Guest Reviews
- ChateauxFabulous (10/5): Amazing Gem with Eleni as the diamond in the crown. - My husband and I went to Athens for my 50th birthday week. Tui suggested this lovely hotel and we stayed for a week. The location is so great to explore Athens. the hotel and the entire team was lovely and would not hesitate to go the extra mile to help and assist with anything.
Special shout out to Eleni, she made our holiday so memorable. I have been in touch with a few weeks before we arrived and she booked us a Bazukia concert with our two most favourite Greek singers, amazing restaurants she suggested and booked for us, a trip to Delphi, and the list goes on and on. I even received a bottle of wine for my Birthday. She is a super star and wow wow wow.
its always the little things that makes the difference and you guys got it. well done. we have decided to come stay with you again very soon.
- judithlQ2212TF (10/5): Wish we could have stayed longer here - We stayed for seven nights at the Acropolis Hill Hotel and enjoyed it so much we would have stayed longer if we could. The reception staff were all very helpful - in particular a young lady who spoke excellent English and took time and trouble in response to our polite request for a view by finding us a room that was perfect. Cleanliness was of a high standard, towels were changed daily, the bed was comfortable, and there was very little noise from neighbouring rooms (ok, one guest did giggle a lot, but should we begrudge her being happy?) The hotel doesn't have a restaurant as such - no evening meals; you can order out if you want to eat in - but breakfast was good, fresh and varied and served in a pleasant room overlooking the small swimming pool. The hotel's location is ideal, only a short walk in one direction from the Acropolis area with its many ancient temples and wonderful Acropolis Museum, and in the other direction - turning right out of the hotel entrance and walking a few yards to a long flight of steps - is the downward route to the many shops and restaurants (and a veritable Aladdin's Cave charity shop in Drakou). One word of caution - the streets in the neighbourhood are very steep; but having said that, my husband and I are both elderly (79 and 82) and managed to climb them, albeit slowly. And if we didn't fancy the exercise, the Uber taxi service in the city is very reasonably priced.
- 32bark (2/5): receptionist tried to poison me after complain about the problems with the room - Terrible,
After my complaint about about some issues (bad smell in the toilet, open latrine and loose and broken drains, no exhaust fan in the bathroom, non-functioning heating and excessive noise in room 504.), the receptionist tried to poison me, ordering a dish with PORK when I told her clearly that could not eat PORK due to a serious health condition. TERRIBLE. Plus, I heard her saying "F.". "u". Cost of the night: 109 EURO.
Streets without sidewalks or pavement for pedestrians, located on a curve, and also without nighttime lighting, where there is a constant flow of vehicles driving at high speed.
- oldgingergit (10/5): Great little Hotel - We stayed at the Acropolis Hill Hotel for three nights in November 2025 and can thoroughly recommend it. It is just a five or six minutes stroll from the Acropolis itself and within easy walking of all the major sights. Our room was on the fifth floor overlooking the street , some reviewers have complained of traffic noise but we found it very quiet, only the odd vehicle every few minuites. It is probably busier at the height of the season though. The view from our balcony in one direction was the sea, the other was the acropolis itself. The room was very clean and bed comfortable, lovely shower. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was fine so long as you don't expect a big "fry up"( fried eggs but cooked rock solid), lots of variety if your not too fussy. No bar as such but reception staff will serve drinks on request.
Overall great little hotel and can see why so many reviewers return.
- aliciahM544RI (10/5): Lovely little hotel - A lovely little hotel. My only gripe was that the room was boiling even in November, (air con was only set to heat, couldn't put it on cool) but other than that, it was clean, well maintained, the staff on reception are helpful and friendly and the hotel is in a great location. Let's not forget the fantastic view of the Acropolis from the roof terrace!
- Rowena (10/5): - Had a fantastic stay at Acropolis Hill. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were attentive, friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect. Great value and excellent service — highly recommended!
- Robert Allen (8/5): - Clean room with a decent breakfast
- Annette (10/5): - Wide variety of items for breakfast, not just bagels and cream cheese. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location was very convenient to the shopping and dining area, about a 10-15 minute walk. Also very close to the Acropolis and its museum. I would highly recommend this hotel.
