Guest Reviews
- T3196VMmichelleh (10/5): Wonderful week at the Montrose - We had a wonderful week at the Montrose, nothing was too much. The staff were all friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect especially Austin, Maria Joshua, Carla Odie, Edgar and Edwardo. Great location close by all the top tourist spots

- phillyvoyagers (10/5): Good Choice in West Hollywood - We spent a delightful week at the Montrose while exploring art museums in LA. All of the staff are exceedingly friendly and helpful. Our room was a suite with a kitchenette and balcony. The room was clean and well furnished. Housekeeping is by request as is now common. There is a small rooftop pool and deck with complimentary wine served every evening. Coffee is available 24 hours a day in the small restaurant off the lobby (no decaf). The parking valets were friendly and efficient. The immediate neighborhood is mostly residential but is close to many restaurants on Sunset Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard. We would stay here again.

- Pavel (2/5): A check-in to remember - This one is on behalf of my colleague Ruslan who I made the booking for -
My first check-in experience at Montrose at Beverly Hills was unforgettable — unfortunately, not in a good way.
I arrived at a fully prepaid room but without a credit card for the security deposit. My colleague, who booked and paid for both rooms, immediately contacted the hotel to solve the issue remotely. The front desk responded to every possible solution with what felt like their favorite word: “No.”
Cash deposit? No. Online payment? No. Card over the phone? No. Basic empathy? Also no.
The highlight was being told that my room key would stop working at 11 AM the next day unless my colleague arrived in person. I was essentially given two exciting options: sit inside the room and wait, or wander around Los Angeles with my luggage like a side character in a low-budget travel documentary.
The hotel itself is nice, the location is great, and the valet staff was fantastic — friendly, smiling, professional. Meanwhile, the reception team behaved like customer service was a personal inconvenience.
For a 4-star hotel in Beverly Hills, I expected hospitality. Instead, I got a masterclass in unnecessary rigidity and awkward attitude.
Montrose has potential, but the front desk team could really use a reminder that guests are not the enemy.
- Pavel (3/5): Never again - Nice neighborhood, quiet street Montrose at Beverly Hills is a perfect example of how a stylish boutique hotel in a great Los Angeles location can completely ruin the guest experience with the front desk attitude.
Before arrival, I emailed the hotel explaining that my colleague would arrive one day earlier without a credit card, and that I would personally arrive the next day to provide the security deposit for both rooms. The hotel never responded — apparently their version of communication is silence.
When my colleague arrived, the real adventure began. Cash deposit? No. Online payment link? No. Credit card over the phone? No. Speaking politely to a paying guest? Also no.
The tone from the front desk felt less like hospitality and more like we owed them money personally. Despite the rooms being fully prepaid, they acted as if we were trying to sneak into the building through the kitchen entrance.
Eventually, they “graciously” allowed my colleague to stay for one night, warning him that his key would stop working at 11 AM the next day unless I appeared in person. Nothing says “welcome to Beverly Hills” quite like threatening to deactivate a guest’s room key.
The funniest part came when I finally arrived, provided the deposit for both rooms, and calmly mentioned that the check-in experience had been unpleasant. Instead of apologizing, the front desk agent said she was surprised her colleagues had even allowed him to check in.
No smiles. No warmth. No effort to help. The only genuinely friendly person at the hotel was the valet guy, who somehow understood the basic concept of hospitality better than the entire reception team combined.
Beautiful property. Great location. But the front desk seriously needs to relearn what the hospitality industry is supposed to be about.
- mikahojp (10/5): A Cozy Stay with Exceptional Hospitality - Our stay was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The room was beautifully designed, warm and incredibly comfortable, with eclectic artwork and a cozy ambiance that made it feel like a true home away from home. What really made the experience unforgettable, though, was the staff. Maria, Austin, and Edgar went above and beyond to make my mom, sister and I feel genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. If you’re in the area and looking for a place that combines comfort and exceptional service, this is the spot. Be sure to ask for Maria, Austin, and Edgar. They’ll make your stay extra special!

- bethanns2026 (10/5): Exceptional Hotel and Service - Eduardo at the Montrose at Beverly Hills was absolutely exceptional. From the moment I sat down, his energy, professionalism, and attention to detail stood out immediately. He was incredibly attentive without ever being overbearing, made amazing drink recommendations, and every cocktail was crafted perfectly. Beyond that, his personality was top-tier — welcoming, charismatic, and genuinely made the entire experience feel elevated and memorable. You can tell he truly takes pride in what he does. Hospitality like that is rare, and Eduardo completely exceeded expectations. If you’re at the Montrose, do yourself a favor and sit at his bar on the rooftop!

