- Richard (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Iguazu - We had a wonderful stay at this homestead in Iguazu. It’s not a luxury property but that’s what makes it so special comfortable , welcoming full of authentic character. If you’re looking for a polished sterile hotel experience this isn’t the place for you. But if you want something real warm and personal it is perfect!
The host was absolutely fantastic making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Their kindness and hospitality really made the experience.
And the breakfast honestly the best we have had during our 3 week tour of Argentina! Fresh generous and made with care we looked forward to it every morning.
All in all we would definitely return again.

- GIna (6/5): Lovely hostess but room was too damp - The lady looking after us was lovely and could not have been nicer, good breakfast. It smelt of damp , the lady did kindly put in a dehumidifier which did help but it still smelt musty and the bed was very old and pillows were not comfortable
- Doris (9/5): -
- James (9/5): -
- Giovanni (9/5): The staff very helpful excellent assist - It's a very nice place. I appreciate the privacy it offers, and it seems like you can enjoy your time comfortably on the property. The neighborhood looks decent, and I haven't noticed any issues. There are many nice restaurants nearby, all within a short distance. We felt quite comfortable in this location. The room was comfortable but could benefit from a few improvements. First, adding a TV would enhance the overall experience. Additionally, installing grab bars in the shower area would improve safety, especially since there is a shelf over the sink where someone could accidentally bump their head.
Furthermore, better ventilation in the breakfast area and some nighttime lighting would increase visibility. It would also be helpful to create a small kitchenette in the room or allow access to the existing kitchen. Implementing these recommendations would make the space much more comfortable.

- Ian (9/5): Lovely, peaceful place to stay. - Beautiful place, very well designed. Quiet garden, good room. Excellent breakfast. Wonderful service by Soledad. We would definitely stay there again. It is a little far from the town centre but that helps make it a quiet retreat and the local area is interesting and friendly.
- Ruth (10/5): Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis - Sehr freundlicher Empfang
Sehr gutes Frühstück
Sehr hilfsbereit Es hat uns alles gefallen
- Denise (6/5): -
- Melina Dimoula (9/5): - Great place, very happy with my stay. Location is a bit tricky, but still comfortable to get to the falls
- Nancy (10/5): We are happy we chose to stay at Secret Garden while visiting Iguazu Falls. - Beautiful atmosphere, delightful staff and wonderful breakfast. We highly recommend Secret Garden. All good.
- Simone (9/5): - Die Unterkunft war einfach aber bezaubernd. Das Personal äußerst nett und aufmerksam. Ich kann es einfach nur empfehlen . Es gibt nichts zu beanstanden.
- François (7/5): - Très beau jardin. Literie peu confortable.
- Jeff (9/5): -
- Claudia (5/5): Freundlich, aber weit überteuert. Backpacker-Niveau - Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Hausdame. Netter Garten.
- Laura (8/5): -
- Seghers (10/5): Hemels paradijs. - De rust. Niets.
- Christine (9/5): Really enjoyed this stay at secret garden and would recommend to other travellers. - Excellent staff, lovely outside area, peaceful and tranquil. Good breakfast and a complimentary evening cocktail. Helpful with all arrangements etc. Better lighting in room. But no other issues at all.
- Glenda (9/5): A delightful hideaway, comfortable and very special - It is unique! Full of beautiful artefacts. Bird song woke us up every morning- heavenly. Great breakfast and helpful staff. Could have done with some form of body wash and a handwashing- plenty of shampoo and conditioner but no soap.
Me desilusionó.
Nichts.
- Nelly (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (8/5): Quiet and hospitable stay - Super quiet stay with very friendly staff for check in and breakfast, good breakfast, clean with all basic amenities. A little basic considering the price. No help available or offered on getting around etc, despite other reviews suggesting there would be.
- Vicky (7/5): Good -
- Ramona (10/5): Simple yet sublime. Loved it. - Sweet oasis, friendly staff, comfortable room—all good. N/A
- Andrew (10/5): A lovely oasis to return to after a tiring day. - Our hostess Soledad was outstanding. She responded quickly to enquires, she was attentive and provided a fabulous breakfast & sunset drink. Beautiful garden and large comfortable room. Nothing to complain about.
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional - The garden was just beautiful and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic!
- Rafael (1/5): Overpriced - Nice garden. Value for money is just off here.
For a budget option this would be ok. In our room not even the main light was working and the mosquito net was broken. The showers are super small with no water pressure.
- Stephen (10/5): Beautiful setting within a beautiful place - Large confortable room in a beautiful garden setting in a convenient location. Communication was excellent and Noel was extremely helpful in recommending tours and organising and a local driver who was superb. The staff were very friendly and made us excellent breakfasts each day.
