Guest Reviews
- Rita (10/5): - Staff were so helpful
- Kurt (8/5): - Net hotel. Prima locatie, dichtbij metro
- Caryl (10/5): Amazing staff members - The reception staff on our arrival were fantastic! They were very welcoming, explained all the services on offer and were very personable and polite. This was a brilliant way to start our stay and to the two reception staff who were on duty, thank you!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff are ever are super helpful. In particular Sharveer who is always friendly and efficient.
- Biljana (8/5): - The standout at this hotel was the staff. All of the staff at the front desk were super warm and friendly. The hotel is in a convenient location, that is easily walkable to many shops, restaurants and the metro. Cleanliness is top notch. The only con like in any Parisian hotel is the small room size.
- Enrique (10/5): Would come back! - Excellent staff. Good breakfast. well located, Quiet
- mollybronte (6/5): Close to transport, hotel chain. - Stayed at this hotel with family on a visit to Paris. The hotel was clean and the staff polite and courteous. We had 2 singles in our room which were quite small but comfortable. Tea and coffee is available all day in the dining room and there is an outdoor seating area where smoking is allowed. The hotel is close to the Bastille and metro stations. Buses run outside the apartment and there are restaurants nearby. Our stay was quite good and we would stay again if in the area although the hotel was a little expensive for the area.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Overall good hotel, great location and very friendly staff. The big and main issue was that their AC was not working and since Paris had exceptionally hot days the room was extremely hot, which completely disrupted sleeping. Opening windows was not an option due to street noise. Staff was helpless due to their systems apparently. For a hotel that is not cheap at all, this was a big minus, that you cannot have a comfortable sleep.
- Paulo Roberto (10/5): Ótima localização - Hotel muito bem localizado, com metrô próximo e muitas opções de restaurantes, supermercados, etc. O hotel fornece água com ou sem gás durante toda a estadia. Café da manhã bom, mas sem muita variedade, padrão Ibis. Atendimento muito cordial por parte de todos os funcionários;
- ANGELOV230 (8/5): Another good stay at Ibis Paris Bastille Faubourg Saint Antoine 11eme - Back in Paris, I decided to stay again at ibis Paris Bastille Faubourg-Saint-Antoine 11ème, due to previous good experiences.
Also this time the hotel proved to be good: I had a good room with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was small but ok, too. Insulation from outside noise was far from perfect, but luckily Rue Trusseau is not heavily trafficked, so I could have good sleeps.
Breakfast was good, wi-fi worked very well, and staff were very helpful.
- Hussain Ali (8/5): Good value for money - Very clean and comfortable and good location
Point tres negatif (non relatif a l hotel) :
UNE TACE DE SEJOUR A PLUS DE 5 € PAR JOUR ET PAR PERSONNE!!!!!!!!! 33€ POUR 3 JOURS C EST ABUSÉ
- Gill (10/5): - My husband uses crutches - the hoTel was accessable room was basic but was fine for us . Breakfast was good too with large choice.
- ANGELOV230 (8/5): Very good hotel in Paris - I stayed at ibis Paris Bastille Faubourg-Saint-Antoine 11ème in the past, and for my latest trip I decided to stay there again: it was the best decision.
The hotel is close to two metro stations (Ledru-Rollin, three minutes walk from the hotel, and Bastille, 6-7 minutes walking from the hotel), so it's very conveniently placed. In the area around the hotel there are several nice restaurants, and the area is generally quiet.
I had a very good room on the 6th floor, overlooking the hotel internal garden, so there was no noise at all from outside. The bed was very comfortable, and cleanliness was excellent.
The bathroom was smallish, but it had everything necessary.
Breakfast was very good, with several choices available, and coffee/tea were available 24/7 in the breakfast room.
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Free wi-fi was generally good, intermittently slow.
All things considered, a very good hotel and very good value for money.
- Christopher (10/5): - Great friendly hotel in good location
- Caila (10/5): - We loved our stay! The front desk crew were very kind and helpful. The hotel offered still or sparkling water on tap to fill up water bottles before or after a busy day. They had an espresso machine in the dinning area that was free to use all day. We also loved the location! We felt far enough from major touristy destinations. Also, so many great local cafes and restaurants were steps away!
