- Zara (8/5): Excellent location, great staff, but fell down on some of the smaller things. - The location is excellent: five minutes from Grand Central which makes it convenient from the airport, and super-central without being close to the intensity of Times Square. The hotel also has some nice historic touches, such as leaving the old-fashioned letterbox intact. The staff were lovely - in particular, Tenzin at housekeeping did an excellent job. The bathroom felt a little tired, and could do with a refresh. In addition, this is the first hotel I've stayed in for a very long time which hasn't had any coffee- or tea-making facilities in the room. It's possibly the first hotel I've ever stayed in where there is no fridge in the room. If these things had been corrected, the hotel would have been perfect.

- nc1701d (2/5): DO NOT BOOK - will not give you a bill/folio - DO NOT BOOK HERE. I stayed for three days on business. The hotel charged my account an exhorbitant amount - way over the room rate - but I am unable to get a folio or hotel bill. I have called several times and emailed their Contact Us email (both accounting@lexingtonnyc.com and info@lexingtonnyc.com) and they simply ignore it. No response to emails and the phone just puts you on hold for 30 min and auto-terminates the call. Not sure what scam they are running but it's impossible to get a bill and they charge whatever they want.

Imagine: you’re exhausted after a long flight, you arrive at your hotel around 4 pm expecting a quiet and comfortable stay, and the first thing you do is take a nap because you’re genuinely beyond tired. About an hour later, the fire alarm goes off. Not just loud, but painfully loud, the kind of sound that instantly jolts you awake in complete confusion. It keeps going and going, and only several minutes later there’s an announcement saying it was a false alarm. Honestly, I would’ve completely understood and moved on. These things happen, and guest safety should absolutely come first. But then, after finally managing to fall asleep again, it happened a second time around midnight. Same deafening alarm, same confusion, same announcement telling everyone to disregard it. Two false alarms in one evening at a hotel where people are specifically paying to rest after traveling is a lot.

I was able to easily reach all the touristy stuff, but also enjoy some peace and quiet at the hotel to get work done. Nicole at the front desk was awesome. I anticipated a stressful arrival into town but Nicole took care of everything. She went above and beyond to accommodate my request to check in early when I arrived. And she was quick to provide answers and recommendations about the city. Very helpful.
- Rohit (4/5): Fare misrepresented, faulty WiFi, uncomfortable - couldn’t sleep for 2 nights. - Location was central to NY I shifted rooms twice over my 3 day stay, in all the rooms, I couldn’t access Wi-Fi from any of my devices. Their public wi-fi was operating in the lobby area but room wi-fi was inoperable. The last shift to room 2717 - top floor, I believe - I couldn’t sleep the whole if Fri and Sat night, since the lift operating machinery was right above/ near the top floor - which made noise very time lift operated. The carpets in the room were cleaned probably more than a decade ago - they were super dirty looked like grease floor from the car cleaners! I was charged $36/ day over 3 nights which was over and above the total amount charged by Booking.com including the taxes. I was told the “credit” could be used for breakfast or drinks - if I don’t use it, I will loose it. There was nothing of this sort clarified when I was making the booking thru your app. I had to pay $9 for my 2 suitcases and 1 laptop bag storage for a couple of hours after checkout. Don’t know for what. It is quite disturbing when I don’t get what I contractually pay for - based on the experience, your website is misrepresenting the rate.

It is also nice that it is a Marriott property and you can earn/use points. The rooms are small, but typical for NYC. We've never had an issue with cleanliness, but the other family traveling with us had mold in their room and they were moved multiple times. The furnishes were a little worn due to the amount of people staying, but overall a decent stay particularly if you can get a good rate.

A+ — super walkable to everything you need, whether you’re in town for meetings or dragging two kids to Times Square (20-minute walk, yes we timed it, yes snacks were involved). If you book ahead, the price is usually reasonable (by NYC standards), and being a Marriott member definitely helps with perks. Rooms aren’t over-the-top fancy, but honestly… I’m not in New York to hang out in my hotel room. I need clean, comfortable, and a solid place to crash after 20,000 steps — and this delivers. Bonus: my 12- and 7-year-old approved, which is basically the toughest review panel out there. Safe area, easy, no drama. Would absolutely stay again.

- wranefre (2/5): The worst hotel I have stayed in in NYC - Where should I start, very small rooms not much larger than the bed, interior that looks like it has not been upgraded for 20 years (I had student accommodation better than this), staff that as low energy non service focused, no restaurant (outside of breakfast), they charge for you to store luggage, no minibar or water bottles in the room, you need to pick up ONE bottle from their shop. This on top of not that low price. The only comforting thought is that I will never go back.

Rooms are small which is typical for NYC but you can tell it’s old and hasn’t been updated in a while. Rooms are clean and staff is friendly but that’s it. It’s in a good location but you can do better. For nearly $300 a night it can be much better, or at the very least offer free breakfast. Not sure why it’s part of the Autograph collection as it’s not a nice hotel by any means.

- Q2270BTkenneths (2/5): Tried to charge additional “tax” - I went for one night on April 11th into the 12th. Everything was nice in the beginning and the room was fairly clean, nothing to complain about. That night, my girlfriend and I decided to stop by their restaurant/bar to use their 35$ complimentary credit. We ordered 1 shot of tequila and 1 shot of whiskey. The atmosphere is dark so I didn’t initially notice that there was debris or something in my drink. I didnt make a fuss and I simply went to our waitress and asked for another drink. Part of the reason I’m writing this review is because they didn’t even apologize or had any urgency in fixing the problem. I had to go up to the bar to get my drink because it seemed they had forgot. Next is because the bill came out to 64.71 including tip. I paid 100 (deposit) 40 (their mandatory hotel fee plus additional fees) so if you do the math, my 140 charge should’ve settled to around 70ish. Instead I checked and saw 104 and some change. When I called the hotel to inquire, the manager at the front desk was very rude and dismissive. He transferred me to the bar because I had questions about the drinks. When I asked what bumped my bill to over 100, the employee stated it was due to taxes. When I stated that I booked it through expedia and I had paid taxes there, he put me on hold. When he returned he stated that i would be issued at 35$ refund. When I asked if there was an explanation he explained when he went to the manager to escalate this issue to find out the reasoning, the manager said not to and to simply issue the refund. Again no apology. Not professional.

