Guest Reviews
- Jose (10/5): - The hotel is centrally located to all sites within walking distance. We got a room for four and everything was excellent I definitely recommend this hotel.
- Benjamin N. (6/5): - This is a basic hotel with very modest provisions located close to center for easy access to main sites. It is perfectly fine for the budget traveler. My room was clean. The desk lamp was broken and not replaced despite my request. The breakfast was simple but sufficient. No landline phones in the room. A/C worked. Shower cubicle very small. wifi worked mostly without interruption.
- Farah (2/5): - Bad smelling in the room and so much annoying the same problem in the environment of hotel
completely dirty and dusty and mold in the bathroom
Old and dirty carpet
Fridge doesn’t work
TV doesn’t work
Air conditioning broken and very slow
Room service is terrible
- Svetlana (2/5): - Dirty rooms
- Larry (10/5): - The Staff and morning breakfast was excellent for our two days. Ten minute walk to the center Domo area.
- Kailash (8/5): - the room i stayed was small and an old building. which was OK given that it was summer and the AC was working. no windows though.
But I want to make a special mention of the person at the reception office on 29 June 2024 ( I missed asking him his name). We missed breakfast by 15 mins and it was closed. but while checking out, he was kind enough to pack a couple of croissants, pastry and yoghurt for us. That was one of the kindest gestures (we didnt even ask for it. he offered). It is these type of people that define humanity. I am not sure if this message will reach the management of Arizona hotel but if it did and if they took time to appreciate such a kind man, i would be grateful. Hats off to that person. THank you Sir.
- Albert (8/5): - Helpful staff, nice breakfast, elevator, very quiet.
- Deborah (8/5): - We were given a room with a broken air conditioner and a broken hair dryer. When we asked about the air con they immediately offered us another room or a 3 bedroom apartment nearby which turned out to be amazing. The staff was warm, friendly and constantly helpful.
- pankaj (6/5): - Air conditioning is not working properly, every afternoon/night we have to go down & ask them to make room cooler. It was uncomfortable to sleep due to AC not working.
Enjoyed other aspects of staying in hotel.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Infested with Mosquitos - First the good. The staff was very friendly and the location is easily walkable to everything.
The bad. The hotel is infested with mosquitos. I stayed two nights and have over 40 mosquito bites on my body. I could hear them buzzing in my ears all night long and I probably got about 5 total hours of sleep over the course of two nights.
I also get that some of these older hotels have smaller rooms, but the room I got was quite literally smaller than a prison cell. The air conditioner was also broken, so that definitely didn't help things with the mosquitos.
I booked this hotel because it had an 8.2/10 rating on this app. I don't know who is rating these hotels, but it was a 4 at best.
- Virginie (6/5): - The place was really outdated. There was stain on the carpet. It was dusty you could smell a strong smell of vinegar whem entering. The shower was super moldy.
The staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was okay. Location as well. Tones of olaces around. But lots of yound people. We barely slept throughout the night because of noises of people talking outside.
- Kathleen (10/5): Great hotel with great staff in a great location! - Great hotel with a real Italian feel! Excellent location on a nice quiet street to walk to everything in the city center, including the main sites, museums, restaurants, etc. Rami and Tamera were outstanding "hosts" and went out of their way to make my stay perfect, as I'm sure they do for every guest. Great attention to details -- from the room amenities to the very good breakfast (which was continually refreshed so you never have to wait for anything). Very clean & comfortable single room with a nice shower. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to others!
- Jeanne (6/5): - Property is located in antiquated busy area of city, so
noise cannot be helped. Very small rooms-bathrooms mini size.
Staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. For the size of facility the breakfast was good-continental style. They had coffee Americana.
- Oscar (10/5): - great hotel and great staff
- Jonathan (6/5): Nice stay - Good price and location.
- Mark (6/5): - Small room, telephone booth size shower
- Dominic (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great !