- Kerry (9/5): Superb - The staff are among the nicest and most helpful people that I've encountered in a hotel. Soledad is skilled at anticipating one's needs and has answers and suggestions if needed. She always offered a late checkout. For me, the location is convenient. There is a bus stop nearby for the Rio Uruguay bus to the Iguazu National Park. I loved the small size of the property and will be happy to return.
- Alan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (6/5): Pleasant -
- Neil (9/5): A different sort of stay than a big hotel. Personal and intimate. - A rustic place tucked away from the centre of Iguazu. This isn't chrome, tile and new fittings and fixtures. It is quaint and harkens back to a simpler almost colonial feel without any pomposity. Staff are lovely and the breakfast overlooking the back garden area is a perfect start for the walking which should be done to really experience both sides of the magnificent falls.
- John (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jencseattle (7/5): A friendly and budget-friendly option for visiting Iguazu - Bear in mind that this is a small bed and breakfast, I think only 2-3 units. The proprietor is a one woman-show, checking me in and also making lovely breakfasts each morning. She was very sweet and conscientious, showing me the unit where she lives so that I could find her if I needed anything. The location is on a quiet street, a very short walk to a few restaurant options and grocery stores. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe walking around at night to and from my accommodation. The accommodations were a bit more rustic than I was expecting, however the room was clean and I had the things that I needed. The walls between units don't offer much sound-proofing, and I could hear a lot of noise from the family staying next door, but fortunately they didn't stay up late.
- Max (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aidlberg (10/5): Exceptional - The host , Soledad. She was kind and took very good care of us. Sitting outside in the garden.
- Mollie (10/5): Perfect spot for visiting the falls! - We felt so looked after here - the ladies were absolutely lovely and made a fab breakfast on both mornings. Delicious cocktails too! They advised us to walk a short way to go to the Main Street of bars/restaurants which was nice, but there’s also a couple of options close by too for when you’re tired after the falls. Great accommodation and was perfect for 2 friends.
- Vicki (10/5): Beautiful oasis - Beautiful oasis, safe and calm. Spent the afternoon watching the hummingbirds.
- Linda (7/5): Close to the airport and the Falls - It truly is a Secret Garden tucked away in the middle of an average neighborhood with lots of lush plants and a nice little sitting area in front of our room. The host, Solidad did a nice job of making us feel comfortable. The welcome drink and snack was much appreciated. Breakfast was basic but good. She helped us get a taxi when our Uber did not show up. All in all a wonderful hostess. For some reason, the water did not work in the morning and we were stuck in the shower was soap on our hair. Also, the bed could’ve been much more comfortable.
- Alan (10/5): Exceptional - Increíble staff like staying in the jungle cruise at Disneyland without the animals or cannibalism
- Rudi (3/5): I would not recommend this place. The only good thing was the staff. - The staff was very friendly and helpful and there it ends. The whole property has seen better times. I would say it needs a lot of TLC. It certainly wasn’t worth the money we paid for the accommodation.
We could have stayed at a nice 4 star hotel for less money. We know because we tried to find alternative accommodation but unfortunately there was no availability.
- Alexandre (7/5): Good - garden, large room, very nice staff
- Simon (8/5): Very good - Breakfast and a sundowner served in a leafy (secret) garden. Lots of nice wood had a soothing effect. Staff friendly and attentive. Nice English touch over the exit from the terrace.
- Donna (10/5): Secret Garden Iguazu - The staff were so friendly and accommodating especially Soledad, even though we spoke no Spanish ... we translated through an app. We arrived early and they looked after us until our room was ready. They organised a packed breakfast when we said we had an early morning pick up for our trip to Iguazu Falls. Noel was always quick to respond when I asked questions through Booking.com. The location was two minutes walk to the supermarket, 5 minutes to some restaurants and 15 minutes to more recommended restaurants. About 15-20 minutes drive to the Iguazu National Park. Room was big, shower hot and powerful, heating in the room, a lovely homey feel. Don't be fooled by the blue gate when you first arrive. It opens out into a little forest paradise. It was great for our needs.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Peaceful, comfortable, convenient, with nice breakfast and very warm and helpful staff. - Location: Quiet oasis conveniently in town and on the way from center to waterfall. Around the corner from a grocery store.
Staff: incredibly nice and arranged a tremendous driver for us (Diego)
- Caroline (9/5): Superb -
- Ruthie (6/5): Meh, I’ve been to much better. - The woman caretaker, Soledad, was lovely and pleasant. I had high expect about this place based on the reviews but found this place rather dumpy. It was also farther away from town than I had thought and as a solo female traveler, I found it a little uncomfortable walking at night.
