The place itself is just an old, extremely crowded, and messy house located in a noisy and unsafe neighborhood. The building looked nothing like the photos. I really hope others don’t get misled by the pictures
• James (8/5): - I gave this place a try since it was located close to where I needed to be and the rate was good. The staff was very hospitable and the place was clean. The location may not be ideal for some but if you want to be North of the 10 fwy, mid-city can be a versatile area. Just do some research to make sure. Overall it's a good stay for the $.

• Holly (7/5): Not bad for the price, just wouldn't book again. - I didn't have breakfast. The bus stop was close. I never got a locker and I asked for one 3 times. They also told me that my card wouldn't go through and I had already been charged for my stay.

• Samantha (9/5): Superb - Location was great, ample street parking (as well as their on-property option for $5/night), very nice and clean space with easy check in instructions. The bed was comfortable and the room was well lit with well-placed outlets and full length mirrors. They also provided towels and snacks in the kitchen! I didn't know there was an additional 3% card fee when you pay in card instead of cash. There also aren't towels or anything in the bathroom so you have to remember to bring yours (which I kept forgetting) I'll make sure to remember for next time!

• Marjan (1/5): I would not stay there again and the pictures are not the real ones - Just the price of parking which is 5 dollar per night It is not like the pictures at all. It needs to be renovated or at least repainted. It is like frauds to post these nice pictures and then when you enter you would see a place like for homeless people. Everything seems awful. I didn’t even tried to take shower there.

They take care sincerely when I have a cold Ummmm... Nothing special. But if I must pick one thing, the house is quite old, but that's point could be affordable considering the one day price

• Hcub (10/5): A Becon of Hope - I have never stayed in a Hostel before and I gave nothing but wonderful things to say. It was a safe environment and very clean. Everyone was incredibly nice. I was left stranded in LA for 3 days and I stayed here on the last night as I managed to get money for the stay. This place saved my life that night. Other places I looked at reviews were sketchy. Every single review for here was nothing but positive. I felt safe, I had a hot shower after being on the streets for 2 nights and a comfortable place to get some much needed rest. I had a bunk mate Randy who praised this place as he stays regularly for work purposes and we had one of the most amazing thought provoking conversations of my life and it was exactly what I needed that night. I can not thank them enough for just being a becon of light in the darkness that was my trip. Thank you!!!! I made it home safe and sound, if not for this place that may not have been the case. There was nothing not to like. It's clean, it's safe, it's cute, the staff was very nice and a comfy place to lay your head. Zero complaints on my stay.

• Joyin (10/5): First hostel. Good start. - First off I didn't stay for the dates listed. I was here for a little over 2 weeks and it was great. Meet different people. Some were there for a day, some stayed longer than me. The staff was prompt and helpful, easy going so you can rest or just chill. No cooking. And don't buy too much food at once. Refrigerator is shared. Nothing. Place was great. There are cameras everywhere but they are not intrusive. None will be pointed at your bed or room. Someone might of snuck into the basement while I was there so.....

• Ann (2/5): This property overcharged me. Have to show proof to my bank and report them for stealing. - No bunk bed, a regular twin bed. Have to hunt down owners at check-in, probably so they can overcharge your account. No amenities. No toilet seat covers or paper towels. No hand soap. They give you a hand towel instead of bath towel. I slept in my clothes because there was no heat and left early to wash up elsewhere. If you are not Korean, no friendly vibes. Too poor to keep facility up.
• Ann (3/5): Uninviting atmosphere - Convenient to public transportation. Comfortable bed. Only one bathroom for 10+ guests. No heat provided so slept with clothes on. Manager approached me to say my roommates said I was noisy in the morning. Not true. Koreans made me feel like an outsider.

• Sihyi (10/5): Safe and comfortable place for female travel alone!! - The place is very safe, even for an Asian girl travel alone like me. People here are friendly and normal, the owners, staff, and who live here. It's also very clean and the bed is comfortable, with quite big room space, I can still enjoy some personal space while sharing room with others. There's also cup of noodle and breakfast you can eat in the kitchen. They provide wide space for parking. Nothing! I'll choose here again!