- William (8/5): - Hotel needs better cleaning. The carpet was dirty. The hall carpet was very dirty. There were lots of mosquitoes and I found a nasty bug on the sheets one day. The hotel had a peculiar smell, and the bathroom smelled even stronger. The breakfast was fine. However, the attendant was not very friendly. He cast dirty looks and gave a disagreeable smirk. The shower was very small and it was difficult to move comfortably while showering. The good thing about the hotel was its location- good walking distance to Florence’s many amazing sights. Finally, the view out our window was a magnificent sight— the majestic Synagogue of Florence.
- Sheila (6/5): - Room small
- Rebecca (10/5): - Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It felt very authentic and the staff were lovely and incredibly helpful.
- Thomas (8/5): - All staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good selections. Stairs and hall carpet could use some cleaning. Our shower very small and caulking we noted there were some black spots. Fair price. Our Air Conditioning unit was loud but at least it worked.
- Gayane (4/5): - veryyyy old hotel, It is supposedly 3 stars hotel. not even 2 stars. The bathroom has no fan and bathtub from 1980s. i don't think the hotel has been renovated or at least painted/freshened for the last 50 years. Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. I wouldn't stay again or recommend. Thank you
- Larry (8/5): - Love the fact that Arizona is in a quiet area but walkable to every landmark. It was nice to get away from all the congestion at the end of the day. Their continental breakfast was amazing, and comparable to any restaurant full breakfast! Staff were attentive and very helpful. our room was very nice, and clean. Unfortunately neither our refrigerator nor the TV worked. The wifi lounge was lovely, but needed the carpet cleaned, as did the carpets in the staircase and halls, but again the room was very nice and we'd be happy to stay here again.
- Pablo (6/5): - Didn't like the unfriendly military presence guarding the Synagogue. We are tourists and there should be more consideration when dropping off guests and luggage in front of hotel. Military personell were not friendly.
- Paul (8/5): - Great budget choice
- Vincent (10/5): Best place in Florence. Comfort and service "A+" - Great location: Walking distance to all main sites. I recomend taxi to and from train station when traveling with luggage. Many places to eat near by. Quiet and safe. Breakfast: Great Hot/fresh breakfast with plenty of options. Room: Clean, spacious, comfortable. Staff: Very helpful and friendly staff, speak English and French. The price is right too. It may be a little more than some others but worth it.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Okay - The place is accessible to almost everything. Restaurants are just around the corner, the city center is also a walking distance. Breakfast is great. My only complaint is that there are a lot of mosquitoes, and the air con is not as cold. But kudos to the people at the desk, they make their part to accommodate all our requests.
- Miao (6/5): - Parking is easy, since the hotel parks for you. Parking fee depends on how big your car is. Its location is good. 15-20min walking distance to major travel points. Wifi is good. Air conditioner is old. When turning on air conditioner, you can smell very bad/awful air. Hope to check it. Even though it is facing busy street, not too much noise when closing window. But you need to use air conditioner.
- Paul (4/5): - There was no hot water and no air conditioning, which makes it a terrible hotel.
- Joseph (2/5): - Hotel was outdated and needs complete renovation. Air conditioning was not working and we were told couldn’t be used until July. It was very hot and room had mold and mildew on bathroom wall and bedroom. Carpet smelled. We had to change hotel.
- Ben (8/5): - Great location , awesome nightlife and very friendly staff. Breakfast was limited but sufficient
Definitely would stay here again
- Sophie (10/5): - Very accommodating
- Michelle (8/5): - Front desk were nice and helpful. Breakfast was ok, mostly carbs and nothing hot but was decent
- amir (8/5): excellent place for religious Jews - good breakfast.
excellent place for religious Jews.
next to synagogue, "kosher" restaurant and "bet chabad".
friendly and helpful crow.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was very small for 4 people. The sheets were clean but the bed spreads had stains, cigarette burn holes and other rips in them. The hallway carpet needed to be cleaned badly. The staff was friendly and the lobby was nice.