- URMILA (7/5): It was okay for a 2 night stay. - I liked the fact that the location wasn’t bad for staying in Manhattan. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby area was exceptional. I liked that when I called maintenance to check the water not going down they did come in about 5 minutes tops. I didn’t like that we had to wait 20 mins for our room to be ready when check in was at 3p and we got there at 7p. I also didn’t like the smell of our bathroom in the room and the stains in the bathtub and toilet bowl was not cute. It was very unappealing. There was also no fridge or microwave in our room. We also had to go to another floor to get ice and then find a floor where the ice machine was actually working. The water pressure in the toilet bowl was very low. Also the sink water took forever to go down.

When we came back, Nicole, the clerk at the front desk, did all she could to help us locate the missing AirPods. Fortunately, due to the her help, we were able to find it. She is an absolute gem and embodies the words “Top Tier Service”. Thank you to the staff and especially to Nicole.
- Little_Me_2006 (4/5): Just don't even! - Awful. Extremely noisy rooms. If it isn't noise from outside air con fans which can be heard with earplugs and earbuds, it's the super loud Aircon. Can't turn off the heat either. When attempting to do was shocked to find a radiator so covered in dirt and dust and didn't electrical wiring. It was on full blast and the room was sweltering. Which is a pain when you find out the windows nailed shut!! Old curtain rails still screwed into the ceiling! Concierge couldn't care less. Promise of room change but no one ever came. Room phone didn't work. TV remote didn't work. Bath plug didn't stay up Can hear your neighbors puking next door. The doorman is nice and that's about it. Terrible hotel and much more pleasant and peaceful stays to be had elsewhere!

- 794anib (2/5): A scam - I stayed at the Lexington Hotel for a business trip and had a very disappointing experience. When I first arrived at my room, there was visible damage to the wall and a picture hanging off. I called the front desk immediately and they apologized and offered to move me to another room. I agreed, but specifically asked them to note in their system that the damage was already present so I wouldn’t be held responsible. The staff also asked if there was anything they could do to make up for the inconvenience, and I mentioned that adding some extra points to my account would be appreciated. They agreed. Unfortunately, none of that actually happened. Not only were no extra points added, I wasn’t even credited the standard points for the stay. The larger issue came after checkout. In addition to the normal room charge, I was billed an unexplained $297 fee. I made multiple attempts to contact management for clarification and resolution and received no response whatsoever. I ultimately had to dispute the charge with my credit card company and initially won the dispute. After that, the hotel rebilled the charge again, forcing me into another dispute process. The entire situation felt highly unprofessional and frankly unethical. Between the unexplained charge, lack of communication from management, and failure to honor what was promised, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I would strongly recommend travelers consider other options.

Lots of things I like, such as the location. easy to get to all the attractions without the annoyance of Time Square and other spots in the city. Friendly staff and an old world charm. Also quite noisy from the street traffic. Ask for a high floor room in the back of the hotel or you may not be sleeping during your stay. We had to ask for a room change. The initial room on a mid-level floor on a corner facing Lexington Avenue was absolutely brutal for the night noise.

Staff promised compensation but have ignored all my emails since I left New York. No accountability, no follow‑through, terrible guest service.

Free bottled water from hotel shop and we requested a kettle for our room from reception. All the staff were very helpful, Thank you Hotel gives 35 dollar credit from tourist tax to use on food and drink from bar but beware of bar prices !! Breakfast for us was not value for money (family of 4, it was 145 dollars per day !!) We used Park Ave Kitchen across the road, lovely well priced options for breakfast and lunch and Starbucks for coffee. Con: 3 dollar charge for each item left with door staff when checking in or out (This is excessive and cash only payment !! - I question why such a standard of hotel is charging such, this should be a free service). Overall we enjoyed our stay and we would definitely stay here again but we would be better organised to prevent being overcharged.

While I stood in line to check in, I was struck by the stunning lobby. During the check-in process, I encountered a delightful woman named Nicole. She was friendly and attentive to every request. I shared my concerns with her, and she quickly provided a solution. Nicole assigned us a lovely room with a fantastic view and arranged for a mini fridge. Although it was a bit warm, we truly enjoyed our stay. The room was spotless, and the noise level was surprisingly low given the location.

- 789marypate (6/5): Good Location - That's about it - The location is great and the staff is friendly but.....the hotel rooms need a massive upgrade. The first room they gave me was 75 degrees and they couldn't fix the temp so it was either 75 or 66 and it was right off the elevator which sounded like a freight train coming into the room. They kindly moved me to another room on the 28th floor. Lovely but EVERY hour, the pipes cranked LOUDLY....and I mean all night long. It was a nightmare and I asked for a different room and they said they didn't have any other options. When I checked out, I mentioned the pipe noise and she said "oh yes, everyone complains about that". Really? You know you have an issue and you still place people in the room and ask them to pay for it? Plenty of other hotel options.

I paid for a king size bed, the hotel staff had upgrades other customers to my room, so I was put in a queen size bed. The staff was rude and they said there was nothing they could do because they were booked up. They need to give me the difference in the rooms back.