- Thomas (10/5): - Location
- Bill (10/5): - Comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Away from hustle and bustle.
- juliebC5934LG (10/5): Great hotel with views - Absolutely fantastic hotel to stay in, about 10 minutes walk to the acropolis. Beds are very comfy and all members of staff from the cleaners to front of house staff very friendly and helpful, in particular vaggelis who was very helpful getting tea or coffee sachets and milk when you needed it nothing was a problem. Breakfast was continental. Great view from roof top of the acropolis. Would highly recommend this hotel and if I was to come back to Athens I would definitely come back to this hotel.
- Linda (10/5): - loved the location and staff
- mariasP1678ZH (8/5): Nice, comfortable hotel - Stayed at the Acropolis Hill hotel in Athens for three nights. Good location as it is close to the acropolis as well as restaurants in every direction. It is a 20 minute walk to downtown, Syntagma Square area. Plaka is about 15 minutes walk away. Great restaurants for every taste. Found vegan gluten free restaurants and several seafood places of good quality. Staff at hôtel were friendly. Room fridge wasn’t working so they called a repair person who allegedly fixed it but it barely cooled anything. They did offer to let us put items in their main fridge if we wanted. Not really convenient as we only wanted it for cold drinks. Decent breakfast in the morning. Overall a nice, comfortable place.
- Claire Audrey (6/5): - TV had little signal and no English news channel; beds comfortable; breakfast good; pool good to cool off in but not long enough to swim in; reception staff very helpful and friendly
- Eugenia (10/5): Fair hotel. not worth the view - Good hotel although would not recommend it if you are planning on using the metro or are a solo traveler. The way over from the closest metro station is insanely steep, and you need to climb stairs on an iffy block which gave us the creeps a bit.
While the rooftop does have an amazing view of the Acropolis, the terrace itself is pretty lousy, with old rusty tables and chairs and zero shade. All in all, I would say a fair hotel but I have stayed at better in Athens before....
- Tonya (8/5): - The only issue I had was the pictures of the pool on the website didn't let us know that it was at the bottom of the hotel and really didn't get sun, but other than that the staff and room were nice and the beds were comfortable.
- Go46911771387 (4/5): Horrible Hospitality Great Location - I am writing this review as I hope others in a similar situation can have a "heads up" on a few things. We are a young family traveling with two young toddlers. The hotel advertised as family friendly (they even offered a baby cot and car seats). Based on the reviews, the reference to kid friendly accommodations and the close proximity to the major attractions we thought this would be a great option. Unfortunately, after an extremely long travel we arrived at the hotel and immediately felt uncomfortable. They seemed annoyed by the children. The kids were not being destructive, not screaming, but being regular toddlers, talking louder than necessary, arguing over who could push the elevator button, but nothing outlandish. The room was a lot smaller than expected but honestly I could have easily looked past that if we were treated nicely (it is the city after all). We got the breakfast package and again felt like outcasts. You could hear a pin drop in the breakfast room and while we tried to ensure that the kids did not bother the other guests, they were talking and we felt like we had to hush them the entire time. The water cups were glass which you filled with a communal pitcher from the buffet, my husband went up with my sons plastic small water bottle to put water in as we did not want to take a chance that he would break the glass cup, he immediately got yelled at by an employee who told him that he could not take things with him to go. He was simply filling a child's plastic water bottle not shoving muffins in his pocket and we were sitting down. After feeling uncomfortable and not welcome for several days it was finally time to leave and we were so relieved. I had asked at check in what the procedure was for arranging transport back to the airport, and was told to schedule with the front desk the day before. When we booked the hotel it said transport included. On the way from airport to hotel they did not charge us (except for carseats which was understandable). The day before our departure I scheduled the shuttle with the front desk and she asks for payment for the carseats, no problem. We leave the next day get all the way to the airport and I tip the driver, at which point I am told that I need to pay for the ride. I was completely caught off guard. He called the hotel to confirm and was told that only one way was free. I asked why I wasn't told that when I booked it and why would she only charge me for the carseats the day before but not mention payment of the actual trip. I have no problem paying for the transport and even gave the driver a very generous tip but what I do have a problem with is how poorly we were treated, how uncomfortable they made us feel and their lack of communication, it was unprofessional and not the Greek hospitality I expected at the beginning of our trip. Luckily we went to various Islands after our Athens stay and everyone was so nice and went above and beyond accommodate both us and the kids. On another note, the hotel was clean, the buffet was plentiful, and the location was optimal, the acropolis and other main attractions were about a 5-10 minute walk. Maybe this forum was a chance for me to vent but I hope that another family with young kids does not have to feel the way we did (its hard enough traveling with little kids) and ultimately the main goal here is maybe the hotel staff makes some changes--it costs nothing to be nice but can make a huge difference.