- Lawrence (8/5): Family vacation - Excellent staff. The hotel is a little dated but good overall.
- Rina (8/5): Convenient but minimalistic - For one night the hotel was in a convenient location for us but the room was small and very minimalistic as was the bathroom and toiletries. It was the equivalent of a three star hotel . The staff were friendly and helpful but it woukd not have been comfortable here for more than one night with luggage
- David (10/5): Excellent hotel, good location and fantastic staff - Perfect for a two night stay in a compact but clean room with all the main amenities that suited all our needs. Good location with easy walk to the main sites but bit of a treck to the train station. Fantastic staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Place - Very good hotel in a great location. Very responsive staff to all questions and help in any way.
- Stephen (8/5): Awesome location in Florence - Excellent location within walking distance to many old city attractions along with local eateries. The owner of the hotel was very accommodating and his brother runs an excellent restaurant right across the street. There is an elevator that fits three large suitcases and one person. The breakfast was very good and available from 7:30 until 10:00. I would return to this hotel.
- Mark (10/5): - Great customer service. Elton and family provide great service and a good location.
- bertha (10/5): - it was great to have a kosher breakfast. A great place to stay for Shabbat.
- Ceinwen (8/5): - good location, very clean and comfortable. Was as advertised. Would stay there again. Good shower.
- Elisa (8/5): Great, warm hotel in the perfect neighborhood - A little bit off the beaten path to provide some respite from the crowds in the center of the city, the hotel is in a lovely neighborhood with its own mix of restaurants, bars shops etc. A perfect spot. Everyone at the hotel was very helpful in trying to meet our every need.
- Amita (4/5): its ok if you just need a bed to sleep in - It was ok. Just wish that the front desk people knew more about the tours. Not enough information for a person coming there for the first time. Not even directions!!
- Joan (8/5): Arizona in Florence - Nice hotel with wonderful night manager. My single room was truly the smallest room I've ever stayed in! I have been trying to contact them about some lost items with no luck, not responsive.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not a good place to stay - We stayed here because it's close to the city and reasonably priced we also saw people reviewed it as 4/5. Not sure why they ranked it so high.
Our room was dirty, there was a fruit fly infestation in the coffee machine reminding me if the Hannibal Lecter movie, housekeeping forgot to lock my door, air conditioning is controlled by the front desk, the room safes are not bolted in and can be easily removed, the rooms smell mouldy and on and on.
We left after one horrific nite and were told we would get a credit for one nite which has not happened - surprise surprise. We found another hotel which cost us a very large sum of money - I have never had to switch hotels in the middle of a trip ever and would never have considered it if there had been some standards. Our friends also left.
I would suggest booking elsewhere.
- Margaret (10/5): - Amazing place, lovely hotel, bathroom was small. But overall Fantastic stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Arizona Hotel - We chose this hotel because of the kosher breakfast. While we appreciated that they offered it, the breakfast was disappointing. The shower was not 100% hot and when we entered the room the heat had been turned on full blast and felt like it was 90 degrees. I felt that the hotel was a bit overpriced and we could have gotten a nicer room in the center or in the other side of the arno. The staff was nice.
- Michael (2/5): Awful experience - Not only does the description of this hotel say that they have 24 hour room service, which is false, their "bidet" is a kitchen sink hose coming out of the bathroom wall. The "climate control" is actually not very controllable at all. The most you can do is turn on or off the heater, not temperature control, or turn on an AC unit that really was just a fan. They lock the front door of the hotel at night, and you can't get in with a key, you must ring a night bell. Well I hope someone will be there to open it up for you, because there wasn't for me. I rang that bell for half an hour before I finally just found someone to nap for the street for a couple hours.
- Jessica (8/5): - Great comfortable clean hotel. amaZing location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very good hotel for the price - The staff was very friendly, room was cleaned daily, and they had a nice breakfast. Negatives were the bed was a bit uncomfortable, and when I went to check out, I had to show the young man at the desk how to use the credit card machine myself (a little unprofessional).