• Aaushi (3/5): I did not feel like I was staying at a decent place. - I met new people and had a good time talking to them For breakfast we had an option to eat cup noodles and that’s all. The coffee machine seemed like it hadn’t been clean for months. The bathrooms were dirty and showers were so small to take a shower in.
• Hannah (10/5): Satisfactory stay, would come again! - It’s my second time staying at this establishment, and I’ve been happy with both experiences. The hosts are friendly and easy to reach. The rooms and beds are as advertised. Bed was comfortable and clean. There are shared bathrooms and kitchen. The guest house is conveniently located in Koreatown and close to the freeway (if you drive; plus you can pay for gated parking for $5/night or street park for free) and close to bus stop. The place is certainly an economical option but I got my money’s worth. I’d recommend if you’re looking for a place that’s affordable and if you’re not high maintenance.
• Iza (6/5): - The bathroom window didn’t have a curtain felt really exposed. Too many specific rules. Weird how the host didn’t give us a key to the room instead said lock it we will unlock it when you come back. It was just a weird uncomfortable vibe. We just stayed for a night and barely spent time in the place would not recommend for longer stays. The blanket was also kind of itchy.
• Gustavo (1/5): Bad - Nothing That place is horrible, they don't clean, they force you to take off your shoes, I don't recommend that place, I don't know why they have that place in the Booking app.
• Eleonora (3/5): I chose this hostel because of the positive reviews, position and of course for the price (that at the end it wasn’t eve - The host was very kind and the bus close to the house that goes straight away to Venice beach. I found the house very different from the pictures, the bathroom was too small to be shared with so many people and very stinky. The room was fine, but I didn’t feel safe at all because you don’t have the key of the house/room and is always open and basically anybody could enter the house. Unfortunately we haven’t been lucky with the roommates as well, one of them was scared about the dark and we all had to sleep with the lights on which is ridiculous.
• Jinock (10/5): Exceptional - It was surprising to know that they provide a breakfast for guests with such a low price. I didn't expect anything because the price was so low even in comparison with all other dormitory type guest house. It was very popular to young travellers from all the world so it's somewhat hard to secure your own privacy at all, and yet, the hosting couple were so wonder and kind to meet any needs from all the guest. Super great! Sure that I will be there again, whenever I travel to LA!

• Millie (5/5): Uncomfortable - Comfy beds, good location The owners were overbearing, they treated you like you were their children. The rules were a little ridiculous with no shoes allowed in the house and only being allowed to shower at certain times and for a certain period of time, and only allowed the AC on at certain times. You were only allowed to use the toaster and microwave in the kitchen, with us being told multiple times the stove was off limits. There was also rules about which days you were allowed to cook. There was no real communal area as they have seemed to cram a bed and divided into any corner they can. There was dust all over the windowsill next to my bed. The bedside cabinets were filled with old rubbish and stained. There was an ant infestation in the upstairs shower, which also only had two settings - scalding hot or off - The owners were also rude to my friend, not even acknowledging her on arrival, insisting on helping me with my bags but not her, not looking at her or responding to her when she tried to ask them a question and even closing a door on her. They also came into the room with no warning and just stared at random times throughout the early hours. Although these things aren’t inherently harmful they did make the stay uncomfortable.

• Nicolas (1/5): I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! You re gonna be yelled at and disrespected - This hostel shouldn't be on booking.com. the hosts are mean, aggressive and not welcoming at all. They never responded to the questions I texted them via the chat. The room wasn t clean. Dirty socks were found under my bed, the bathrooms are not In good shape at all and don t lock, there s a kitchen, a stove and a bunch of other stuff that we are not allowed to use. Only a microwave, no plates just a few very very basic things like bowls and forks available and not even a lot of them. I didn t know I wasn t allowed to use the stove and the hosts started to freak out and get very angry at us. They litteraly kicked us out. They told us to leave the place the same night. I agreed on leaving the next day but ofc I wasn t gonna leave on the same night, where else was I suppose to stay ? It was completely ridiculous! Also the pictures are definitely not the reality ! My room was supposed to only have 3 beds and had 4. No privacy, I know it s a hostel but I ve been to dozens of hostels and this one is clearly not a place that should welcome people. Terrible stay! We left early in the morning, the hosts didn't even say a word. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! You re gonna be yelled at and disrespected. Very disappointing!