- Kj (10/5): - Location was perfect! Easy walking to catch hop on hop off and super cute shops. Christoff is the very best . Thank you from all of us for making our first time in Athens Amazing!! 💕
- Joanna (10/5): - Everything is great no changes
- beckygGents (8/5): Roof terrace was the show stopper! - Nice hotel with friendly staff in quiet, safe area. Easy to walk to bars & restaurants. Hotel was clean & had all we needed. Was a great base for exploring the city! The roof terrace was an incredible place to sit with a wine at sunset. Only small problem we had was our beds were very hard. Woke up very sore in the mornings! Would definitely stay again if in Athens.
- Rebecca (8/5): - Loved our 5 nights at this hotel. Easy check in, room was a good size for 3 & very clean. Little balcony was a nice extra. The show stopper was the roof terrace though, amazing views. Great location too, easy to walk & safe! My daughter enjoyed the pool too.
- Christina (2/5): - DON’t just DON’T! Property is on a hill and busy street without sidewalks. The rooftop consists of a few worn out patio tables. The pool is old and dirty and located between two walls. The lobby has a strong odor of heavy perfumed cleaning solutions that triggered an asthma attack. Arriving on our flood we were faced with a dark creepy hallway with stained, wobbly carpet that felt like it had sustained water damage. Our room had more dirty carpets, worn out towels, stained upholstery, stuffy air, and a persistent heavy perfumed cleaning solution odor that would not dissipate even after we opened the balcony door. We quickly realized that we could not stay and opted to leave. Expedia tried to advocate for a refund but was unsuccessful in getting a refund for my €355 for the TWO NIGHT booking. I am sure Expedia has received their cut from the fee… :( Bad blood- rethinking my options for booking from this platform.
- Wladyslaw (10/5): - Good hotel
- davidsW7759GH (8/5): Short but Nice Stay at Acropolis Hill Hotel. - This hotel is very conveniently located, particularly to the Acropolis. the neighborhood was very safe and nice with restaurants nearby. We stayed there for 1 night prior to embarking on our cruise. For our experience it is a good value for what we needed. Everything was a bit small however. The elevator was tiny and it was an effort to fit in luggage and bring it to our room. Rooms were small but clean. Staff was helpful and courteous allowing for a later checkout which was extremely helpful. The buffet was a great feature and the food was fresh and very good. For short stays similar to ours, when you are not in need of luxurious accommodations, I would definitely say it is a good option.
- Elizabeth Ellen (10/5): - A quiet hotel in a residential street. Very comfy bed. Great shower. Short walk to the Acropolis. Great eateries down nearby Drakou. We regularly walked down into town and back. Swimking pool is not massive but fine for a cooling swim. Hood variety at Breakfast. I'd definitely stay again.
- Naresh (10/5): - Excellent property.
- Jorge (10/5): - We booked this hotel as a last minute stay (got some flight delays). Our room was really nice, an it’s roof top provided a great view of the Acropolis
- David (10/5): - Fantastic service, close to historical sites and perfect room size
- Elisha (6/5): - Bed was not super comfortable.