- Carol Janine (10/5): Our hotel Arizona was fantastic - The people working at the Arizona hotel were very nice and helpful. We were greeted with cheerfulness and smiles. When we needed help with taxis or directions, the hotel clerk met our needs. The surroundings in hotel were quaint and comfortable and the breakfast amenities were wonderful. I had a beautiful view out of my window of a cathedral and the Tuscany hillside. Staying in Florence, Italy was a dream come true, and the Arizona hotel was a part of that.
- Felipe (8/5): - Love the hotel,
- Stephen (10/5): - Fantastic staff. Extremely helpful.
Will defiantly stay here again on next visit.
- Donna (10/5): Very nice place with awesome owners in Florance - Loved this hotel. The owners were going out of their way to make sure that everything there was 5 stars. Lovely breakfast and just a great location.
- BERNICE (10/5): Super Friendly Staff Made Our Holiday Great - My husband, myself and a friend were extremely well looked after by our host Elton and his lovely family. His Mother, two brothers and sister-in-law comprised the team during our stay. A lovely family – so much hard work but always cheerful.
If you value receiving all the help and advice you need to make the most of your holiday given gladly, service second to none and spotlessly clean accommodation then The Arizona is for you.
At check-in Elton immediately marked up our tourist map so that we could find everything easily. We ate at a number of the establishments he recommended which were very good indeed. Tour bookings and taxis were arranged seamlessly. Any request we made or advice we asked for never felt like too much trouble for any of the team. Everyone was always kind and courteous and greeted all guests warmly with a ready smile.
If we are able to visit Florence again we shall most definitely return to The Arizona; I have already recommended it to friends and family.
A quiet, convenient location; major attractions - Duomo, Galleria Dell’Accademia, Uffizi and many more; also the bus stop for the hop on/hop off bus tours all within easy walking distance i.e. a 10-15 minute walk for this 64 year old even in the heat of July. Daytime temperatures reached 30 - 36°C lots of sunshine and not too humid. We walked from the hotel and back during daylight hours and after dark without concern.
- Travel123 (10/5): Friendly and unpretentious hotel - This centrally located hotel is within walking distance to all the main tourist attractions in Firenze. The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. Their knowledge of the city and attractions helped us throughout our stay. The room is comfortable and clean and the breakfast is fresh and plentiful. I would definitely stay here on a future visit to Firenze.
- Steve (10/5): Great Hotel In Excellent Location - An excellent place to stay, within walking distance of most attractions and the main railway station. Situated in a quiet part of Florence, away from the crowds of bustling tourists, but close enough to great resturants and bars.
- eep (10/5): Comfortable hotel near Everything - This is my 2nd visit to Hotel Arizona. I came back because I found it comfortable 7 years ago and it remains comfortable. It is walking distance to everything... The Duomo, Pointe Vecchio, Uffizi... And lots of restaurants and shopping. I dont need fancy because when I am in Florence I don't plan to spend any time in my hotel, other than to sleep, shower and eat breakfast. The staff is so pleasant and helpful. The breakfast abundant... Small room but I'm in Florence- who cares!
- Yaacov (8/5): Good choice for Proximity to Kosher Food/Synagogue - We stayed in the last days of December 2015. The Hotel is directly adjacent to Ruthie's, the kosher vegetarian restaurant and also the major Synagogue. The hotel room was fine in size, the bathroom and shower a little tight. The hotel and room décor is tired and old and could use an upgrade which would make the hotel truly lovely. The staff was friendly and very helpful; whatever hour of the day or night that we came in, they were always quick to offer coffee or tea. If you're looking to stay in a relatively inexpensive location near kosher dining and the Synagogue, this is a very good choice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Noise from street and broken hair dryer. other than that was great! Fresh espresso made for you in the morning, being next to Synagogue was great to find your way in the late at night.