- EliaMssawir (10/5): Go for it without thinking twice. - Highly recommanded hotel in the heart of Beverly Hills. Close to almost everything, especially if you would like to do some shopping.
Your business trip will be extremely smooth and the staff team will make sure of that.
You can find all the needed amenities there, from Gym to Pool.
Rooms are well maintained and very artsy and super clean.
Salute to the Valet team, Sasha, David and the whole crew! Top members.
Book it and you won't regret it.
You will find some bit of noise from other rooms but the atmosphere remains good.

- Bowe (10/5): Can’t wait to come back! - Amazing location and super cool vibes Nothing !
- Brian (10/5): Great place to stay. Would stay here again if I return to LA - Property conveniently located. Had some Hollywood character . We were upgraded to a suite which was excellent Rooms are not serviced daily and you need to request it if you want it serviced . Not a big deal but is a room for improvement
- James (7/5): - Room had a strange smell. Wasn’t dirty but coming from the AC.
- L2340WJleahr (10/5): Two Thumbs WAY Up! - Friendly and professional staff; as i had an early flight into LA, my room wasn't ready. However they welcomed me sincerely, allowed me to have the car valeted (too expensive, though, imo ...$70 per - but i found cheaper nearby), kept my bag so i could go out to meet friends for lunch and told me i could relax in the restaurant with a cup of complimentary coffee. A great welcome! The room was fanTAStic! Bed SO comfy, linens (especially bath) were high quality and so soft; LOVE the sunken living room area! It would've been nice to have a microwave, but alas... My two experiences with breakfast were not as smooth as the rest of my stay as i had to send my pancakes back twice: once for being covered with powdered sugar and once for tasting like meat (i'm vegetarian); the next day, my croissant wasn't warmed up on my request; when it was, it still wasn't fully warm. I sound like an entitled beverly hills kid - i'm not. Lol... The rooftop pool is fab and so are the views of the city. There was a fellow who seemed to receive privileged treatment up there one day; all the chaise lounges were cleared from the far side except for one which was turned away from the pool, had towels laid out on it, a table with an ice bucket and a "reserved" sign. I highly recommend the place and would gladly stay here again. Thank you.
- Argyri (10/5): Everything was Great -
- Jess (9/5): A great week. - Clean, great location, spacious rooms and friendly staff - shoutout to Sasha on the door, and the reception team who were all particularly friendly and helpful. Not many sun loungers at the pool, only about 15 sun loungers for the whole hotel.
- PattyFMontenegro (10/5): Maravilhosa experiência! Quero voltar! - Excelente localização, atendimento, cortesia, quarto maravilhoso, rooftop.
- Ebony (9/5): -
- ZHI (10/5): - The staff outside were very helpful.
- Julian (7/5): -
- larneyn (10/5): Roof Top Bar - While the hotel and staff were everything I've come to expect during my 3-4 stays per year, I have to say "Happy Hour" bartender Eduardo is the icing on the cake. He is extremely engaging and welcoming with a very warm demeanor. He is just the type bartender you want to run into after a grueling day as you attempt to "wine" down.
- Allison (9/5): -
- Edgar (7/5): -
- tyfiny2020 (10/5): Warm Welcome - Eduardo greeted us on the rooftop. Bar was closing but he was so sweet about serving us, still. This is our first stop after checking into the room. If our experience up here is any indication of the rest of our stay, it’s going to be a wonderful weekend.
- 755kimberlys (10/5): Weekend Stay - Eduardo was my bartender. After a long drive from Vegas He was my lite at the end of my travels. His personality was welcoming and truly heartwarming! Awesome Guy
- 457marcir (10/5): Hospitable - We stay at the Montrose often as our daughter lives nearby. We always find everyone to be very hospitable. A special shout out to Victor who is always reliable with a local recommendation for breakfast and makes a fabulous Americano!
- edhaysler (10/5): Well worth a stay - Great hotel in a very good location. The pool on top has wonderful views. The room size is very generous. All the staff are very welcoming. Free coffee in the morning and free wine in the evening are great additions to the overall value for money.
- nicola (8/5): Nice but wouldn't stay again - Was in a really good area Was quite old fashioned and very dark.
No chairs on the balcony, the balcony covers were extremely dirty in mould.
The worst thing was you could hear everything from every room side and above. People stomping around above you at 6.30 in the morning isn't what you need on holiday
- Wanderer678791 (10/5): Great stop on our trip - Very kind staff and nice, big, clean rooms. We had a dog and it all went smoothly. We went to the rooftop pool area for happy hour and it was georgeous. We were just passing through and wish we could have stayed longer!