- Yvonne (8/5): - IBIS Standard. Alles etwas einfacher und kleiner aber ausreichend. Zimmer wirklich sehr klein.
- Aniruddha (8/5): - Good experience overall
- paul (8/5): - Good place for overnight stop
- Rene (10/5): - Nice place, everything what is necessary is there. Friendly staff. Complementary coffee, water is appreciated.
- MAGDA (10/5): - Amazing experience, good staff and food.
- Nomad54151784002 (10/5): Ideal location to walk Paris - This hotel is ideally placed to walk Paris. 10 minutes to the Seine. The hotel is very clean and the reception staff were very friendly and went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable and relaxing. The facilities were great. I especially liked the on tap bottled water and the free coffee to enjoy in the outside garden area. Highly recommended.
- Po-koLuk (10/5): Excellent stay. - The hotel provides coffee and tea with unlimited supply. In addition, when one more chair is requested in the room, the friendly staff immediately brought it to the room. The staff are all friendly, polite and helpful.
- ottawadad2024 (8/5): Ideal location in 11eme Arrondissement; room not as advertised - The location is ideal to explore and use as base to see Paris. Nice, quiet courtyard to unwind!
The room that was booked was not the same as the booking pictures presented.
Careful: shower may be a wet issue if not careful with shower-head.
- René (8/5): - Not far from the metro, shops and restaurants nearby
- Jose (10/5): - The staff are fantastic - friendly, efficient and very helpful! The space is clean and compact. The area is quiet and safe. It’s a 10 minute walk to the Bastille metro station, you can connect to just about anywhere from there. Would definitely stay here again.
- FamilyGuyLA (10/5): Great hotel with a very friendly staff - At first look, this appeared to be a bit 'out of the way.' It turned out to be perfect.
The hotel was clean, friendly and accommodating, near the Line 8 Metro and easy walking distance to Bastille.
The recommended metro stop is Faidherbe-Chaligny on Line 8, but it's much easier to take stop Ledreu-Rollins. What makes it a perfect place for those looking to spend 'not too much money' is the amenities, both on site and nearby.
They have filtered water, both fizzy and still, available any time in one liter bottles at no cost. They also have 24h access to tea, coffee and hot chocolate as well as to a small outdoor garden. The elevators are key card access so there's a bit more feeling of security. A little bar is available with the front desk staff playing triple duty as pizza maker, bar tender and host.
Next door is a Franprix small grocery for wine, juice, beer, soda, water, cheese or sliced packaged meats. Ernest & Valentin, three minute walk, is an amazing boulangerie to pick up baguettes, along with some cheese from next door and you've got a perfect breakfast. There's a larger grocery store (but not much bigger) Carrefour City just five minutes away. There's no problem bringing items back and using the hotel plates and utensils, and coffee.
Quick, easy and cheap bites are just around the corner at Gem kababs.
Tips: Rooms opening towards the garden can get cigarette smoke as it is allowed in the garden. Rooms opening towards the street get traffic noise and there is a school right across the street, so yelling kids are common.
- Martine (10/5): Bonne situation.
- Kyra (10/5): - We came from a different hotel that was absolutely unacceptable in the area and booked this place last minute. We felt very welcome and immediately knew we’d made the right decision to switch. The place was very comfortable, a good size for Paris, had a lovely outdoor space and was close to everything we wanted to see! We will definitely come back to any Hotel Ibis in the future!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Warm service - Much appreciated the warm welcoming and caring by the staff in the hotel. They are very attentive, proactive and helpful. Their attitude makes us feel liking being at home and will definitely consider this hotel if we are back to Paris again.
Dommage !
- Maria (8/5): - Great place, nice location close to restaurants, metro and shoping. Front desk people were very friendly.
- 887benh (8/5): Pretty decent - I was on the 7th floor, at the back. Friday night. A temperate controlling unit is in the room, with a dial and 2 switches next to it - none of the controls did anything. The shower temperature changed a lot, and the shower tray filled up fast. The establishment itself is not too bad, and friendly staff - I've stayed in many Ibis's (across Europe) and the staff are always fantastic. Good location for restaurants, bars and interesting shops etc. I'll give it 4, but the shower drain, the water temperature's quick changing and the temperature controlling unit, needs sorting out/ fixing. People rate Ibis's like they thought they were going to stay at a 5 star hotel, which is ridiculous (reflects on their own ignorance) ..I know what to expect and rate accordingly IE your staying in one of the most amazing cities on earth, but you're not paying 'the earth'.