- Barbara (8/5): Within walking distance of everything. - Very nice breakfast. Wide variety of choices. More than just coffee & pastries.
Staff very helpful. Will get you reservations for restaurants & tours.
- sandra (10/5): Amazing! - Very nice and friendly hotel! The food was very nice and the hotel staff was always there to help us!
- Michele (10/5): Bella florence - You are welcomed by very friendly staff who were always willing to help. We booked two rooms both on the fourth floor. One had a view of the synagogue, the other had a sky light so no view. However we were rarely at the hotel and when we were the facilities meet our needs. There's a stocked fridge with items all reasonably priced. A comfortable bed with additional pillows of needed. The bathroom was compact and other than a noisy shower door there was nothing to moan about. The breakfast was good too and set you off on the right footings for a very busy day. Only 15 minutes from the centre. Always felt ok about walking around late at night. Everyone was so friendly. If we go back there we'd go back to the hotel arizona.
- Sarah T. and Judy H. (8/5): Quiet, comfortable hotel in Sant'Ambrogio neighborhood - We spent three nights at this hotel in the central historical district of Florence. Air-conditioning good Wi-Fi quiet rooms! Walk to the Duomo or Santa Croce in approximately five minutes. Helpful staff members who spoke English. Breakfast was included and offered many choices: boiled or scrambled eggs, meats, cheese, cereal pastries, juice, and a barista to make your cappuccino or other espresso drinks.
- James (10/5): Perfect location in florence to tour!! - The staff here is excellent! They speak English well and are good at explaining the area. The room we had was spacious and had wood-like flooring instead of carpet, which was a huge plus. didn't feel like I was walking on dingy carpet. The breakfast buffet was fresh and diverse. Very happy with my stay.
- Arthur (8/5): - Great breakfast, and very helpful staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect for a stay in Florence - Great hotel, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff.
Right next door synagogue and kosher restaurant.
- Deirdre (10/5): Fantastic - Great Hotel, fantastic location and staff extremely helpful. Large clean room with beautiful view. This hotel made our trip very enjoyable, very comfortable. Highly recommend.
- Surf Princess (4/5): Unexpected disappointment - We booked the Arizona Hotel in Florence for three nights, having looked at reviews before booking. Our hearts fell not just our faces when we firstly approached the lift and saw the carpet on the stairs. It was not just old and tired but looked dirty and grimy. The lift was small and only two at a time could comfortably travel in it with bags. We were a party of four and had booked a quadruple room. The room was such a disappointment with very uncomfortable beds - the sheets were immaculately clean though and the bathroom was clean. However the room was not big enough for four people and was in need of painting and repair. The window was closed with string and a wooden strip on the steps down to the beds had fallen off and had nails sticking out. The main light fused and the bulb was not repaired. The breakfast was adequate - however once the hot selection was gone it was not replaced for those guests coming to breakfast later as my daughter did. The member of staff on reception was one of the owners (one of three brothers) he was the one ray of light for this hotel. He was very happy to give advice and help and nothing was too much trouble. He was also cheerful and helpful. We wish we could be more positive. But they need to refurbish.
- Leah (8/5): The staff make this small hotel extraordinary! - I stayed at the Hotel for 4 days this July. The staff (particularly Elton, Daniel, Saadi and the woman whose name I didn't get) were WONDERFUL! They bent over backwards to make sure that I had what I needed, including getting me elusive reservations at a museum, etc. etc. A special thanks to Elton for that one!!!
The hotel is conveniently located next to a nice kosher veggie restaurant and the synagogue and is about a 15-30 minute walk from all important sites. There is a big variance in room sizes-it pays to upgrade to a larger room-the smaller ones are very small.
- Paul (10/5): The Littlest Friendliest Hotel in Florence - A small family hotel run by the friendliest owners that you should ever meet, nothing was too much trouble and they went the extra mile to ensure that your stay was a pleasant one. An ideal location for discovering Florence situated in a quiet neighbourhood only ten/twelve minutes away from the Duomo and the hustle and bustle of a very popular tourist destination.
