Kävellen pääsi keskustaan 20 min ja kaksi kaunista rantaa 15 min etäisyydellä. Huoneen varustelu toimi kahdelle mainiosti ja majoittajalta selkeät ohjeet.
• Tomasz (10/5): - Wygodny i czysty apartament. Bardzo wygodne i duże łóżko. Aneks kuchenny w którym jest wszystko co potrzeba. Piękny widok z okna na wyspę Lokrum. Spokojna cicha ulica. Do Starego Miasta jest ok 30 min spacerem. Po drodze jest sklep spożywczy. Bardzo dobry kontakt z uprzejmym właścicielem. Mieliśmy możliwość wcześniejszego zameldowania. Wszystko było świetne.

• Rutland (10/5): Would definitely recommend the apartments! - The location was amazing and it was a lovely walk into the old town. It felt very cosy and secluded and peaceful. Everything we needed was there. I loved everything but I would have liked to have had a view from the room. But this was not a deal breaker because the minute you left the apartment the views were amazing!

• James (9/5): - This apartment was brilliant! Miheal the host was very friendly and has lots of helpful information about the surrounding area. I was able to book a transfer to the airport and back which was nice and easy. The apartment is very well located and is only a 15 minute walk to the old town but there's quite a hill to go up on the way back. Everything was very clean inside, the bed was comfy and it had lots of amenities such as coffee, washing machine, toaster, kettle and fridge. The outdoor terrace was very nice with sunbeds and amazing views especially at sunset, there was also a lovely visiting cat. I would highly recommend staying here as its in a nice quiet area aswell!

A proximité des escaliers permettant de monter en haut du télécabine ou de descendre à la plage. L'appartement est grand, confortable et moderne (climatisation, lave linge) avec de quoi faire des repas simples ce qui est agréable pour le petit déjeuner et le repas du soir. Jolie terrasse accessible directement. Proche de l'arrêt de bus ou possible d'aller à pied à la vieille ville. Communication efficace de notre hôte. Parfait Pas de parking en cas de location de voiture.

The apartment is great, clean, well-equipped, with a very comfortable bed. The windows overlook Lokrum Island. The neighborhood is quiet. Very good communication with the owner. He was helpful in booking airport transfers. I highly recommend it. There is nothing like that. Everything was ok. Wonderful rest.

• Hannah (8/5): Beautiful clean apartment, great location if you don’t mind walking. Dubrovnik is stunning! - We had the top floor studio apartment which was lovely. Spacious, clean and well equipped. No view from it but amazing views as soon as you walk out the front door. The bed was very comfortable and the terrace was lovely for a spot of sunbathing. The apartment had everything you could need & more. The guests below us were a little noisy at times, especially coming back at night but this can happen anywhere & my only complaint.

• Amy (10/5): Beautiful apartment in an even more beautiful location. - Located in a stunning area, not too close to the old town that there’s a lot of noise at night but close enough to walk to. Also very close to an excursion bus stop and close walking distance to two gorgeous beaches. The apartment was beautiful and the host (Mihael) arranged for transportation to and from the airport. He was also very quick to respond to any messages and was extremely accommodating. This was our first time in Dubrovnik but we will definitely be coming back and will make sure to book this apartment!

The view from the apartment was amazing. Lovely terrace for enjoying the sun. The apartmnt was really well appointed with everything we needed for a short stay. The bed was really comfortable.

The walk back from the old town was uphill - that's the only negative to the location! But it was absolutely worth it when we had our peaceful afternoons on the sun loungers on the terrace!!

Walk down to the old town was fabulous all down hill.. coming back a bit of a struggle because there was a few hills. Its prob because we are a little unfit...🤣🤣 but it was only 6 euro for an ubar. We hopped in a random taxi one evening and we were charged 20 euro...so be aware.

Check in process was very easy and we could check in at any time Didn’t mention that the terrace was shared with 3 other apartments. Could have had more chairs and tables on terrace to make it more usable. 20-25 mins walk from old town. Apart from this good value for money

• Apoorva (7/5): Decent stay 10 mins drive from dubrovnik old town with good views from the room. - - Great location , amazing views and a good working kitchen perfect for folks looking for longer day stays near dubrovnik - Despite staying for 4 nights, there was no cleaning except after 2 days just a lady coming to change the towels. For longer stays , it just feels good that someone comes and clean the room and change the bedsheets too. - Not many things to eat nearby. There is a supermarket at 10 mins walk and only 1-2 restaurants deliver so managing all meals especially if you plan to have dinner nearby somewhere is going to be a hassle.