- Nathaniel (8/5): - The room was small but nice.Views from room was of the wall of hotel. The breakfast was amazing! We loved everything we tried. The drawback we had was that we had to walk up a dark sketchy road up a very large hill with no good side walk to get back to hotel everyday from acropolis area.
- Shai (10/5): - Excellent location, great staff, awesome rooftop to view the city and the acropolis. From our room we could see it as well as the sea! Be prepared for some steep uphill streets coming back from the city, but it’s worth it.
- Voinea (10/5): - Good value for a hotel close to the Acropolis.
- Heather (6/5): - Hotel was outdated and worn down. The AC didnt get cool enough on warmer days. The bathroom needed updates and bleach.
- Archie (10/5): - The view of the Acropolis is breathtaking! Service was excellent. Caution- you are at the top of the hill so if you don’t like walking uphill after a meal or getting a taxi this might not be the hotel for you. For us it was perfect, they also great you with wine- a major plus.
- Isaac Gabriel (8/5): - Located in a very beautiful spot in the country, conveniently located within hiking spots. My only staffing issue is with how consistent cleaning staff were throughout my week long stay. I would still stay back here, and found it perfect as being next to the city centre.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Average - Average Athens hotel. Staff are somewhat cold. They tolerate you. Rooms are dated. But clean. Food is just average. You basically get what you pay for.
- Tigertribal (8/5): Nice Hotel - We had a room at the front of the property so there was a bit of traffic noise.
Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Tea making facilities. Fridge. Inroom safe. Wifi good. Aircon ok. Could be a few more hangers. Lack of drawer space.
Walk-in shower with good water pressure with shampoo & shower gel dispensers. Soap dispenser at basin. Hairdryer.
Basic hot & cold buffet breakfast with eggs & bacon/sausage, ham & cheese, rolls, croissants, cereals, fruit, tea & coffee.
Friendly reception staff.
Pool.
Bar
City tax €5 /night
Taxi booked via hotel to airport €47
Taxi from airport to hotel €55
Remember to bring your ID/Passport as you need to prove your identity on entry to Acropolis.
- Gary (10/5): View from rooftop terrace of city & acropolis. - Great location. Best hotel we have been to in Greece. You should see view from rooftop terrace. Rooms simple yet very well appointed.
- Emma (6/5): Ok hotel for location and price - The location of hotel is great close to everything staff on reception are lovely. The rooms are very small, they state they have laundry facilities but don’t, front doors wouldn’t work so got looked out. We had free bottle of wine on arrival and asked twice and only received as we left but was taken off us at airport due to liquid restrictions.
For location and price good hotel
- Daniel (10/5): - Staff excellent. In a great location for the Acropolis & Plaka (the old town)
Definitely value for the money
- 514nicholas (10/5): Great Stay - Stayed at this lovely hotel for 3 nights celebrating our wedding anniversary. Great location to access all the local sites, rooms comfy and breakfast great. Reception staff helpful and cleaners attended every day. Would return as loved Athens
- Francisco (10/5): - Location /view
- Jacqueline (8/5): - Room was a little small (normally not an issue, but couldn’t get the suitcase around the edge of the bed, lol). Breakfast was good. Location across from a terrific walkable park. Walking to acropolis was close, but hairy due to lack of shoulder/sidewalk on a busyish street). Water heats up fast, nice. Lots of energy-saving initiatives.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good for a reasonably priced hotel. Staff is very kind and location is perfect.
- I2437WEsharont (10/5): Pleasant weekend good location - Just returned from a weekend break staying in this hotel. We have no complaints whatsoever, the beds were soft and comfortable , the room plenty big enough. Toiletries are provided and were good, I took my own conditioner, the hairdryer was good. Our room was 508 and we enjoyed views across the city. The acropolis is not visible from the room but from the roof terrace . Breakfast was good, continental ,cereals etc. we thought we were a fair distance from the acropolis ,plaka, monisteraki sq etc but when leaving the hotel turn right and follow the road round and within minutes you arrive at the acropolis and pedestrianised walkway to plaka etc. it really is ideally located. You can also catch the hop on hop off bus at the acropolis, we did this and found it great to cover the city, 48 hour pass €25 . In the evening we went down the steps to the right of the hotel to a selection of restaurants which were fine. The walk back up the very steep hill and those steps were great to work off the calories. Wouldn't recommend this area if you have mobility issues though unless you use a taxi. The pool looked good but the weather was not great.