- Sartre (10/5): Second stay this year and just as good as the first. - I was pleased to have returned for another stay at this fine hotel that is close to all the major sites Il Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizzi, L'Academia and the Ponte Vecchio. The hotel is located in a quiet, friendly neighborhood that has many small restaurants and cafés. The staff are friendly and rich in information about Firenze. The room was comfortable air conditioning and free Wi-Fi worked well and I noticed the windows are made of sound reducing glass. After a long trip we slept really well . Ample and varied breakfast that was included in the price not the usual coffee and croissant offering at this hotel. Depending on your taste they will brew a coffee to your liking. On more important item: the price is still extremely reasonable given how many tourists are in town at this time of the year.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel away from the crowds - Hotel staff made the stay enjoyable .
Helpful ,knowledgable ,family atmosphere
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great family-run place - This family-run hotel is absolutely great in all respects. Welcoming atmosphere, good breakfast (by Italian standards, superb), nice comfortable rooms, close to everything you need. Totally positive experience, best place we stayed at during our two-week trip to Italy.
- e (10/5): Great place to stay - Hotel room needed more electrical outlets for charging smartphones, tablets and computers
- Aaron S. (6/5): Budget hotel - Good enough. Great service but I got a pretty bad room. NOT like the pictures.
- John (10/5): Returning to an old friend - Our second visit and welcomed as old friends. It is family run and you feel you are part of the family. A slight hick-up with the room safe was met with a bottle of wine. As we left on a hot day a large cold bottle of water was given to us to drink on the train.
Room may have been small but still comfortable and clean and quiet.
We will be back if we ever visit Florence again.
- KandJ (8/5): Hotel within easy walk of city centre attractions - Apart from an easily overcome confusion about the room when we arrived, we would not complain about any other aspect of our stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful, always ready with suggestions for places to eat, how to get around, in fact, anything to make ones visit to Florence as enjoyable and hassle-free as possible. Breakfast was buffet style, ranging from some hot dishes, cold meats, cakes and croissants and a toaster that works!
- Sartre (10/5): Close to everything Firenze has to offer - I was pleased to have stumbled on this fine hotel that is close to all the major sites Il Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizzi, L'Academia and the Ponte Vecchio. This is a quiet, friendly neighborhood that has many small restaurants and cafés. The staff is friendly and rich in information about Firenze. The room was comfortable air conditioning and free Wi-Fi worked well and I noticed the windows are made of sound reducing glass. After a long trip we slept really well . Ample and varied breakfast that was included in the price not the usual coffee and croissant offering at this hotel. Also, they will come around and offer varies coffees: they made for me one of the best cappuccino I've had in a long time. On more important item: the price was extremely reasonable given how many tourists are in town at this time of the year.
- Cazz (10/5): Very nice, friendly hotel close to the centre of F - The room was very nice and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit on the small side, but very clean and everything we needed was provided.
- Verified traveler (8/5): well priced...very good hotel. - we stayed 2 days at Hotel Arizona. its a well priced hotel the price in a good location. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms clean. Walking distance to few sights.
- Ellen (10/5): Would go back - The best part about this hotel is the service. It was 10/10. The location was great, we walked to everything, and the very best restaurant just 2 minutes away
- Gerry (8/5): Nice hotel - NIce hotel, our room was a bit dated though the bathroom had been updated. Got a bit noisy one night with a large school group being there, but the hotel dealt with it and it went silent! Staff were very friendly and helpful.
- kosher traveler (8/5): Great location, superb service - The hotel is 15 minutes away from all Florence attractions. The staff is great. Really the treat you like a king. Is a typical boutique hotel very well maintained and renovated. I'll come back.