But what truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. What an exceptional team: warm, friendly, and genuinely accommodating from start to finish.
Madilyn and Edwardo went above and beyond in every possible way. Their kindness and attention made our stay feel personal and unforgettable. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
The Montrose is a gem, and we can’t wait to return.

- Stukari (10/5): Excellent stay - Excellent staff, great room in a quiet area of LA. Close to many major attractions, however a car is needed or be familiar with local transit. We had our car and had no issues getting around.

- Debi (10/5): The staff, the room, and the pool were all lovely (and did I mention the coffee was fantastic) - The room we had was spacious and extremely comfortable. The beds and bedding were exceptionally comfortable. We loved the location, and the staff was very welcoming from the moment we stepped out of our car. We found the property to be perfect for us.
- Eline (8/5): Geweldige locatie en zwembad. Mooie grote kamer. - Grote kamer en geweldige ligging. Zwembad was heel fijn.
- H241NZnadineb (10/5): Customer service oriented - Great location and the staff is out of this world. Bed was nice and rooms were quiet. Josh at the front desk answered my 100 questions and told me about wine hour which was amazing. Overall a memorable stay.
- Stefi816 (10/5): Great stay - Great hotel in a great location. The staff at the reception was super nice.
The room was amazing with cool view on LA.
The terrace with the swimming pool is also very nice
- Patrick (9/5): -

- haot887 (10/5): Lovely stay after our wedding - My wife and I stayed at the Montrose to visit Los Angeles after getting married and had a good experience. Austin, the Manager, along with the Staff there were courteous during our stay and supported a memorable trip for us. There was some confusion during check-in but the Staff was quick to sort it out and Austin made a great effort to ensure that we would enjoy our time there.
We will definitely be back!
- Mitchell (10/5): -
- Meri (9/5): Great vibe, location and staff! - The room had a great layout and a great view of West Hollywood, the hills, and the city. The hotel was located on the border of Weho and Beverly Hills, on the doorstep of the Sunset Strip, or a short walk from Santa Monica Boulevard. The rooftop pool was a vibe. great sitting areas - the best view. One thing to note was that there was a little too much water pooling around the roof after they would wash/hose down the floors, which is a bit of a problem. safety issue
- Dialla (10/5): -
- C2324PArobertk (10/5): Staff members care about your experience - Eduardo was great ! Warm hospitality to come back to after a long day ,
- shawnrG5185LE (10/5): Amazing service - Perfect location close by to most restaurants and LA attractions. Free wine everyday is a plus to relax by the pool which unfortunately is a bit small but views are great. Special thanks to everyone at the front desk so helpful and kind. My man Joshua recommended Paninis Pizza didn’t disappoint and you get free delivery. Over all amazing found my new hotel in LA.
- 725liuf (10/5): Attention to detail. - Arriving to a warm greeting to valet helping with luggage to a warm front desk agents. Needed print outs and sent them via email just to have Joshua have it ready for me without having to let him know i sent anything. Shows that the employee remember who you are and make each interaction feel personal and not like any other person coming in and out. Will hopefully be back soon to Montrose can't wait.
- Igtox799 (10/5): Exceptional Service - I had a great stay at the Le Montrose at Beverly Hills, and Maria truly made the experience stand out. She was welcoming, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was smooth. Her professionalism and genuine care didn’t go unnoticed. Highly recommend—thanks to Maria!
Funcionários simpáticos e solicitos ... bom custo benefício É necessário solicitar a arrumação do quarto. Caso contrário não o fazem...
- Alessia (10/5): -
- Louise (7/5): -
- Vicente (6/5): A bit expensive for what the hotel is - That rug smells horrible
To have to pay for the parking a huge amount of money per day, this should be free for clients
- Martina (10/5): -
- Mina (4/5): Reality doesn’t match the pictures - Location The rooms are quite large, but with the carpet and furnishings it feels like a strange mix. Unfortunately, you can’t really unpack because the wardrobe is far too small and only has a single rail.
The bathroom only has a sliding door and is located right next to the bed, which isn’t an ideal setup. The kitchen was not equipped at all; although we did get a few extra items when we asked, it still wasn’t possible to properly cook anything there.
The worst part, unfortunately, was the constant smell of marijuana. We like to sleep with the window open, but at times the smell was so strong that this wasn’t possible. Also, the pictures used online (especially of the pool, but also the rooms) unfortunately don’t quite match reality.
- Curtis (10/5): - Location was per
Clean
Hotel staff was amazing

- Jackie (10/5): Our 1 night stay was the icing on the cake for our 2 week vacation. We loved everything about the hotel and would defini - Everything, the room was very spacious and the decor was exactly what you want from hotel a few minutes walk from sunset strip, classy and with a rock-n-roll vibe. The views from the rooftop pool were sensational and the heated pool an added bonus. Nothing.
