- Ernie (7/5): Nice quiet quirky hotel. - Location and ambience Shower Staff very helpful Bed very hard. No kettle. Nothing to do with the hotel but the driver of the shuttle bus to the airport was not a safe driver. The hotel are contacting the shuttle company to remedy this.
- Benedetta (8/5): Nel complesso alloggio promosso, abbiamo trascorso un buon soggiorno. - Inizio con l’elogiare il personale: sono davvero gentili e disponibili, 24 ore su 24… molto attenti nel fornirci tutto ciò che abbiamo chiesto e nel cambiare la biancheria anche ogni giorno. La posizione è eccellente, a due passi da tutte le principali attrazioni, in un quartiere sicuro e ben equipaggiato. La camera era un po’ piccola, ma abbiamo prenotato quelle Economy, quindi ce lo aspettavamo. L’unica pecca è che la nostra non era curatissima nei dettagli, mentre alcune altre doppie che abbiamo visto, di coppie che hanno viaggiato con noi, erano più confortevoli. Diciamo che la colazione non era il massimo per quanta scelta desse per chi ama quella tradizionale dolce…mentre la scelta era più ampia per la colazione internazionale.

- Dmitry (10/5): Вот что значит хороший клиентский сервис - Сервис выше всяких похвал! 👏 По-настоящему человеческое отношение сотрудников, их доброжелательность, открытость, готовность помочь с любым вопросом и забота сделали наш отдых на 100 из 100👍 В номере чисто, убирались каждый день, завтраки - вкусные, даже шли навстречу когда мы задерживались и приходили под конец отведенного на завтрак времени🙂 Месторасположение - топ🔥всего 5 мин и ты на центральной площади, где расположены главные достопримечательности и откуда легко можно уехать в разные районы Стамбула - как в европейской его части, так и до азиатской рукой подать👍 Единственный нюанс это отсутствие лифта и, поэтому, было несколько затруднительно после прогулок подниматься😅 Ну и справедливости ради сказать, это мы сами выбрали номер на самом верхнем этаже😁 Однозначное да этому отелю если вы собрались в Стамбул, все-таки отношения людей очень многое решает и способно сделать ваш отпуск действительно незабываемым🤗 Все прошло хорошо

The water was either cold or if you wanted warm water only a small amount was coming out. The staff on the other hand were very friendly! I do recommend it if you’re easy going and not looking for something fancy.

Breakfast they serve a lovely continental breakfast with a turkish twist from 8am to 10am. Location - easily accessible by tram or the bus or any other mean. Near the Haghia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Don't be shy to venture out

Same strip as the big resturants with the mosque views from above. A private rooftop view of the msoue and sea also. A real hidden gem! No elevator (I'm being picky!)

- Sue1954_12 (10/5): Close to all tourist sites - Great hotel to access all of Instanbul’s tourist attractions. 5 minutes to Sultanahmet tram. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Abdul at front desk assisted me with a lost bag on the first day and was so grateful for his assistance. If you are looking for a hotel in Istanbul I would highly recommend the Apex.

Hotel owners should know that having staffs that are relax, have a smile and love helping is one of the main things that makes a trip nicer for people. One of the night staffs that was there would not even say hi to us when we greet him.

Toilet had foul smell, and whole room would smel awfully. In room it was too hot even though it was 10 degree outside and we had to sleep with window open that was right next to bed. It is good only for stidents that will be there for 3 days.

- Roberta (7/5): Great location and great staff. Would recommend not staying on the ground floor near reception and the breakfast area. - The location was fabulous. Within walking distance to all the important places in old Istanbul. Abdullah at the front desk was fabulous! Very kind and helpful. The breakfast lady and room maid were very nice even though they spoke no English and I spoke no Turkish. Our room was on the ground floor so it was a bit noisy being near the front desk and breakfast room. The room was a bit sparse,but functional. I would recommend staying on an upper floor if you can handle stairs as there is no elevator.

- Christopher (6/5): Pleasant staff and decent hotel but let down by poor showers - The young men on the desk are very nice and the lady prepares a good breakfast spread. The rooms are comfortably furnished and the WiFi is good. The showers in both our rooms, on the 2nd and 3rd floors, were bad. On full they switched between cold and hot. It was only possible to get a nice temperature with a low water flow. The bathroom on the 2nd floor smelt bad, probably because of a blocked drain. Other hotels in this area (SultanAhmet) serve breakfast on the roof terrace, but Apex serves it on the ground floor. The breakfast room and terrace are fine, but not as good as having a view of the sea.

Lovely bright comfortable rooms. I would recommend this hotel as it has all you need . Two very good restaurants near by and plenty more in walking distance.

It may not be luxury, but it is homely and practical, and the location is perfect for exploring the main attractions of historical Istanbul.

They have the rooftop view which you can go there to see the sunrise and sunset! Thank you Arif for helping me during the stay. Surely all the staff are very kind, I am happy to say that. :) They don’t have elevator. So, be prepared for a little warm up. But the staff will help you to carry your bags. No worries

My top floor room had great view of city & sea Several times at very early and/or late hours there was considerable noise (furniture moving) on the roof deck just inches above me. I also struggled with the long walk up stairs (no elevator) to my room, Probably my fault for not reading the description of then hotel more carefully.