- Eric (8/5): Good value - Good location - Friendly and service oriented staff in this family run establishment. I expected tight accommodations and they were, but you probablly won't spend that much time awake in the room anyway. What you will get is a fairly priced clean and (though a bit tight) comfortable room including a very nice spread for breakfast. A real bonus was the Hotel's location in the Santa Croce neighborhood which was close to a wide range of food, drink, and entertainment establishments. Everything in Florence is accessible from the hotel by foot and is no more than 30 minutes away.
- Alan B. (8/5): Business Trip - Hotel was recommended by E-Bookers and was in a good location to get to where I wanted, a taxi was only ever 3-5 minutes away if needed. An excellent restaurant within 250 meters was Acquacotta in via de Pilastri.
the hotel had a great breakfast included in the price which was inflated because of a Clothes and Design fair BUT it was still good value and the staff were brilliant and very helpful. I will try to book every time I have the chance to go to Florence
- Sharon (10/5): Perfect for us - Perfect for us. We are kosher and it was next door to only kosher restaurant in Florence. Very accommodating staff
- Susan (8/5): Great Service, Location, Shabbat Accomadations - The guest services were are amazing both times I stayed here. The staff is very nice and really go above and beyond to satisfy. They even remembered me from the last time I stayed a couple months earlier. There's a free breakfast and cappuccinos every morning and free wifi throughout the hotel. The room I stayed in was a single, but the bed was larger than a twin, which was great for my sleep, but unfortunately the setup of the room with the bigger bed made it nearly impossible for me to lay my suitcase down or really get it out of the walking space in the room. Other than that the room was comfortable, and had a private, clean bathroom with a towel heater and shower. The hotel is right next to the Great Synagogue, Florence Chabad, and kosher restaurant, Ruth's, and they make special accommodations with carrying the keys and bypassing the automatic doors at the front for Shabbat. The hotel is also 5-7 minutes from the Duomo as well as the antique market at Piazza dei Ciompi and the food market at Sant'Ambrogio, so you really can't beat the location.
- Guve (8/5): Family Friendly - We are family of 4. We stayed there 25-29 August. The hotel was exactly as per pictures. The room was clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was great. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for me and my family. We would stay there again and recommend this hotel.
- John and Virginia (8/5): Great Place to Stay - An excellent base from which to explore Florence. Not too close to centre to be noisy, but not too far away to be out of it. 10 minutes walk will get you into the "cntre" of the action and the friendly staff are more than happy to keep you on the right track. The service was first class and the feel of the place homely. Nicely appointed bathrooms make a difference and our's seemed to have been upgraded recently. The only - and I mean only criticism I would make was that a previous occupant had fought a few battles with mosquitoes and left some remnants on the walls, which could have been removed by the cleaner, prior to our arrival. That aside though and overall, a great value for money hotel and lovely people.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel would recommend it to others. - Lots to see and after initially having staff not being to helpful with working out where my room was situated found that they were very helpful with info on tours local interests and giving directions.
- Nola Joe (8/5): Very Friendly Staff/Great Value/Great Location - The staff was very friendly and accommodating! The value was great! The location was within walking distance from all the sites!

- dd double d (8/5): nice - good location on quiet street. comfortable room, plenty of towels, staff cordial and friendly.
- Wine lover of the Midwest (8/5): Couple's Vacation - The staff were pleasant and very helpful! Rooms were of average size for a European hotel and very clean. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of food/drinks. The location was well within walking distance of major attractions and restaurants, but was also quiet at night. I would recommend this hotel!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent Front Desk Service - My wife and I are frequent travelers and have experienced different levels of service from the various hotels we have stayed in. We were very happy with the warm and very friendly service we received at the Arizona Hotel. The owners, who personally run the hotel, went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant and comfortable stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends.
- Paul (8/5): Nice hotel, great staff - Very close to main attractions. All the staff were great. Very good European breakfast. Great stat
- D (8/5): Nice hotel centrally located in Florence - Overall a stay was ok. A/c was shut off even though the temperature was 28°C, but I was given a table fan! Value for money.
