfast! It is a bit noisy because of traffic. Don’t miss the entrance, the hotel is located on the 4th floor. You have to take an old elevator, which is pretty cool.

- Diana (2/5): Do not recommend - It was very hard finding the hotel. The taxi just dropped us off on one of the side streets cause he asked several people and still couldn’t find it. We walked around with our suitcases for an hour until finally we found someone who called the hotel for us to find out exactly where they were. THEN we left to camp in the desert for the night and put the sign on the door to clean room. Came back the next day and nothing was done. The housekeeper just put the sign back in the side table. Would not recommend this place.

While the hotel may be suitable for backpackers or people on budget, it did not meet our expectation and we left after our first night stay.

He was very friendly (younger kid - skinny, very smiley). He got us to the hotel quickly. At check in, Michael (I believe that was his name - shorter, stockier) was quite rude. We inquired about our tour that was booked for the following day and he put his hand up to interrupt and said yes I know. We didn’t even ask our question yet so how could you possibly know? Thank goodness, the next morning Sarah was at the desk. She is so friendly and helpful. We also had another male desk attendant the next night, younger kid, skinny but very helpful. He told us he was from Giza. As far as accommodations go - the location is great. It’s a 5 minute walk to the museum. The rooms are smaller - we were in room 34 which sits right in the lobby and opens onto the street facing balcony. It was fine for us but if you’re a light sleeper, you definitely need a room in the back. We had a mini flood in our room when we used the shower. Apparently, when the shower head is pointed at the granite wall, it seeps through and soaks the floor in the bedroom. There’s also an electrical outlet on this wall so it made me nervous it could cause a fire. We let the desk staff know and he mopped it. The breakfast was included but very minimal. I would eat elsewhere. We also did the tour w Mo, he was amazing! Overall average hotel.

Marched over the road with my luggage to a completely different hotel. Was never told why. Do NOT use this hotel!!! Totally dodgy and totally unreliable!!!!
- vikas (4/5): Disappointing service. Not recommended. - I was surprised this hotel received such high reviews. The service was onerous. When I arrived late at night after a long trip I was accosted with attempts to arrange tours. A hotel should be a place to be at peace from the hustle and bustle of Cairo. The night desk person was also basically rude. Confronting me once about being 5 minutes late for a tour I did schedule with them. And breakfast was pathetic. Two pitas with two pieces of processed cheese.

This place was falsely advertised and upon arrival, we were told to wait and then transported to another hotel that looked nothing like the photos. It was dirty, felt unsafe, and was next to a busy street with loud noises. The hotel was apparently a sister property but it did not look at all what was advertised as a quaint boutique hotel.