- MrMickey1 (4/5): Basic hotel and very pricey for what is provided - I stayed here with my daughter in a twin room. Someone organised the hotel for me and it cost approx £190 a night. I have stayed in hotels all around the world so had expectation of what the room should be like for that price.
The rooms are basic and there is just enough room to walk around the bed.
There was no safe, no coffee making facilities, only tiny cupboard for hanging clothes, bathroom had a 3in1 body wash/handwash/shampoo all in one tub on the wall in the bath. For the price paid, I would expect alot more for a hotel. I am sure other hotels with more facilities would be available for the same if not less cost per night.
Breakfast - disappointed and basic. There was bacon and scrambled egg. The egg had just been brought out but it was stone cold. Other choices were bits of cheese, ham, few bits of fruit and cereal. Just basic.
There was scaffolding in the garden and outside the bedroom window with workmen walking past so we couldnt open the window or leave the blind open to enjoy the view
Just a disappointing stay.
- Craig (8/5): Good hotel - Nice hotel, good location close to Metro. Good restaurants nearby.
- Arnon (10/5): Great stay - I really enjoyed the stay.
- Linfeng (8/5): Would stay again - Excellent service from the front desk. Good location. Close to trains and restaurants but not right on top of them, so no issues with street noise
- Ka Ying (10/5): Alles in allem sehr gut - Empfangsmitarber überaus freundlich, sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Zimmer Komfortabel und sauber. Lage sehr gut.
- Andrew (8/5): - Was a great hotel and location! The air conditioning was not so good. Just warm air blew out of it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Ibis Comfort - We booked an Ibis because you know you will get a good level of quality. The room was a fair size for two with a comfy bed and space for both our bags
The service was amazing and the person who checked us in was utterly delightful!
The no plastic is brilliant and I hope more hotels do this.
Location was great and would defo recommend.
- Andrew (8/5): Great stay! - Room are small but that is expected. Only concern we had was the air conditioning was not very cold. Room got stuffy. Aside from that, that hotel was great! Nice location to metro stations. Staff was very friendly!
- Li Ming (10/5): - Excellent location
Staff was super helpful and friendly
Very nice hotel for short stay in Paris with easy access to central Paris
- Gertruda (10/5): - The hotel ist perfectly fine for a few days Paris visit. The rooms are a bit small but not an issue if you are not staying forike 2 weeks :) The staff was very nice and helpful, the breakfast fine (except for the coffee but it was still drinkable, the rooms nice (but small) and clean. The location was very good, close to many metro lines. We also just went to some famous attractions by foot.
- Jean (10/5): - great place not far to the Bastille
- enric (8/5): - Buena estancia, estado impecable, habitaciones pequeñas
- Paola (8/5): - This is my 4th time in this hotel.
I love the location, small hotel with everything you need.
- Elisa (8/5): - Sehr schönes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal. Leider war das Bett sehr unbequem.
- John (10/5): - Great locations with lots of restaurants close by. Very clean and quiet. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was great and provided an assortment of options for breakfast. Great coffee too.
- catherine (10/5): - Rinnovato di recente, silenzioso, ottima insonorizzazione, letto comodo, personale cordiale e molto disponibile
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Basic but a great location and perfect for what we wanted.
- Anthony (8/5): - We stayed one night before our flight back home to the states. It was an great location and great room for the price
- Julie (10/5): Great for a short stay - Very helpful staff. Clean and tidy. Central for all we needed.
- Nigel (10/5): - Staff was awesome and very helpful. Could have used more towels (hand, face, etc).
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great value - Very clean and modern. Good location, plenty of dining options around, reasonably close to the Gare de Lyon. Great value if you’re just looking for somewhere comfortable to stay.
- WILLIAM T (10/5): Good, Comfortable Weekend Stay - Friendly staff, helpful and welcoming - Merci beaucoup! The area can be a bit dodgy, if one doesn't know the area, easily accessible (plenty of public transport around and one can also walk to most places/areas), there's plenty of shops and places of interest around. Very clean, comfortable, quiet, even though room was a bit small, but not an issue. Breakfast was good, to kickstart a long a long day.