- 64milkman (10/5): Great hotel - Our 3rd stay in 3 years.
Very near to all the attractions of Athens.
Very comfortable and cozy rooms.
Has a great rooftop seating area with brilliant views over the fantastic koukaki area and beyond.
The breakfast buffet is excellent with a selection of different foods and in a very hygienic seating area..The cooking staff make sure that nothing runs out and always replenished items.
Must mention Ireni,1 of the cleaning girls.Wgat a great happy person she is.
The reception staff are very pleasant and helpful.
Will be back again soon.
- Steven (10/5): Couple stay - Great location near Acropolis Hill and within 5-15 minute walk of quality restaurants.
Comfy bed and two pillows.
Nice breakfast with plenty of choice for the day.
Only gripe is the curtains don't keep much light out even at night but that wouldn't stop me coming back.
- Bonnie (10/5): - Great breakfast. Quiet room. Friendly service. The only negative is climbing the hill back up to the hotel every time you go out!
- David (8/5): - Very quiet location. Great rooftop terrace
- 1980lindy (10/5): A Little Gem in Athens - I booked this hotel due to excellent reviews on trip advisor and I was not disappointed. I do not usually stay in 3* hotels but the location looked good and I thought we would give it a try.
On arrival we were quickly checked in and took the lift to the rooms on the 5th floor. I was pleasantly surprised with our rooms - mine had a double bed and my son's twin beds. The bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows. There was a kettle with some tea bags and coffee (no milk but you could bring some up from breakfast) and a fridge to keep your drinks cool. There was a wardrobe with hanging space and shelves and a safe for your use. My only criticism would be that it would be nice to have a few more hangers. The bathroom was fine, with a nice long (albeit a bit narrow) shower, and shampoo and a very nice shower gel supplied.
Breakfast was included in the price and we were very happy with the selection; eggs and bacon, cereal, rolls, various breads and pastries, cold meat and cheese, juices, fruit salad, etc. This was constantly topped up throughout breakfast.
The hotel was near the Acropolis which you could see from the big terrace on the 5th floor and all the rooms have a balcony with table and chairs. There is a pool which looked nice but you wouldn't need in February!
We walked to all the sites from the hotel and my only reason for not giving 5* for the location was that it is up a steep hill (which we were aware of before we booked). However at my ripe old age of 64, I managed to go up and down the hill every day and probably got quite a good cardiovascular workout! There is no restaurant for dinner but you can scan a QR code in your room and order a selection of food from local eateries which can be delivered to the hotel, which we did one one occasion as we were exhausted from our long day out.
We had to check out at 11.00am but were able to leave our cases in the luggage room which was very useful. Staff at the hotel were very helpful and accommodating.
All in all we had a fabulous stay and I would certainly recommend this hotel.
- 717shreyam (4/5): Not the best experience - We stayed for 4 nights in February and we unfortunately didn’t enjoy our stay as much as we had hoped to.
The hotel is located in an ideal spot - very close to Acropolis, plaka and lots of food places. The rooms are very clean. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help. The roof garden also had stunning views!
However, we thought the breakfast was unsatisfactory - they had a few pastries, cereal options and a Greek breakfast, but the range was so limited! One of the fun parts about breakfast at hotels is the huge variety, so this was a let down. The coffee machine was also basic - no lattes or anything fancy. We had room 503 and the shower was tiny! It was a tight squeeze to get in and out, and so cramped you end up bumping into the cold tiles/glass door as you move about in the shower - not fun. The furniture is also weathered and needs updating. The heating in our room also didn’t work very well as we couldn’t adjust the temperature. The rooms also need better soundproofing - we could hear all the street noise and people in the corridor. We could even hear the tv next door. Most nights we basically didn’t sleep very well because of the noise and lack of temp control. The hill on which this hotel is located is soooo steep. We’re in our 30s, in decent shape, and struggled uphill on the way back to the hotel a lot (esp after being out exploring for most of the day). We ended up Uber-ing many times (less than 5 euros most times).
