Guest Reviews
- Ethan (6/5): Good location but hot and noisy - Location was close to the city. We were met by a representative to check us into the apartment. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided and the shower head was broken (the shower head was fixed upon request but it took a few days, toilet paper was never addressed and we had to buy our own). The front bedroom was really hot without air conditioning and the fan in the property was broken. The front room is really noisy from the street throughout the night.
- Vasileia (1/5): - Very dirty and moulded
- Liset (4/5): - It was dark and not well cleaned. In the center there a wash and sitting area also dirty that was open to the outside and let in mosquitos my husband was eaten alive. 2 toilet papers for a 5 day stay with 4 people. All old furniture and no trash bags to replace. The only good thing was that It was very roomy felt like a house but scuzzy you had 3 doors to enter one was a metal gate i guess for safety downstairs bc there were leather market vendors, I felt i was in a 3rd world country as I exited with sellers everywhere. My first impression getting in which I even asked the host was “is this place safe?” I would not stay there again.
- Carlo (10/5): - Great location and helpful host. Be mindful was switched in kitchen can turn off refrigerator. Also wall switch behind microwave turns power on for washer.
- Patricia (8/5): - This apartment was clean and comfortable, only thing was lack of enough toilet paper for three days, had about everything you would need and close to the train station.
- Ronald (6/5): - This property should boast about its location. It is centrally located and even has a great market across the street. After that I do not have anything else to offer as positive feedback. I would compare it to a standard 1 or maybe a 2 star hotel in Italy. The furnishings are old and tired. While not important, they had a lot of weird knickknacks that really should just be tossed as it made the place feel like a garage sale. The bathroom was awful. The shower is small and only offered a handheld wand. I believe the holder was broken or missing. It is noisy in the bedroom near the market all hours of the day. There is a fabric headboard in the other bedroom that had a solid layer of dust and other grossness. The washer had a mildew smell. We did not use the appliances so I cannot comment on those.
- Jennifer (4/5): - While the apartment offered convenience of being in a great walkable neighborhood close to attractions and dining , it was really lacking. It was passably clean. It lacked good bedding, extra blankets etc
Only two towels for the whole week . No washcloths or hand towels. Hot water did not work for a day and a half . Terrible timing , as we had just biked all day and upon return discovered only cold water . Not enough toilet paper- had to buy some. Not enough dish or hand soap , ran out of dish soap and refused to buy that too. Stove top difficult to use and burners were precarious , small pot , tipped if not perfectly balanced. Dark- not enough lighting in the kitchen. Had to use my phone to see what I was cooking . Tv was old and out dated - WiFi was spotty . Would not recommend , unless all the above was attended to. Could be a wonderful spot. Update things and provide better amenities could be a great spot.
- Jennifer (10/5): Charming apartment near mercato centrale - Cozy and comfortable. Perfect place to relax after a day in Florence. We enjoyed the mercato centrale that was right across the street. We ate breakfast there daily and bought fresh fruits, vegetables and pastas to cook in the apartment every evening. Would stay here again and again!
- Jennifer (10/5): Charming apartment near mercato centrale - Wonderful little apartment right across the street from Mercato Centrale. The apartment was such a nice respite after a day of sight seeing. We enjoyed going across the street for breakfast every morning and shooting and cooking dinner most night in the apartment. Cozy, comfortable and affordable!
- Denise (8/5): Very enjoyable time, didn't want to leave - Cute and cozy apartment, great location within walking distance to everything. The terrace was a bonus as it gave us the opportunity to sit outside while having coffee or wine. The kitchen was nice, but there are no supplies at all in it such as salt, pepper, coffee filters, etc. The market across the street was great, but very loud. The shower faucet was hanging and not attached to the wall which made it difficult to hold the handle while washing your hair in that tiny cubby, Easy fix that should have been done prior to us checking in. The front bedroom was useless for someone to sleep in. The noise was constant and I live on a busy street in the US. Some effort, such as noise canceling curtains or shutters that actually work would be helpful. I had to sleep on the couch, which was a bit loud as well as there is no door on the bedroom.
- Richard (10/5): - Lovely apartment in a convenient location. Quiet at night.
- Fiona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christina (6/5): Great location, insanely loud - Location, very central, big apartment, well equipped kitchen, very clean very very very loud, we couldn't sleep at night in one of the bedrooms, drunk people in front of the house screaming and yelling, heating was lacking water, wet room, we didn't receive an answer about a second pair of keys neither about fresh towels, only 2 pairs of toilet paper for 3people and 6 nights, dishwasher didn't work, glasses and cups were dirty we had to clean them before use
- Verified traveler (8/5): - location is great. close to everything. had trouble with hot water heater not working properly for the first couple days. it meant no hot water and no heat. the contact person was finally able to walk me thru getting that corrected.