- Antonio (10/5): Very good. - Tidy, immaculate, functional. In sum, good value for money.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Whacked with unforeseen car parking charges on arrival; the room I was given was used and had not been cleaned (Covid-secure?!), the new room was quite cheap & shoddy - e.g. old mattress, moth holes in curtains; I could hear people walking around upstairs and coming and going during the night (so much for curfew) and the VMC air circulation was very noisy and a bit smelly; and finally, I was unable to get a reduced price / refund given I decided to check out a day early as my PCR test had come through. Frankly, this confirms what I had already au suspected: never book with Ibis. The one redeeming feature preventing this from being a 1* review.... the very helpful and friendly member of staff on reception on my departure day who helped me with printing off all my covid-19 travel paperwork to cross to the U.K. overall, a hotel that’s best avoided I would say.
- Amer (8/5): Good city centre hotel. - Nice hotel in a stellar location. Room a bit small, but near centre of the city. The air conditioning is well needed and made the room comfortable.
The only criticism is parking. They have a tiny garage underneath the hotel with 8 spaces. This inevitably gets filled up.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A nice budget hotel in a good location with plenty of shops and restaurants in the vicinity
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location. Friendly staff. Small rooms
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very helpful staff, comfortable bed and breakfast was very good as well. We really enjoyed our stay. Location was good too with a short walk to many cafes, restaurants and the metro.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Overall stay was good and great location. Would stay here again
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The location was very good close to the metro and great places to eat.
- JDSenior (10/5): - A conveniently located hotel, a short walk from Metro station Ledru Rollin being closest, or Bastille for better connections. Room was comfortable, with good shower. Breakfast was very good with selections of cold meats, cheeses, and breads, croissants, cereals, fruits, eggs, and beverage machine. Front desk staff were helpful, and cleaning staff performed well. Breakfast items were quickly replenished by the staff.
- Madeleine (8/5): Good value for money great location - Great location. Hotel itself cheap and chearful, did the job.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Had a fantastic time at this hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They also seemed very happy to help with queries.
12pm checkout was great, and they were happy to store our luggage for the day.
Rooms were very clean. Nice shower and great black-out curtains. I slept very well. Nice and warm with comfortable pillows.
Good location near a metro station. We were able to walk to Notre Dame and Gare Du Lyon.
Overall a terrific experience from a budget room and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
- RODNEY (8/5): - Nice hotel, downtown and close to train stations. Easy for airport commute and rail to london!
- Derek (10/5): Convenient hotel close to Metro - The hotel staff are nice and friendly. They were patient to assist my needs when I check-in. Also suggestion for store which I can get some personal items. The room was expected from the picture in the booking, its clean, safe and convenient. Although the name of the hotel is very similar to another IBIS in the area and can easily misled you to the hotel in google map. The hotel is 8-10 mins walk to the Bastille Metro Station and which you can take to the other parts of the city. The area is a young hipster area with lots of eatery and drinking entertainment. Do expect a lively crowd from 6 to 12mn, but where isn't in the city of Paris. It does get quiets and dark after 12mn and do becareful. Overall experience is above satisfactory. I would definitely rebook this again.
- marc (6/5): Good location - Everything was ok, although they should keep a mini fridge in the room, would make everyone’s lives easier
- Verified traveler (4/5): Nasty Supervisor - We are happy with our stay in this hotel the staff were very nice, however during our check out we told the reception staff that my brother who will check out the next day will be the one to bring my bike box which is in the storage area. She was talking disrespectfully and loud. We told her that when we checked in we were told that it was ok to store the bike box in the storage area so we don't have to put it inside our rooms so as not to occupy more space in the room. She just kept on talking that we cannot do that because it might get lost.
How can it get lost when the storage area is locked and there are nos and tags on the luggages inside. She was just being arrogant and loud to the point that I told her why can't we not keep it there if they allow other clients luggage inside the storage and our luggage is just almost same size since its in a box. Then I told her that my brother is still checked in and its his luggage then she allow the hotel to keep the bike box in storage. That was the time she stopped talking but after a few seconds she starts again saying she will not be responsible for the bike box because it might be expensive and it might get lost.