- Joyce (9/5): Great comfortable stay in a mini rain forest retreat! - The wonderful warm welcome and help throughout. Service with a smile. The mini rainforest garden. Comfortable spacious rooms with crisp bed linen and mosquito nets. Nothing
- Akins (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alex (8/5): A charming stay in a very chilled little guest house - with the nightly caipirinhas on the terrace a lovely touch! - Really cute, lush, secluded garden with calming breakfast terrace. Staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. The bed was quite a small double and not very comfortable.
- Eyal (7/5): Good - The staff was very hospitality, and are amazing ,the rooms are spacious cleaned This is a small b&b, old, not renovated , very different from the booking rated score , the garden is buitifull, but the room facility is fair at most
- Gina (8/5): Enjoyed our stay and would stay there again - The breakfast and welcome drink were very nice. The owner is very available and helpful via email to communicate in English especially as I needed access to medical services which he organised.
The rooms in amongst the tropical garden was lovely The rooms aren’t very soundproof if you have noisy neighbours. It is away from the falls and a walk into town for the restaurants but we didn’t mind this especially as you are away from all the other tourists.
- Timothy (10/5): Excellent value for money - It was very peaceful and close to all the amenities. We found the staff to be outstanding and the welcome Caripirina cocktail was most welcome. Nothing
- Joyce (9/5): Delightful, welcoming stay - makes Iguazu Falls all the more special! - The lady (Sordina???) was wonderful, warm, welcoming. Kind. Understanding, helpful, professional, informative and always available. The place from outside is not very attractive, but when you enter you really see where the name came from. It’s like you have your own mini rainforest as a garden. Rooms spotless, beds comfortable, water available, plenty of towels. A real rainforest feel. We thank everyone for their kind attention! We recommend! Maybe a little noise from
Mopeds at night - they whizz past very loudly but no fault of the hotels!
- Rafal (10/5): Lovely quiet and clean place - Lovely staff and very clean accommodation Nothing
- Owen (9/5): Superb - Great service and breakfast Is a little beat up with cottage feel.
- Margarita (9/5): Pleasant stay in tropical garden - Hotel was in nice gaden, cozy, big rooms, comfortable beds, tasty coffe Continental breakfast, omelette without ham
- Michelle (10/5): A hidden gem - Absolutely quiet location; spotlessly clean; English speaking host who was away during our stay but was accessible via messaging. He went above and beyond with his advice, particularly as we needed medical help during our stay. Let me tell you, in South America, this was GOLD. Nice to be able to get a cold beer and glass or bottle of wine at the end of the day. Staff were very helpful and attentive and we could converse via google translate. Walking distance to great restaurants, supermarket and wine shop. Honestly, can’t think of anything.
- Foster (9/5): After a shaky start, I became very impressed with the property. - The cloth napkin breakfast on the patio was very nice. Service was exceptional and punctual and the meal was served at the exact time we had requested. The staff was extremely nice.. Rooms were very clean and efficient. The complementary caipirinha bev was a nice touch. Also, the staff had arranged a car and driver for us, and that was accomplished perfectly.. Staff held our luggage while we toured the Falls (incredible by the way) and our driver picked them up later in the day. This was a nice service. Location was within easy walking distance of excellent restaurant. Entering the property was a little intimidating. You ring a bell, and they come escort one down a gravel path. It was initially a little disconcerting. Now that I know the place, this feature is not so bad.. It seemed weird at first that there was no actual office/reception desk. But they have their system, and it worked.
- Pavel (7/5): Friendly staff. Cozy garden and veranda. Less convenient, simple accommodation. Pretty expensive. - Friendly staff. Cozy breakfast terrace. Cozy garden. Lovely exterior design. Very simple, less convenient beds. Pretty expensive for a very simple accommodation.
- Etw017 (9/5): Cute little oasis in town - Super cute little property not too far from town and well located near supermarkets, restaurants and the bus to the falls. We really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was filling and the afternoon happy hour a nice touch. Very minor but it was hard to get in touch with the staff. Check in relied on ringing a doorbell outside and we were never sure how to get in contact with anyone should we need to.
- Hook (9/5): Superb - Friendly helpful staff. Ex location Nil
- Dennis (7/5): An unusual accommodation set within a small 'jungle' at the back of a house. - We were there for 3 nights. Breakfast was the same each day - eggs, toast, tea or coffee, fruit, fruit-juice. A tea pot was used for the tea; fresh milk was available.