So overall, not the best experience. If I were to go back to Athens, I’d pay a bit more and stay somewhere nicer with a better chance of a good night’s sleep and a more comfortable shower.
- Matthew (10/5): Great views - Great location. Nice and quiet however only a 5-10 minute walk into the tourist area. Views from the terrace are possibly some of the best you will get in Athens. There is a small bar downstairs that is exceptionally good value.
- Richard (10/5): - Great Hotel. 10 Minutes walk from Acropolis and restaurants. Nice people (and cats!)
- Mia (10/5): - Amazing property. Room service was available. Great location to the main attractions but quiet enough so you get a great rest.
- mike (10/5): - Great staff, good breakfast
- Enitan Benjamin (10/5): - It is a good place to stay just that their wifi is close to none
- 883andriat (10/5): Amazing - A very nice hotel in a very close proximity range from the historical centre and all the main sightseeings of the city including Acropolis Hill of course. Very clean and tidy room. Nice and nutritious breakfast. Very friendly staff which helped me navigating through Athens. A perfect place to stay for families and couples.
- Austin (10/5): - Friendly staff , clean rooms , great breakfast
- Wales000000 (8/5): Great location in Athens, - Lovely hotel, excellent location, breakfast was good staff were so nice, beds and pillows were real comfortable, lovely top terrace with views of the acropolis and city, I would stay again, and would like to thank the team there for the welcome, regards from Wales we stayed from the 6th to the 9th Dec 2024, room 213 with a friendly pigeon who visited our balcony, miss him,
- Matthew (10/5): Would stay again - Good location, friendly, helpful staff. The room had a balcony with a nice view. The common area patio has a view of the acropolis.
- harleyo2017 (10/5): Perfect location, lovely hotel. - We stayed in room 313, had a really nice view overlooking the city, and overlooking a cute little residential area decorated in fairy lights. Could see a few of the local dogs which did wake us up at times, made it feel like we were at home. The room was a perfect size for us, the beds were extremely comfy, and the classic European find of 2 single beds with 2 single duvets! There was a kettle with earl grey & green tea options, which weren’t to our liking, so we brought some English breakfast up from the breakfast the next morning, with some milk to keep in the fridge. The bathroom was a bit too dark, and the door being a glass mirror wasn’t ideal. Every time upstairs flushed their toilet I could hear the water going through the pipes very clearly, but not the end of the world. The breakfast was limited, but enough for us. We still managed to fill up for our adventures during the day. The location was absolutely perfect for us! Only a 5 minute walk to the Acropolis, and that’s where we started our day every morning. Very convenient to monastiraki square also! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!
- Brad (8/5): - The hotel had a great location. The breakfast was very good, and the staff were extremely helpful. The room was adequate, and the bed was comfortable.
The room and hotel as a whole were a little worn. We had trouble getting the AC to adjust, and it just kept the room too cold. The hotel was good value, and I would stay there again.
- Punter42 (8/5): Good standard of hotel - It was the first stop in a tour. It is a very nice hotel in a lovely location with views of the Acropolis. It makes an excellent base to go around Athens and the rooms are clean and a good size. There was tea but no milk and no water in the fridge. The bathroom was fine. It has balconies on most rooms which look out over the street. A nice stay.
- Richard (10/5): - Staff was really awesome - thank you for making our last night in Greece - Amazing!
- Sandeep (8/5): - Very close to all main attractions. We got lucky with amazing views. Room very small. Loads of nice restaurants near by but down loads of street stairway and very dark in evening. Breakfast very limited with hot food but good for continental. Pool nice but not clean, thus, did not use. In general, nice place to stay for 1 or 3 nights only.
- Monica (10/5): - Great location with a nice view.