We feel that managers like her should not act that way because we are paying clients and we do not demand anything other that what is reasonable and fair. I hope management gets to the bottom of this incident. This happened August 8 at 12 noon.
- Rafael (4/5): disappointing stay at this hotel - I stayed at this hotel at least 4 times already and I am satisfied with the service however this time I had a very bad experience with the hotel supervisor. I booked 6 rooms with them and I left my bike box in their storage so I don't have to bring it up in my room. The lady supervisor was saying I should not leave it with them because they don't want to be responsible for that luggage. I told her we just did that in the last Ibis hotel we used in Paris a few weeks ago.
The next day, we had to check out early so we told the reception that we are checking out and our friend who is based in Paris will pick up the one piece of luggage (bike bag) within the day which happens normally like if in case your flight is still in the evening and you need to check our early you leave your luggage and pick it up within the day. But this time the supervisor gave instructions to the front desk not to allow us to leave the bike bag for pick up within the day.
It was a good thing that the directrice "Odile Simon" arrived to save the day for us because we had a train to catch that day and was so worried about the luggage which our friend will pick up at the hotel. She was kind enough to allow us to leave the luggage for pick up by our friend on the same day.
Since we always do bike trips in the Pyrenees, now I don't know if I should stay in this hotel again because we might have the same experience and we down what that to happen again.
- Nadia (10/5): - We loved the area, and the staff when we checked in was amazing. She spoke Spanish. I wish I could remember her name. She was extremely friendly. We highly recommend this place.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location
Kind staff
Clean rooms
The breakfast could have been better
- Rollo (6/5): Good downtown location, close to Bastille - Standard ibis experience. Hotel reception staff could be a little friendlier but otherwise satisfied stay. Rooms are modern with modern facilities (tv, hair dryer, a/c, usb plug etc).
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable hotel near many cafes and restaurants - Had a nice and comfortable stay. The checkin and checkout were quick and easy. The room itself had air conditioning which was very welcome as it was very hot in Paris at the time.
- Hae Na (8/5): small, nice, cost-effective - It was nice for a travelling alone. It's very near from the metro and bus stop, and you can walk to Bastille in 5 minutes. Howver, there are two single beds even though I requested a double bed. It was not enough comfortable to sleep alone. No refrigerator in the room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice and clean - Nice and clean place, great location. Very small rooms, not nice to be on during the day...
- Laurence (4/5): Good location, disappointing room - Staff we’re helpful and friendly. The location was good. The room was extremely small and we were given two single beds instead of a double even though we asked for a double when we booked. The beds were not comfortable and there was a hair in the bedding. The walls are also very thin so you can hear everything from the rooms next door and above.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very nice - Very clean and comfortable with great shower, excellent location for price aswell. Would recommend for people just wanting a place to stay rather than a luxury hotel
- Stephanie (8/5): Good find, good location - Cute hotel! The hotel and room were clean and the staff were attentive. The location was great too.
Rooms were on the small side, but thats the same with many Parisian hotels.
- Dave (6/5): It's Paris so you're not hanging out in the hotel - The Ibis came with our travel package. The area where it's located is fine, with many restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. The Metro (subway) station is also an easy walk. You are not close to any Paris attractions. That didn't really make a big difference as we hopped on the Metro.
The hotel is very budget minded. Our room was barely big enough to hold the double bed. Seriously, no room even for a chair. But, it was clean and we didn't spend much time there anyway. One plus is that the check-in counter doubles as a hotel bar. So, one night when all the bars were closed we could still have a beer at the hotel!
If you're on a budget and you're exploring Paris, not hanging out in your hotel room, this place is okay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely and well situated hotel - Well sited 10 mins from The Bastille. Small underground car park a bonus, but tight. Breakfast great and good value. Room perfect , but very small towels! Would use again definitely.
- Verified traveler (8/5): First Visit to Paris - Great location. Close to restaurants and metro. However, about 20-30 minutes metro ride to major attractions (Eiffel Tower, Arc, Louvre)
- Verified traveler (4/5): Stay here only for location. - Location is good, close by to the metro. Rooms are very small, when you open the door it touches the bed. Bathrooms are even smaller.