- Russell (9/5): A ideal, budget-friendly base to make the most out of your stay in Istanbul. - The room was light and airey, with a large window to enjoy the view and catch some sea breeze. A big, comfortable bed, a rooftop terrace with magical views and a huge, varied breakfast. Great friendly staff too. Getting woken up early by the call to prayer, but everywhere would have that same experience.

- Nastassia (7/5): Not a bad stay - The property location was very good! Recommend it if you’re planning your visit for several days and want to see as many famous places as possible. The staff was very nice and friendly offering help and advice if needed. Breakfast included was also quite diverse and enough for such price of the stay. And can’t mention the terrace view from the hotel roof, it’s really beautiful:) Cleanliness of bathroom was not good enough, so recommend to take your home slippers for this case.. Additionally, there were 3 of us (girls) and leaving us with 1 toilet paper pique us to ask for it .. Another problem was the safe deposit box: be ready that it will not work and you will have to take all your stuff with you. We even locked our money and passports inside without chance to open it after, so had to ask for the help at reception desk (finally they open, but with a special key). They brought us another one but it didn’t work either, so till the rest of our stay we were without the safe.

- Ha (8/5): Very good - The property was located in a very convenient and nice neighborhood, near Blue Mosques and Hagia Sophia. The top room was spacious and the owner was very nice :) The view from terrace was magnificent - one 1 side overlooked ports/sea and on the other side you could see Blue Mosque - as photos that I have attached. - As it is located near Mosques, around 5am you can hear prayers through speakers of those Mosques which woke us up. - There was no lift in the property. - The breakfast starts at 08:00, which I think is common for Turkey, however comparing to other countries it is a little but later.

- Trevor Francis (8/5): - Very convenient location walkable to many of the main attractions, friendly staff and a good breakfast to start the day. Was great to receive free bottled water most days. The room was exceptionally warm but after running the air conditioning for a couple of hours it got a lot cooler. Facilities were generally good although some shower fittings were a little loose.

- Daniel (10/5): - This is an excellent option for being in the heart of Istanbul old town. The location is perfectly situated for seeing a lot of the major sites. Close to major transportation hubs giving great access to this amazing city! I highly recommend this hotel. Great host and roof top view of the waterway.

My room was compact but loved how bright and colourful it was and the bed was big and comfortable- perfect for a solo traveller. The staff were also great- especially Ismet who was so nice and helpful. Definitely recommend staying here for a couple of nights when you’re in the city.

The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to assist us with everything we needed. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area!

- Kseniia (6/5): Pleasant - Generally the hotel is ok, you can stay there if you are a budget tourist. It’s city centre, a lot of attractions are available by walking. Price was cheep and fair. Size of our room is super small and tiny. Our room was on the ground floor, and we can hear everything what happen on the resections desk late at night, all conversations, calls etc. Also you can hear early morning preparation for breakfast by staff: sounds of plates, glasses, their talks etc. Maybe it’s better to provide to this room a couple earplugs before check in. The shower was weird: first fine temperature water, then all the sudden cold, then too hot, then again too cold… We stayed there 2 nights, and on the second night they changed towels, but forgot to provide big towels, only small. The window in our room (ground floor) technically was there, but there was no daylight at our room at all, during the day we all the time used lights. Additionally there was some small black mold is our shower, what I hope staff will fix soon.

- Mike (9/5): Welcoming stay at the heart of Istanbul - The host was super friendly! Always welcoming us with a smile. And breakfast was de-li-cious, truly a fresh prepped meal each and every day. Plus, it is a hard to beat location, close to famous landmarks as Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. The rooftop gives a beautiful view on the Blue Mosque as well by the way! Everything was simply wonderful. The only small remark/detail would be the shower on the top (3rd) floor. Somehow, it was tricky to manage the water pressure of the shower head, and to regulate the heating of the water.

The photos on the website are fully consistent, the room is clean, the interior is pleasant, interesting and pleasing to the eye. There is an open terrace on the roof, the view of the sea and the surrounding area is excellent. The area is very beautiful, all the attractions are within walking distance. The hotel staff is friendly and very attentive. They will help, prompt, and find everything for you to ensure the convenience of their guests. - Soraya (8/5): A nice stay in Sultanahmet - The staff is very kind, especially Ismet Bey and the location is very good, very near the Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque. The shower seems to have a problem: either too hot or too cold. Breakfast is quite the same everyday, not very varied.

Hotel staff were very pleasant- held our bags for two days while we went to Cappadocia and helped us arrange things for airport transfers etc. The view from our room was beautiful- we had the ocean and Mosque view. I would stay here again!

- Sally (8/5): Perfectly positioned , beautiful buffet **** - This hotel is perfectly situated in the old city. In a cobbled street nesr a number if resturants and only 5/10 minutes walk from the sultanahmet square and a lovely little bazaar. The room was brightly decorated and equipped with a small fridge and air con . The bed was large and comfortable. Towels were changed regularly and tolietries provided. A couple of days water was left for us too. The buffet breakfast was excellent , with a large range of foods available , as well as hot drinks. Staff were very helpful , arranging our airport transfer out too . The roof top terrace had chair's and tables up there and the views were stunning . The blue mosque from the back abd the Bosphorus from the front . Why not 5 ou of 5 then ? The room was very small very little room for all our clothes ( maybe i took too much ) The stairs to the roof topbterrace need lighting at night ...it felt tricky to get up and down. Definitely recommend the hotel though