The terrace has a beautiful view and is so nice and relaxing. It has all you need, and the washing machine was a great plus. Thank you for that! Also, all amenities are very useful. The host is very accessible always helping with what we need, and even helped me to find a transfer early in the morning to the airport. I really enjoyed my time there and would recommend if you don't mind walking, it is a super nice accommodation in a beautiful location. I'm already missing Croatia 🥲 The only add-on that I would say for the future is having a mirror because it is hard for ladies to get ready without a full body mirror 😅 specially ilfpr short ladies, the mirror in the bathroom is good but we can't see all.

The only downside to being on the ground floor is that any running water from the above apartment sounded like a waterfall.

• Linda (10/5): A Room with a View - The apartment was very thoughtfully outfitted. There were plenty of plugs, the pillows were large, and the water pressure was excellent. Of course, the view was divine. Mihael also arranged for a driver to pick me up from the port, as I had heavy luggage. That same driver guided me to Korcula when there were few other options. Mihael also left very detailed instructions for using all systems in the apartment. The conscientious care from Mihael and the driver made this trip a standout for me. Dubrovnik and Apartment Shining Star exceeded my expectations. Noisy neighbors, both at midnight and 5:30, were annoying but didn't spoil the trip.

Fantastic there was a washing machine and bathroom was big and we liked the outdoor area! We would highly recommend the apartment and would definitely stay here again! Mihael was a fantastic host - definitely worth the super host tag! We didn’t mind the walk into old town (20mins) as we like to walk but some may find it tricky on rainy days. But it wasn’t an issue for us. We would definitely stay here again.

He gave us very clear instructions and was also ready to greet us personally Comfortable bed Spacious studio room Good amenities - we were pleased that there was an iron and washing machine for our use Located on a nice, quiet street The best thing is the VIEWS! Beautiful sea views and great picture opportunities just outside the apartment. Overall, a place that was good value for money. Very thin walls - we were woken up by people dragging suitcases every day and a baby screaming at 1 in the morning. Location - whilst the apartment is suitably located to the old town, the uphill climb can be quite tedious and difficult. Overall it was taking us 25 mins to walk to the Old Town. Taxis were unwilling to take us for less than 15-17 Euros (which is quite extortionate for a 4 minute drive) Whilst not the hosts fault, there were also some guests who were trying to unlock our door in the morning. They didn't follow instructions about checking in. This put us on edge a little bit.
• Maria (9/5): I would stay again but in ap 1 or 2 as you have an outside view. - Liked the location as it was close enough to the centre but far enough to be away from the crowds, very clean and well looked after. We stayed in ap. 3 which was the attic and has no views, a bit disappointing as the view outside the flat is too die for.

• Jens (9/5): Final day in Dubrovnik - Surprisingly, it was quite easy to find a parking spot in front of the apartment and Dubrovnik was only 20-30 minutes away by foot or an 7€ Uber ride. The city can be seen from the terrasse or the upper floor windows. The terrasse offers sunbeds to use (however it is directly at the street). The beds were a bit too soft. The stairs to the first floor are quite narrow. Due to the location there are no nearby stores or restaurants, which however would not considered a distinct problem.

We bought a 72 hour bus pass for 11.95€ (single trip 2.50) and used it lots. It is only at 15/20 minutes walk to town but in the heatwave it was unbearable. Nothing

• Peter (10/5): Our stay in Dubrovnik was wonderful not in small part to having such clean and quiet accommodation with a fantastic view - The property was on the quiet side of Dubrovnik away from the business of the old town and close to a number of beaches and beautiful swimming spots. It would probably be unsuitable for people with limited mobility or who don’t like walking as it is a good 15min walk from the central tourist area with a slight uphill all the way home on the return visit.

