• Vougazianos (5/5): Horrible - Next to a bar outside Did not offer food in restaurant because a party of 40 people were coming in and they were doing a buffet for them. Turned me away as I wanted to order off menu. Pillow was roack hard. Air conditioning, turned it off for peace but then it had a clicking every 15 seconds. Air conditioning did not go off once you pulled the card out of the switch. Had to try severa times. Slamming doors from others on same floor. Doors were too heavy. Nobody cares that you are in bed trying to sleep. Mattress awful! Rock hard, no sleep for my one night stay. Awful. Not returning. Too expensive to stay here for this! No bar inside. Said its been closed since Covid days. Not good.
• sivakumar (9/5): Home away from Home in Singapore -nearer to Little India ( I am from India) - Village hotel is where I stay for almost more than a decade !. It is best for Business and Family travel, The Front office staff, the Housekeeping people, Conceirage all are very nice. The front office staff-Ms.Vani, Mr, Aghilan and the Manager Mr, Santhosh ( Name I may be wrong) all are very helpful to guest. It is very nicely located and close to temples, eating place and also for shopping and very safe. The Albert Court has a nice evening sitout restaurants where the guest enjoy and un-winde their time. I always give first preference to this place and feel it is like a Home Away from Home for me !. Nothing in particular. They can keep in all floors drinking water as a seperate provision instead of taking from the tap. The attitude of the staff is very nice and that is a very good strength for the hotel

• Rita (9/5): Great value hotel in a convenient location near Little India - During our two-week trip, we stayed at this hotel twice. It offers very good value for money, with fairly spacious rooms and a clean bathroom. The bed was comfortable as well. The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from the Little India district and is located in a pleasant area. During our second stay, we were stayed in a room facing the area with restaurants and bars in front of the hotel, so it was quite noisy at night.

• Apurva (8/5): Good hotel and stay which could be made better. - Location and cleanliness was good. Good on-site restaurant especially because I was travelling with my parents who prefer Indian food. The onsite restaurant gave both Indian and western options to keep everyone happy. The policy that because the hotel decided to be eco friendly they are not providing bottled water. I understand that bottled water doesn’t align with your goal but just leaving the room with an empty glass bottle isn’t great customer experience either. You could at least fill up the bottle with drinking water or keep drinking water dispenser at each floor or in lobby. Asking customers to fill-up drinking water from bathroom is unhygienic no matter how clean and pure Singapore water is.

• Christine (8/5): Good choice and good for transport - Good location for us near to MRT, a nice little courtyard out front with bars and restaurants. Comfortable bed, pillows were very firm had to ask at reception for a soft one which was left that day. The room was a little noisy, sounded like a lift was going all the time and toilets flushing all the time, I think this was just the location of our room. The pillow was too hard but this was resolved straight away.

The hotel is only about a 5-minute walk from the Little India district, and the metro station is also nearby. Daily housekeeping was provided, and the bathroom was clean and well maintained. It offers excellent value for the price. -

I requested them to cancell 20-23 and refund the money. They confirmed cancelling the 20-23 booking. Then I needed one more day stay on 22 in the format booking. They said since previous booking is cancelled I will have to pay for 22. I paid. When I asked for the cancel receipt of 2023 They said it is not cancelled and no refund. Then I asked them why did you charge me for 22 again when there was no cancellation. Lucille front desk girl was cheat not trying to understand. Kindly refund the 2023 stay money if you are fair

We stored our luggage as we had a late flight and they gave us towels to use for the guest shower as we had been out all day. Breakfast is lovely, lots of Indian veggie options and western options too. Great location to walk to most places including Raffles for a Singapore Sling! Everything was great.

• graham (8/5): A very well positioned hotel to explore Singapore. We would stay again but request a room not on ground floor level. - The location is great and close to MRT stations. Colonial style is lovely 👍 Value for money is good. This was our 2nd visit. Unfortunately, we had to ask for a change of room this time, as room 108 wasn’t in a good position on the ground floor. There were signs of insects & you could really hear the Karaoke bar next door. We were meant to have a room upgrade via booking .com genius bonus, and the other room we were given was much nicer in outlook and style. Mood of staff changed when we asked for another room which was a pity.

• Samantha (3/5): Unpleasant. Will not book this location again. Please investigate. - Upgraded suite after they screwed up on the booking. 1. Incorrect Guest Check-in Details Despite Booking on Behalf of Guests When making the reservation, I specifically selected the option indicating that I was booking on behalf of my guests, and that two guests would be checking in. However, upon arrival, one guest had to cancel the trip, so I accompanied the remaining guest to check in. At the front desk, the staff insisted that I was listed as the main guest and required my personal details in order to proceed. I explained that this was incorrect, as I was only the booker and not the staying guest. Despite this, they stated they could not proceed without using my details. This creates a serious issue. If I had not been physically present, the actual guest may have been denied check-in entirely. It defeats the purpose of allowing customers to book on behalf of others and could have caused the whole booking to fail. 2. Lack of Accountability from the Property After this issue occurred, the property staff told me to file a complaint directly with Booking.com and emphasized that it was “not their issue.” They claimed they were unable to make any corrections at the counter. Instead, they offered a suite upgrade. While appreciated, the upgrade did not solve the core issue. If both original guests had arrived without me, the booking would still have been unusable. 3. Poor Guest Service During Stay The following day, my guest contacted the front desk / concierge requesting assistance to obtain some salt. Staff responded by telling her to get it herself, claiming they were busy. She was ultimately required to go to the kitchen personally to collect it. This level of service is disappointing and falls below reasonable hospitality standards. 4. Poor Room Facilities and Maintenance Issues In addition, the room facilities were old. The toilet flushing system had issues during the stay, and mattress were uncomfortable.