This is in a garden of tropical trees and bushes hence the 'secret garden' title. Plenty of anti-mozzy sprays etc available.
Pleasant staff. Clean, comfortable bed.
Fairly basic and unfussy, good value for money. We speak Spanish but this might prove a difficulty for anyone who doesn't as although the staff were very pleasant and helpful only one person could speak English therefore if no Spanish speaker is travelling communication is limited.
We had a shower leak in the bathroom which was quickly fixed.
risk of mosquitos.
The safe in the bedroom was difficult to use at it did not have a code but a key which wasn't very reliable.
- Sandy (8/5): We recommend with thumbs up for a quiet getaway spot. - It is a sweet gem hidden in a street that is rather depressed. Noel took us to our charming, spotless room and then brought us caipirinhas and bruschetta as we sat outside in the lovely garden. She set out a mosquito coil given the pests were lingering a bit. The breakfast was delicious- perfect scrambled eggs, toast with ham, cheese, jams, fresh orange juice and fresh cut fruit plus nice coffee! The town in general is not attractive, so not being in the center was not a disappointment.
- Roni (7/5): Good - ? Location
- Jana (9/5): We enjoyed the Secret Garden and the the intimate ambience. - Breakfast was delicious and ample. The rooms were large and very clean. The staff was exceptionally helpful. We appreciated the evening snack!
- Christine (8/5): Very good - The serenity! Google Translate was very necessary. Some more available information would have helped a lot. There was also a minor snafu when the promised transfer wasn’t booked, but I got a taxi with me real problems, just a delay while waiting.
- Walter (8/5): Nice stay :-) - Friendly and homey Surrounding streets were unpleasant.
- Draganpr (9/5): Superb - We are usually going to hotels, while Secret Garden is hostel, so expectations are quite different. However everything was perfect. Even more, due to the flight cancellation we came one day later, but there was no any problem with accommodation. Inside garden is real tropical garden and is perfect.
- Jean (10/5): Staff amazing. Little extras …. Coffee snacks brought to room. A delightful Brazilian cocktail anther evening. I will re - Unique lives up to its name …. A special haven in jungle environment. Nothing. Rustic special
- Diana (9/5): It was a perfect location with all the amenities we needed for our visit to Iguazu. - Tranquil vibe with great attention from the staff.
- Claire (10/5): Perfect little place in Puerto Iguazú - Everything. Very comfortable, clean, lovely staff, nice complimentary cocktails
- Stephanie (10/5): Our stay was great thanks to the great staff. They remembered little things about us - The breakfast was great! Location was very nice, peaceful. Nothing
- Kai (10/5): Charming B&B - Little paradise. Charming, cozy, clean, and delightful. Would stay again and would recommend to people going to the falls. Breakfast and staff were wonderful. Loved it all.
- Carolyn (10/5): Charming - This bed and breakfast is clean, comfortable and charming. The staff were very gracious, allowing us to store our luggage after check out till our flight departed.
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing staff, and very quiet location. Everything was great.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- George (10/5): A great place to stay when visiting the Falls. - We visited Puerto Iguazu, like most other tourists, to visit Iguazu Falls...This accommodation fit our needs perfectly, at a good price, and was comfortable. We would stay there again.
- Helen (10/5): Lovely characterful accomodation in beautiful gsrden - Very characterful. Staff were lovely. Drinks and bruschette provided each evening. Well located for garden with humming birds and animal sanctuary. Handy supermarket. Taxi needed to go in to town. All good. Drinks were expensive apart from complimentary drink at coctail hour but supermarket handy for byo.
- Lynne (10/5): Definitely recommend. - We loved everything about this place. Great location, friendly staff, spotlessly clean.
- David (6/5): Well located. Short taxi ride (2,000 pesos) to some excellent restaurants. The area seemed very safe - Lovely garden. Excellent staff. Good breakfast. Before we arrived the owner (John?) responded to questions almost immediately. After we arrived he was nowhere to be seen nor heard. No answer to any of our nor the other guests questions. “Hors de combat” is a good way to describe it. Also, the WiFi does not work in the three guest rooms at the end of the garden, only in the breakfast area. That was annoying.
- Diana (8/5): Very good - The property was so lovely, the garden had all kinds of butterflies around, they offered an evening cocktail and appetiser if you were around and their scrambled eggs at breakfast are delicious!! The room smelled like mold, I would suggest cleaning the air conditioner filter.
- Sandra (10/5): A lovely haven near Iguazú Falls - It was a lovely refuge from the city but well located for visiting the tourist sites. Communication was excellent and the staff were lovely. We highly recommend it. Nothing