Great location - walking distance to the Old Town or the other direction to a beautiful beach where you can kayak. The host went above and beyond to help us store our luggage for our final day as we didn't fly home til the evening. Great transfer service! Beautiful views from our appointment.
• Milly (10/5): Would come again in a heartbeat! - Amazing place, brilliant location away from the noise of the old town but not too far to walk into it. Other reviews say it’s a hilly walk back but it’s just a slightly steep road and you can see the sea the whole time so there’s definitely worse exercises! :) but Uber’s are easy to get as well if you need one. We had a view of the sea, Lokrum island and the old town from the windows in our apartment, and could see the shared terrace from the side window. There’s a cat that comes to say hello most days but minds her business (v cute!). All amenities you could need, there’s hobs, a microwave, toaster, kettle etc and it’s very handy that there’s a washing machine in the apartment too as we stayed for a week. Little supermarkets are only a short walk away as well! The apartments are close to Sveti Jakov beach and we LOVED it there. Great alternative to Banji beach as that gets very busy :) Comfy bed, great air con for the hotter days, and just the right size for 2 people. Brilliant communication with the owner Mihael, and he sorted us transport from the airport as we didn’t get in until 2am so that was a weight lifted. Easy to get into the apartment at that time too. Thank you :)

• Lorna (10/5): Great studio a short walk from Old Town - Great location 15-20 mins easy walk (no stairs) to the Old Town. Great views from the seperate terrace for sunsets over the Old Town. Beautifully renovated. Super comfy bed. Lovely visiting cat. Great shower. So handy having the washing machine with a good quick cycle.
• Edmond (10/5): Relaxing stay - The size and the facilities of the apartment was perfect for us. Sitting at the outdoor terrace facing the water was so relaxing. Washing machine is a good addition to the apartment. Clean and comfortable bedding and linen. The host was very friendly and attentive. The distance from the Old Town, it was a downhill scenic walk from the apartment. Coming back up could be a bit challenging. Uber is also an option or bus no 5 or 8 stop about 150m away. Otherwise all good.

All the basic amenities for a shorter or even longer stay. The nearest coffee shop / supermarket is not exactly next to the place but always on the same way towards the center / old town. In general a highly recommended place to stay! These are more of an ideas for improving the apartment for the future guests based on my stay: - there could be a big, wall-sized mirror in the apartment besides the small mirror of the bathroom - the space between the entrance and the living room / the bedroom could have an extra door to block some sounds coming from the hallway

• Paulius (10/5): Amazing place to stay! - Beautiful apartment in a quiet location. We stayed in the attic apartment, the place felt even better and bigger than looked in the pictures. Very nice, modern, cosy space. It had everything what you need: fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with toiletries, even washing machine. Comfy beds, and the AC worked perfectly. Free parking on the street. Beach is about 15min walk, the beginning of old town is about 25min walk. The small shop is around 10min away. The apartment has shared terrace between all 3 apartments. You can watch beautiful sunset from it. It has sun beds and tables, so you can sunbath or eat. Check-in procedure was well explained. The street is very busy with parking (especially in summer season I guess), so you may need to park a little further from the apartment.

• Sinéad (10/5): Exceptional - While the apartment is about 20 minute walk from the old town, it was perfect for us - lovely and quiet and we enjoyed the scenic walk. It was clean and had everything we needed. Terrace was lovely. Fresh grapes growing above the front entrance :) Mihael arranged to pick us up from the airport and as we arrived late in the evening, he helped us to get a delicious pizza from a local pizzeria and was available on WhatsApp if we needed anything during our stay.

• Trace (10/5): Absolute gem - This gorgeous apartment was a highlight of our European holiday. Superb location to old town, St. Jacobs and banger beaches . supermarket close by and the facilities awesome. Michel simply professional and so quick to respond. Arranged our airport transfer and Rade was superb. The views..... That we didn't stay more days
• Carel (7/5): Nearby old town in a quit area, renewed apartment - Quit place 2 km from old town Modern apartment Carparking Terrace Room has no balcony or terrace of its own (shared terrace)
• Emily (10/5): Great Stay! - Well equipped apartment, nice supermarket close to the apartment, great view to lokrum island, very clean, great host! Good location but it is about a 20 minute uphill walk from the old town, taxi/Uber is very cheap however.
• Riku (10/5): Great stay and service. Highly recommend! - Very nice, clean and compact apartment with a great view. Mihael was very good host and provided great additional services also. Have to give extra kudos for the cooling that the air conditioner provides and also the wifi. Only small drawback was few neighbours causing some loud noises during the night/early morning.
• Kelly (10/5): we would definitely recommend Shining Star apartments and would stay there again when in Dubrovnik. - the studio apartment was perfect for our 2 night stay. it was clean, had air con and everything we needed. it's a walk down hill to banje beach and the old town and we took an uber back up for around 4.50euros...much easier after a day exploring with a 1 year old. nothing