- Angela (10/5): Four wonderful nights in Florence - We had a great stay at this apartment. Paolo was a very responsive host, and helped me make a taxi reservation for our return to the airport. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, with a fully stocked kitchen and plenty of entertainment options (TV, VCR, DVD player). There are air conditioners in both the main bedroom and the living room. There is not an air conditioner in the front bedroom, but there was enough cool air coming from the living room that it was very comfortable to sleep in there with the fan on.
From the listing, I thought the front bedroom had a futon for a bed. Much to our happy surprise, the futon was still in sofa form and there was also a different large bed in the room. I also had concerns about the front bedroom being noisy at night since the windows are directly above and across from the market stalls. With the fan on, we heard very little disturbance from the street, and most of the street vendors pack up by about 8:00 pm anyway.
The bathroom is large and spacious. Although the shower is small, it has excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. There is also a washer/dryer unit in the kitchen. We couldn't figure out how to use it, but it's there. You may have to be smarter than the appliance!
We thought the location was perfect, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when we return to Florence. We stayed four nights, and we loved our morning routine of getting breakfast at the market across the street.
- Giacomantonio (7/5): Great experience other than the shower. - Space was vast and comfortable. Right in the best part of town. The shower is terrible. Too small for a child much less an adult male.
- Leon (9/5): Convenient location with everything you need to prepare meals at home. - The property is in such a convenient spot for everything. The market is right out side the door. The kitchen is well appointed and has everything you need. The market being right outside the door has its pros but the con is that it is noisy all day and night for the person staying in the front room. Street cleaners, loud groups of people and squeaky escalators! The back room is perfectly quiet. Also, the air conditioners did not heat well. Lastly be prepared for the very steep stair on entrance.
- James (9/5): Very Enjoyable Place to Stay - Safe and very good location; across the street from Mercato Centrale, a market downstairs with many foods to prepare in the apartment, upstairs with many prepared food for lunch and early supper. Help for people who do not speak Italian; friendly people at location. Good sized and comfortable apartment. Diana was very friendly and caring when one of our party fell and was hospitalized. Sometimes noisy at night. Short on toilet paper. No instruction on how to dispose of trash.
- Stefan (5/5): Excellent location, average apartment (de facto no windows, dark and cold). - Excellent location average apartment (apartment is quite big, but de facto no windows, dark and cold, ...). My experience with the keys hand over was really negative (the man who came to hand over keys was very helpful and kind – however, the keys he brought were not able to open the door, so it took ca 45 minutes to get to apartment). Overall rating from me – an average facility with an excellent location.
- Carl (7/5): Good - Great location. Fast responses on app. Good price. Had to ask for WiFi details.
Noisy in evening for sleeping child as market was packing up about 2100
Couldn't work out the central hearing so relied on the A/C.
- Miron (7/5): Good - just in front of the central market, good apartment and very quiet bedroom and even if the street is very noisy with all the leather shops. you pay an extra fee for cleaning but the house was not very clean, dust on the furniture and the air conditioner from the leaving room area was smelly to the point that we couldn’t use it.
- Jayni (10/5): Cute, Homey Apartment - Great! Really cool, comfortable apartment in a location that’s close to everything. Directly across from the Mercato Centrale, a really hip spot to grab food and drinks. Wifi worked great, which was nice since I had to get a few things for work done before getting into trip mode. Communication with host was super quick. Definitely a little noisy in the front room at night, so bring earplugs, but back bedroom was perfectly quiet. Definitely a great value!
- Enid (10/5): - Apartment was cleaned, photos are true to it! Giovanni greeted us and was extremely courteous and helpful. Location is amazing, some noice from the street, nothing to be concerned as I slept in the front bedroom our first night. We loved the kitchen, and the accessibility to the Mercato, just across the street! Definitely recommend this apartment. One of our best vacations ever! Thanks!
- Susan (10/5): Perfect Flat - The apartment was amazing. Comfortable and spotlessly clean. Excellent communication from the management, who also helped me with my bags and calling a taxi. I will definitely stay at the apartment again in the future. Thanks, Davide and Team Firenze!
- Graeme (10/5): Fantastic find in Florence - This is a well equipped lovely large apartment in a fantastic area. Only 5 min walk from T2 team from airport and 15 mins to all key sites in historic centre. Great communication before arrival and warm welcome. The market outside your door is a real bonus although this can cause some noise in the front bedroom it is totally worth it. Would definitely rebook we loved it!!