- 866valeries (10/5): A really enjoyable stay - I really enjoyed my stay in the hotel. The staff were so helpful and efficient; the room was really comfortable and included a great shower and balcony, and breakfast was excellent. It was nice to be able to swim in the pool every day, and it was only a 10-minute walk to the Acropolis.
- Mark1974209 (8/5): Excellent location & fantastic breakfast! - Very well located, next to the acropolis, all tourist attractions at walking distance and metro station very close by. The room is a bit small, not much space to open 2 suitcases and door to the bathroom a bit tight next to the bed. But clean and nice little balcony with view. The swimming pool is in the center and in the shadow, therefore a bit cold to use. The breakfast is amazing with a combination of western and local options.
- Bristolboy147 (6/5): Disappointing Bed otherwise good - So I picked this hotel for two main reasons location and the pool the hotel has I knew that in September it still would be hot in Athens and would want to pool to cool off in the end of the day, it was a wise choice as it was 31c in Athens.
So the things we didn’t enjoy was the over soft bed we had two single beds which would move apart in the night and we constantly had to push them together, I found the bathroom very dark which seemed odd and we had a kettle and some tea bags but nothing was topped up, we didn’t get any milk/cream or coffee
The main plus point is the location if you walk out of the hotel and turn right and down the steps there are so great restaurants and bars and it has a great local vibe at the very bottom you find the Fix metro station. The breakfast was very nice and the staff very kind.
- MICHAEL (10/5): - Staff ,housekeeping awesome .People very nice and helpful .
- Verified traveler (6/5): Clean and safe - Staff were friendly and the breakfast was great. The room layout was ridiculous. There was no separation between the shower and the rest of bathroom no Curtin or floor step. When you shower the entire bathroom gets soaked. The only counter space in the room was 12 inches wide, not enough space for much of anything. The room was not small it was large, just open wasted space. The room lighting and the entire building is DARK. The room lights are orange yellow. The elevator light has a 3 second timer that shuts off when you get inside. All in all the place is clean, but poortly layed out.
- Jason (10/5): Amazing hotel, Athens at its best. - Wonderful stay, location brilliant - we parked on street for free day and night (do check not blocking doors or in yellow markings); from hotel to Acropolis ticket office 10 mins (and we aren’t fit); can walk to Plaka and Monsiraki square in 15-20 mins (get e-scooters if you can and much easier). Service was excellent, view from roof terrace is worth the fee alone, breakfast was fantastic - very good selection and good quality (feta or feta in filo pastry with honey is a winner). Hotel peaceful at night and right on edge of the park. Would stay here anytime I was in Athens.
- bruno1234Brussels (6/5): excellent location/noisy tour groups - OK hotel in a great location. Plaka, Acropolis,...all in walking distance. Quite a number of good restaurants a short walk down the stairs from the hotel. Stayed 2 times in september 2023 as well. At that time hotel was mainly used by individual travellers. Now it was mainly used by tour groups while the prices for individual bookings have increased quite a bit. Tour groups means noise in the corridor early morning, breakfast room completely full and a lot of noise if you go at the 'wrong' time, buffet in a mess...Would definitely return and would definitely recommend hotel if they no longer would take tour groups...
- Princepauile (6/5): Good, but needs proper double beds. - Great location, clean tidy, friendly staff. The breakfast was good nice choice. But our bed was 2 single beds pushed together. And when was sat of them and the would move part very easily. When we went to bed they would also move apart so there would be a big gap In between so sleep was abit broken. Another than that good hotel.
- ALLAN (6/5): - Room was very small . The elevator would only fit one person with one suitcase . The breakfast was good and the staff was good .
- traipsing__tina (10/5): Fabulous oasis in the midst of busy Athens - The location of the hotel is excellent for sightseeing without the need for taxis. The area around it is quiet yet just 10/15 minutes away and you are at the base of the Acropolis slopes. The metro, other historic sites and Plaka are also within walking distance.
Cristos was on the desk the day of our arrival and made us extremely welcome, giving us directions to the roof top theatre we were visiting and advice on how the metro and taxis work, to get to the meet up points for other trips. All the staff were professional, friendly and knowledgeable.
