Hôtel Raphael is an incredibly beautiful and historic hotel with an amazing and attentive staff. If your stay in Paris needs to be special, this is the place. We stayed in room 608 and it was incredible. The size of the suite is that is a nice apartment in Paris and the views of the Eiffel Tower from your own private terrace ( and bed) are near beyond words! This is the place that you have been looking for.

After bookng this hotel at a big premium during the olympics, I found out the roof top was bought out during my entire stay. The hotel is in serious need of a remodel. The plumbing, fixtures, furniture and carpets are not in good shape. Normally, I book the president suite which is not in as bad of a condition. Had I know the roof top was not available, I would have booked another hotel. And for my next trip, I will book a different hotel. Hopefully, the hotel will remodel in the near future because I do love the staff, the size of the hotel, and location.

The carpets, sofa, drapes were all quite worn and better use of the space would make it so much more special especially at the cost.

I was even able to hear someone got up for bathroom use in the middle of night. I am not sensitive at all, but it was that much loud 😢 And floor is carpet which is very very old. If you are sensitive or allergic to carpet, maybe ask to hotel for different room? Otherwise beautiful! Oh! Breakfast was phenomenal as well. I miss it already.

- Val (2/5): - Was a great hotel 20-30 years ago, but went to hell. Management don’t care to take care of guests, filthy carpets, no wall outlets for electrical devices, service despicable. Its not a 5 star, it’s run down junk. Bellman won’t even load your luggage in the car, nor assist with bags. Terrible.

This is August and A/C don’t work, internet keeps cutting out, in-room dining can’t get orders straight, hotel has restaurant, but guests not allowed to order from it for in-room dining. Carpet in rooms has to be 30 years old, bathrooms are deplorable. Horribly managed now.

- Jose (10/5): - My wife and I stayed at Hotel Raphael for 8 days during the 1st part of July '23. The hotel definitely has its charm. They have worked to maintain its historic and Parisian charm while modernizing in order to provide guest with current features such as wi-fi, flat screen TV and such. The room was very spacious and comfortable and the furnishings fit the time period of the hotel. The Rooftop restaurant has an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower. The hotel is located within walking distance of a plethora of boutiques and eateries ranging from moderate to upscale. The Arc de Triomphe is within a three minute walk. By far the most impressive feature of the hotel was its staff and concierge service which provided us with restaurant reservations, tickets to the Louvre Museum and daily help with general information and directions. The entire staff's disposition was extremely pleasant, polite and very professional. We looked for a hotel which would be unique to the character of the city (Paris) and we were very happy with our selection. The location, ambience and staff made for a beautiful and memorable trip. Some suggestions that could possibly be addressed. My wife and I try to utilize the fitness facilities when traveling. While the fitness room at the Raphael was well equipped, I would probably replace the glide rowing machine with a bench and address the condition for the free weight station. Thank you for a great stay.

- Anthony (10/5): Lovely Hotel - Very beautiful hotel in great location! We were so close to Trocadero & Champs Elysses. The whole staff was so friendly our entire stay and made us feel so welcome. The room had a beautiful Versailles style decor and was very nice. We’ll definitely stay again next time and maybe upgrade to a room with Eiffel Tower view.
- Julie (10/5): Hotel Perfection At Its Finest - We absolutely loved Hotel Raphael. From the amazing decor, to the most helpful staff, and comfortable rooms, it was perfect. Sometimes boutique hotels aren't as great in terms of beds and bathroom space. Hotel Raphael has comfortable beds and large bathrooms. There is also tons of closet space. The food in the restaurant and room service was fantastic. The neighborhood is also clean, safe, and an easy walk to great shopping and restaurants - all while avoiding the crowds of more touristy neighborhoods. I would recommend this to anyone traveling to Paris.

- Christina (10/5): - This hotel is absolutely stunning! My mom stayed here on a recent trip to Paris. It’s in the perfect location just a few mins from the arch de triumph. The staff is extremely helpful and helped with things like booking dinner reservations and provided advice on getting around Paris and surrounding areas. The best thing about this place is their stunning Rooftop. This is a must see when in Paris as it has the best view of the Eiffel Tower I’ve seen. I highly recommend this property. It was a luxurious and memorable experience.
- Michael (8/5): - A beautiful styled Parisian hotel from a different era. Great location too. (5*****) Our room was a two room suite that was very comfortable for our week stay. (3***) Service however is hit and miss. Can’t say enough good things about Lionel and his concierge team, both efficient and friendly. (5 *****) The breakfast team were pleasant and very efficient. The breakfast offering had variety and was consistent each day. (5 Stars) We tried their roof top bar on our first night for a beverage and a snack. The view is spectacular! (5 *****) The bar off the main lobby, which is very European and cozy, closed nightly at 10:30p! Who does that???? So your only option for a night cap is to goto a local bar up the street or to the Peninsula Hotel across the road. (1*) On the suite front we had no espresso machine on our arrival. Three requests later the machine was delivered. Housekeeping was another story No two days offered the same results. Some days the suite was vacuumed, and some days not. More towels, less towels. A tear in the fabric on the sitting room couch. (2**) And my BIG beef was NO SHOWER hook for the hand held shower wand. Really, I get the tub thing BUT not accommodating your guests,in this day & age, with the option of taking a shower is unheard of!! (0 *) The whole idea of staying in a hotel vs Air B&B is to enjoy the niceties of being pampered/convenience.

- Deborah (10/5): - This hotel is beautiful and in a fabulous location. We could walk easily to many of the metro lines, stores, restaurants and had beautiful views. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were there at in August with 95 degree weather. The room stayed cool but the bathroom was warm, as to be expected in that heat. That said, everything else in Paris was scorching and it was nice to come back to a cool room. The rooftop bar has a breath taking view, but is pricey. Drinks were 30 euro each and Coca Cola was 18 euro. The only negatives we had were that the walls were a thin and room service had a very limited menu. We could clearly hear the guest next to us...very clearly. Room service did not have a typical American menu but the minibar was well stocked and there is a great little store around the corner with everything you could need that was open until 2AM.

- yvette (4/5): Not a restaurant in a 5 star hotel? - Hotel in a good position, staff friendly concierge very helpful. Breakfast room- Not a 5 star breakfast. No restaurant serving Dinner. Disappointing that a 5 star hotel advertised a restaurant but unfortunately there was no restaurant. They had a very nice Roof top terrace serving finger food only. Room- No heating in the room. When we asked to switch it on a staff member arrived, he turned the knob on the radiator and said it would then work. It did not. A pack of baby food left in room when we arrived (not ours) still there when we left. No cream or milk provided for use in room for tea coffee etc. We had to ask. A repair to bathroom sink and the lounge carpet was required on the first day of our stay.