This is the first time I have ever found a hotel bed that is more comfortable than my own! The whole place was spotlessly clean and well presented. The pool was a marvellously cool place to spend an hour or so after sightseeing in the 30+ degree heat.
We requested a room with a balcony with a view of the Acropolis (a treat for our wedding anniversary) and what a view! The Acropolis can also be seen from the roof top garden for those without the view. Breakfast was calm, unrushed and plentiful whatever time you went down.
We would definitely stay here again and totally recommend the hotel for all the above reasons. Fabulous oasis to stay in the midst of an extremely busy and wonderful capital city.

- Colin (10/5): - Comfortable hotel, quiet, good location, great hot shower.
One suggestion to management: couple of tiles in bathroom need fixed where there have been chages.
- John (10/5): - 10 minutes from restaurants and the Acropolis. Wonderful hotel and location.
- Oleg (8/5): - Delicious breakfast and great locations
- glo (10/5): - Close to landmarks
- Pauline (6/5): - The hotel was tired and felt and looked not as clean as it should/could be. Great location. People very nice. The walk to Plaka or the markets is about 15 mins… lots of uphill and stairs.
- Francis (10/5): - Nice night time view of the Acropolis! Aircon was very quiet and felt cool every time! Breakfast was good enough. Would have been better with more meat selection though.. but no complaints.
- Andrina (10/5): - The staff is extremely helpful to all their guests.
- Carlos (10/5): - Great property, 5 minute walk to acropolis, awesome restaurants 3 minute walk. However don’t drink so much at dinner 63 steps coming back up to the hotel lol. Awesome place to stay, safe area. Showers are a little tight.
- Devi (8/5): - My review is a little jaded because I only found myself here when my flight out of Athens was cancelled and I could not find many places to stay. I definitely booked their last available and worst room. But, their worst and darkest room still gets four stars. Which bodes well. Otherwise, the pool is small and great for shade worshipers since it is in a completely enclosed courtyard.
The location and views are amazing! If you don’t mind walking up down hills, this might be the hotel for you!
- Onel (10/5): - All good.
- Lynda (8/5): One night - Friendly checkin, comfortable stay. We arrived late and only stayed one night so didn’t have a chance to try the pool.
- H Lloyd (10/5): - really lovely staff, a unique place to experience Athens, kept getting lost trying to get back to the hotel
- Paul (10/5): - Very close to the acropolis, close to public transit, very nice place with lots of restaurants close by.
- Scott (8/5): - Property is older and in need of some refresh. Location is close to the Acropolis as well as a hop on hop off bus stop. It it is about a 20-30 Euro cab ride from the port and about 45-50 Euro from the airport. The selection of resturants close to the hotel is limited and some a bit pricey. The staff is very friendly and professional!
- Amanda (10/5): - Fantastic location, awesome views of the city and Acropolis from the roof, and extremely friendly staff. The rooms were also very clean and the breakfast was very good.
- Tony (10/5): - Great experience!
- John (10/5): - The property is nice. It is within walking distance of the acropolis and shopping would definitely recommend staying here. The buffet breakfast is really nice.
- BARRY (10/5): - Amazing location, 6 minute walk to acropolis. 8 minutes to all the dining. Great
- John (10/5): - The hotel was within walking distance to the Acropolis and shopping it is in a great location
- Rachel (10/5): - Close to Acropolis and other areas without the crowds. Lovely rooftop area to sit and have a drink. Pleasant and helpful staff.
- Sheryl (8/5): - The Staff was wonderful & the Breakfast was excellent. The hotel was quiet. Bathroom in room did not give any privacy. Room needed a bit of updating.
- Obra (10/5): - As an American from Texas (where everything’s bigger) we weren’t ready for the teeny, tiny elevator, but it simply added to the uniqueness of the experience. This was a boutique hotel in every sense of the word. We enjoyed the quiet charm and amazing view of the Acropolis (from our balcony). If we’re ever in Athens again, we’d stay here!
